Ardyn was beside himself while he cast a glance toward his guest. Both he and Lunafreya had barely escaped the clutches of the Leviathan. Each of them carried their own set of wounds. Injuries that never would've transpired if Ardyn had just followed his plan. It should've been so easy, plunging the dagger into Luna's chest yet he hesitated. The anger Ardyn had toward the last throes of his humanity couldn't be fathomed.

If Luna wasn't in his presence, there was no telling what Ardyn would've done to himself. He had thrown fate off its course, and may have jeopardized his plans that were years in the making. All because he had a weak spot for a pathetic mortal girl who reminded him so much of his dear Aera. He was disgusted with himself.

"Ardyn," He was taken out of his thoughts by Lunafreya's voice. His brows knitted into a glare while he studied her. She approached his side, kneeling before the spot he was sitting at and grabbed a hold of his hand.

Ardyn swallowed and tensed under her delicate touch. His fingers trembled upon feeling a warmth trickle through his flesh, touching the deep recesses of his old self he had long abandoned. An aura of light surrounded his wrist where she grasped.

"Please let me heal you," Luna beckoned. She peered up into his amber eyes. A softness graced her voice as did her face. "I vow the people of Tenebrae and Lucis will know of what you did to save my life."

Ardyn's mouth slightly opened. He felt paralyzed. Unable to comprehend much but the scourge within his body trying to recede away.

"There's no need for aid." His voice trailed off.

The pleasant sensation that traveled through Ardyn's blood was paved by a subtle pain that grew and grew. It seemed Luna herself could sense it as her expression turned morose on his behalf.

"All in thrall to darkness, shall know peace."

Ardyn closed his eyes. The voices of thousands he had taken into himself screamed. He had enough. He couldn't sustain her light even if a part of him wanted to savor it.

Ardyn shook his head and shoved Lunafreya aside. She nearly fell over herself from the force. The Niflheim airship hit some turbulence, causing both Ardyn and Luna to bounce before they each grabbed a hold of something. Once stabilized, an eerie calm took precedence.

A long and heavy silence fell between the two while either of them stared at the other. There was an unspoken acknowledgement that a line had been crossed, and that Luna knew a painful truth.

"I'm sorry, I just--"

"Can't trust anymore because of your past?" Luna finished.

Ardyn didn't say a word, neither did he nod. His whole story was written in his eyes. Lunafreya may not have seen his memories, but he knew she felt the scourge. She had touched his pain and the traumas that festered within it all.

"It's okay," Luna said gently, giving a nod. "I get it."

Ardyn averted his gaze, letting out a deep breath. As much as he wanted to relish in her statement, that someone understood where he was coming from, Ardyn had to have the last word.

"You're a foolish girl." He said bitterly.

Umbra and Pryna Theory

Guys, I have a crazy theory: It always seemed logical that Umbra was somehow related to Noctis and Pryna was somehow related to Luna - that these are their totem spirits, guardians, or something like that. But what if they are associated with the Lucis Caelum and Nox Fleuret families themselves, and not specific people? Prina died in "Episode Ignis", let's say, not only because of Luna, but because Starscourge in Ravus's prosthesis had already begun to affect him, and he was slowly degrading, ceasing to be human, so Nox Fleuret family, in fact, ceased to exist. From this the question "Why, after the death of all the Lucis Caelum, including Noctis and Ardyn, did Umbra survive?" becomes even more interesting. :)

Finally reading the companion novel ffxv dawn of the future. Chapter 1 is just. Episode ardyn, which I already played years ago but read anyways in case there was a something different.

The rest are original stories/alternate ending stuff which like episode ignis and prompto are really cool. Then I realized. Is this. Is this literally the scrapped plots of the other canceled DLCs for episodes aranea and Luna. Bruh.

Bruh. The Luna noct ardyn team up against the gods. The cool alternate ending. Also aranea highwind literally a mommy/milf????? Canon milf.....

⋞⁘♔⁘⋟ As Lysander described the cave that was in mention, Ravus paused his beginning footsteps. Head tilted, he looked toward the young man with contemplation. He liked his cabin. Yet, a deep cavern filled with ice crystals and other native fauna was also inviting. Both possibilities offered him a level of comfort that Ravus would be satisfied with, so it hardly mattered where they ended up.

“I suspect where I implied contains a vastly greater number of soft surfaces, yet…” A soft hum resonated as Ravus stared off into the distance, pensively. At times his disposition made it seem as though his focus or attention were faint, but in truth, it was the precise opposite. Ravus saw everything.He gazed off, watching one of Ardyn’s redcaps chasing a squirrel through the treetops. He heard the bubbling sound of Luna’s pixies playing atop the surface of the lake, clear along it’s further embankments. Dryads rustled their parched leaves while a raven familiar let out a throaty croak in the skies above.

Eyes fell closed as the awareness overtook him and Ravus reveled in it for a breath or so. “Whichever you like. If you wish the cave then, lead onward…”

His lips curled just slightly in an almost-smile. Ah, of course. Those questions were so often amongst the first when it came to the inquiries of those from the human towns. “Yes,” he answered, opening his eyes to look toward Lysander. “All that you speak of.” Especially the unicorns. Ravus liked unicorns.

"Well if you want cold then the cave it will be. Don't worry you'll find it comfy", he said with a smile as he moved to lead the stranger to his own little hideaway.

"Really?! Dragons!", he said a hint of childlike excitement in his voice as he lead the way. He'd always wanted to see a dragon. He'd seen bones before, bones that others had claimed to be that of dragons, or baby dragons but for all he knew they could just be bones from different animals pieced together.

The mere thought of all such creatures existing out there made him far to excitable and yet reality all but slammed into him as they reached the cave. The fact that these creatures existed was thrilling but why had he never seen one. Was this strange man merely pulling his leg? Jesting with him for some reason?

"If... if they're real then why have I never seen one? If these creatures are real why don't they show themselves? Gran always said there were redcaps in the forest and pixie and brownies but I've never seen one", he said as he made his way through the cave stopping to strike flint to rock in order to light a torch conveniently hidden.

The further into the cavernous cave the cooler it seemed to get. The flames caused the rock around them to almost sparkle. When he reached as deep as he would go he set the torch in a small holder.

The area around him was covered in a thick layer of hay with furs and cushions covering it, a small fire pit in the center of the decor. Lysander smiled and motioned for Ravus to have a seat. He himself flopped down on the furs and looked up at the cavern ceiling.

"Normally there are glow worms up there they make the darkness look as if there are stars in the sky. But I think they are sleeping during this time of the year. It looks amazing when they're glowing the water in the lake glows too", he said quietly.

I've been rping on this hellsite since 2012-ish, doing group rps (admittedly lots of very cringe ones). When one group I was in disbanded, I ended up getting into indie rp with my ocs from said group and realized I enjoyed the freedom of Indie rp much more. Didn't rp canon muses until somewere around 2019 when I began writing for the FFVII fandom, but then made Alucard on a whim mostly to do 1 X 1 rp but then realized I enjoyed writing him so much I made him my main blog. I mainly stick to Alucard but my other blogs are @hatredheld (Sephiroth), @ichorbled (Ardyn Lucis Caelum) and @ofimmortalis (Undertaker)

Skrunkly villain types, preferably with the saddest backstories imaginable. Honestly I just see what I vibe with or relate to, but my favorite sort of tropes are anything supernatural or gothic horror themed.

FLUFF: Cute, good stuff. I don't write it often but writing Alucard in helplessly fluffy scenes heal my broken ass heart.

ANGST: LISTEN do you put your muses through trauma or are you normal.... I love the pain, I live for the pain- give it to me rn.

SMUT: So I can't say I write this too often, maybe it's because I have low-libido muses but generally I prefer to smut only with mutuals I'm comfortable with but tbh it's not really a high priority on any of my blogs.

PLOT / MEMES: I like the concept of plotting but lbr.... I have a single braincell and I have the hardest time coming up with concepts! I like memes, they're a fun, easy way to get the ball rolling on interactions plus they kind of do the hard work for you. I can't tell you how many cool plots I've developed from memes!

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Shinryu Quests with Sephiroth Part 11

The Shinryu fights (level 300; currently the hardest kind of fight in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game) in this post feature Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII as part of the team lineup.

Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII

My Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII (#ad) is Level 90 and Crystal Level 90. His 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and BT are fully MLB. His Ex is at Ex+ 3/3 or Purple. His Burst weapon has been upgraded to BT+ 3/3 or Green.

Seph’s currently equipped with a Level 5/5 Greatsword Ultima Weapon (UT). His High Armor’s been upgraded to Blue. All of his Boards have been completed. He has his Bloom Stone.

He has 3 Attack 108 with Max Brave 330 Artifacts and 3 Attack 108 with One-Winged Angel Boost★★ (Raises INT BRV, MAX BRV, ATK, DEF by 5% if HP is MAX at start of last wave) Artifacts.

Sephiroth is equipped with the following A Spheres:

Edgar Roni Figaro’s (from Final Fantasy VI) Debuff Power

Increases BRV damage dealt by 10% while an enemy is debuffed

Cloud Strife’s (from Final Fantasy VII) Critical Power

Raises BRV damage dealt with critical hits by 10%

Vayne Carudas Solidor’s (from Final Fantasy XII) Broken Power

When attacking target afflicted with Break: • Increases BRV damage dealt by 10%

I talk more about this in other posts, but I’ve been using Sephiroth for Lufenia (level 200) and Lufenia+ (level 250) quests basically ever since I got his LD and BT even back when he wasn’t that good at all. I’d like to keep using him even for Shinryu quests.

Steps Severe (Intersecting Wills) Shinryu Quest

Also known as Steps Severe Pt. 14 SHINRYU. This quest has 1 wave with 2 enemies, Golbez from Final Fantasy IV and Ardyn Izunia (Ardyn Lucis Caelum) from Final Fantasy XV. They have 90 million HP each.

For this fight, my team was Sephiroth, Cor Leonis from Final Fantasy XV and Lunafreya Nox Fleuret from Final Fantasy XV with Ifrit as my summon. My Calls were Seymour Guado’s from Final Fantasy X, Raijin’s from Final Fantasy VIII, and Prishe’s from Final Fantasy XI.

Have Lunafreya’s and Cor’s 15cp, 35cp, Ex, FR, and LD fully MLB. Their Ex weapons have been Purpled. Lunafreya has her Burst weapon and it’s been upgraded to Green or BT+ 3/3.

Cor and Lunafreya have their High Armors. Cor’s High Armor has been Realized to 0/3 while Luna’s has been Blued.

All of their Summon Boards have been completed. They have their Bloom Stones. They have triple perfect Artifacts. Cor has triple RF Spheres while Lunafreya has triple real Spheres.

All of Lunafreya’s Character Enhancement Boards and Force Enhancements have been completed.

For Cor, just unlocked parts of his Char Boards, particularly the tiles that would give me his LD Call and LD extension passive. Didn’t get any of his Force Enhancements.

Lunafreya is a really good support, buffer, and healer. She provides excellent buffs and auras for the party. She can also enchant the party and imperil enemies with the ice and water elements.

By spamming her first skill, she can quickly charge the force gauge. She can use her LD to give her allies and herself multiple turns in a row.

Cor is a support slash DPS. He can deal pretty good damage but he can also support the party via his buffs and auras. He can battery the party and he even provides party-wide HP Regen.

His main gimmick is giving one of his allies a buff that links him to them. This causes him to attack and deal damage to the enemy right before the char he’s linked with gets to move.

On battle start, Ardyn does a pre-emptive attack then he and Golbez buff themselves. These buffs have no turn duration but they will be dispelled as soon as Golbez and Ardyn are broken.

The pre-emptive attack shouldn’t have been a problem except for the fact that Cor always ends up getting broken. If Ardyn succeeds in breaking a char, then he instantly gets another turn.

So what happens is Ardyn does his pre-emptive attack on battle start. He succeeds in breaking Cor which causes him to instantly get another turn. This always ends with him killing one of my chars.

And that all happens before any of my chars can even get the chance to move or do anything.

No matter how many times I restart, the same thing always happens. Cor gets broken since mine isn’t fully built. Lunafreya and Sephiroth are safe since they’re fully built.

Don’t really want to spend the resources needed to max out Cor just for this one fight though. Also don’t want to drop him because my plan is to use his FR so just changed my summon from Ifrit to Diabolos.

Diabolos’s Blessing is “Raises INT BRV by 50%; 50% damage boost to elemental weakness if HP ever falls below 80%”.

Thanks to Diabolos, Cor was able to avoid being broken by Ardyn’s pre-emptive attack.

My chars end up losing about half of their HP or thereabouts but that’s fine as long as no one gets broken.

Luna can quickly get everyone back to full health on her first turn. And then she and the others can focus on breaking the enemies right away to get rid of their buffs.

After switching my summon to Diabolos, this fight became easier to deal with. Had Lunafreya quickly charge my force gauge. Had Cor link himself to Seph. Had Sephiroth use his BT+ finisher.

One of the effects of Sephi’s BT+ is that it will set the brave of all enemies to 1 for 4 turns, making it really easy to just keep on breaking and delaying them.

When my force gauge was fully charged, switched out Lunafreya for the friend support Kain Highwind from Final Fantasy IV that I borrowed.

Kain’s a DPS whose main gimmick is being able to deal off-turn damage. When he gets max stacks of his overhead buff, he can jump or fly up into the air.

As long as he’s up in the air, then he’ll deal off-turn damage every time someone on the field does anything.

Had Kain use his BT+ finisher and his LD (this will instantly give him max stacks of his overhead buff) then had him fly up into the air.

After making sure that Cor was still linked to Sephiroth, had him activate his FR already. By then Golbez was at 86% HP while Ardyn was down to 79% HP.

The force time effects of Cor’s FR are as follows:

HP damage bonus +5% after party member’s additional attack triggered not on own turn

HP damage bonus +40% when party member deals at least 9999 BRV damage in 1 hit on party member’s own turn

When it was Sephiroth’s turn again, had him activate his BT+ finisher although in retrospect, should have tried to stall for a bit until I only had 7 turns of force time left.

Instead, what happened was I still had 10 turns of force time left when I went into Seph’s BT+ mode. Was able to deal a lot of damage anyway but still. Would have been able to deal more if I’d waited a bit.

As it was, still had 4 turns of force time left by the time Sephiroth was about to cast Heaven’s Light, his finishing Burst+ move. The HP damage bonus was at 385%.

Had my chars focus on Ardyn so he was now down to 52% HP while Golbez still had 71% HP left.

Actually found myself pretty impressed with Cor. His FR is good. His auras and buffs were pretty good too. His gimmick is nice and means even more damage.

For someone who wasn’t fully built and who wasn’t even boosted in this fight, Cor did really well.

So I actually found myself seriously considering spending the resources needed to max him out. After all, he and his FR work well with Seph. And he can help boost Sephi’s damage too.

Plus he himself deals pretty good damage as well. Could definitely use more damage to help Sephiroth. Because sadly, I’ve been noticing that Sephiroth needs more help to clear a Shinryu quest.

He still does well enough but now there’s no way he can finish a Shinryu fight in just 1 FR and his own BT+ phase. He doesn’t even have Force Enhancements yet or his own FR.

So I decided to quit this fight to max out Cor. By then Golbez was at 47% HP while Ardyn was at 17% HP so I probably could have gotten the win after another FR or 2.

But since I was gonna max out Cor anyway, decided I'd try this fight again after he’s been fully built.

Got Cor’s Force Enhancements to Level 30 of 30. Completed all of his Char Boards. Spent the 3 Ingots needed to Blue his High Armor.

Changed my summon to Odin. My Calls were now Prishe’s, Seymour’s, and Kurasame Susaya’s from Final Fantasy Type-0.

This time Cor didn’t get broken by the pre-emptive attack even without having Diabolos set as my summon.

Had Lunafreya quickly charge the force gauge again. Had Sephiroth use his BT+ finisher again. Had Cor link himself to Sephi again.

When my force gauge was fully charged, switched out Lunafreya for the friend support Kain that I borrowed again. Had Kain use his BT+ finisher and his LD then had him fly up into the air again.

When I activated Cor’s FR, Golbez was at 90% HP while Ardyn was at 85% HP. This time, was able to stall for a bit so by the time I activated Sephiroth’s BT+ phase, only had 7 turns of force time left.

The HP damage bonus was currently at 193%. The force gauge of the enemies was at 54.5%. Golbez was at 84% HP while Ardyn was at 77% HP.

Seph still had 1 turn of his BT+ effect left. His Additional Ability and Prishe’s LD Call were both active. He also currently has a free skill use.

Before activating Cor’s FR, also had him use his Additional Ability and Kurasame’s LD Call.

By the time Sephi was about to cast Heaven’s Light, only have 1 turn of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 453%. Golbez was down to 69% HP while Ardyn was at 46% HP.

Summoned Odin a few turns later. Just kept on focusing on Ardyn while letting splash or AoE damage deal with Golbez for now. Was waiting for my force gauge to charge back to 100% again so I could use Cor’s FR again.

Before that happened, the force gauge of the enemies finally hit 100%. Ardyn removed all of his debuffs except for Sephiroth’s gold-framed Cellular Erosion one then dealt AoE BRV + HP damage.

Kain was still around but since he was currently up in the air, he was able to avoid this attack. Cor and Sephiroth only took a bit of HP damage.

The force time of the enemies will last for 8 turns. As long as it’s up, they can’t be killed.

By now I’d been able to delay the enemies so much that they weren’t set to move anytime soon and their icons weren’t even visible on the turn order bar anymore.

If the enemies don’t move, then the duration of their force time won’t decrease. But the good news is that it’s possible to cancel their force time. This can be done if a char uses a melee FR attack.

Thankfully, Cor’s FR deals melee damage so all I needed to do was wait for my force gauge to charge back to 100% again.

By the time that happened, Lunafreya had long since returned to the field and the enemies were now down to 46% and 17% HP.

Sephiroth was the one who finished off Ardyn. Well, Cor attacked him first since I always have him linked to Seph.

By then have 2 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 507%. Ardyn had been at 6% HP when this happened while Golbez was at 31% HP.

Managed to get the HP damage bonus to 552% before my force time ended. After that it was back to trying to get my force gauge charged to 100% again.

By the time that happened Golbez was at 10% HP and his force gauge was at 91.3%. It didn’t seem likely that my chars would be able to beat Golbez before he can go into his force time again.

But at least his icon was now visible on the turn order bar. He’d be able to move after a few turns. Was still gonna try to finish him off before he can go into his force time again though.

Unfortunately, I can’t use Cor’s FR anymore. Each char can only use their FR twice per fight and that’s only if said force ability has been fully maxed.

So now I activated Lunafreya’s FR. Her force ability deals magical damage so she can’t cancel Golbze’s force time.

The force time effects of Lunafreya’s FR are as follows:

HP damage bonus +20% when party member selects ice attack on party member’s own turn

HP damage bonus +20% when party member selects water attack on party member’s own turn

HP damage bonus +20% when party member grants ally buff on party member’s own turn

By the time I only had 8 turns of force time left, Golbez was at 6% HP. My HP damage bonus was at 206%.

Soon, Golbez was down to 3% HP. Have 6 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 292%. It was Sephiroth who finished off Golbez, ending the fight on turn 35.

Got the score and all the other mission requirements. Super pleased with this team. Everyone did really well even if I did have to use Cor’s FR twice and Lunafreya’s FR once just to beat Golbez and Ardyn.

Sephiroth really has been powercrept by now. Can’t wait for him to get another update and rework as well as his Force Enhancements and his own Force weapon. In the meanwhile, gonna have to keep pairing him with good supports and other DPS to help him.

Cor did a really good job supporting Seph and his own damage was really good too, especially now that I’ve fully built him.

FFXV AU: The Lion, the Coeurl and the Cub (2)

I have actually never dived into FF13, but deep researching on it made me write a monster? PART 1 HERE (possible crossover of FF lores ahead in this AU.You have been warned!)

- The first time Nyx came across those eyes that shined like sun burning into his soul was 16 years ago not long after he arrived in Insomnia. Not even all Galahdians know of the legend, but as a member of the Leading Clan, Nyx hears of the goddess’ name before amongst spiritual elders in their stories of a forgotten time.Although he certainly did not expect them from this tiny sobbing child, with blond hair and freckles. Definitely not a Lucian kid but still very lost. He assumed it was the sun after the long journey. - He ended up carrying the crying toddler and wandered around trying to find said parent (Totally ignoring that Libs had told him to stay put while he figure out where was the place they needed to go for the Kingsglaive recruitment) - He later found one stressed man in Crownsguard uniform looking for one Prompto and said toddler was so eager to return into his father’s arms.The picture of a happiness makes Nyx bittersweet as he bid them farewell.Little Prompto giving him a flying kiss over the shoulder adorably as he was carried away.

- Nyx also didn’t expect to see the same man during his Kingsglaive initiation a week later beside the king.And that man is the legendary Immortal, the King’s sword.What are the odds?

- The second time, Nyx cannot assume it was the glare of the bright lights of Little Galahd in the dead of the night, because in that dark alley hyperventilating, was little Prompto covered in bruises, who is a little older now. His hand holding onto his scratched and bleeding barcode, with the Eyes of Etro looking back into him. -It took lots of coaxing, tears and explaining after reuniting the father and son. A Lot. But having a goddess of legend’s Sign seem to be a lesser problem than Prompto’s bullying and him finding his origins in the deep parts of his father’s notes buried in the now locked file. But it made sense to Cor that Prompto probably can sense things spiritually.Just that without magic ever happening, the couple didn’t give it much thought either.

-Afterall, the Goddess was just a story, unlike the Oracle and Astrals who exist right?

- In time, if people find out Kingsglaive Ulric and Marshal Leonis are on close terms despite the rank difference, they are too scared to say anything anyway. (And that Libs had to stumble into them sitting together with little Prompto in his shabby but lived in apartment having a family meal of Galahd curry before finding out his friend is now a family man.Libs never forgave him for that.) - It was from then he realised, he had found a new family by some odd twist of fate. - Years later, Regis will forever insist this is some sweet meet cute thing despite Cor’s glares (”Look!Your son brought you a Husband!This is adorable!Clarus!Just like your sappy novels!” “Regis.My liege.For fuck’s sake-No! Cor put down your sword-!”) - Now those exact haunting eyes glared at the Crystal. Almost challenging what’s in there to dare and make a move. The darkness surrounds them but never harming them. - Etro tells them of the fate of Ardyn, the Lucis Caelums, of the Oracles and the madness of a draconian who got too greedy and wanted to be the God of All. Their death was simply a means to an end. They were all in the end, his pawns, like a child done with his toys. - Luna is shaking, in grief and in anger as she looks a Gentiana in disbelief.Yet all she received was a grim nod. Her purpose... a sham? What other lies have the Astrals hidden from them?From the people? - Noctis cannot believe the truth unfolding before him, lost and shaken by the revelation.Regis in silent fury.This family and his son all dying, and for what purpose?The starscourge?Who is to say that’s not even planned by Bahamut? - “You will flood my garden with the souls of innocents for your need to be the Almighty. I will not have you destroying my home and my children!” Etro snarls,”It was I who taught you to shape Men into being but it is not for your cruelness.” The draconian cackled deep from within.“And you dare say the child you have found will not have a similar fate?This is what it means to serve the divine!It should be their honor to be our l’cie!But enough Etro!You are powerless and weak, your body broken and in ashes by us Six! The weak serve the strong.That was your law.You have no follower or power left on Eos to fight.Go back to your Undying Lands and tend to your garden of souls.It is my only offering to you." - ”T-the gods killed the goddess?!” Libertus who grew up hearing the stories of Etro as well is too shocked to process anymore. “Atrocious! To think the people have looked towards the Astrals and yet to do such a disrespect to her...” -”So she welcomes you into her humble home and you slaughtered the poor Grace, and when your new playground started to become dirty with the Starscourge, you got irritated while cleaning up so you made a family feud to entertain yourself! Oh how sadistic.Do go on with your transgressions, any more secrets?O’ greatest of us all? Oh but wait, this is karma for you Astrals isn’t it?You killed her now humans are killing you, ahhh how the table turns!” Ardyn finally gets off the floor, he has heard enough while recovering.A blast of light aims towards Prompto and was too quick for any of them to react before Ardyn summons his armiger to deflect it and points them at The Crystal.”How rude!” The fallen king snarks,”but I expected that from you really, Bahamut.” -”You will protect a God despite your suffering under divine ones,O’ Fallen King?” “As the saying goes~The enemy of my enemy, is an ally.”Arydn shrugs. - ”Then you will all pay penance to your sins.” And the Light attempts to grab Noctis and Luna.Although Gladio manages to pull him back while the tendrils drags Luna into the Crystal, but the Oracle is very done with this.A swing and Luna buries her trident into the Crystal, it screeched, almost alive and tosses Luna onto the cold floor with the broken Trident.Although not before she sees the past, Ardyn, Aera, Somnus and the beginnings of their doomed fate. - Bahamut berates Luna but she digs in her heels and stand her ground,she defies the Astral and chooses to fight him. Bahamut is seething until Regis sends his sword into the heart of the Crystal. “Show yourself.We will not answer to your hunger for power anymore Draconian.” Regis and Noctis’ Armiger materialises as the rest of the party takes up arms, ready to fight the Astral.

- Bahamut summons tiny light shaped Bahamuts attacks and aims to massacre them all as he laughs coldly, Shiva appears and shields Luna while the others try to approach. Etro throws up a protect but the energy pushes Prompto onto his knees. Nyx and Cor tries to reach him but are surrounded. - With no end to the waves of attacks, in a last ditch effort, Ardyn picks up the broken Oracle’s trident and stabs it deep into the Crystal.A couple more to be sure. Revenge never tasted better. -” Very well, if you all choose to defy.Then I shall grant you and all what you seek. The eternal end.” And at that The crystal shakes and explodes The Ring that now adorns on Noctis’ finger cracks. In a burst of light, The Crystal that have fought and died for so long explodes into fragments of glittering shards. - Silence covers the space, in the darkness of Gralea, the cold seeps in now that the Crystal is gone. Everyone still trying to process the entire revelation and battle. Something still feels wrong. “Prompto!” Cor rushes over his fallen son with Nyx, cradling their child gently. Prompto is shivering violently and the Eyes of Etro refuses to fade. At the same time Ardyn flexes his hand and in shock he turns to Regis who stares back in grim realization. While Noctis, Ignis and Glado skids over to look at their now found friend turn messenger for a dead goddess. “Shiva.” Prompto is now struggling to talk as The Glacian releases Luna to Ravus and approaches hesitantly.A gulp and a gasp, Prompto finishes Etro’s message. “Tell your brethren and messengers to honour their vow to the Oracle and Lucis Caelum so you may find rest in the stars. Or perish from the magic within you.” Prompto finally closes his eyes and rests against Cor in exhaustion to their relief.However his body is getting colder by the minute. Regis and Clarus (who now has a prosthetic arm) and tries to contact the rest of their men outside.The situation now was worse than they thought as they receive reports. The havens have fallen, darkness covering the land rapidly, The Infernian has awoken without his link to Ardyn and his starscourge is gathering more into him as Bahamut now forced the daemon Ifrit to attack the lands, while heading towards Insomnia. And the other bigger problem? They all have no more magic.No armiger, no oracle’s light.Powerless humans to the whims of lunatic Astrals. -.-.- PART 3 HERE

I think I suffered from some burnout there and wasn’t writing as much. But I’m trying to push through it. My wonderful spouse bought me a whole new computer setup for my birthday and today I’m testing it out! So I think I’m going to do a warm up, maybe work on an Arcana fic ( ͝סּ ͜ʖ͡סּ), and then do some work on a zine piece before testing out this new setup with some Fallout 4.

Little Mermaid AU, because of no reason in particular! Inspired by the Disney version, but with a twist!

Sooo, Prompto is a merman who is fascinated about the world above the surface, but the King has forbidden contact with humans. Maybe he has like, a rare fin colour, or is just a somewhat special type of fish-man due family genetics or something. Anyway, one night curiosity gets the better of him and he investigates a ship sailing nearby.

A party is being held on board for Prince Noctis, which is what drew Prompto’s attention in the first place. And he is amazed by the festivities, but it’s Noctis himself that captures Prompto’s attention. He is utterly enthralled by by the handsome prince and, being a hopeless romantic, believes these feelings must be love at first sight.

When an unexpected storm rolls in and in the chaos, Noctis is flung overboard, nearly drowning, Prompto disobeys every law in existence and saves his life, very nearly revealing himself in the process. Noct is left bewildering by the encounter, unsure of what he saw, while Prom is left with a strong lingering desire to be with Noctis on land.

Me thinks Cindy and Aranea are maybe Prom’s friends, either fellow mer-people or actual fish, and they are very much the voice of reason, trying to warn Prom off his foolish and dangerous behaviours.

Prom, fed up with being told he’s being naive for loving a human, and a complete stranger at that, runs away and is found by the sea witch Ardyn. He offers Prompto a deal, he’ll turn him into a human in exchange for his voice, but in order to remain human he must receive a kiss of true love within 3 days, or he’ll turn back into a merman and will then belong to Ardyn.

Blinded by his emotions, Prompto foolishly takes the deal, entirely unaware that Ardyn has given him an impossible task. Ardyn wants to use Prompto, as either an ingredient for or something, or maybe he just wants to own him because reasons (haven’t decided yet). He’s been waiting for an opportunity like this to come up, and knows for certain that Prompto will fail to get a kiss of true love, because his “prince charming” already has a true love.

The party Prom had witnessed was in fact Noct’s bachelor party and he is to marry his beloved Lunafreya in 3 days. Ardyn is fully away of these circumstances, Prompto, with his lack of knowledge on human culture and society, is completely in the dark.

Cindy and Aranea find Prom and help him to the surface. Naturally they’re worried sick and scold him for his foolishness. But seeing no way to reverse the spell, and knowing it’s unlikely Ardyn will undo it and let them go, they agree to help him as best they can.

It’s surprisingly easy to find Noctis, who recognises Prompto as the stranger who rescued him from drowning a couple of days ago. Though he could have sworn Prompto had a fish tail... it must have been his imagination after all.

Seeing as Prom is clearly in need of help, what with being naked, mute, and unable to walk properly, he takes him home. Ignis and Gladio are suspicious of Prom, but they’re trusting Noct’s judgement for now, especially since Noct isn’t one to trust easily.

Noct has been kind of a nervous wreck lately. What with being anxious over the wedding, and oh god, what if he messes everything up!? And then there’s the fact that Luna was supposed to have arrived already, but her voyage was delayed due to bad weather, and what if something bad has happened to her?

Prompto’s arrival is a welcome distraction, even if he is really weird. Like, really weird... Still Noct doesn’t have many friends his age and has a lot of fun hanging out with him, despite not knowing his name or really being able to communicate properly with.

Meanwhile, Prompto finds himself being kinda disappointed that Noct isn’t the suave prince charming character he had imagined him to be. Oh, he’s still a great guy, it’s just... he’d been picturing something else... Instead of taking this as the sign it is, he shoves down his doubt and proceeds to try and court Noctis.

Of course, merpeople and humans have different courting rituals, and Prom comes across as just a little touchy feely, and just plain strange. All of his attempts to woo Noct fly straight over everyone’s heads. But Prom misreads many situations, such as when when Prom sees people dancing and mistakes it for a courting dance, and drags Noct into dancing with him.

By the end of the second day Prompto is thinking things are going well between them, but is all too aware of the looming deadline. Whereas Noctis is totally unaware that Prompto has any romantic feelings for him whatsoever, and is just having fun hanging out with a friend in between the wedding preparations.

Me thinks a “Kiss the Girl” scene occurs where Aranea and Cindy help set the scene for Prompto to make his move and get his kiss. Except, he gets a little too excited and accidentally capsizes the boat blowing his chance. Ardyn is content to do nothing but watch as he knows that it wouldn’t have matter if Prompto got his kiss, for it wouldn’t have been the kiss of true love that Prompto needed.

Late that night while Prompto is sound asleep, Luna finally arrives safe and sound. The next morning Ignis wakes Prompto and mentions the wedding, and that Noct wants to talk to him. Though Prom doesn’t know what a wedding is, he concludes that it must be part of human courting rituals and that Noct must have been impressed by him even with yesterdays blunder!

Having hyped himself up, he rushes to meet Noct, only to find him sharing a kiss with Luna. Noct then happily introduces Luna to Prompto, who thanks him for saving her fiance’s life, and asks Prompto to attend the wedding. The couple are whisked away for final wedding preparations before Prompto can shake himself out of his shocked state.

Prompto finally realises the gravity of his decisions and is forced to face the consequences. Seeing the way Noct looks at Luna and how he has never looked at Prom that way forces him to see that he’d been mistaken this whole time. He finally understands what Cindy and Aranea were saying about how foolish he was being, claiming to be in love with someone he knew nothing about or who knew anything about him.

Cindy suggests that if all they need is a true loves kiss it doesn’t have to be Noctis, right? Problem is they don’t have enough time, with only a few hours left before he changes back and Ardyn comes to claim him. Meanwhile Noct and the others are entirely unaware of Prom’s situation, but he’s worried about how strange Prom is acting. More so than usual that is.

Though the magic of true love is beyond Prompto’s grasp, perhaps the power of friendship will prevail against Ardyn’s evil plot!
