Ron- Redfur or something because he’s ed sheeran but also because it’s such a generic name and that could play into his inferiority complex by making him seem “average”

Hermione- this one is kind of hard… i like any name with “fern”

Ginny- sparkfire, it’s fun and she reminds me of sparkpelt

Neville- okay uhhh toadleap? Idk he has a toad

Luna- moonshine or moonshade or moonwing

Draco- ferretface 😁

Fred and George- something rhyming or related, maybe something like Flameheart and Fireclaw?

Dumbledore- also hard, Whitespirit or Lightstar, he’s a leader

Snape- dark… shade? Heart? He’s a dark for sure

Voldemort- Snakefrost/Snakeheart

Sirius- Dog. Leap? Maybe Blackscar or something edgy like that? Houndstep

My favorite and current dnd character is Arthur Lightstar, my high elf treachery paladin! He woke up a year ago with one year of memory and dealt with most of his insecurities by becoming a paladin of Cyric the god of lies. He recently found out that Cyric was actually a fallen god of truth, and so now he's trying learn to be honest with himself and help Cyric become a truth god again. He's a really heartwarming character to play who thinks the purpose of life is to love those close to you :)

Littlest things, Streetlight Manifesto - UGH one of my fave Sir Arthur Lightstar ✨ songs. it's an early arthur song like RIGHT after him waking up in the boat pre meeting artie! it's about him desperately searching for something to cling onto and make sense of the world he just woke up in and the gaping hole he feels inside and the vibes are just really chaotic but it also has this this strained upbeat vibe to it which makes it a PERFECT early arthur song. anyway heres some lyrics!

HONESTLY nearly all the lyrics in this song are perfect so u get huge chunks of them! but like babeygirl thats baby arthur creating the persona thats Arthur Lightstar and pledging himself to cyric

Preview for an upcoming project that I’ve been working on~ a new webcomic, Tempest of the Gods! It’s based on the dnd campaign I have been playing in for a year and a half now. It will be co-written by me and my DM, and all art is done by me.

93. What’s the most iconic line of dialogue they’ve ever said?

Arthur: “I don’t know what love is, but I’m pretty sure this is it.” Arthur to his half-elf sister Agnes!! He doesn’t remember her and all he wants is to love others and to be loved, but up until this moment he was worried he wouldn’t ever figure out what love is. 

Rémy: "You know how normally you die and you think wow this day can’t get any worse?“ Rémy after dying and then realizing she left her very distinctive cowboy hat at the scene of a murder. Her stupid dumb french accent really helped make it too. 

Orion: !!! I don’t actually have any Orion quotes!!!! D; The only Orion quote I have is “It’s a noodle,” from our session today fhejaklsd. Which, is pretty on brand for them. 

85. Do they believe in ghosts?

Arthur: Yes! Penelope told him she saw a ghost, and he knows nothing about the world! He’s only been alive for a year and a half.

Rémy: She doesn’t think they’re real, but she thinks they’re cool. If you ask her she would say yes, but she would go out of her mind if she ever saw a ghost. 

Orion: They got trapped on a ghost ship once, so yeah. They believe in ghosts. They’re very scared of them. Especially since the two ghosts they ran into were someone who they killed and someone who they helped kill. 

6. What would they give their life for?

Arthur: God, this is a hard question. He hasn’t really ever grappled with death, in his mind he’s decided that he can’t die so he’s just not going to. I think that the only people he would willingly and knowingly give his life for are Agnes and Cyric. Artie’s a really close call. Aidan, m a y b e, but probably not. He would, though get into a lot of situations where death was a high probability with the obstinate belief that he wasn’t going to let himself die. He needs to stay alive for Agnes. 

Rémy: Her BFF, Finn. In a heartbeat. 

Orion: The greater good. 

39. What does their happily ever after look like?

Arthur: He gets his memories back and he gets to live with Agnes. The whole party lives nearby too- they’re his family too! He’s still a paladin of Cyric and helps? Man! I guess he helps run Cyric’s religion!! I never really thought about the fact that as it currently stands he’s and Artie are the closest thing Cyric has to high priests??? Or some sort of church officials? But yeah he helps run Cyric’s temple, maintain Cyric’s religion, and do odd quests for him (and Cyric comes and visits him every day and they go and get dinner whenever Cyrics free ;;;;;;;; and they hold hands and are TENDER)

Rémy: WELL she has a vision of her Larue Finn and Mysterys end all adventuring together for the rest of their days and just having fun and sailing 😂 I don’t know if Finn and Larue would…. ever get along, but that’s her vision. 

Orion: God ? I don’t know. They’re just really sad right now. I think they just… want a friend. I think the happy ending that I would envision for them is they’d be able to find some solace and someone they fall in love with who understands them. I think their happy ending might also be breaking their warlock pact with mom (their unicorn patron), as much as they love her. Mom’s an emotional burden on them, and having someone who can just talk in your head whenever they want is a lot. And they’ve had a lot of issues with feeling trapped and like they’re just on a leash on a lot of their life… and that kind of relationship isn’t. Good for that. At the very least renegotiating the terms of it.

41. What does their laugh sound like? Do they snort when they laugh? How often do they laugh? 

Arthur: WHAT DOES his laugh sound like. I think he when he’s trying to please people he has a very cordial laugh. I just feel like he has a very genuine and warm laugh. 

Nou: NOU DOES SNORT WHEN HE LAUGHS. I think he giggles a lot. I think he’s putting up a show and a front a lot around most people and doesn’t laugh a lot when he’s doing it. I think when he’s been around Astrid’s family and Rife are the times that he feels most comfortable. 

92. Describe them as a John Mulaney gif.

33. What is their biggest fear? How would they react to having to face it?

Arthur: I would say he’s facing it in game right now! His biggest fear is going back to how he was living before he met Artie, the rest of the party, and really had Cyric in his life- alone. The first few months of his life were really traumatic for him- he knew nothing and was alone. And he’s terrified of going back to being alone! That’s why this conflict he’s having right now is weighing on him so much. He thinks he can face anything in the world as long and can find the strength to do it as long as he doesn’t have to do it alone. And he’s not reacting great! He’s hiding his problem from his party and he hasn’t prayed to Cyric since they left the Bay of Anholm.... so. Not well. He just trying to run away from it. 

Nou: Hm! A little bit of a spoiler for my players who follow me! :) So I’ll just say that like Arthur he struggles a lot with confronting his own problems. There’s things he needs to face that he deliberately hasn’t.

25. What is their biggest flaw?

Rémy: I feel like her biggest flaw didn’t really show up that much throughout the campaign, and was pretty subtle. I think it’s that she struggles with forgiveness. And yes- she was able to forgive Larue, but she was never really mad at Larue. From the get go she always just wanted to understand her, she was never really upset with her. She doesn’t care or think much about what’s “good” and Larues crimes never really were anything that she felt personally. But she was never able to forgive her god, and she was never able to forgive her family, and she had to walk away from cleric hood because of it. She was hurt by her god, and she was never able to let go or forgive that pain.

Arthur: I guess I really had to think about both of these- he’s got a lot of flaws. He’s deceptive, he’s naive, he’s vengeful, he can be a coward.... I could go on, probably. I think his biggest flaw though is his tendency to run away from his problems instead trying to fix them. He also was the only person keeping the party together for? 2-3 months in game, and he doesn’t consciously know that, but I think it’s subconsciously weighed on him. He’s so used to being the person trying to solve the conflicts and ease tensions that he doesn’t feel he can bring conflict into the party because who will be there to fix it? Also he’s scared of people leaving like Geneveive did! He couldn’t smooth over the tension with her and she left, and the party’s really the closest thing to family he has. He’s really scared of going back to how he was before he met them or Artie. Oops, got kind of off topic here.... but those circumstances have just elevated and worsened a flaw that he already had. He’s bad at confronting his own problems.

Arthur Lightstar / Eliànder Spring / Paladin of Cyric

We’re entering the endgame in our campaign and I’m just so amazed at how far Arthur has come 🥺 He started off as a look-after-number-one person who would routinely try to scam and lie to npcs and his own party for no other reason than to try and impress his god. Now he’s trying to save a dying religion for his god (who turned out to be a god of truth), is the glue holding the party together, and is striving to figure out what it means to be honest and a good person

Session 14 (part 2)! After praying to Cyric in a temple of Helm, Arthur managed to get his and Artie’s god’s attention to ask him questions about his religion. The party then managed to capture a Wisdom of the Deep cultist to interrogate him, only to learn that the some of the cultists were being mind controlled.
