“And then…”

“And then what?” Arima seemed to be a little unimpressed by Taishi’s plan. “… I really never did this before… what kind of reaction do you expect?”

Oh so he could actually see the disappointment in his eyes? “You really never celebrated Christmas with anyone?” Didn’t this guy have a family or something? “Are you religious?”

“Not really no.” He was not informed enough and due to personal reasons he really didn’t believe that there was something like a higher presence in the sky that controlled everyone’s fate. “The only person… I could consider family spends Christmas with his own family every year.”

There as a hint of sadness in Arima’s eyes, so he tried to save the situation. “A-Ah we can just stay at home and eat cake!”

“Home…?” A small smile formed on Arima’s lips. So he did consider his little flat their home, it was amusing but even more than that it made him happy. It felt like he finally had a place he belonged. “Do you think your cake can beat these muffins?”

Taishi groaned and leaned back. “I shouldn’t have taken you here in first place. All I ever hear is how good they bake… how I am I supposed to beat that?”

“… well… if you put your heart into it and do it with love, then it’ll be special.” He gave his boyfriend a warm smile, but he only got a grimace in response.

“That’s so cheesy where did you hear that -”

“I read it in a romance novel.” Now the smile turned into a grin. “But I’m sure spending Christmas by your side will be amazing.”
