Little Red Riding Hood. ❤ I really love painting.
Testing out new papers from Awagami Factory. The first one with the girl in water is hakuho paper and the second one with all the pink flowers is bamboo paper.
I’m not used to how watercolor behaves in Awagami’s papers because it tends to bleed all over the place and blending is a nightmare, but it has a children’s book effect that I find charming. I just need to figure out how to make it work.
Hakuho is 220gsm, 45% kozo (mulberry) and 55% cotton; whereas the bamboo paper is 250gsm, 70% bamboo and 30% recycled washi. Both are postcard size (6" x 4"), painted with watercolors.
Has anyone else tried these papers? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
a planet for sarah ✨
Huge waves of emotions lately which definitely came out on the paper today. Has felt like month but has just been a few weeks.
Quarantine life. 😴
I pulled out a sketch book yesterday for the first time in forever and let my emotions flow onto the paper. Actually really impressed I can still draw this well
Felt like sharing. kinda on the older side. Card stock… photos aren’t great but still kinda fun close ups.
