fintan pyren aesthetic because insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting the different results
Go on then, Icarus!
Take your turn!
You always fly right up until it burns!
Your wings you never could change,
Always the victim,
Into the flames again!
Go on then, Icarus!
Take your turn!
You'll never go through them.
“Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.”
“I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.”
“Be bad, but at least don't be a liar, a deceiver!”
With every battle we lose a little more,
Remember everything that we'd die for--
You are everything that I'd die for!
“If you drink much from a bottle marked 'poison' it is certain to disagree with you sooner or later.”
When I was a child, I heard voices
Some would sing and some would scream
You soon find you have few choices
I learned the voices died with me
Holy water cannot help you now!
See, I've come to burn your kingdom down!
And no rivers and no lakes can put the fire out.
I'm gonna raise the stakes,
I'm gonna smoke you out.
We've given the world, but we're the sacrifice
The keys to the kingdom locked from our freedom
“First sign of madness, talking to your own head.”
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.

SOTD : “Corpus Equus” & “A City On Fire”
Two fragrances that smell like the materials were set on fire beforehand. Both happen to be some of my all-time favourites — which shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone familiar with my pyromaniac tendencies love for the smell of things going up in flames.
The former carries assertive animalistic, woody & leather notes, that later reveal a subtle hint of roses. For fellow former horse riders, it evokes strong feelings of nostalgia and brings fond memories of old equine friends to the forefront of your mind. It’s really overwhelming and long-lasting though, so it’s not easily worn or appreciated by everyone and might not be the best option you could spray yourself with before heading to work. Wear at your own discretion. I wear it a lot no matter where I’m heading, so why shouldn’t you?
The latter, while slightly less overwhelming to the sensitive or untrained nose, is still very much an acquired taste and, courtesy of the burnt matches in the composition, has a far more straightforward “fiery” feel. And amidst the ashes lies more than just flames: the scent of labdanum, cardamom oil & wild berries burst out at once upon touching your skin. It’s best worn as a layering enhancer, but it’s perfectly fine to wear it on its own. My one complaint is that it does not linger as long as I wish it would and calls for a second round of spraying after a couple hours.

"where do you get your arsonist tendencies from?"
me, listening to my grandpa describe how he used to keep the orange peels afterwards, so he could throw them in the fire later cuz they flare up nice and high: ...you'd be surprised
