here's the thing, right. like. okay, let's take everything up to the title showing up as the 'origin' style opening for dai, where you establish character. but like. literally what about that opening establishes character. you get brought to the chantry in haven where they briefly discuss executing you before declaring the inquisition. you can either begrudgingly support the people who have actively threatened you repeatedly or you can go uwu i'd love to help you guys out im so excited to be working with you. like. hello.

the fact that of the high cloud quintet jing yuan is literally the only one that walked out the shitstorm that was their downfall in-lore impressively drama-free and with his professional and personal reputation intact is very funny to me when juxtaposed with the current state of what one could maybe very charitably call... volatile discussions relating to his kit in the more "meta" circles (in quotations bc the credibility of ppl spewing this stuff as fact is. Well)
since his release this man hasnt escaped the doomposting and being powercrept allegations and solo calcs taken out of context by random people and content creators flaming it further getting from the usual mid allegations straight up to a reputation of being spoken of in a manner youd think hes literally unplayable so fast its like hes literally rent free in these peoples heads 💀 physically cant keep his name out of their mouths and i guarantee 99% of these ppl never even considered pulling him
like i dont even have jing yuan and ik hes perfectly fine lmao. he has some issues with LC options and certain scenarios can hurt his performance more than most characters (+ lack of content favoring true AoE in general) which can feel bad to play but ppl are being absolutely ridiculous about him its hilarious

my first casefic attempt! should be only a few chapters long, so it won't take long, but if I wanted to make it a oneshot, it would have. taken a while. ^^;;
An isolated villa overgrown with flowers even in the middle of winter, empty of all people.
Li Lianhua, Fang Duobing, and Di Feisheng find themselves in a strange situation once again, trapped in a seemingly abandoned house with a dead body. All the while, Li Lianhua's health continues to decline.

okay at 2am last night i had a sudden realization that after sigma touches fyodor and then falls back, there's no blood. when fyodor has used his ability in the past (in the ep with karma & ace, and then on the soldier at the end of s3) there was always blood, seemingly from the neck area. but neither the manga nor the anime seem to show any blood after sigma took fyodor's hand which means. i think they just passed out from information overload - ango said it's common when the amount of information transferred via ability is large. and fyodor might have estimated sigma would pass out, and then wake up after it was too late to save everyone, which would be far worse torture than simply dying

thinking about how my mom met her now-husband who was visiting from england because we decided to go to an exhibition at the local art center on a whim (we have never done this before or since) where his dad was one of the artists in the show displaying paintings of airplanes (does not particularly interest either of us)
