A long time coming but happy I finished before the year is over. Funny how each time I chipped at it, the illustration slowly evolved. Mixed original Nemsis with the Remake and some concept art for the Remake. Gave him a lot more of a fiery re-appearance after the flamethrower rooftop match with Jill. Entering a 1.5 to 2 form like in the original game as his body is healing and mutating as his limiter is partially damaged.

Hm, nerve pain is still being a massive bother but have an AU idea that came to my mind.

Follows two different routes:

1) Regular Jynn and Asaru get captured, experimented on, and forcefully merged together and everything goes very wrong... especially for the Elders.

2) Same as the above but it’s Chosen Jy-Sol that gets recaptured to be “fixed”.

Either way, the Elders end up creating a very, very, very vengeful monster who has a near constant lingering pain they have to deal with.

Semi-story blurb under the cut.

.... They... They captured them both. Damn Dhay-Vol. Knocked out Skyranger out of the sky like it was a mere gnat while we were on the way to meet the Templars. Stellar Echo did the best emergency landing she could. We barely had a chance to react as soon as the ramp lowered. Hate psionics. I fucking hate them.

Dhay-Vol got Jynn, slapped a collar on her to keep Asaru bond to her. Ordered the others to execute us, but don’t remember what happened next. There was angry yelling, lots of it from Jynn and Asaru. And then something else. Otherworldly. Just know it spooked the hell out of Dhay-Vol and he bolted and then everything went back.

It took a few months to find her. Strange ADVENT didn’t go back to the well oiled machine they once were. Actually, there were a lot of problems. More faulty chips. Free minds. Heh, Betos soon found herself swamped with new brothers and sisters to add to her Faction.

Then we finally found the facility they were at. Connected to some offshore drilling platform. Never want to be that far underwater again...

When we found her... him... them... God.. couldn’t recognize them. Whatever those damn Elders did... just... just broke them. Two forced into one and were just angry. Yelling. Snarling. Crying in pain.

Nearly killed us after taking out a massive platoon heading by the Chosen. All three and they looked off. They had scars I’ve never seen before and looked drained. Anyway... they barely recognized us at the last minute as she was draining us psionically. God... that look in their eyes. The tears.

We got them out. Back to the Avenger. Sent word to Maker but knew that would take time so we headed to the Templars first. To say Geist was disgusted was an understatement. He and his acolytes did the best they could. Stabilizing their new form, somewhat separating their minds to give them solace, and fixing her psionic signature since it was “resonating” oddly, but there was so much damage to do anything else.

Eventually got her to Maker. Every single time I think that Elder can’t show more emotion, he somehow does; just pure disgust and was heartbroken. He burned through countless bodies seeing what he could do. Some more stabilization, fully separating their minds, and more genetic editing to fill the unfinished gaps. But there was no way to reverse the damage. Jynn’s body had been pushed too far to be converted into a Chosen and far too suddenly and Asaru was a mere phantom of himself after the Elders tore him apart for his genetic makeup. But Maker said he wasn’t giving up hope, but warned to be weary of that Weaver if he starts making deals.

Always something. Just lovely. Thinking that’s already happened with how some of the marks are looking, and hell how they look, but neither have said a thing.

So... Jynn’s become the more dominant mind after all that, but the two switch from time to time. She’s back at the helm. Taking some time for everyone to get used to it. Had to keep Jynn, well both, of them from killing one guy that we should have discharged ages ago.

Seems like this War will be wrapping up soon. The Elders are growing more desperate by the day.

Hopefully no more surprises come. Not sure if my heart can take it... getting too old for this shit. Happy they’re both alive, she’s alive... just this... *sigh*. Changes a lot. Changes everything really.

But seems like one thing wasn’t destroyed. Heh... Fun way for the rest of the crew to find out with how she just picked me up, kissed me, and teleported to the roof of the Avenger. Caused quite a frenzy amongst the crew that didn’t know for a few weeks.

Really, still have some of them questioning things, but they’re getting used to it. We’re all getting used to it.

I’m gonna take more presentable pictures of this big boy, but I realized I never posted this here.

I took an old and broken 3D printed dice tower and built some terrain around it. Had a lot of fun and fixed it so dice can roll through it again. Occasionally one may get stuck, but a little nudge gets it going again. I also have different tower that I’m off and on working on to do the same thing with it.

I do plan on selling this(I did check the credits on the tower and it’s fine to be sold commercially.) It’ll be over $100. I need to find an appropriate box to ship it in.

Materials used are 3d printed dice tower, cardboard, tissue paper, foam clay, acrylic paint, moss and/or lichen, green turf, rocks/ballast, green foliage clusters, sand, coffee grounds, dryer sheets, and uv resin.

Ability/Gear Cards WIP Update - July 2023

Another update to ability/gear cards. Comparing the "beginning" to now. Have learned to trust the process more. I've learned a lot on how to do vector work and very pleased I've achieved my goal of doing the majority of the work in Affinity Designer before I'll finish all final rendering details and fixes in Photoshop. Even before that I have to do a few more variations to see what I'll like the most but happy it'll just be some copy and paste work.

Elder Raal’Maker in his usual garb before he gets injured and degeneration really kicks in and he’s forced into his sarcophagus early and takes on human shells. Had a strong tendency to let his glowing eyes show which frightened a lot of his workers until they realized he’s actually nice.

Got a good kick in the pants to get this finished and pretty pleased. Learning more and more as I toy with painterly pieces. Need to do some texture and material studies for practice and fun.

Giving into a friend’s gentle nudging to draw or write something more wholesome and positive since I’ve been in a sour mood as of late. nervepainSUCKSugh. But thanks friend, I’ve been needing something positive.

So sometime/years after the war, Bradford just relaxing at their home with his 12ft hybrid jellyfish fish wife with the Merged!Jynn after a very long week. May not have the best of singing voices, but Jynn loves it and keeps her calm. Samewiththetwins.

Getting an idea out of my head. Spontaneous new character and maybe a side story.

Kuo is her name. No last name... yet. Traveling medic that removes chips from Hybrids, Humans, and Aliens where ever she goes. Also can remove ports and other implants with minimal scarring. And hates the heat A LOT as she can easily overheat. Blames her psionics. Will not catch her with one of those fur collars.

Was rescued from a facility by a joint Skirmisher clan mission and was thankful for the rescue once she was in a better headspace, but didn’t join them. Or any other clan she’s met on her walk about. Doesn’t feel like she’d fit in with them as she has faint memories, not false implanted ones, that she was once human. Doesn’t feel like she has a place amongst the mostly clone filled clans. But she does accept things they give to her as thanks for her medical assistance.

And those memories haunt her. Just can tell she worked for ADVENT for some point until she was hybridize for who’s knows what and knows she’s done some terrible things. Just doesn’t know if it was willing or not. Terrifies her the most, especially one memory she can only assume she was close to the person was so angry she went to work for ADVENT. Can tell things did not end on the best of terms. So she’s a very broken woman and her near monotone voice tends to show it.

She’s traveled alone for years until one Skirmisher decided to stick with her despite her wishes. He’s grown onto her over the years and she admits she enjoys his company. And then the survival skills he knows. He’s like a walking survival book as he’s always finding edible food for them and plants for medical use.

And then she accidentally ends up getting some Reaper “companions” at gunpoint after saving them and one of their critically injured people. Half, they just lost their medic and almost lost their beginner replacement she just saved and could really use someone that knows their stuff in this dangerous region. And then half, “you’re gonna need protection in these parts. Not all are as tolerant as us to you hybrids.” There’s a lot of tension in the group, some not agreeing with the leader’s choice, but things eventually get better... after some revelations and heartache.

Elders are relative nice shape to doodle and make flowing robes. No need to worry about anatomy. Their helmets on the other hand can die in a ditch. But fun working on custom garbs for some important Elder Ocs.
