merlin fans saw arthur and gwen kiss and went on a “huh suddenly they’re in love?? they’re so unfounded!!” crusade and it’s kinda hilarious

because they can’t grasp the realism of two people kissing in the heat of the moment after slowly getting to re-know each other and then slowly falling for each other after that moment

but hey they have no issue insinuating that all white male characters had chemistry and wanted to bone each other in their first few interactions so...
