Got Very Cold and finished knitting a sock I've had on the needles since the start of January because I didn't do laundry and don't have any other clean socks. Normal problems with normal solutions here at the Art obstinatecondolement household.
I'm so normal about Crowley maggots I swear. But I wanted a black beanie (I always wear those) with yellow Crowley eyes on the front 🥺 and so I decided to. Well. Learn to crotchet so that I could make one.
ANYWAY so @singalongpoppet and @bat-plus-moth-equals-both took me under their yarny wings and taught me today AND LOOK GUYS THIS IS THE FIRST SHAPE I MADE. IT'S THE BASIC RECTANGLE BUT NATURALLY I FUCKED UP AND IT TAPERED COZ I MISSED A STITCH. THEN I REALISED IT LOOKS LIKE A MAGGOT. SO I ADDED EYES AND A MOUTH. but poorly so when you turn it over you see an eldritch mess of knot and thread that look vaguely like a face but totally normal from the front. Kind of like the good omens fandom pretending to be normal while burning on the inside.
LOOK MY FIRST CROTCHET THING AND IT'S YOU ALL!! I MADE A LITTLE MAGGOT! SCREW ADULTHOOD I'M DOING ARTS AND CRAFTS AND IT'S THANKS TO CROWLEY.
I'm making a dragon costume for my next medieval fair, and it was much more of a challenge than I thought it would be, but pleased with the end result, the rest of the costume still needs to be done, phew! Process below!
Its not perfect, but its the best that I can do-Magnus Burnsides
From January 8th to June 10th of 2022, I hand embordered my very own IPRE badge.
The Adventure Zone is something very important to me and holds a very special place in my heart, and I've always wanted my own badge, but have never been able to get one, ether official or fan made, so when I got a bunch of sewing/embroidery stuff for Christmas 2021, I decided to make one of my own. This was my first big embroidery project since i was about 14 (I made my brother a small Batman symbol pillow for Christmas) but watching videos plus already having skills in sewing made the project run pretty smoothly.
The project itself only took about three weeks, but due to burnout, my mental heath drooping due to tragedy, and running out of the thread for the background, I had to take a brake from January 13th to March 1st, then from March 11th to June 6.
I was very proud of how it turned out, I sewed it to iron on patch and put it on my messenger bag.
I made a plushie chibi Beese based on Scarlet Hollow charms design
He's about the size of a human baby, very nice to carry around. His legs and pelvis need to be redone, and some things must be changed. But like, I'm not a professional pattern maker, I did a good job if I can say so myself
Someday I'll fix the patterns, write down instructions, and release it into the world so you could too make the boy yourself
