Liz had been locking up the Crashdown for the night when Noah had forced his way in and attacked her. She’d trapped in him in the walk-in freezer after locking herself in there briefly but he eventually got out, and attacked her, taking the knife from her that she had, had to protect herself and it was in the struggle that she had ended up getting stabbed. She’d thrown a spice in his face, blinding him and he’d run, leaving her injured and alone.

She was going to call Kyle to come tend to the wound, knowing if she called Max he’d want to come heal her instead of getting Noah and stopping him once and for all. She’d been about to call Kyle, holding pressing to the heavily bleeding wound with one hand, when she heard Max’s voice as he burst into the diner, clearly deciding he needed to make sure she was okay first.

She realized then how she must look, pale and shaky, her shirt and hands covered with blood. “It was Noah.” She told him, taking a step towards him, something she probably shouldn’t have done as she wavered, “I’m okay. You should go after him before he hurts anyone else.” She knew he wouldn’t though, not now.
