no no listen to me listen listen pearl for so long made excuses for rose. she's a good leader because she kept secrets. I kept her secrets because that's good that's a good thing secrets are GOOD. she's obsessive over it. it's good it's good. she was having a denial crisis over rose having a LION. a lion. because the idea of rose not being exactly what she thought she was and her not knowing everything either, the idea of it at all, it scared her. her going to volleyball I should've believed you, not her. I shouldn't have gone "no, the rose I knew wouldn't have done that", because I didn't know everything about her. that is GROWTH.

and her saying "but you were hurt, badly." even when volleyball said what pink did to her was an accident. yes it was an accident but you were still hurt. you still get to be hurt. it's still awful what was done to you. how many times had pearl invalidated her own pain via it was an accident. rose didn't think it would hurt me. rose was doing what was best for us, of course she didn't realize it'd hurt me. it wasn't her fault. she wanted to help. it's fine. pearl learning rose did good and rose did bad aren't mutually exclusive and THATS how she moves on. that's how she moves on. accepting the reality of rose. the good and the bad and the in between. rose didn't mean to but she still did and I can be hurt. I am not betraying her by being hurt by what she did. I am whole without her, I am allowed to be happy without her. by reaching out to volleyball she helps both of them. them fusing is so so huge to me. they understand each other they go "I see you, you were in so much pain for so long, I'm so sorry, I've got you now. I know what it's like to love someone who hurt you." the solidarity fuck me gently with a chainsaw it's so good.

AND HER SAYING TO STEVEN. I KNOW HOW AWFUL IT FEELS TO KEEP A PART OF YOURSELF A SECRET. FUCK!!!

she says he never should've had to keep this a secret. that it's awful to feel like your past is some dirty thing to be hidden and washed away so people can only see the pretty parts they want. it's awful to be expected to move on when you're still festering over what's happened because your pain was never addressed. she gets it she understands him do you hear me do you HEAR ME. FUCKKKKK. THIS SHOW IS SO GOOD. why didn't I watch this sooner ohhhhh my god.

Consider the logic in CQL...

Song Lan arrives at Yi City (ok), a-Qing brings him to the yizhuang (good) and he sees Xue Yang enter before him and trick Xiao Xingchen to go to market with the stick game.

Song Lan looks appropriately mad, clenched fists, single tear down his eye, the whole set. That is his enemy and not only is he cozy with Xiao Xingchen and mocking his blindness, but Xiao Xingchen is actually laughing at his stupid jokes? Yeah, I'd be angry too.

BUT!!!

But now look at Song Lan's face when he sees Xue Yang exit the yizhuang!

Eyes of realization!!! Of deep, deep surprise and betrayed feelings! THIS seems to be, in cql, the exact moment when Song Lan truly realizes just WHO was talking, joking, living, fucking with Xiao Xingchen all this time!

And upon rewatching, yeah... Xue Yang has his face turned away when he enters (you might argue Song Lan doesn't recognize his body, hair, mannerisms, and half-turned profile from afar). The yizhuang gate is narrow (you might argue that the angle is off to see Xue Yang and Xiao Xingchen sitting inside). And if Xue Yang's voice can fool Xiao Xingchen, it ought to fool Song Lan for the duration of that conversation, too.

SO!

So the anger we saw in Song Lan before... When he saw a-Qing's so-called "bad man" going in the yizhuang... whom he has not recognized yet as Xue Yang.... The anger he feels, clenched fist and tear and all, is NOT directed at Xue Yang at all!!! But to a nameless, faceless guy who happens to be living with Xiao Xingchen, who keeps him company, whom Xingchen finds funny and trusts enough to accept with mirth his jokes about his blindness!!!

Did you hear that??? Song Lan is absurdly angry at that point at a domestic, cozy scene between his (old flame? soulmate he rejected in the throes of anger?) friend and some other dude who he probably considers unworthy and dislikes immediately.

Or, what I interpret from that editing alone...

....Song Zichen-daozhang is jealous!!! XD

Jealous of that one guy who took his place and wormed his way into Xiao Xingchen's life, and makes him happy (maybe even in ways SL himself never was capable of!! At least, I don't think he could make XXC laugh so often and so openly like XY can).

And yeah, yeah, we ALL know how thoroughly cql fucked up with some things like the timelines and characterization, so this is being nitpicky to the point of madness for a 12 second sequence, but... I just find it very funny. I came to The Untamed with no idea there was a book and so this is what I had for the story until my third viewing, when I started investigating and found so much more.

Sooo, just like me, there are people who might only come to know the story in that format, and to them I wish the same conclusion I had. Jealous Song Lan is jealous XD

I know I talk about it a lot and y’all are probably sick of me (be grateful my chubby fingers deleted that monster post I was gonna unleash) but Mile and Apos chemistry is something to beautifully rare and unique a one of a kind I guess you could say. I mean I’m not saying co stars don’t love each other or have chemistry because they do I’ve seen it in alot of actors but what I’m saying is that Mile and Apo have something different it’s cosmic it’s breathtaking it makes me believe in love and in humanity lol (I’m so cheesy ignore me)

I think why it’s so beautiful to me is that it’s so real it’s so palpable it’s visceral. The way they can portray so much love and chemistry and affection on screen is because they feel it off as well the way it’s so natural and genuine is because they have a level of trust and respect for each other that I’ve never seen before. I’ve seen lots of ppl talk about “fan service” or whatever and act like they do what they do is for us but tbh they’ve said it so many times again that they don’t do things for others like that they want to be true to themselves so what we are seeing what we are witnessing is what being true to themselves is and it’s breathtaking

Anyways a very long winded post about how Mile and Apo have single-handedly rewritten the definition of love and chemistry and how no one else will ever be able to measure up to it now

Chuuya has always been short, and so he has always come up with ways to counteract that. In this instance, that entails climbing up Dazai. At this point, Dazai's nose presses into Chuuya's chest as he bats at the taller man's hand.

"Give me that, you bastard."

Dazai says something but it's completely muffled in Chuuya's chest.

"Give it!"

Chuuya's curses turn into a screech when Dazai starts moving. Scrambling, Chuuya clings onto him tighter. He blames the wine for the lack of shame. "What the fuck are you doing, asshole?"

His pulse is thundering in his ears as he bows at the audience. When he turns back to Dazai, smiling wide, he can see a genuine grin on Dazai's lips. It's sharp, teeth glinting, eyes sparkling with the excitement of a child on Christmas morning. There is something so very real about the Dazai who looks at them now.

Beautiful, Chuuya thinks.

He shakes his head to rid the thought. He focuses on savoring the victory that is sure to come and tries to ignore the part of him that wonders how much better it could have been if Dazai wasn't repulsed by touch today. He tries to ignore the part of him that wants to grab Dazai's arms and face and tell them how great they did.

Literally all of touch fic. Um:

Unlike with Atsushi, where Dazai felt the need to run away, Dazai stays. Unlike with Kunikida, where Dazai felt a magnetic pull and a gentle desire, something burns in Dazai's chest when he looks at Chuuya's hand. Between them is a sparking static, tingling and sharp. The pull in Dazai's chest is unbearable.

Dazai opens his mouth, but nothing comes out. His brain has quieted in the way it only can when Chuuya is around. The whiskey in his veins is almost a lullaby; a soothing mechanism of self destruction.

Rolling his head on the wall, Dazai looks over, just to find Chuuya already looking at him. He's quiet, which Dazai thinks is weird coming from someone so full of life and ferocity. It's in these moments of stillness that Dazai feels the most that humanity is within reach.

Okay, so the prompt is--Azriel decides to have a Tree this year. First time ever at his own house. He gets stuff ready, then invites Elain to come with him and choose the tree and then he wants them to have a tree decorating evening. But she is so tired, she falls asleep on the sofa. And he ends up decorating it by himself along with Ollie.

And when Elain wakes up, she sees this not-so well decorated tree and Azriel is sleeping on the couch and Ollie is sleeping on his chest, and Azriel had dressed Ollie like a gnome.

And Elain thinks that maybe she is in love.
