Comforting S/O with playing music

Music is a big comfort for me and even helps me fall sleep most of the time, so i thought why don't write about it? and then BOOM!! here we are!

Kaede Akamatsu

Kaede is always so caring towards everyone, she wants to help others in any chance she have (even when she thinks that she doesn't have more qualities aside from her piano skills), and with her partner this just increases

Kaede is always looking after your well-being and comfort, if she ever sees you sad or uncomfortable she inmediatly ask you about it, but she does it calmly and expressing that she does it because she is worried about you, she isn't piting you nor trying to be invasive. If you prefer to don't talk about it she will hesitantly let you alone, but not before reasuring you that you can always count with her

Also, it could be the case that you feel down for no reason, and still in that case she isn't going to judge you, instead she tries to cheer you up

If you decide to talk about it you have all her attention, she is open to heard you vent about whatever is bothering you and tries to comfort you, Kaede is always so optimistic and always tries to see the good on everything and that is how she tries to help you, but if you don't want to hear that then she will just let you vent

She isn't really shy but physical affection flustere her a lot, still she will try to let that aside to give you comfort by it if you like, from just holding your hand to totally cuddling you

She is probably the one who brings the idea of playing the piano for you, even when she doesn't really think much of herself she knows that she have really good skills for it and the piano always comfort her, so why not at least give a try? She leads you to her study while holding your hand and ask you to get yourself comfortable, either siting beside her or on another chair

Asking if you are comfortable with a soft smile before start playing (probably Clair de lune), she get so invested on playing the song that she forgot about the rest of the world for a moment, at some point she turn around to look at you and when she sees how relaxed you are she gets incredibly happy and motivated to continue playing, this is the biggest reassure she could ever ask for, being able to comfort you by it makes her feel so proud and confidence on herself

If you start crying she will stop and ask you if you are alright with a gentle voice, she can stop and hold you if you want but if you tell her to continue playing she gladly do it. Also, if you fall sleep she wouldn't mind it too much and will just giggle at it when she notice it, it makes her feel good too knowing that you get so relaxed to the point that you fall sleep

After that first time and knowing how much it helped you, Kaede made an special place on her study with a really comfy chair/sofa with some pillows and even a blanket. Kaede is totally willing to play the piano for you anytime you want/need, and you don't even have to ask since she pass a lot of time playing the piano, you can just go to her study and get comfortable she will imediatly know that you want to hear her (she wont admit it, but she put more efforts whenever you hear her)

Also you can ask her to play your favorite/comfort song if you want (if she doesn't know it, she will gladly learn it). Although, if you are shy or nervous to ask her to play for you she will tease you a little for it, but at the end will play the song

Also, Kaede ends up getting used to everytime you two go to sleep together or just cuddle she hums a song for you, and doesn't have to be just to comfort, she does it as a way to show her love for you

Kaori Miyazono

It could be easy to think that Kaori doesn't care, but she actually care al lot for you, she just normally doesn't let herself get carry for the sadness

She worries for you whenever she sees you sad or struguling with something but she isn't going to confront you about it directly, instead she prefer to distract you or try to cheer you up, depending on how affected you seem

However, Kaori is pretty perseptive and if she notice that you seem more and more troubled she will talk to you directly (it could be you who try to talk to her directly too), she is open to listen any time you need it and mainly she just let you vent about whatever is on your mind, Kaori isn't going to try to sugarcoat things or try to give you an advice, but when she talks to comfort you she does it from the bottom of her heart with a lot of sincerity

Besides, she isn't shy at all so if you like physical affection for comfort she has not problem with holding you and pat your head sweetly, but that doesn't mean she won't tease you for it, it would be only a little and just before hug you

The music is a super important part of Kaori's life so is for sure that you already had heard her play (either the violin or a melodic, maybe even the piano) you don't even have to ask because she do it all the time so casually

Although, she never did it with the intention to comfort you, in that case she had did it just to cheer you up, still she was surprised when she noticed that with her music comforted you but that doesn't mean she doesn't likes it, she really likes that something she loves so much help you too, she won't point it out though, she just keep that fact to herself (even if you point it out she will just brush it off)

Next time she sees you sad she will play some music for you but she do it giving you an excuse, like she has to practice or just because she feels like it. Don't misunderstand her, she isn't shy nor embarrassed for it, she is just being playfuly, and if you ask her if she do it to comfort you she will brush it off, without confirming it but not accepting it either

The way she plays music tend to be wild because she does it with all her heart, however any time she plays the violin with the intention to comfort you she does it slowly and sweetly like if she was singing a lullaby, and when she does it because she wants to cheer you up she does it with a faster and wild rhythm

If you fall sleep when she is playing she really doesn't mind, she find it pretty cute seeing you sleep so peacefuly, and she may or may not sneak one or two kisses here and there. Still, when you wake up she will scold you for falling sleep, is that you don't appreciate her music? she is just doing it playfuly and to tease you, but she is being serious when she says that you should treat her with a dessert to make it up for her

She will try to find out which one is your favorite/comfort song to learn how to play it, but if you are the one asking her to play it she will be doubtful and hesitant to accept, but just because you had ruined her surprise for you (not like she will let you know)

She doesn't say it out loud but she is always open to play some music for you, comfort or not it doesn't matter, you don't even have to ask since is Kaori normally who have the iniciative to do it, not even when you are sad/stressed because she will notice it and she imediatly play for you, doesn't matter if she has to make an excuse or even if she has to force you to listen her

Kousei Arima

Kousei isn't the most perseptive nor observant person, and since he is pretty introvert he doesn't really pay much attention to people outside his friends and you, but that doesn't mean he doesn't care for you because he does and a lot

He tries to pay more attention to you but if you tend to hide your feelings it would take him a while to notice it, although the more time you two spend together he will be better at noticing how you feel so at some point he will just know when you don't feel well, and when he does it he is mixed between wanting to ask you what is wrong and don't wanting to pry, is probably that you end up asking him what is in his mind for how troubled he seems

When he does ask you what is wrong he does it a little shy and since he isn't really the best with words he mainly let you vent or just make you company, whatever you prefer, and if you really want to he can hug you too (a little nervous though)

Since he has this problem that he doesn't heard the piano when he plays it he doesn't really bring the idea of playing the piano for you since he knows that he won't be able to do it and he doesn't want to dissapoint you, if you where the one who brings the idea he will try to come up with a excuse at first, but at some point he will open up and tell you about his problem

Is not until Kaori start to help him with it and that he start to express himself with the music that he will feel comfortable enough to play for you, and even so he doesn't really bring the idea of trying to comfort you with music (he may think on it, specially if you really like music, but he just never said it to you)

It could be that you directly ask him if he could play some music for you (what will flattered and flustered him a lot), for comfort or not, either way he will nervously accept, taking a seat in front in the piano and nervously wait for you to get comfortable too and ask you if there is an especific song you will like to hear, if it isn't its okay, he will just think on one (probably one that he loves or that comfort him)

Although, If you came to him when he was already practicing his reaction will be completely different, the moment you step in his study/the music room he looks up at you and greet you with a smile without stopping, if you don't enter he will tell you to come over and get comfortable with a soft voice

And when he noticed that you started to relax for the music he just smile at you, even when he doesn't say it out loud he is really happy to be able to help you with it (there is nothing he will love more), and he won't really mind at all if you fall sleep, he will just giggle at it when he notice it and covers you (with his jacket or a blanket) before continue playing

If you end up crying he panics a little the first time it happen, stopping to ask you if you are alright or if you need something, if you tell him that you are alright and ask him to continue playing he will be a little hesitant but he will do it, the next times it happen he keeps calm and just let you cry all you need while still playing, but will ask you if you need something after a while, he can stop and hold you if you need it

Kousei end up loving a lot being able to help you by playing the piano since that is the what he wanted to do for his mother, and with time it just become a common thing for him to play for you or dedicate the song he plays to you (even if he does it unconsciously)

If you ask him if he could play a song he doesn't know he will try to learn it but he will be a little nervous about it and will ask you to please wait until he finally master the song since he doesn't want for you to heard him playing it horribly (specially if is your comfort song)

So sorry, just got to this. Been in and out of the hospital on top of other things-

But I do not actually write for Kishou Arima as I struggle with his personality as well as the fact I don't really know what to write for you. However for the wait, I will give you headcannons.

He actually finds the fact you're an investigator funny

He's a pretty calm dude, but he will chuckle a little bit at the fact you're a ghoul as well as an investigator

Definitely a bit more strict with you in your relationship

You come home hurt?

Expect this man to stare you down before giving you a LECTURE.

(full blown lecture as if he was your DAD)

He likes to do your hair

Surprisingly he does, he just likes to be close to you

It reminds him that you're alive

It's a struggle to have someone who you care about alive anymore

He loves you. But, he struggles to show it.

Hes not very affectionate with kisses or hugs

Honestly he treats you the same as he does anyone else, just a bit kinder and with more love

Yet he struggles to show you head-on that he loves you

(he probably will sometimes take you out in the dead of night as a date but in reality he's taking you hunting)

He takes you out SO late because he knows how important your job is to you

Wouldn't go so well if you're an investigator on ghouls .. WHILE BEING A GHOUL.

so he tells you to be careful when you hunt during the day, but prefers you to hunt at night

This man will not let you go hungry though

Meat in the fridge all day long baby

Maybe, just maybe if you're lucky,

You guys will snuggle on the couch and fall asleep together after work

He loves you. A lot.

And he knows you love him too and he struggles to understand why sometimes

But what matters is that you're gonna be with him forever

Arima Saves Reader

age in bio when interacting. minors do not interact.

Word Count: 1,098 / Read it on AO3 / Wattpad

You were seated at a restaurant , talking to the man you were on a date with.

Arima was seated at a table across from the two of you. He placed his order with the waitress and pulled out his phone, acting as if he were busy texting someone or reading.

In reality, he was watching you both from the corner of his eyes and listening to everything that was being said.

He raised his head at the sound of dishes being dropped in the distance and in that motion he smelled the air, he could tell you were a human and your date… a ghoul.

He knew the intentions of the ghoul and they weren’t very good ones. You were going to be his next meal , and Arima, wasn’t going to let that happen.

You smiled and laughed at the jokes your date told , and told some of your own.

He waited for your date to leave for the bathroom, and as soon as your date was gone, he turned towards you , and asked , “You know your date is a ghoul?”

“What?”

“A ghoul, they eat humans.”

“How do you know?”

“I can tell. Don’t be afraid, I’ll keep you safe.”

He wouldn’t give much away as the less that you knew the better. He turned back to eating his food as your date returned.

“Hey, you ok?”

Your date asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine,”

You said with a smile and a nervous laugh.

Your date’s eyes would narrow, he could tell something was off, he looked to the left and saw the well-dressed man. Too fancy to be in a restaurant like this. Your date looked back at you , and at that point he knew.

He tilted his head slightly and raised an eyebrow, “You don’t trust me, do you?”

“Why wouldn’t I trust you?”

“Why is he here then?” Your date said , as he gestured over to Arima.

“I don’t know him or anything about him.” You said , as you looked confused.

“Hm , alright then.”

You breathed out slowly as you tried to not show any panic or fear.

Your date smirked , knowing exactly how you felt, he could sense it and he could smell it.

Unfortunately, ghouls have very good senses.

Arima had finished his food and paid long ago, but he continued to sit, waiting for the two of you to leave before he would do anything.

You and your date continued to talk and eat. You trying your best to pretend like things were normal and that you weren’t uncomfortable in any way.

You offered to pay for the meal but your date smiled and said that he would.

You didn’t try to argue or cause any further stress to an already scary situation, you let him pay and when the waiter came back with his card, your date stood up and offered his hand for you.

You took it and together your fingers intertwined with one another’s, unfortunately, as long as the two of you had been in there the sun began to set. The setting sun’s orange rays casting an eerie glow on the city.

“My, my, look at that , the sun is setting, let me walk you home~”

“No, I, I’m fine thank you.” You said with a nervous smile as your date continued to look at the sky.

Arima had followed the two of you out of the restaurant, staying close enough that he could hear what was going on, but far enough that he, hopefully, wouldn’t be questioned on his stalker-like behavior.

He planned on fully keeping his word, he said he would keep you safe. He plans on doing just that. He may not be able to stop everything, but you certainly wouldn’t be dying tonight.

Your date turned his head to look at you, his smile never once faltering. The glow from the setting sun didn’t help to make him any less terrifying.

You slowly slid your hand from his and with that action, he raised an eyebrow slightly.

“Why don’t you come back to my place then? After all, this place isn’t safe for you to be out here all alone~”

“Maybe some other time, thank you.” You said as you raised your arms in surrender, trying your best to avoid any sort of fight.

He grabbed your wrist and you looked afraid. His smile widened and as you tried to pull your arm from his grasp his hand tightened around your wrist.

You covered your mouth as you tried not to scream out.

“Not much of a screamer~?”

He turned his head slightly and tightened down on your arm, you couldn’t help but scream out from the pain.

“Let’s go home then shall we?”

Your date said as he turned and began to walk away. His hand still firmly grasping your wrist, he wasn’t going to let go. Not until you were in his home, he would have what he wanted, and that was his next meal. After all, that human food didn’t fill him up, this human food would.

Arima had stepped out of the shadows, “let them go.” His voice was firm, a hand behind his back, hiding something. With his other hand, he would push his glasses back up his face.

Unfortunately, the sun had set even further, the street lamps being the only source of light in the night.

“And if I don’t, what are you going to do?”

Arima pulled out the frying pan he held from behind his back. He looked up to face your date.

“So you’re going to help me cook?” Your date asked.

“No.”

He paused and threw the frying pan, hard into your date’s face.

The force from the frying pan throws him back and he lets go of your wrist.

You looked at Arima, “where did you get the frying pan?”

“From the kitchen, I know the restaurant owners and they know me.”

“And , who are you?”

“Kishou Arima, nice to meet you.”

You walked around your date who was covering his face and began to get up.

“I’m y/n, nice to meet you too. Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.”

Arima would go over to your date and pick up the frying pan. When your date finally picked himself up off the ground, Arima would hit him hard enough to knock him unconscious.

“He’s going to be out for a while, do you want me to walk you home?”

“Yes please.” You said as you smiled at Arima, still slightly nervous from the recent events, but feeling much better knowing that you were safe.

You're 6 years old right now. Well, physically. You do not have the patience to restrain myself from not talking all the time. Your babysitter is sleeping. You're infront of a tv. Remote beside you. Maybe, you should change it to a music show?

You're bored after all. No freedom so what else can you do? You change the channel to a music show. After you change it, The MC was announcing the winner for the music show.

"Let's congratulate, B-Komachi!" The MC exclaimed and the audiences roared at the mention of B-Komachi. The members went up the stage, taking the award.

"That girl... looks familiar." You muttered under your breath. A beautiful girl with a blue purplish hair color took the mic and start her speech while giving a heart gesture.

That's the girl you met before. She was interesting to say the least. Even from a first glance, you knew that she hailed from an abusive and solemn past. She was expressionless, she talked to you without any interest in the world and show the real her. To see her become an idol.. does that means she's lying to herself right now.

What drove her to be an idol? You met her only once and yet you feel like, she would be important later on. How captivating, you hope the future is kind to her.

"And that's all from me! Ai!" She waved and giving the mic to another member.

Idol. A career that isn't appreciate enough. Some people on the world looked down upon this career. Just singing and dancing, they said. It's more than that.

Idol need to have a perfect image. One wrong step, then scandal will come for them. Especially if you're a famous group. They have to lie. They have to please their fans. One mistake and it will be talk about for years even after disbanding. The entertainment industry is dangerous. Strict to the point they could take your life.

Idol is also human. They're not robot. They also have feelings. Idols are admirable, they need to have a strong mental to handle the hate. The world is unfair to them. There's so many cases on what happened to idols for the past years and some of it is cruel.

Every career have it's upside and downside. There's no need to compare.

You broke out of your thoughts when the front door opening. You didn't even realize your babysitter already went home. "[Name]." Your father called out to you. You stand up and walk towards him with a tiny smile on your face. Your father wasn't that bad now that you have observed him for 3 years.

He looks like he love your mother dearly. Before going to work, he would always give a kiss to the cheek on your mother. Your mother would blush a little. He carry you to his arm and bring you to his lap.

"I need you to make a decision, [Name]." He said with a stern tone. You tilt your head and nod. "Do you want the easy life or the hard life?" He added, starting into your eyes with a little smile.

You widen your eyes a little "I choose the hard life!" You give an eye closed smile to your father. You felt like being silly while saying that. You expect that if you choose the hard life, he would put you into the entertainment industry. This is the time for you to reveal how smart you are to your family. You aim to be the youngest people to be scouted into the world organization you were previously in. It is possible, in that organization there's no rules for age. You learn that when a child was born in that organization from a couple.

How's that child you see as a little sister figure doing? You hope she still love drawing and painting. Your plan starts now.

Your father sae the expression on your face and laugh "That's good, [Name]. In this world, there's no one living the easy life. Next week, you will follow me visit some director." Your father said with excitement. This is probably the second time you see him that excited — the first one being the time when you talk for 'first time'

He pat you on the head and left you alone on the couch. 'Did he do that just to left me on the couch?' You deadpan at your father but shrug it off. You lay on the couch and close your eyes, gathering the information you gotten for the 4 years you have been living in this new body.

One thing for sure, one of your friends had a baby at the same year you were born. You pray for the chances to meet the child. This time, there's no mistake. You want more connections than before.

"[Name], are you excited to see a child acting on the site?" Your father is driving the car to a filming site. He said the director is someone named Taishi Gotanda. You don't really remember the great things that Taishi guy have did since you weren't that keen on keeping up with the media world.

"Yeah! I'm excited! They're the same age as me, right?" You exclaimed. "No, you're the older one there." He said. Great, being the eldest means babysitting. Well, not if the children is discipline properly.

You arrive at the site and you scan around the site for a potential connection to be made with. Your father tap your back and you follow him behind his back. "Oh, Yoshino-san. Great to have you here." The Taishi guy shake your father's hand and he noticed you behind your father. You notice his eyes and smile while waving to him.

'This is boring.' You thought while walking a little bit away from your father. "Yoshino-chan, please follow me." A staff called out to you. You faced them and nod. "Your father said that you would only see how the process goes. You don't need to do any acting." The staff stated while leading you to a waiting room. You only hum at her to show that you're still listening to her.

'What a quiet kid...' The staff thought. The staff left you as soon as you arrive at the waiting room. You saw three kids and overhear their conversation. "Bet her acting was so bad they had to cut it all out! She seems to be good at buttering people up, though!" The child with red hair uttered.

The red hair proceed to be kinda rude in your opinion to other people. She left not before noticing you though. She look at you up and down and left. 'Is this how kids are?' You sweat at the child behavior. You look inside the room and saw two kids who you assume is twin because of the similarities. The annoyed expression on their face is visible, probably because of that girl? She's Arima Kana , if you remember correctly.

The girl who can flick a crying switch. Well, whatever. You bow at the twin and introduce yourself. They notice you and bow as well. "Oh, I'm Hoshino Ruby! And he's my brother. Hoshino Aquamarine but call him Aqua." The girl claim. What a weird name for japanese people.. The first thing you noticed about the pair is their eyes. It was captivating enough to lure you in. I'm sure they would become a big part of the entertainment industry. A powerful duo, they would say.

"Nice to meet you.." Aqua greet you with a neutral face. An opposite personality of his sister. A smile crawled up your face. "Soo.. why are you guys here?" You questions their presence at the filming site. "I will be acting while my sister here well.. she's just here, I guess." The boy deadpan. "How rude!" Ruby exclaimed.

You nod and cross your arm "It seems like Ruby is the same as me. I will only be watching." You hope that a friendship will bloom between you guys.

Amazing. You lightly smirk at the acting Aqua did. He only act like himself but he was incredibly creepy with it as that was what's the director aiming for. Maybe, the main part of it was because he seems mature for his age and his eyes. You just can't seem to let go of the beauty. "How did you think about it, [Name]?" Your father ask you with interest towards the young boy. "It's amazing, father. Can I start acting too?" You replied while staring at Arima Kana who was crying.

"It's never to late for you to be like your mother." Your father stated while lightly smiling at you "I can get you a role. Make sure to past my expectations." He added. Looks like the expectations for results is starting.

After that, your father have been keeping contacts with the twin since he have taken an interest on the young boy. You occasionally met the twin and learn more about them one by one. Sadly, your father couldn't keep hold of the them — Director Taishi Gotanda did.

You appear on multiple drama show as a child actor and made a name for yourself. There have been talks that you would conquer Arima Kana the child actor prodigy. You don't intend to do that but if that's what happen, it will happen. But they have to stop the comparison because every person have their own flaws.

You even got to do some photoshoot for a child's brand. Well, this will be memories in a few years. Atleast, you get to feel being a child again. A carefree child. Because of all the acting, you had to learn new skills everytime even things that you didn't learn in your past life. Naturally, you're good at it.

I guess you would still be a genius this time too.

When the death of Ai Hoshino happened, you attend the funeral with your parent. The people grieving over Ai's death make you recall the time your parent got into a bad accident and passed away because of that. You didn't cry because you had no connection to her but it still hurts to know that the stranger you have met before when they're a teenager to died when they almost turn into a full fledged adult.

You hope the people from Strawberry Production is taking their time to heal from the loss of a staff. You can only give prayers to them.

Later on, the death of Ai was just like a wind breeze that pass every day. No one talk about it after a week. Some may move on and some didn't. Ai Hoshino may you rest in peace.

A year of being in the entertainment industry — thanks to your father. You don't care if they call you a nepo baby. You're talented, that's all that matter. You were invited to a variety show and you were excited since you can freely show your talents there. No on can say a thing about it. No one will question it.

You met the cast and greet them. It was going well until they start talking about your acting career. "Yoshino-san, you really resemble your mother and your acting skill is incredible. Mind to share a tip?" The MC compliment your acting. "I can't because I am ME. I don't think much on what to do and just go with the flow." You said with a neutral tone. One thing about the entertainment industry, they won't question what the kids say since their still not mature for their age and just let out what's on their mind. Even if you have a sharp tongue, the people will love it. They don't mind it when a kid do it. At the very least, you have to have a character that will make people love you.

That would make people remember you for a long time.

"Yoshino-san, your father said before in an interview that you are a genius. Top at everything, is that true?" One of the cast commented. You smirk "Why don't you give me a question and let me answer it? I would prefer if it's a math question, though." With this, you will make moments for yourself. The cast laugh at your confidence and gave you a whiteboard. You will be competing with the 'smartest' cast, they said.

"69 x 4."

Ding!

A ring was made by you. The questions was too easy. As former scientist, you had to count percentage so this is a piece of cake for you. The cast beside you look at you bewildered. "276." You confidently said. "Correct!" The MC exclaimed. You know that they're looking down on you. You ought to prove them wrong.

After a series of questions, the people were speechless upon your smartness. The adults didn't expect this. Your mother look at you behind the swarm of staff and smile widely. You notice it and wave a little.

Soon, the filming ended. You were tired and hold out your arms to your mother. Your mom chuckle s and carry you up to her arms and kiss you on the cheeks. "You did good, my little angel." Aqua thought it was strange, or a coincidence to be exact, maybe even a gift sent from above, gracing him with a second chance with his favorite idol.

But to say he was disappointed was an understatement. Your personality did not, in fact, match that of his late mother, but your looks did, so that was all he cared about.

If he couldn't have her, he would just make do. That was what he told himself over and over again countless times whenever he saw your face.

Sure, your star-like eyes and purple hair matched hers greatly, and he did try really hard to separate the both of you from each other.

He knew how much you hated it when he asked AI Hoshino-related questions that would unleash your short temper on him, causing him to groan in annoyance every time you yelled curses at his face.

Although Aqua hated your short temper and how your eyes dulled with the mention of the late idol, how they looked exactly like hers before she died, and how he despised that you were the exact opposite of the cheery, always happy, and pretty idol – the idol who knew how to act around people, but you didn't – he couldn't fathom why you were so upset. He had no idea.

All he knew was that he hated it so much, to the point where he wanted you. He wanted you, the AI Hoshino that he imagined would be you.

And even if he had to go through all that trouble, he'd try. He'd try his hardest to make you the closest thing he had to the idol.

"Ai wouldn't act like that," he blurted, staring at you blankly. It had been mere minutes before he said that that you two had been arguing.

Without even thinking, you raised your hand, slapping him across the face, leaving a red mark on his cheek.

"Just… just how many times do I have to explain to you that I'm not her? Whatever she meant to you, I'm not her. I'm my own person. Can't you comprehend that?" She questioned, staring at him, her hands forming into fists, waiting for a response from her boyfriend. But he just sighed as if this wasn't worth his time.

"Aqua, you know I thought you were different, that you wouldn't compare me to a dead woman! But that's all you do, and I hate it. Sometimes I wish I never met you," she broke the silence, tears in her eyes, frowning at his silence.

"Look, Ai—" he didn't get to continue his sentence when he realized his screw up.

"Ai? Ai? Are you being serious with me, Aqua?" she screamed at him through tears before walking away, upset and hurt.

Perhaps Aqua wasn't the perfect person for her.

it felt as though time had flown. you're glad that your body is finally capable of self care.

what relieves you the most is that you finally reached the age where people wouldn't suspect you for walking and talking.

it didn't take long before you can finally stand up on your own two feet, you've always sworn to never leave your crib at all rather than do all the crawling.

everything changed, however, when the news regarding Ai reached you.

you didn't get to hear an ounce of it from Miyako. but due to Ai's popularity, the news spread like wildfire all across the internet.

you were devastated. Ai passing away was the least thing you'd expect to receive after not hearing from her for years.

it made you wonder, what about Aqua and Ruby?

you can't gather the wits to ask Miyako about it. perhaps letting her recover from it would be the wiser decision.

over the past years since the incident, you barely got any attention from your parents.

Saito deserted his responsibilities. he spiraled into depression and disappeared from the company grounds. perhaps it was because of what happened to Ai.

it was all so sudden that Miyako was forced to be bombarded with these responsibilities, which only occupied more of her time so you barely got a chance to see her.

you are often alone at home, well at least that's how you felt. Saito stayed with you, but he would often lock himself up in his room and only come out to eat or use the bathroom.

hell, he even wastes his time on drinking alcohol and only gives you money just so you could take care of yourself.

Miyako, however, thought that this was bad parenting and so she decided to leave you with a babysitter.

you were upset as to why her, your own mother, is out there taking care of other children instead of her own daughter.

but you were considerate enough to understand that she's still working for strawberry productions which concludes of being present at her workplace most of the time.

but despite all that, you still managed to graduate from primary school and live your life as it is.

you are currently a highschooler. and for this next school year, you are struck by the decision of whether to take general or entertainment program for your new school.

you've always wanted to be an iconic idol like Ai but after hearing Miyako's opinion regarding this matter, you've decided to just pursue being an average student.

she didn't sound too supportive of it, especially after what happened to Ai.

being an idol really does have its ups and downs.

“I'm going.” not sounding too optimistic, Miyako was concerned by your well-being.

“I'll give you a ride.” Miyako snatched her car keys from the kitchenette's counter, accompanying you outside the house to head for the car.

normally, the atmosphere between you two is awkward. perhaps it's due to the relationship you both have and from the times that you two barely spend time together.

but today seemed different. unlike before, Miyako seemed to be more talkative around you after the disagreement you had regarding being an idol.

“I'm sorry, [Name].” Miyako tried to clear the atmosphere. but the rest of the ride was in silence, almost deafening at that.

you didn't have any response to this. you had already given up from the start, or so you thought.

taking things slow, that's your current objective.

“I believe in you, good luck.” as soon as you arrived at the destination, you stepped out of the car.

brushing a hair strand to tuck it behind your ears, Miyako's lips lifted into a bittersweet smile. perhaps it was due to her stress. but despite that, you took her smile all whole-heartedly.

“Thank you, mom.” with the return of a heartwarming smile, Miyako gave you a gentle squeeze of a hug before you head inside.

the school didn't look all too fancy, it didn't look all too good-for-nothing either. just an average school to be precise.

the clanks of your shoes reverberated through the school halls as you made your way inside.

the campus looked almost empty, but you were still passing by a few students throughout the way. perhaps they were also here for the enrollment.

you fixated your gaze over the plates of each classroom you are passing by to look for the general program you'll enroll in. it didn't take long, you eventually stumbled upon the said room as you lined yourself up with the students who also seemed to be here for this strand.

there was nothing special about the area. the building was simply structured and barely furnished. the atmosphere was dull. but perhaps it's because it's a new opened school.

as you got done signing the papers and passing the qualifications and requirements for your enrollment, which took a toll of time, you returned outside the halls and started heading back into the direction from where you came from to head back home.

it was quick, the long line was what kept you in.

unlike earlier, the sun seemed to shine brighter now. the rays of it reflected through the hall windows and over your figure. it was almost blinding.

you were able to see the hallways more properly. now that it's lit up, it actually doesn't look that bad.

you made your way throughout the area, standing out in your proper school attire and your bag slinged in your back.

your mind was stirred with your current emotions of what you feel about your upcoming school year. your mood swinging from both anticipation and nervousness at the same time. even though it's just the same strand you chose in your past life.

almost drowning in your thoughts, you didn't notice the group of people you bumped on. specifically a girl that's facing the opposite direction.

they seemed to be arguing about something, or maybe that's what you thought.

“Oh?- are you alright?” the girl was startled and swiftly turned around to check you out. luckily, it was just a small bump so you managed to stay on your ground.

you were in daze by the familiarity of her voice. you blinked a couple of times to clear your sight, before taking in the figure of the girl, along with two other people with her.

the two that were right in front of you were lookalikes despite the opposite genders they are, they must be identical twins.

as for the other girl on their back, she was immediately silenced by the sight. she had scarlet orbs and hair locks unlike the two.

you felt the guy's gaze dart at you, as if examining your features. “..[Name]?” as well as the girl, the guy's voice also seemed all too familiar.

you were surprised by how he knew your name. and that's when it finally rang a bell, it was Aqua and Ruby.

“You guys..” was all you managed to mutter. you were still in shock by the sudden encounter. you didn't expect that you'd reunite with them here, out of all places.

considering the school attire they are also in, it was obvious that they are also enrolled for this school.

you can say that nothing much changed. they were still the twins that you knew.

Aqua is still as stoic as ever. his phlegmatic tone remains the same. Ruby, still a bundle of joy, much to your surprise.

Unlike Aqua, Ruby is still as talkative as ever when comparing the two, “Aw, is that all you have to say? it has been years!” to your surprise, the two seemed to still get along with you despite not seeing each other for years.

you indulged in a small conversation, mostly about updating yourselves about what happened over the years of being separated.

“So, what program did you take?” just as Aqua had decided to chime in, the atmosphere immediately shifted from someone clearing their throat. done on purpose.

that's when you remembered that the two were also with someone else.

“I'm still here, you know.” said the 'unknown' girl to ease the atmosphere, almost feeling bad for leaving her in the dark from the reunion of you three.

she had red locks with a length that extends to the central of her neck. as well as cerise doe eyes that somehow resembles Ruby's, which complements to the color scheme of her hair.

she had a navy blue beret on, unlike you, Ruby, and the rest of the females in the school. making her stand out.

“Well.. this is kind of a personal matter, [Name] is a friend that we haven't seen for years.”

you didn't expect for Aqua to respond, but you were glad that he is finally somehow being more open than letting Ruby do all the talking.

this earned a scoff from the girl, a name that is still unknown. “Maybe let me chime in at least.. maybe we can get along.”

although you appreciated the fact that this girl was willing to talk with you, you can't help but wonder if she only said that so she wouldn't feel left out.

setting your thoughts aside, you decided to conversate anyway.

“I'm [name].” there was no need for formalities, and so you decided to just simply introduce yourself by letting her know your name. you're awkward at starting conversations after all.

“I'm Kana!”

and without a word, the girl, who is named Kana now that you knew, slipped in between the twins to close the distance between the two of you.

she abruptly dragged you by the arm with a gentle grip, turning you two away from the twins as she whispered in your ear, “So.. are you and Aqua dating?”

this question caught you off guard, especially from someone you've barely met for an hour. not even for 15 minutes.

“huh? no, we're not.” you whispered back in a sheepish manner. you didn't even know why this girl, who is practically still a stranger, would ask this.

the situation was overly awkward. you felt the eyes of the twins watching both of you from behind.

“Really?” Kana exclaimed with a hint of enthusiasm in her tone, her voice now more audible that it was probably heard by the other two. shortly after the realization sinks in, she immediately clears her throat to brush the awkward atmosphere off.

“I- I mean, really?” she followed with her voice now less excited than before to cover her excitement up.

the two of you then turned back around after clearing Kana's question up, now facing the twins once more.

the twins glanced at each other's faces as if communicating by thoughts, confusion evident in their expressions. “What was that about?” asked Ruby, staring at the two of you intently.

“Nothing!~” said Kana, with the brightest smile on her face. “Don't tell them I asked you that, okay?” she whispered once more, in which you gave a nod of approval. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“For how long are you two going to keep on following me?” Aqua remarked in his usual tone.

― “Until you answer all my questions!” said Kana.

― “I'm not. I'm headed in the same direction.”

he simply hummed at the difference of your responses, spiced with a hint of displease from Kana's perseverance.

the two went on in their way with a small conversation, although it was mostly Kana just bombarding Aqua with questions.

you were headed for the same path as Aqua, it just happened that your destination was the same route as his.

throughout the entire conversation of the two, you were quiet. but you couldn't help but pique curiosity from their topic, especially from how persistent Kana is to suggest Aqua to continue acting.

so he used to be an actor? a child one at that. or so you thought.

“I'm headed that way, see you two.” you pointed in the opposite direction of two paths you three came across. this time, your route is now different from what they are taking. so you decided to inform them of your route before parting your ways.

“Wait! Why don't you come with us, [Name]? Aqua and I were just planning for a hangout so you might as well come,”

you abruptly stopped on your tracks from hearing Kana. you then turned around to face them again, an inviting expression on Kana's face in contrast to Aqua's impassive ones.

“No we're not.” Aqua remarked,

“Come on, Aqua! you haven't seen us both for a very long time!”

“My destination is not somewhere that will keep you two entertained.”

“As long as the three of us can hold a conversation..”

“Fine.”

it took a chunk of Kana's convincing before finally persuading Aqua into it. it made you wonder as to how she can even handle his unexpressive attitude.

she waved her hand at you to call you back. and so you decided to come along since you were free after all.

“Oh, Kana Arima. I haven't seen you in so long― and..? Aqua's girlfriend?”

almost choking from your own saliva, you cleared your throat awkwardly and as well as Aqua. do old people just often ask the most off-putting questions and embarrassing things?

“No, we're not. I'm a friend. That happened to end up here for a hangout.�� you emphasized the word 'hangout', as if not expecting for it to occur in some strange old man's room. you didn't even know the guy.

with a chuckle, the man twisted his chair to face you three. “I see, I see. I was kidding.”

“That wasn't very funny..” said Kana who was patting your back to ease you from the coughing, the situation almost dramatic.

the room was then eventually beaming with a light atmosphere as you all conversed with general topics regarding your lives. such as school, relationships, and.. acting, which you cannot relate to.

but despite that, you all got along despite you just meeting the other two this day.

a while after for what seemed like an hour, you four were invited to dinner by an elderly woman that barged into the room, in which you all complied.

the dining table was in silence as you all fixated your attention on the food. but the silence was also broken from time to time with short paced conversations.

“So you still live off your parents, Director.” Kana remarked in the most casual tone.

'that wasn't his wife?..' you thought to yourself. it was bizarre to think about now that Kana mentioned it.

the dinner went on with them talking about the careers they used to have with acting. it seems that Kana was still in it, unlike Aqua who apparently already quit a long time ago.

of course, they made sure to include you in as well, asking you about your route in life and as well as your interest in acting.

and so you just found out that the man used to be a director.

hell, Kana even suggested you to be an actress with her.

she really is a persistent person. she even offered to give you a training after excusing yourself that you're not fond of acting. she seemed really desperate to have a friend with her.

if only they knew how talentless you were in your past life.

but that was in the past.. right?

even so, that fact deteriorated your self-esteem despite living in a new body that is probably way better than your previous one.

it didn't take long before the sun went down. only then you realized that you spent too much time in the hangout.

Miyako must be worried by now..

as you three dismissed yourself from the director's house, Kana parted her way. her dorm was in the opposite direction unlike you who's headed for the same destination with Aqua, which is the bus station.

the walk was quiet, considering the two of you are not fond of idle chit-chatting. but of course, the tension was less awkward with a few chats.

shortly after reaching the bus station, the both of you sat on the bench.

the next bus was the last, so it's only good that you two made it in time.

the surroundings were dark. the moonlight barely lit the ground, the only light source being the flickering street lamp that was beside the bench.

“I didn't know you did acting.” you suddenly commented to put a halt to the silence.

“Not for long. It's not my course.” Aqua simply remarked. he was still a tad replier up until now.

you were slightly taken in by surprise. throughout the hangout with Kana complimenting his skills, you didn't expect him to actually dislike acting.

“So you didn't take entertainment program?”

“I took general program. I wasn't even fit to act in the first place.”

“Shame.. I would've liked to see you perform.”

“Enough about me. You took the general program too, right?”

your face shifted into one of intrigue at Aqua's response. it was nice to finally have a talk with him after hours of just awkward greetings. much to your surprise, now that you two were alone.

“I did. It would be a good coincidence if we end up in the same batch!” this earned a hum from Aqua, not showing any signs of displease of having you as a classmate.

“Hm, you're right. But it seems less likely to happen considering the amount of those that applied.”

just as you two were finally conversing once again, the moment was interrupted when the bus had finally arrived.

you two rose up from your seats to quickly head inside, not wasting any matter of second in order to not miss the bus.

the vehicle immediately drove off as you two got in despite not even getting a seat. this caused you to almost stumble, in which you managed to stay on ground by holding onto a pole and with Aqua's hands firmly grasped in your arms from behind.

“Thank you―” you sheepishly remarked, returning with a simple nod from Aqua.

you two got further inside the bus, only realizing that all the seats were full.

that must be why the driver immediately drove off, because there were no seats left available.

just then, the driver abruptly stomped the brake, causing the both of you to stumble once again.

good thing the both of you were strong enough to stay on your grounds.

as the bus stopped, one passenger left his seat as he left the bus for his stop. the bus drove off again shortly after.

you two eyed the seat.

“You sit.” said Aqua, gently shoving you closer to the available seat. of course you couldn't refuse due to how exhausted you are from the day.

as you sat, Aqua stood beside you as he held onto the bus hanger for support.

the ride was surprisingly long. and the silence was frequently broken with small talks.

you shared stories, emotions, and laughter― well, something Aqua didn't reciprocate to say the least.

he was still as stoic as ever. but that's what makes him recognizable from all the people you know. and somehow, with that distinctive demeanor of his, it reminds you of someone. 'what was his name again?..' you couldn't quite remember his name, but his face was still as clear as skies in your mind. all that you know is that it was someone in your past life.

it didn't take long before you reached your stop. you were first to get off the bus before Aqua.

“See you, Aqua.” you waved your goodbye and rose up from your seat, stealing one last glance on him.

“See you, [Name].” he returned. as you eyed your gaze on him, you noticed the faint smile that lifted up on his lips. one you've never seen from him before.

maybe you only stereotyped him of not having emotions at all, that he's unexpressive.

now you found out that he actually is, well, except for his friends.

but with all those thoughts aside, you can't help but notice how good he looked with a smile. almost charismatic.

“You should smile more often. You'd get a lot of girls.” you playfully remarked with the smuggest look you had.

his face immediately shifted back into his neutral one, as if masking his smile. in which you found kind of funny.

“Is anyone going or not?” the driver eventually spoke, impatiently tapping his foot on the bus floor as if a sign to skip the stop if no one's going down.

not wasting anymore time, you quickly got off the bus. and with a few studs of walk, you finally arrived back at home. mind at ease from having to reunite with your friend. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since a little ago I move to another house and in that new house we have 3 unoficial cats that sometimes came to get some love and food 🤭 (except on of them that almost live with us already), they are really cute and is funny to have them around but thay are a walking disaster

Now the request 🤭 Could you write for Aqua, Ruby, Akane, Kana (Oshi no Ko) Yuki and Tohru (fruits basket) finding out that their male S/O practically live alone because his parents work all day and come to the house really late (but don't have a bad relationship with them) and he is already used to have to take care of himself and the house all alone and the only company he has is some stray cats (2 or 3) that visit him almost all the time (the only reason he doesn't adopt them is because his parents doesn't want to have the cats)
