This is my most recent “Art School Project.” Since I’ve been studying, I’ve struggled to post my work. Partly because it feels less mine? Partly because I am trying some things that just don’t show up as well when photographed. But I worked very hard on these guys. If you saw them in person you’d be able to see the transparent layering, the different texture and finish in different parts of the paintings.
I love digital art, I love seeing the wide range of art styles and the things people are able to do in the practically infinite digital space. But I love what paint and pigment can do in person. I love the limitations it puts on the artist. I love creating a physical object, and being able to touch the art… unfortunately I don’t know what to do with those physical objects afterwards. Two foot square self portraits aren’t exactly marketable, and hanging them on your own walls has strange implications.
Some interactions between Artificer, Survivor and Monk!
The surprise adoption of these strange "pups" went pretty smoothly in Artificer's eyes, but for the almost completely mature siblings... It was a confusing time.
My Arti is very large, almost double the size of average scugs! Necessary for taking down prey. The vanilla siblings on the other hand are still adolescents, and won't grow past the height of her chest.
