lmao I almost forgot about that!! I love that bonding over uthus is what made us mutuals 😭❤ now I have one more reason why this ship is my favorite crack ship!

I haven't read any uthus crack fics in so long though and I didn't bookmark any from before 💔 it's been a long time since I thought about them but listen half of me does see the ship as pure crack and it's the best crack ship out there but the other half KNOWS the fandom would've ATE IT UP if we had flashbacks to the older camelot generation as young people.

JUST IMAGINE uther still a young warrior who just conquered camelot and gaius the young physician with this curious scientific mind just exploring magic and then he becomes court physician somehow? and cut to a few years later we have uther trusting him to send him to the isle of the blessed to ask for a son? And THEN when everything blows up and uther literally burns anyone who breathed near a sorcerer, he just spares gaius? the man he knows for sure was not only a sorcerer but someone who studied and taught magic? DO YOU SEE MY VISION? CAN YOU IMAGINE THE ANGST AND THE TOXIC VIBES??? gaius literally stopped doing magic and stayed in camelot functioning as a magic expert/physician???

thank you soooo much everyone who tagged me, i loved seeing your beautiful gifs!! ❤️ took me a while but i finally did it ashdjhajs. i gif many fandoms and i could add them here but guess what..... i only care about merlin now so 😌

i like color! i like changing colors, using color fills, my own gradients (which i use a lot when i blend gifs), i like to have fun with coloring and i like the challenge of dark weird, scenes. i always color from scratch cause i want to deal with each scene as its own entity. selective color and color balance are my best friends, also experimenting with different blending modes for color layers 🤩

who are your top ten merlin giffers? looking for new blogs to follow!

hi!! oh i’m always here for gushing about my favourite creators. and the merlin fandom has so many talented people!! it will be hard to fit into just a 10 people list ashdsadj. anyway, in no particular order:

cannot start this with anyone else but the one person who doesn’t really need recommending cause she’s a fandom legend. @arthurpendragonns, maria is not only very close to my heart, but also an incredibly talented creator and an amazing person all together. and believe me when i say no one does coloring and typography quite like her. every time maria posts i’m just left on the floor drooling.

kirsten @mazykeen truly has a different quality to her gifs. everything she makes is perfected in every possibile way. coloring? fonts? blending? you name it. kirsten is one of the most talented giffers here and a merlin fandom grandma on top of it.

@xrosheen always has the most beautiful soft coloring and is the number #1 source for all things morgana and katie mcgrath.

rumi @camelotsheart is the only person who can make meta into gifsets and honestly? it works perfectly thanks to her galaxy brain. and its always fun to watch her find all the parallels and subtext in merlin despite the fact that she has never in fact finished the show.

el @onceandfuturehimbo always delivering both on the ridiculously gorgeous gifsets front and on the himbo arthur content. el is amazing and if you’re not following her yet, what are you doing?

alex @merlinsprat is the og of colorful merlin sets and another fandom grandma. her gifs are absolutely beautiful and will surely leave you in awe!!

@laufeysons daphne’s gifsets are always such a delight!! i just adore her coloring and the talent to always deliver the most angsty quotes.

neve @aleksandr-morozova holds an astonishing amount of talent and never fails to deliver. her sets are always such a feast to the eyes, i’m really happy she started giffing merlin this year!! also neve and i have one braincell between us that more often than not it leads to us making the same gifsets asjhajsjd.

gonna go ahead and recommend maria’s sideblog too: @merlin-gifs. i already mentioned most of the members here, so that gives you the idea of the quality content we have on the blog!!

Sadly I have the bad habbit of almost never saving any of my colorings, besides that one for football gifs that I used on the first one. So the other two I made for the challenge ... but I go about coloring in a similar way on almost all the gifs I make, so...
