Also idk if you all saw the beginning of Ranboo's stream tonight but he said that last night's Ranmail was completely genuine on his part, they didn't discuss Tubbo's US trip until after he sent it & Ranboo also said that he didn't know Tubbo was going to announce his US trip today + thought he would keep it a secret for a little longer.

So Ranboo didn't really "trick" us with the Ranmail, like it wasn't a Joke it was him being genuinely kind of upset that he isn't going to get to complete some of his plans, and also Tubbo announcing the trip today wasn't meant to "go with" the Ranmail message, it was just coincidental timing.

I’m tired of COVID discourse but honestly think it needs to be addressed from some creators. The travelling, meetups, irl streams with fans, not following mandates in different areas, etc is sending some poor messages. These people should not have to advocate for their fans to get vaccinated or wear masks but given their professions are influencers they have power/know that they are setting examples for their audiences. I know given ranmail that apparently everyone is double testing daily and “being as safe as possible” but still personally I deem a lot of recent activity as unnecessary when they don’t have to do content in 10 different public places in a day. The US is a lot different from the UK when it comes to covid and mask use.

If it’s too inconvenient to wear a mask during an irl outdoor stream then idk maybe they shouldn’t do them. I’ve been feeling ify about this massive LA meetup since it was announced. It’s essentially a smaller version of what would’ve been vidcon

i like just woke up to find a whole wave of covid discourse happened while i was asleep jesus. and maybe its just me personally being burnt out on the whole "exisiting during a pandemic for over a year now" thing but i kinda am struggling to give a shit.

i feel like at this point everyone should know damn well what they're at risk of and at risk of spreading, and if they arent taking the proper proceedures to prevent it, they once again, know damn well what theyre risking.

it sounds like, as someone who hasnt really been watching any streams lately, that theyre doing the best they can to balance the kind of content they want to make and following covid guidelines. good for them. whatever.

i will say though, not a smaller version of vidcon. vidcon would have been in an enclosed space with thousands of fans also. its maybe a microscopic version of what vidcon could have been.

yeahhhh ranboo’s reaction to the streamer nominations kinda weirded me out tbh. i don’t know what he said on stream but like as soon as the nominations were announced he sent out a ranmail about how disappointed he was that he wasn’t nominated. idk he’s allowed to be disappointed or whatever but he’s only been streaming for like a year and imo isn’t even that good, so the fact that he was acting all sad about it rubbed me the wrong way.

The Ranboocord fanart channel is great there’s a lot of fantastic work in there and I’m glad to farm little emote reactions and give them out myself but it is so desperately frustrating to see people repost uncredited art. Was genuinely surprised at how dedicated Ranboo is to his mental health break. He announced it 10 days ago and hasn't streamed in 11; he seems to be sticking to it pretty solidly (besides the few twitter updates/photos & occasional ranmail announcements). Apparently he has been staying with Aimsey & Serena for the past couple days even before he let people know he was in the uk.

Considering all that is why I am so sure it has something to do with his family. Ranboo has been in plenty of mental health crisises before and could never take a break for more than a couple days from content creation. The fact that he is still on it after he came back to the uk and has a lot of opportunity for big content and hasn't seemed guilty at all despite some of his dumb stannies TRENDNG I miss Ranboo for some godforsaken reason says to me that 1. his therapist has been helping and 2. its a way bigger kill the mood type of issue than any time before. So. Family related. Especially considering the timing. I am glad he is able to get away from home a bit even though this is only a business trip.
