January's always a great time for re-introductions, so hey i'm krad, aka that illustrator/comic artist who draws the hot villains and occasional gun porn.

This tumblr's a collection of work-in-progress shots and updates on the current art projects, and a mirror of my site, www.kradeelav.com

What's the current projects? This year I'd like to focus on creating some classic R18 doujinshi (self published print works) for fire emblem & hellsing. other current projects include finishing up the 130k gunter/corrin slowburn fic your ruin, my ruin, and editing an original naziexploitation anthology with JD Riley.

What else have you drawn? the site gallery has all the biggest hits; though you probably know me through hellsing/fire emblem fanwork, the artist for comics like FALKE, or creating a webcomic called IRON CROWN.

Where else do you post? my site logs, bluesky, baraag/fediverse for art, and dreamwidth as a personal blog. all are rss-friendly.

How can I support you? I don't like paywalling artwork (only charge on printed material to recoup on printing/shipping/the time sink), and I don't need the support - but there's a tip jar forever open on itch.io if you feel moved for that kind of thing.

Current Commission Info

I'm changing and cutting down on some of my current line-up of commission options. Hopefully, this makes things easier to navigate. My DA widget will be revised accordingly too. Send me a note or widget request on what fun cartoon art I can illustrate for you today!

Collage Commissions

Collage commissions are a $10 USD flat rate. I will draw 3-4 sketches of the characters or couples of your choice on scrapbooking paper and arrange them in a fun collage. The cutouts can be specific characters interacting or specific scenes. They can be from different shows, franchises, or even OCs, too. The only real bar I have is that I'd prefer everything have a related theme like "romance" or "friendship" so the end result is coherent.

Examples:

Full Body Illustration in Pencil or Colored Pencils

I'll make a full-body illustration of up to 2 characters of your choice. These can be canon characters, OCs, OC and canon, whatever kind of pair you'd like. A mechanical pencil illustration is $20 and a colored pencil illustration is $30.

Sketch Page

A pencil sketch page is $32. I'll make a custom sketch page with 4-5 scenarios of your choice with up to 3 characters in each scenario. For example, the sketch page theme can be "meet the parents" and the page would be short vignettes of a character interacting with their friend's or S/O's parents.

q. program? clip studio paint.

q. drawing tablet? i dont use one, i draw with a mouse. (i do occassionally draw with a gaomon, though.)

q. pen codes? 1893068 (lineart/sketch) 1895396 (coloring) please note that the lineart pen looks different using a mouse verses using a tablet.

q. canvas size? varies, however i tend to draw on a 1600x1200 canvas and screenshot smaller drawings. (if not 1600x1200 then its usually around 200x200)

q. can i reference/take inspiration? yes, as long as it isnt traced or heavily referenced. (colorpicking is fine with me too, i don't mind.)

q. will you post timelapses? due to the uptake in ai learning off timelapses, no.

q. can i make fanart/fiction? absolutely 100%. i love seeing fanart of my characters, and would love it if you @'d me for it as well. (just as long as it isnt nsfw or kink stuff ofc.)

q. will you make a tutorial on (x) technique? as of right now, no. i'm not the best teacher and i'm not sure how i would explain my techniques in a way that would be genuinely helpful to learn.

q. why do you draw with a mouse? ive been drawing with one for 9 years man, i'm in too deep to stop.

q. why dont you draw fanart for (x) fandom anymore? im autistic and my hyperfixations for fandoms tend to change per month. (except for toonkind & jazzpunk funnily enough.)

q. can you draw fanart for (x) character? depends on the character.

q. how did you find your artstyle? years of drawing (semi)realism before i decided to stop and draw cartoony artwork.

q. can i repost your artwork on social media? no. my stance will not change if im credited either. only exception is if i make fanart of one of your characters and you post it on toyhouse with credit.

Ok, uhh, introduction time??

I'm new to tumblr (and in turn its etiquette) so, if do/say anything bad pls correct me TvT

I put a stick to paper and make pretty squiggles and lines :3

Also my artstyle is very versatile, as you can see

As for the non-important stuff, I'm in many, many fandoms (e.g. genshin, OM!, gomens, hsr, dunmeshi)

I usually do traditional art (mostly because my my old stylus has been through too many beatings and has decided to implode in on itself) and I mostly use alcohol markers or normal markers - the cheap ones. I do graphite/pencil drawings too but those are rare rare

Uhhh what else to say... Im also thinking of creating a new blog only for my personal art (ocs n stuff) so if any of yall goobers wanna see my silly little traumatized guys then I'll do it ^^

On this blog however I'll just post my thoughts and musings (insane writings on my walls)

They’re hoping to make it a full twelve hours, creating all the way up until 12am, all in support of Must Love Cats Rescue, A non profit, no kill rescue focusing on finding loving homes for cats and kittens in NOVA.

Hi I'm Chefy!

I love drawing my favorite characters, exploring character design through OCs, and learning everything I can about illustration.

I'm very improvement oriented. Ever since discovering my love for drawing back in 2020, I've been putting my fullest effort into it and constantly reaching for greater heights.

As such, it takes me a fair bit of time to take my drawings from an idea to full realization. But I hope that you will enjoy seeing a new drawing from me whenever I finish one.

Because I enjoy practicing a wide variety of character designs, it's unlikely that you'll see the same character twice. I tend to think of my drawings as a sort of tribute to a character or OC that I love. I put my fullest effort into drawing them so that I feel satisfied and can happily move on to the next character.

I'm also big into gaming and anime (go figure) which will reflect the type of stuff I draw. Some of my favorite games include: Legend of Zelda games, Guilty Gear Strive, Pokemon, Metal Gear series, Celeste, Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight. Some of my favorite anime include: Gintama, Higurashi, Assassination Classroom, Golden Kamuy. (And vtubers)

I am currently working as a graphic designer. So while I don't make money from drawing, I do work as a full-time creative! I hope to someday find a way to incorporate drawing into my livelihood. I am however not currently interested in taking commissions (sorry!)
