was playing ark w a friend in the non dedicated server i run when some rando joined us while we were staring at rexs on what we have dubbed hell murder island.  just lvl 4 w nothing in inventory and he wanted to help us tame a rex. Said rex fell into lava so we bailed and we took him back to our base bc he geneuiely seemed chill and he was like a kid at a petting zoo playing with all our tames lol

he was just like ‘wow u guys are so nice, normally when i join servers they torture me’ 

like damn basic human kindness a rarity in ark

Ark Survival for Switch is a perfect game with no issues whatsoever.

Jokes aside, does anyone know how to fix this? I can’t craft anything in my menu, messing around with folders didn’t help, and my saves on other maps are just fine. Can’t really play the game like this =(

we got Google Stadia

Landed on Ark:Survival

I liked it so much that we got a private server through g-portal.

We played n played n played n....ugh Stadia shut down.

before looking for a new platform, I searched around and landed on xbox. I specifically found multiple g-portal sources and Xbox sources and reddit sources talking about playing on g-portal ark servers with an xbox.

Bit the bullet, went and bought a whole-ass xbox yesterday.

Xbox only allows you to play on servers if you get a subscription uuuuaaaauuuugh. Fine, bought a subacription.

Go to log into the server

No server

Increasingly specific searches later, finally find sources saying.....no cross platform accessibility for ark.

I want to fucking scream and throw things what the hell I specifically looked up if we could use portal with xbox. why why the fuck. we're going to have to either both get PCs to play ark on g-portal, or both get another platform and figure out how to transfer our saved server to another server hosting platform.

I've already sank hundreds into the Xbox/subscription. We've already sank hundreds into the g-portal server. What the fuuuuuuuuuuuck auuuuugh I wish I'd never agreed to try any video games. I miss my dinos. I literally dream about my pet dinos. Fuck all these greedy ass developers who wanna suck ever possible dollar out of players. I miss the days when I didn't play any video games at all. But now I'm attached.

I LOOKED. I looked before I bought an xbox. And I found answers saying yes, you can play xbox on g-portal! That's the only reason I bought a fucking xbox!
