Portraits in Majora's Mask 3D
The 3DS remake of Majora's Mask gave the game a major graphical overhaul and added many details to the world of Termina. These include various portraits that give a bit more insight into the backstory of characters in the game, most notably the family running the Stock Pot Inn, the family of Clock Town's Mayor Dotour and the sisters living at Romani Ranch.
Stock Pot Inn Family
The family running the Stock Pot Inn in Clock Town consists of several members: Anju, her unnamed mother and her unnamed grandmother. The grandmother also mentions her son Tortus, who was Anju's father:
Oh, Tortus. Did you finish helping father? Then let mother read you a story.
Meanwhile, she also has a diary that belonged to her husband Gampy. In the original game, Tortus and Gampy remained unseen, but via the newly added portraits, it seems they have received designs. One shows a woman resembling Anju's grandmother in a wedding dress. Another shows the same couple with a baby, presumably Tortus.
Tumblr media
We also see a portrait of an elderly man, presumably Gampy in his twilight years before his (implied) passing by the time of the main game.
Tumblr media
We also get a shot of the whole family. It is clear that the woman in the wheelchair is Anju's grandmother, now a bit older than in previous pictures. It is harder to determine who the other people are, though below are my best guesses based on the assumption we are seeing all five members of the family here.
Tumblr media
Besides this, we also get a picture of a younger mayor Dotour and what is presumably a child-aged Tortus. When talking to Anju's grandmother when wearing Kafei's Mask (Kafei being the son of Dotour), it becomes clear she knew Dotour well in the past as well:
Oh, Dotour... If they pick on you, you come tell teacher, OK?
As a neat aside, Dotour can also be seen holding a Keaton Mask, which is popular among youths in Clock Town. His son Kafei also owns such a mask and wears it during the game.
Tumblr media
Finally, the portraits also reveal that Anju's grandmother owned a tiger in her later years. At first it was a small cub, but later on it is shown to have grown into a proper tiger. Her Hyrulean counterpart in Ocarina of Time also owns such a cub, though it appears the tiger in Termina has passed by the main game. Nonetheless, Anju's grandmother still has a tribute to the tiger on the back of her wheelchair.
Tumblr media
Romani Ranch
A few paintings can also be found at Romani Ranch, though a few relevant ones can also be found at the Stock Pot Inn. It is namely mentioned that ranch owner Cremia and Anju are friends:
In town...I have a friend. Her name's Anju..
It is also suggested by Cremia's sister Romani that Cremia has a crush on Kafei, who is Anju's fiancée and supposed to marry her soon:
Romani knows... My sister, Cremia, has someone in town she likes... But that person is supposed to get married the day of the carnival. It's hard for my sister... Going into town...
These things are reflected in the portraits. In the Stock Pot Inn, a portrait of Cremia and Romani can be found. Meanwhile, in Cremia and Romani's house, a portrait of what looks to be a younger Anju, Kafei and Cremia can be seen.
Tumblr media
A second picture from Cremia and Romani's house seems to show the two of them in front of the Milk Bar that their ranch supplies with Milk, albeit very faintly:
Tumblr media
Lastly, the portraits contextualize a rather odd sidequest of Majora's Mask. During the game, strange ghostly aliens attack the ranch and try to steal its cows. The ghosts attack once every year and arrive in a glowing ball of light:
They... They come at night every year when the carnival gets closer. They come riding in a bright, shining ball, and many of them come down...to the barn...
However, the portraits suggest the ghosts may stalk the ranch more often than that. This is because both in the Stock Pot Inn and Cremia and Romani's house, pictures of UFOs can be seen.

I just finished Malon's ref page!
For once, This character doesn't need much explanation; Malon is a Npc/Background character in Ocarina of Time. (Has "conterparts" in Termina; Cremia and Romani)
She is the daughter of Talon, a very lazy man --as in he sleeps all day long-- and the niece of Ingo, a very mean brother ,uncle and person in general. Malon also loves horses. She takes care of them (including Epona) and sings for them.
She met Link (Shade) as a kid and is the one that found him in the woods with Ingo when he got cursed. (in my fic) She embarked on Shade's journey to get back his lost memory and lift his curse.
They first meet Hunter and Midna around Lon-Lon ranch.
As I added on the sheet, The whole group uses Malon's hairbrush. She was the only one to think to bring that kind of stuff ;-;
*She most likely has Shade's stuff in her bag too*
Also, when I tried to make my friend who this was, she said Link from botw ;-; Like- She likes Zelda, That's the worst part! Well, Good reading I guess now,
Age: 11
Byee!

Ranking Zelda stories because I am bored
Happy Easter and Trans Visibility Day! I'm bored and wanted to rank the stories of the 3D Zelda games. Spoilers of course. Ranked from favorite (top) to weakest (bottom). I also won't be including WInd Waker because I never beat it (not the game's fault, I bought HD during the Switch's lifecycle and got tired of the Wii U gamepad). A lot of my problems are just personal gripes and not really criticisms.
Tears of the Kingdom: Controversial placement, I know (I have been literally harassed SEVERAL times over this take, I am disappointed in humanity). It has its issues, but like, what thing DOESN'T have flaws? Everything is flawed, it came free with your entertainment. The plot beats for Tears of the Kingdom are absolutely insane. The Imprisoning War and the events leading up to it all felt connected and relevant to each other and the events in the present. Not to mention watching stuff like the Molduga memory and the Imprisoning War itself was extremely hype. Seeing the interactions between Sonia, Rauru, Zelda and Mineru got me really attached to these characters. The events in the present also feel meaningful and urgent. Your friends from the previous game are ACTUALLY in trouble in this game and not just being stalked by a giant robot that's doing nothing. The Sages also felt more connected than the Champions ever did. The camera not being locked behind a backtracking quest this time was cool too. Overall, this game's story hit the hardest, especially with the Dragon Tears quest.
Skyward Sword: Great story with a great cast. Backtracking is a bit of a pain and could have been handled better, but I love the events of the game. Groose's character development is truly excellent. Link and Zelda having a connection also assisted in making the adventure hitting harder.
Twilight Princess: As a former Twilight Princess hater, I would like to apologize to this game. I had a biased hatred against the game because I thought it was just TP fans that were toxic when in reality its just the Zelda fanbase as a whole that has a massive toxicity problem (not all Zelda fans are toxic). The whole beginning segment with Ordon Village and the Twili Realm sets up Link's quest perfectly. The story as a whole is really great until Ganondorf. Ganondorf in this game is genuinely really weak as a character, same with Zelda. They at least have the manga to help them but still...
Majora's Mask: I love the concept for this game's story and for the most part its really well done. Its just short and a lot of the interesting stuff is in the side quests. This is totally fine because it helps get me invested in the world, but most side quests are just... meh. Anju/Kafei, the grandma stories and the Romani Ranch quest lines (including the Ranch Race with the Gorman Brothers) are really great though.
Breath of the Wild: Man... This game's backstory is SO, SO, SO GOOD. Like wow is it good. I just HATE how its told. Stuff that would be cool to see is NEVER shown. Like why not show us Zelda and Link vs Calamity Ganon? Not to mention the Camera backtracking quest... I will say, at least it made the Champion's Tunic plot relevant. TotK should've made the Leathers important. Also the Divine Beast quests just don't sit right with me (outside of the Gerudo one, that one was really great). The Divine Beast fights are incredible though, they make up for the atrocious dungeon bosses.
Ocarina of Time: Too boring and unoriginal for me. Yes, TotK takes a lot from BotW's style of story, but it at least builds upon it and has unique aspects like Crisis at Hyrule Castle and Mineru's entire questline. I do like how Ganondorf mocks Link, especially in the Forest Temple, as it makes him more relevant. Ganondorf waiting until Zelda gave Link the Light Arrows just was incompetent though.
Alright, that's my ranking of each 3D Zelda story I have an opinion on. I very much expect disagreement (especially with TotK) and that's fine, just please do not attack me over this stuff. Its just opinions. I've been harassed way too much over my takes on TotK, its tiring.

Surprise! A Knil - Hero of Sorrows character sheet! She is one of my favorite OCs so how could I not? 😊
Backstory: Knil grew up in Termina Field, just southeast of Romani Ranch and north of Woodfall Swamp. She and her father had a farm of their own, though they mostly focused on produce, such as apples and Termina Wheat. Knil was the one who would take and sell their product to Romani Ranch as well as Clock Town, where she became friends with Cremia, Kafei, and Anju.
When the moon first began to descend as the festival drew closer, Knil was one of many who wanted the festival to be canceled and the moon to be dealt with, especially when the poison from Woodfall began to infect their farmland. However, she still ventured to Clock Town, determined to support her friend's wedding, only telling her father to stay home. She had visited the two the night when Kafei was cursed but left before he was confronted by the Skull Kid.
When she arrived back home, Skull Kid was there, having turned her father into a tree (I know that is basically the same as the Deku Butler's son, but the man was fussing over his apple trees, so the Skull Kid decided to have fun with trees again). She charged the Skull Kid, like Link did in his version of the timeline, and attacked him, but Skull Kid turned her to stone, thinking a girl leaping at him with a pitchfork would make a cool statue.
With her sorrow, regret and ferocity impressing Termina's gods, they pulled together the rage, sorrow, hate, and regret of all the people of Termina and formed the Fierce Deity Spirit, infusing it in the petrified girl.
She was free from the stone but overcome by all the power and rage and went on a mindless rampage as a demon god of war until she passed out and was found by the Happy Mask Salesman.
You've met a Terrible Fate.... haven't you?
Three days remaining...

imagine if the credits for majora’s mask were tied to the actions you did in your last cycle
like instead of that everybody is happy celebrating the festival, if they were a specific set of cutscenes that each play depending on whether you did it before fighting majora or not
so like, if you didn’t defeat each temple boss you would see cutscenes from that region still in trouble like the deku with the monkey over the fire or the gorons all frozen, but if you did kill all the bosses in the last cycle you can see the regions happy like in the actual credits
and the same for important quests as well, grog could either be with his chicks or with grown cuccoos, pamela might be with her dad or she’d be on her own, you can only see anju and kafei’s wedding if you complete their quests then fight majora, if you don’t help romani defend the ranch she isn’t playing with her sister in the credits she’s just sat there
idk i just think it would be really neat if you finished the game and were suddenly hit by the realisation that that’s it, the cycles are over and your choices in that final go-through are how the characters will live the rest of their lives
and it would make you want to go back and play through again if you saw your favourite characters not having the happy ending they deserved
#majora’s mask#legend of zelda#loz#loz mm#this post sponsored by the final three days gang#do as many quests as you can and defeat the four bosses you monsters#there was a post i saw like last week about time cycles in video games and how you get complacent with violence and tragedy because it isn’#t permanent and it got me thinking bc it analysed time loops from a kill-heavy assassins style game whereas mm is much more of a help peopl#e game. and yet. you can’t do everything in one loop even after you’re able to skip through the temples to the boss room#and going through the game you know that. if you’re completing the great bay this cycle you don’t have time to go heal kotake or save the#monkey or unfreeze the goron’s on the mountain. and you can’t always remember/sacrifice those 3 hours to help romani#and you rationalise it as well they won’t matter when i play the song of time anyway. but wouldn’t it be a kick in the face if after you’ve#gotten into that mentality and you’ve collected all the masks but only once and you go defeat majora#and realise in the credits that romani was abducted by aliens. cremia has no money because her cows were stolen/milk was stolen by bandits.#the old lady won’t remember you saving her from the robbery on the first night and koume and kotake never met you. lulu won’t remember her#eggs being saved or the seahorses that you reunited them. you don’t have the top score on any of the carnival games.#link will remember because he lived through it but nobody in termina will remember his name aside from whoever you did help on your final#cycle. and idk i just think about that a lot

Link is Link (Tying Ikana to Hyrule)
[Game theory posted this video]
Which honestly sounds a little bit rushed, like they needed to come up with a theory to get on the Zelda Movie Hype train currently running. (I just like the game)
This particular theory started with the common point that "Link's hair in the WindWaker-Series is blonde, which is a stark contrast to nearly every other counterpart Link."
But exposure to sunlight and saltwater can have hair bleaching effects, especially if you lived in a tropical area your entire life. (I don't know how the Irish do it. No)
The video however, raised a couple interesting points--In particular, the upside down Triforce symbology on the doors shared by everybody in Outset Isle. Which is very similar to the upside down Triforce symbol in Ikana Castle (and other locations) in Majora's Mask.
The story behind Zelda64 is Link's mother escaping war with her son: Link. And in Majora's Mask, there are the constant ruins of war *everywhere*. In the Lore behind Majora's Mask, the Ikana and the Garo were at war with each other. The Ikana were a royal family, whose ghosts are restless, and wander the area (and may even be related to the Stalfos and Poe's). The Kingdom of Ikana was at war with the Garo Tribe. (The tribe the Gorman Bros impersonates while Raiding Romani Ranch)
The Garo are a tribe of Ninja and could potentially be related to the Shieka, but there is no given Link so far. (Unless Impa *is* that Link, having escaped the bloodshed as well, since Future Zelda calls herself the "last Shieka")
What this means is that Outset Island is located near Ikana Kingdom AND shares their symbology. (upside down Triforce) MattPatt may have gotten one thing right; That symbol on *that* shield *probably* doesn't belong to his family, since he hails from Ikana.
What he gets wrong is that, if this is the *future/adult timeline* then "The Legendary Hero of Time" was sent back through time. And that's why the King of Red Lions says so. He's not related to *that* Link, but that doesn't mean they're *not* related at all.
And divine providence probably means blood relation doesn't even matter anyway, it just so happens that they're Hylian descendents in general. Why do I say that? Well, Link's sister Aryll was kidnapped for looking like Zelda (who was tetra at the time). And who knows, maybe without Tetra, Aryll would've been chosen as Zelda.
What this also means is that Link, after losing his connection with literally everybody he's ever known (Except Skull Kid), traveled far enough south to rediscover his roots. The war that nearly consumed the world.

ok so MAJORAS MASK! I have the 3DS version, and I started it back when i was in highschool, but I didnt make it far (barely defeated the woodfall temple iirc). I just defeated the Great Bay temple and am starting Ikana Canyon, but here's... a rough summary of the journey so far under the cut!
deku link my beloved.......... he is just so small and cute. and haunting but yknow. I love the sound it makes when he walks
i am having a much easier time with shooting this time around- I remember hating the motion control aiming the first I played this, and it's definitely ROUGH on the 3DS, but it comes so much easier now that i've played hours and hours of splatoon lmaooo
i must have completely skipped the deku shrine the first time, or maybe blocked it out. hall of fucking misery. i had to redo this like 8 times
GORON TIME... i stopped somewhere after getting to this area the first time. The gorons are fun i love them.... rolling around also extremely fun.
also I love the giant terrifying masked smithy guy Gabora. I remember very distinctly laughing when i first got there and he flails at you grumbling indistinctly while the chipper shop music plays
this temple kicked my ass bc i thought i was just really really bad at navigation and remembering where things are (something very true about me, it's good i cant drive) but Really it was just because there was a trigger panel on the wall I didn't notice. teehee
i did the goron races several times.... i won it on the last day and then realized i'd need to do it on the first day to be able to upgrade the sword, so i reset time and did it again for the sword upgrade. but then.... baby goron and elder goron still said the same things so i thought I had to like... win again. i did not that did not change anything. I probably did this godforsaken race like 30 or 40 times.
I love elder goron by the way LMAO
also? kinda fucked up that they're expecting me to become their next leader and I can't explain anything. I'm literally just some kid, their beloved hero is dead, and as far as i know their beloved Darmani is just going to disappear again. Like- at least with the Deku, i know there is someone who mentions their son going missing and missing him, but at least it wasn't like... a community figure people looked up to who was missed.
I just happened to make it to the Romani Ranch too late to hear Romani's explanation of the Alien Ghost Things so i stuck around, and BOY HOWDY WAS IT AN EXPERIENCE when they just. started fucking descending.
anyway I helped them and it's horsey time
I also did some stuff around town- I have the Keaton Mask (but i haven't finished this questline) and Kabara's Mask. I love that that one just, completely erases and make's Kabara's face just... a fucked up polyp on your head. 10/10
great bay temple time.............................................
Gerudo my beloved :) (even if i had to restart the pirate temple bc of Time)
Mikau is a dweeb i love him. that said, just like with Darmani- FEELS WEIRD and bad that Nobody Knows It's Really Me and that he's dead and gone, and will just vanish. It's really tragic! Especially after getting Lulu's voice back! Fucked up!
fuck the beaver game FUCK the beaver game. I redid phase one like five times and then they said. you have to do it again but harder
Zora link's water movements are really janky- it feels like regular swimming, zora swimming, and charged swimming all work COMPLETELY different but it's not always clear when you're doing which- and the camera is very uncooperative as well, which was felt much moreso in the temple.
THAT ALL SAID I ADORED THIS TEMPLE. Def my fav so far- I know water temples are infamous for being hell on earth but I had fun with this one, and I liked the design of it a lot, and the minibosses were great- especially Wart! Looking around in confusion only to look up and make Eye Contact with a giant horrifying mass of little orbs. EXCELLENT
THAT ALL SAID PART 2. fuck Gyorg. I had to reset time in my first fight with him because the second phase took so long- and even then it still took like...an entire day of slowed-time. Having to wait until he gets close to mines only for him to more often than not only spit out piranhas was infuriating. I understand that a lot of the things I've complained about here are pretty 3DS specific port things, which SUCKS
anyway. ikana canyon time :) i forgot to say, but I got the Garo mask already doing the horse race to kill time for the Romani Ranch events. (Which i also had to try several times... minigames in this want me dead)
paging @neoanimus specifically bc i know you've been enjoying these updates on twitter

Okay I'm gonna explain a bit how Termina is in my hyrules curse au! Every reblog with explain each "kingdom" but it's basically all these guys: gerudo, goron, zora, deku, rito, and terminans :]
But first, some geography of Termina! Just to make a sort of visual of how the world looks and all that. First, there's two main arid regions in Termina, but the Ikana region is more of a mesa, mountainous region rather than a traditional desert, but it does have a very arid climate. The second being the actual gerudo desert that lies to the south of the Ikana region with a large mountain range sepreating it from the deku's swamp region.
Farther to the north lies the snowy, dry regions of Termina where the gorons and rito largely share. Death mountain has been dormant for hundreds of years and as such the region has became closer to a tundra, with hot springs residing underground closer to the volcanic activity. More northeast to the goron city is where the rito live, high within Termina's tundras where they reside with a close alliance to the gorons.
Most terminans reside closer to the central continent, most either within clock town, around the border of clock town, along the rural area where romani ranch lies, or within the immediate area of Termina Castle. Small clusters of terminans do live closer to each of the surrounding regions but most prefer the temperate, mild climate of central Termina with the great bay being the one with the second largest population.
Ikana is a nearly barren part of Termina, none but the most solitary choose to live there as it's largely seen as a graveyard to a fallen kingdom. Several ruins can be found within Ikana, even the half-destroyed remains of a fortress, as well as the scars of the war between the Guro and Ikana kingdoms. The war was an ancient one and most records have been lost to time, but most still avoid the region as its strongly believed to still be haunted by both sides of the opposing war. Others simply avoid the region to let the spirits come to rest as they should've done in death.
Central Termina is where clock town resides and the main castle with both acting as a meeting point for all of Termina's regions and cultures. One big difference from hyrule is that Termina does not have any sort of authority over any of the other kingdoms as unlike Hyrule, it did not force a unification between all kingdoms. Instead it's moreso a single country with several allied kingdoms within it and clock town and the castle act as one of the easiest spaces for all to interact with each other. Another big difference is that there's no royal family! As with a lack of societal and financial influence over all the kingdoms, a prestigious royal family just doesn't make much sense.
Instead, clock town and it's central castle follow a more democratic approach with a hard emphasis on diplomacy as it's very often welcoming all of Termina's people within its borders. A royal family just wouldn't fly here as clock town is more of a mixing pot of cultures with Terminans own mixed in as well. The other kingdoms do not fall under this same order of business though, as the other kingdoms have more traditional branches of power to royalty.
Gorons and Gerudo have chiefs acting as figureheads while the Rito, Zora, and Deku have something closer to a monarchy; kings, queen, princesses, princes, etc.
Central Termina does not have an overarching royalty, with one exception.
The Moon Children.

The Seven Year Sleep (Chapter 2)
Tumblr media
“Honest, mister! The password is mug punter.”
I almost tell this little scamp to wash his mouth out with bar soap, but then my days spent in the gambling dens come rushing back. If I’m remembering things correctly, a mug punter refers to a chuckle head who can’t make a good bet to save his life. Sounds about right.
Besides, the kid has been hanging out at that club for a good long while, perched on the roof in his forest green newsboy and swinging his legs over the side. If anyone knew the good word being used between the bouncers and their esteemed guests, it was him.
I unfold a wad of rupee notes and hand a red twenty to the kid, a true to life mug punter casting his ill-fated bet. The urchin bounces around like a giddy rooster and ends up losing that filthy green cap off his head. He snatches it up quick as can be, but the jig is already up.
Glaring down at the urchin, I ask for a name.
The kid turns around sheepishly, holding the newsboy tight in one hand and making a fist with the other. “It’s Mido, mister! The most dangerous bloke on the block!”
I ask for her real name.
The kid pouts and lowers her head, tangles of bright hair swaying in front of her eyes. “Saria... But don’t you go telling the other scamps! I got a reputation to uphold, ya hear?”
Yeah, I hear ya, kid. The streets are rough enough for the boys, but at least they can earn a living running errands for the bosses. Saria would probably get snatched up by some copper if they got wind of the truth, and in their eyes, the city streets didn’t have much use for a girl. They’d sell her off to the factories without so much as a good luck word.
I promise to keep Saria’s secret safe from everybody and tell her to stick around town. I may have a job worth a purple fifty next time.
She nods with that bright enthusiasm of youth, tucking her hair back under the cap and darting off to the alleys of her hard knock life.
Well, no use putting it off. Time to swallow that potion, no matter how bad it tastes. I head over to the club, its neon sign and crimson letters cutting through the smog. The Lonesome Ranch. Never thought I’d pay a visit to this joint again.
I walk up to the bouncer, an enormous creature with the mane of a lion and the jaws to match. And if that wasn’t enough to turn away the riff-raff, there’s also a couple of nasty horns twisting out of his forehead for good measure. Everyone knows you don’t mess with a Lynel.
His massive hand falls on my shoulder, and he grips the sinews tight enough to let me know that I’d best behave myself if I wanted to keep my arm in its socket.
“Weapons?”
I mutter a choice word under my breath. Of course a Lynel could sense the gun under my trench coat, plain as day. They got a way of sniffing these things out. I hand over the revolver, even though it twists my gut to do so. At least he doesn’t bother me about the knife I got tucked away, but that’s a small comfort in a place like this.
“Password?”
I give him that, as well, and he grunts with a touch of disappointment before waving me through. That’s right, fella. I’ll be keeping this arm, thank you very much.
As the velvet curtains part, a haze of broken dreams greets me and I get a strong whiff of Dodongo smoke drifting down the halls—pretty potent stuff they’re smoking tonight.
The place is crowded, that’s for sure. Gamblers and drinkers gather about the tables, shouting, swearing, laughing. There’s an empty stage at the far side of the room, surrounded by curtains and an air of mystery. The bartenders shake their cocktails and pour liquid comfort from glittering bottles, and now I’m starting to feel the dryness at the back of my throat as I watch them serve up shots of Romani.
I turn away, shaking my head. There’s business at hand. The thirst can wait.
I look around the club, taking note of several high profile members of the Blin gangs. A couple of the goblin men look away and pretend they never saw me. A few of those newsmen are also here, throwing back their martinis and smoking cigars after another slow day. Just another poor sod gunned down at the courthouse. Nobody would miss him, especially not the bosses.
And speak of the devils, it looks like some of the bosses are rubbing shoulders with the goons tonight, all for the sake of some fast cash. Granted, they were small time, but when I lock eyes with one of them, a skeleton of a man in a three piece suit, he refuses to look away. Just holds my gaze like a trueborn killer.
I ignore the bloke and push on. Walking past the gambling tables, it’s clear that most of the men have their eyes fixed on the surface, waving ticket stubs and rupee notes in their hands. I move in between a Blin and a Zora for a closer look. The outer rim looks normal enough, just a hunk of chiseled marble covered with cigar ash and glasses of bourbon. The center of the table, however, is something else entirely.
A pool of water glistens with light and motion. The gamblers lower their rupees and tickets, watching their precious bets sink out of sight, hoping for something greater in return. Wild shapes and colors flicker across the surface, and soon the image of running horses appears in the reflection, a race that looks to be taking place in far away fields.
Fairy fountains. So now they’re using sacred fairy fountains to bet on the tracks. A lot’s sure changed since the last time I was here.
The men are shouting now, shouting nonsense names as they toss their rupees into the drink. “That’s it, Parapa! C’mon! He ain’t got nothing on Stalhorse! Fifty rupees on Storm!”
As I watch the horses race and the rupees disappear, it steadily becomes clear that one steed rules the tracks, and she’s a thing of beauty. Epona, the prized mare. The horse that won Ingo enough dough to buy Ganon’s favor and take over his brother’s club. Hell, there’s even a golden statue of her sitting behind the bar. None of the others can hold a candle to Epona, no matter what the bookies might say.
And whaddaya know, there’s proof positive. As the mare sneaks up and crosses the finish line, the fountains bubble and fairy women rise from the depths, scantily clad in banknotes and twisting vines. They fling off their garb, showering a few lucky gamblers with winning rupees and blowing kisses of consolation to the losers. Those lucky few shout with joy, some curse like pirates, and the rest just weep into their glasses.
A well-dressed stick figure takes to the stage, twirling his mustache gleefully as he grabs up the microphone. “Gentlemen, gentlemen, there’s always another race and another chance to win the day. Although, it appears Epona has made fools of you once again.”
A raging boss shouts from the back. “Ah, blow it out yer ass, Ingo!”
The stick man known as Ingo laughs pleasantly and smooths back his hair, glistening with pomade. “Now, now, don’t let be said that Mister Ingo is stingy with his winnings. As your host and the purveyor of this fine establishment, I ask that you cast aside your cares and enjoy another drink of our fine vintage milk, on the house. And as you avail yourselves of our gracious hospitality, may you also find pleasure in the dulcet tones of the one, the only... Malon!”
With much fanfare, Ingo waves his hands as if casting a spell. The curtains rise and the instruments come to life. A brush shivers on the high hat. A man snaps his fingers to a smooth rhythm. A warm, golden light blossoms on the stage, revealing a solitary woman, red of hair and absolutely gorgeous.
She sways with the music and sings in a low, seductive voice.
You had plenty money, some was lent to you
You let other women make a fool of you
Why don't you do right, like some other men do?
Get out of here and get me some rupees too
You're sittin' there and wonderin' what it's all about
You ain't got no money, they will put you out
Why don't you do right, like some other men do?
The lights go up, illuminating the bandstand. I slowly turn about, my back to the fountain, unable to take my eyes off this woman and her stunning sequin dress.
As she sways and runs her gloved hands over her hips, she looks out at the audience, and wouldn’t you know it, her eyes are suddenly on me. A saxophone moans with pleasure.
If you had prepared seven years ago
You wouldn't be a-wanderin' now from door to door
Why don't you do right, like some other men do?
Get out of here and get me some rupees too
There’s a fever running through the crowd now. A waitress passes by, balancing a platter of scotch and whiskey as she navigates this raging sea of hormones. One of the goons reaches out for her, but she smacks him away without losing a drop.
But then Ingo charges through the hall, knocking the waitress and her silver platter to the floor. Liquor rains down on the woman as the greaseball looms over her, screaming his head off. “You have any idea who ya just smacked, Cremia? I’ll teach you to mind the bosses!”
So that was Ingo’s way of running this joint... yelling at the ladies, jeering at the men, and twirling that crooked mustache on a face that only a mother would tolerate.
I make a sudden move on impulse, but something holds me back from giving Ingo a taste of his own medicine. A little piece of wisdom, perhaps. Too many crooks and bosses huddled together in this room. I can’t help anyone as a corpse.
Malon holds my gaze, judging my decision, refusing to let her uncle’s outburst ruin her number. Her voice rises an octave.
Why don't you do right... like some other men... do?
She holds the last note, her voice trembling with the music. The sax warbles. The drums pound a crashing beat to match the heartbeat of every man in this club, and then it all stops.
The gamblers go wild with applause, and now the only way to cure their fever is to take the siren’s advice. They turn back to the fountains, eager to cast their bets.
Me? I just watch Malon as she steps away from the mic. Her eyes lower with the lights and the curtains come to a close, pulling her back into a prison of her uncle’s making.

“My, I heard Cynthia was getting some milk from another sweet girl, I couldn’t imagine she would be such a cutie as well,” the soft, almost motherly tone of the farm girl came ringing out as she slowly stepped towards the hex maniac. She was at least a head taller than her, looking a bit older as well as she pressed her hand to her cheeks, “I’m Cremia dearie, the owner of Romani Ranch and Chateau Romani.”

"Y-you really think that I'm cute...?" The Ghost-type trainer asked in surprise and almost disbelief. She didn't really know what to say since people back in Kalos avoided her for being the "local weirdo".
The younger woman blushed at the ranch owner's touch, not having expected such kindness from her. The redheaded Terminian was so beautiful that Anna had trouble forming coherent sentences. "I... My name is Anna... I-it's very nice to meet you too, Ms. Cremia."

Strength: 9 Intelligence: 7 Speed: 7 Endurance: 6 Courage: 9 Firepower: 4 Skill: 7 Rank: 6
Skills/Abilities: Jack of all trades to the n'th degree, there's little that Bev hasn't at least dabbled in. While he doesn't consider himself a master in any singular pursuit, he is an expert in many others. Hand to hand combat, expert in just about any weapon that's thrown at him, extremely adaptable to on the ground situations. Smarter than he gives himself credit for, he can do most math in his head if it's at least work or physics related.
Personality: He is serious about the work that he does in Unit E being important, wanting to do everything in his power to help people even if he doesn’t necessarily like them. Chipping away at the brick wall around his heart progressively reveals a softer side to him, however, showing a chivalrous side to him and an almost knightly way of carrying himself. With those he likes, Bev is kind, empathetic and willing to do whatever needs to be done to protect those he cares about. To those that either barely know him or have gotten on his bad side, Bev can be cold and distant, even avoidant if he knows things will escalate into a physical fight. A bad enough encounter will make him openly hostile, impulsive enough to start a fight given the chance. He can be aloof, even outright distrusting towards people he doesn’t know or barely knows, preferring to keep things close to his chest and hidden away from prying eyes.
History: TBD
[ ADDITIONAL INTELLIGENCE ]
Important Things to Remember:
Faceclaim/Voiceclaim: DJ Cotrona/Mako (LOK) / Brian Stokes Mitchell/Jon Curry(Dragon Age Inquisition)
Recently, Bev was enlightened to being...well, in short a cosmic entity. Specifically, the Hart of Yggdrasil, Dainn. Very few people know this, however, and he is very picky about sharing it in addition to going through great lengths to keep it from becoming common knowledge.

NPC - Gorman
Tumblr media
Name: Gorman
Status: Alive Temperament: Gruff
Blurb: Owner of Indigo Farms. He is a stubborn man with a gruff personality, but he means well.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °☽ ☼ ☾*₊ ° . ☆ • . .
Backstory:
When you think of the name The Gorman Brothers, you'd assume it would include the man Gorman himself. However, that is not the case. The Gorman Brothers were two egotistical brothers that were respected farmers with a double life as thieves. However, they were put out of business shortly after the events of Majora's Mask. Romani, the owner of the ranch next store to the Gorman Brothers, stepped up and told the townspeople of their less-than-favorable business tactics. Now that their crimes were out in the open, business began to dwindle and before they knew it their farm's worth was reduced to almost nothing. Gorman, the estranged brother of the two Indigo's, decided to help his brothers out by arranging a deal. The smug look on Gorman's face when he proposed the deal said that help was only a technicality. He bought the brother's land and returned to the farming lifestyle, thus quitting the Gorman Troupe which is a group of circus performers he ran. The brother's begged for their brothers forgiveness but he refused, and The Gorman Brothers moved to a town across Termina.
Now with over 20 years of farming under his belt, Gorman is old and gray. He is usually seen wearing his red overalls holding a bucket of straw. Despite his gruff personality, he has a soft side. Since he took over the farm he now does business with Romani Ranch, fixing the toxic relationship between the two properties. He also allows Clock Town, Romani Ranch, or any neighboring communities to use his land for events such as faires and farm markets.

does ashtad's father have a family with his previous wife? drama 👀
Pardon the late reply! Thanks again for being curious about my Majora's Mask oc's, even though I got so little to say.
Asthad's father DOES have an entire family life that she herself is unaware of. Well that is to say until one day when a scrawny little kid shows up to Romani Ranch and proclaims that he is her little brother. We've never gotten to this point in the RP at all, and as such all I know is that her brother does try to find her, mostly to spite his parents who he can't really stand himself. He's kind of a bright eyed bookworm that thought he could be a great adventurer but almost got himself killed several times over just trying to track down this “hidden sister” of his.
