Another NPC from the campaign I'm DMing!
My players just had an audience with Lady Perenne, the ruler of the Autumn Court in the Feywild, so here she is! ☺️💖

I love that, regardless of any other fey nature or trickery, Morri genuinely seems to love Fearne. There's no question in her greeting that she does see her as her own granddaughter, as much as Fearne sees Morri as her grandmother unequivocally.

Between Fearne’s voice and some of the songs on her playlist, and Morrighan’s whole vibe, I’m really hoping Bells Hells eventually goes to the part of the Feywild that’s apparently like if the Pastoral Symphony section of Fantasia crashed into Some Like it Hot

beau....ohhuuugh
#youre telling me this character that was originally supposed to have frat boy vibes didn't keep that vibe bc it was a front she had put on#to protect herself... ure saying asshole with a heart of gold over here... angry women supremacy. I think abt her so much all the time#she's The Character I can't look directly at bc. Well. day one when I watched cr and saw her I was like#oh yes this one I love her <3 I understand her <3 and by GOD do I understand her. too much. ow!#characters that scramble your brain#she's so smart and she's so angry and she was talked down to and ignored and treated like a burden for so long ohhh#she's not a burden. she made a show of shoving her way into tmn but they had always wanted her there#even when they fought. when she started shit or when someone else started shit and she spoke up#she's an extra perspective she's incredibly loyal she wants people to be safe and sane and she helps with that in her way#oh my god and she is so nonjudgemental. caleb told her his backstory in ep fuckin 18. that's SO early. and she gave him some shit for it#for a while but when it comes down to it she didn't tell the others and she didn't start a fight then and there#she cares. she's just not the most careful. but then she learns how to be. ohhhhhuggh#her character growth was her learning that she's respected and an equal and feeling less like a burden and more like a friend and getting#VALIDATED. being told by not only tmn but The Cobalt Fucking Soul that what had happened to her shouldnt have happened#I am going to. Die#also DEEPLY insane to me that it took as long as it did for her backstory stuff to come up not because I think it should have come up#sooner but because that's so thematically appropriate. you have sea gods and evil archmages and archfey cultists and yasha's missing#memories and then you have a girl from a winery who wasn't raised kindly or fairly and that's it. the hag wasn't her fault. it shouldn't#have been something she had to deal with. most of it is so mundane but that trauma is treated with the same seriousness as everything else#hbbngngnhngnnhnh...

The only way I know to cope with a day like today is remind myself why I’m doing what I’m doing and to listen to Hozier at twilight with a refreshing drink and an otherwise quiet moment

I can't get the idea of a faerie/fae Dark Urge out of my mind. Like she's Bhaal's little insect faerie princess (who may or may not also be of a bloodline descended from an arch fey like Mab or Oona), that one minute was causing chaos in the feywilds and the next got drawn into the material plane. Sure she's an absolute murder gremlin but she also steals names, eats dreams, harvests teeth to turn to gold, mentally fucks with most people, constantly playing with magic. She looks somewhat normal (elven, light pink skin, an abundance of freckles some looking star shaped, pink hair, and tiefling like eyes; black scalera with purple irises) yet when at times you look upon her shadow there's wings upon her silhouette. And then at some point the glamour slips revealing an extra set of eyes and arms as well as a pair of iridescent butterfly-like wings.
Idk. I've already named her Ithaca and in some ways I've modeled her after traditional faeries with a weird hint of orchid mantis vibes. Just a sparkly girl that was dropping bodies like sheep in the feywilds before getting lured to Faerun. Everything is a game and her brand of fun can either been comical or downright deadly. And being fae there's the aspects of deception and being alluring/charming to boot.
I still haven't decided if she would embrace her legacy of bhaalspawn or reject it. Maybe the latter because it just gets to a point of being no fun anymore

So what you're saying is that fey fight by vibe checking each other?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You're all correct and also very wrong.
They fey fight like this (with Gosling Ken and Liu Ken as the Archfey):
With one notable exception: While the fey see this battle as both incredibly serious AND non-lethal, the mortals in the middle would in fact be VERY vulnerable to any weapons wielded, as their perspective is different than the fey fighting. It's why meddling in the conflicts of the fey as a mortal is so inadvisable. The fey around you, at the end of the day, will be fine as long as they're not planning on legitimately killing (permanently) the other side. And in my version of the feywild, they rarely want to, as removing one archfey just gives rise to others.

Sanders Sides as DND Classes (but trying to not be stereotypical)
(No hate to any other configurations, I just think these would be personally funny, and I like the idea of them being different classes)
Patton- Warlock:
I'd imagine he's working for a Celestial, or some Fiend or Archfey who caught him. Sticks to healing spells, but his patron's expectation will take over or he'll act on reaction, and he goes into a more volatile state. Is only on the adventure because his patron wants it, and he feels obligated to obey because 'they know best'.
Roman- Rogue:
Arcane Trickster who puts a lot of his magic into putting up a princely facade to get what he wants. Illusion magic with flair is his specialty, but he's also incredible at chatting up people and convincing them to do what he'd like them to without fighting. He steals because he has to, and the adventure is his and his brother's ticket out of this life.
Remus- Ranger:
This bitch is a Swarmkeeper with rats for flavor! While he's not particularly sneaky, he makes up for it with a swarm that is able to follow his command, and they can be stealthy enough on the battlefield to make up for his distraction. Stays with Roman, and wants to keep his brother safe on the adventure.
Virgil- Paladin:
Virgil is on the Oath of Redemption after something tragic happened and he blamed himself, I think. Extremely protective of the party, probably takes the Sentinel feat, and sticks to physical combat rather than magical due to the make-up of the party. Is on the adventure to atone, but also cause he probably bonded w/ Patt before they left.
Logan- Barbarian:
It's cause he rages, obviously /j. But actually, I think he's Path of the Storm Herald, as it has some of the widest variation in usefulness in the game but also requires a lot of strategy to make it work properly, which makes it perfect for Logan. He's probably on the adventure because he has to be, though, and not for any ulterior motive.
Janus- Artificer:
This is a bit of a leap, but let me explain. I think Alchemist Janus makes perfect sense, and with the "snake-oil" salesman vibe he generally gives off, I think he'd do well with experimental elixirs and AOE spells, since he can stay off the battlefield but also play support when Patt goes off. He's doing this adventure for the money.

For something more fluffy and funny
Imagine the AUs playing fucking DnD with Husk as the DM (because he was around the time DND got invented and I can see Husk being a good DM).
There is also a rule that there can only be ONE (maybe two depending on how big the party size is ) bard because Husk knows if that rule doesnt exist he's gonna have so many vicious mockery rolls its gonna give him a headache.
As for classes, now this is just me assigning peeps classes based on vibes and if they would play or not. If people have their own suggestions, please do share owo. (also please note I am baby DND noob, so most of info is coming from Baldur's Gate 3's wiki)
Canon Alastor-Bard, that is if anyone can get him to play and make him promise not to do something insane like teleport them into the world of DnD. (College of Lore branch). Sidenote: he only got bard because of that one animation where Alastor cats vicious mockery just insult Lucifer's height wheeeze. also because if you told al could hurt people with magical insults, he would go for it let's be honest.
Canon Vox-Artificer, since it seems up his ally but again this is a case of, can you get him to play it, probably more willing than canon Al, but would also rage quit if he fails dice rolls. (Artillerist branch)
Swap Alastor-He gives Cleric vibes. Probably more willing, but you would have to walk him through stuff. Probably ends up the team mom against his will. (Life Domain branch)
Swap Vox-Torn between Fighter or Paladin, leaning more towards Fighter. Probably not so willing, but would if his Alastor was. Would probably leave others for dead. (Champion Branch for Fighter, maybe Oath of Devotion branch for Paladin).
Secretly Married Alastor-Rogue, like Canon, would need to be talked into it, but may lean towards more willing just to humor it. Takes a lot of the notes and rolling the highest perception checks (Arcane trickster branch)
Secretly Married Vox-Sorcerer, like his partner, doing it to humor it (and also because sorcerer class sounded cool to him). Is hyping up his Al and somehow skating by on his rolls (example if the roll success require is like 15, he barley just makes it with the help of his modifiers). Also storm sorcery branch
Dadstatiocradio Alastor-Bard, because he does not trust his canon part to not pick fights with vicious mockery. May know more about the game thanks to his Charlie or not, who knows, but is the most willing to join in I say. (College of Valour branch).
Dadstaticradio Vox-Okay this one is hard, but like, he gives Enchantment branch wizard vibes tbh. Maybe just me tho. Also the most willing. Would threaten to cast fireball to make everyone shut up.
Radio Guard Alastor-Torn between Bloodhunter and warlock (Fiend branch because haha get it his deal with Lucifer). Probably legit only joined because Husk needed another sane player and or he was bored and was just "Fuck it". Is the one who takes it a bit more seriously and trying to gather the most information.
Radio Guard Vox-Ranger, because he thought it would be fun. Like Dadstaticradios, he is the most willing to join. Prides himself on headshots when he can get them in campaigns. ( Hunter branch maybe).
Blueberry-Warlock, really only joins after some convincing (and the promise of canon Alastor will be nice to him). The running joke and just confirmed campaign canon is Husk is Blueberry's patron who helps guide him around. (Husk Patron branch /j, Archfey tech).
Highschool Al and Vox are Dms with Husk since idk what they would be tbh.
May do a part 2 since this just,,,Vox and Als hfkdsjf
-⚔️ anon
I know the vicious mockery animation you're talking about it KILLS me I love it
I know very little about DnD as much as I want to learn but I love all of this so much, the overwhelming amount of AUs we have gathered makes for so much chaotic content when they're grouped together. You're so creative w these ideas

this girl doesn't have a proper name OR backstory but i'm still so cray over her vibes that i'm forcing her to break it down. infodump under the cut. !!! music is [ the instrumental for Scamper from the Lethal Company FNF mod ] !!!
autognome/miscellaneous dnd automata bardlock (college of whispers/eloquence (undecided) + archfey) (working name is Poppet) that had the whole mechanical doll maid deal for a nondescript aristocratic estate, particularly renown in the house for her skill with the fiddle, that at some point finds herself in the depths of the feywild (whether that be through estate's family ties to the fey, or simply a horribly off-track stroll through the garden), devil-went-down-to-georgia's a truce out of a malevolent fey with her trusty fiddle, and after some deliberation finds herself in the employ of it (again not fleshed out by any means so i don't know exactly what her bargain entails. freedom from servitude seems pretty reliable and i enjoy the idea of giving her a bit of polite malevolence toward those of flesh but it's not clicking how i want it to, so my search continues)

have you thought about any of your da ocs in bg3 and vice versa?
i talked abt my da guys in bg3 here and here! :)
as for morghaine in dragon age... blood mage feels like a natural translation for warlock, but i find it quite limiting, it leans more towards fiend warlocks and doesn’t really fit morghaine’s vibe. (now, wyll would be a blood mage knight-enchanter.) what might be more interesting is to play morghaine as some kind of spirit warrior, an ordinary person who gained a handful of unnatural powers in a “pact” with a spirit of hope or compassion (their mother the selkie) that they as a child had freed from mages seeking to corrupt it into demon... only for that pact to become twisted by the pride demon (the archfey) who held dominion over the spirit’s home section of the fade. all of which is actually really fucking cool
they would probably also have partial vashoth heritage to account for their grey skin tone and history of being mistrusted on sight

A couple months ago there was a week i got heavily into making music in Garageband and I made a small selection of tracks inspired by one of the campaigns I’m a part of! I really love figuring out what characters sound like.
Petrichor - This first track is a theme for Petrichor. I wanted to find a specific leitmotif for them, i feel the instruments/vibes would be of a moody rock quality - something that would play when they’d fly over the city at night and find rest on a rooftop, giving themself time to watch the city lights before dawn breaks.
Fey-Touched - this one started out as a theme for the Duke, their archfey patron (otherworldly synth/percussion) but became a theme for just. Their fey magic in general. The whispered rhythm contains their name and the name of their friend Willow, whose powers awakened due to the actions of that same archfey and who became part of that magic herself .
Pact Blade - This one is a cooler fighty tune- it contains the Duke’s percussion and Petrichor’s electric guitar, which translates well into a more punk rock, action-packed track. Petrichor’s leitmotif and the Fey-Touched theme are there together, signifying that while this magic is not innate to them, what matters is what they do with it.
Like We Did in That Farmhouse - This one is a theme for their relationship with their mother, Charlotte - wanting a better life for her was their initial call to action, and so I made a track to represent how important that relationship is. I was trying to go for instruments that “sounded” like coming home. Petrichor’s leitmotif is present, in an attempt to communicate how so much of who they are is in what they would do for the people they love.
Determined and Withdrawn - this is an attempt at figuring out what Skaros, their father, would sound like. It’s got cello, horns, percussion meant to be solemn, serious, very throne room-ey - better fit for a hero and leader than a father. Petrichor’s leitmotif is somewhat present, a nod to what he left behind / the person behind the Imperator. The acoustic guitar is also meant to evoke a previous generation, compared to Petrichor’s electric - and a shared theme between them, of what you’re willing to do for the people you love.
but yeah I like music and like learning how to make music! I want to make more related to this and the other campaign I’m in, these are fun to do

Golden Wind D&D AU
Alright, since I've been encouraged by @razumairon and I've been thinking about this for a While, Bucci Gang in a D&D setting!
(My thoughts on La Squadra can be found over here)
Giorno: Half-elf, Circle of Shepherds Druid-- yeah, Giorno, druid; sky, blue; water, wet; I'm not sure what anyone was expecting. Bucciarati: Sea elf! I've made jokes before about him being an Archfey Warlock and his vibes also suit Paladin (Oath of Devotion, maybe?) but I think, ultimately, I like the thought of him being a Bard--College of Lore to be specific. ... And for those of y'all who watch Tulok's Building Character yes I got that idea from him, but listen. If it works it works. And then you swap in the Reborn lineage halfway through the campaign-- okay, no, I'm kidding about that part. Abbacchio: Lineage-wise I don't think I settled on anything specific for him (I feel like there's a bunch of arguments you could make for various ones for him) but what I am very solid in is him being a Knowledge Cleric! (He tried the Paladin thing and it didn't work out.) Narancia: ... Honestly, I like the idea of him also being a half-elf (maybe half-Eladrin?), but regardless, he's a Drakewarden Ranger. Yes, his little dragon spirit buddy would be Aerosmith. Fugo: Fallen Aasimar, Way of Mercy Monk-- Now, before y'all say anything about that particular subclass, hear me out: the Hands of Harm feature to inflict necrotic damage, and the Physician's Touch feature, which lets him inflict the Poisoned condition on something he hit with Hands of Harm. It's The Vibes. Trish: Tiefling, College of Glamour Bard. Specifically, she's a Bloodline of Glasya Tiefling, since Glasya's the one I can easily see Diavolo having dealings with. Mista: Human, Champion Fighter. I don't know what y'all expected.
