Bits from Kamen Rider Geats Audio Commentary Episode 47
Satou Ryuga (Sakurai Keiwa) Takahashi Yuya (sciptwriter)
=-=-=-=-=
-- Takahashi considers Keiwa the other protagonist in the show, being the one who experiences Kamen Rider for the first time like the viewers.
-- What Satou was told was that Keiwa is a college student finding job, getting caught up in the events of DGP and becoming Kamen Rider. He's a lively person who will be the viewer's lens through the story.
-- And joked since then he has gone through a lot lol
-- One turning point of Keiwa as a character according to Takahashi was seeing his akuma in the Battle Royale movie. It was interesting seeing another side of Keiwa. Satou was was asked to make it "baddie looking no matter how you look at it" Keiwa lol
-- Keiwa turning to the dark side wasn't really more of Keiwa falling into darkness, but more like Keiwa being stubborn in fighting for what he wishes for.
-- Takahashi finds Keiwa's henshin pose very cool :) It looks like it wasn't just a series of movements, but rather something that carefully includes his feelings. And that among the Riders, Keiwa's henshin pose is probably his favorite :)
-- Geats is a story where people are suddenly thrown into the idea of being a Kamen Rider, with it being "congratulations, from today you are a Kamen Rider." Episode 47 is a fitting conclusion to Keiwa's journey of him finally being truly a Kamen Rider.
-- Satou was kind of at a loss portraying Keiwa as a regular, everyday person. But he thought every everyday person probably has something bad in them. When he learned of the goddess being Ace's mom, he portrayed Keiwa in a way that he's the person who doesn't see what's around him and just goes straight on for what he thinks is right.
-- Takahashi wrote Keiwa as a character where if you asked him "if the world is going to be destroyed and you have the power to save, will you?" Keiwa will without doubt answer yes. But if asked "If in the process you lose your sister, will you still?" Keiwa would be one to say "I don't want that!" His happiness is the life of his family more than "world peace".
-- The idea of Keiwa as a character is that being a hero is not only those who fight for justice and world peace, but that people who save the people closest to them are also heroes.
-- When Satou learned Shundo Mitsutoshi will be voicing Kekera, he thought he would eventually turn into a human, and that they'll meet somehow. But that at the end instead of working together, they'll probably clash.
-- Takahashi thought it was nice that Keiwa and Kekera's arc ended with the idea that Kekera, who wishes to find the best laugh, found it in his defeat in the hands of Keiwa who became a true Kamen Rider that he pushed him to be.
-- Totally unrelated to Geats but they talked about work and stuff lol. Satou attended vocational school for programming and IT prior to taking the actor path.
-- On this scene
Tumblr media
the director's instruction was that Kekera's bones are all broken that he couldn't stand up, but because Satou stood up, Shundo-san did too lol
-- On Keiwa thanking Kekera: Kekera was indeed the one who made him a Rider, even when Keiwa wasn't aware of Kekera's existence he was helping him one way or another. He would consult with Kekera earlier in the series as well. Keiwa isn't really the type to nurture hatred in his heart.
-- Michinaga turning into a cute buffalo stuffed toy was the idea of director Nakazawa lol (t/n: ah yes, director Nakazawa and cute things. He made this storyboard for Zenkaiger episode 35 lol)
-- After seeing how Satou portrayed Keiwa's akuma in Battle Royale, Takahashi had thought of maaaaybe making Keiwa and Ace battle in the end, with Keiwa being the last boss. But Keiwa isn't really a "real evil" kind, he's just someone who wishes to protect the little happiness closest to him. Geats defeating a character like that is not the rightful way to end the series.
-- And that is how he ended up making Keiwa's "conclusion" in episode 47, with Keiwa being a true Kamen Rider.
-- Takahashi said though, if he ever writes for a show with Satou in it, he wants to write him as a gruesome serial killer or something lol Satou: I'm looking forward to that!

extracted from episode 28 production notes.
For Kikainoids, "clothing" is more of a luxury. Which is to say, whether you wear them or not has nothing to do with ethics.
To put it into perspective, for example in our own world, we wouldn't say things like "They're not wearing any bracelets!! That's so embarrassing!!" This is just like that. Kikainoids can wear clothes if they like, but it's also fine if they don't.
Tumblr media
Gaon is definitely not a freak who regularly wears nothing but a vest!
He's a freak in another department- Oh look, someone's here.
This time, alongside with Gaon, Vroom-kun is in charge of holding down the fort.
(Perhaps taking pity, the editorial department put only Vroom and Gaon in the corners of the first verse in the opening. To those of you who missed this detail, be sure to check out the opening again!)
The suit actors Tsutamune-san and Okada-san were getting along like brothers. Adorable!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Following their lead, Kaji-san and Satotaku-san¹ also got along adorably!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Actually, this scene played out a little longer at first (there was more of Vroom's whining), but due to runtime, we had to cut it down in tears....... Because we rarely get chances with these two together, we really wanted to show more of it...... Curses.....!
On the other hand, we have the Mistuko search party!
The key of this across-worlds-voyage is of course, the Goldtweaker family.
Tumblr media
Because they're here, and because the relationships between the Goldtweakers and the Zenkaigers have progressed well up to this point, we are able to call upon the CrocoDaiOh. (If this request was brought up at earlier episodes, Kaito would probably get rejected and then shot at.)
Recently, Zox-kun has gotten used to the position of being an unshakable emotional support boyfriend² to Kaito, but this time, even he seems to have been caught off guard.
Tumblr media
Here is he standing beside the og emotional support boyfriend Zyuran-san, kicking Tojitendo ass!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was decided that Goshikida Mitsuko, a.k.a. Zenkai Magine would have a grand action scene!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We're really grateful for Kai-san, who plays Mitsuko, to come out here on set for a considerable amount of location shooting.
Kai-san was very enthusiastic about action scenes, combine that with the director Fukuzawa-san's explosive approach, really made the scene look like a fancy "fight for the princess" sequence out of an action movie!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We'll definitely find Mama Mitsuko!!
Also, this time, Zox didn't dance before his transformation.
Tumblr media
Here's a Zenkaiger trivia for you all:
Using Zox's dance sequences, you could actually measure the seriousness of different episodes (which is to say, the Zenkai level of different episodes).
There's also a short version of the dance, so this is not a method of measurement that cana be learned overnight, but the more you study, the more familiar you will become with Zenkaiger's rhythm, and the easier it gets!!! We highly recommend giving it a try!!!!!!
Tumblr media
(Yohohoy kick! Man those legs are long!!)
This is bad. If we don't try to suppress the Zenkai meter rising at every given opening...... At times like these, what we need is!
Let's go, Stacey! I choose you!!
Tumblr media
Uh, that's a somewhat scornful expression you got there.
Sorry.
¹ Satou Takuya, Vroom's voice actor.
² The original Japanese text is kouhou kareshimen(後方彼氏面). A literal translation would be "boyfriend who is standing at the back". This is a term used online to describe a fan at an idol's live perfomance who stands at the back quietly with arms crossed instead of cheering at the front rows. I'm not sure about the English equivilant of such a term, so I chose the term "emotional support boyfriend". You can read more about this term here. (Actually a pretty funny read.)

Stacey: I'm attracted to morons and morons only. Yesterday Kaito asked me if the sky was blue and I had to make out with him right there
Zox: You forgot grass was green
Stacey: And you made out with me!!!!!
Kaito: Zox forgot what kind of animal a dolphin was just last week
Flint: You're all idiots and attracted to each other
Yacchan and Seichan: *nodding* She's right
Cuttaner and Ricky: *eating sweet buns ignoring everyone*

Just watched Super Hero Senki with the subs, and it is, like pretty much all Tokusatsu movies, and especially one like this that is the anniversary movie for both Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, in a lot of ways, just an excuse to go, "Oh, hey, it's that character that I recognize from [past franchise]." Heck, there's an entire 4 minutes of the movie that are blatently an excuse for various Riders and Red Sentai to kick ass and say their catchphrases.
And for all its faults — which I include that very ambitious single shot that took place in a very blatant greenscreen, complete with wobbly hair borders — it does have a very thorough throughline of the power of stories, of how a narrative can continue on and on beyond the original author's lifetime. We see that in the Journey to the West and the Tale of the Eight Dogs that the characters get caught up in, and more relevant to the shows featured in the movie (and that were airing at the time), how the Kamen Rider and Super Sentai franchises have continued well beyond their creator's lifetime.
Movie!Shotaro even states how he's glad to see that his creations still resonate even past his own lifetime, and Hongo Takeshi himself states that those stories resonate in children to this very day.
And it's true — even though Rider and Sentai have become massively toyetic beyond Shotaro Ishimori's wildest dreams, they still resonate today. Heck, I partially credit Kiramager and Zenkaiger with helping me get through the pandemic, and Revice (which made their debut in this movie in their early-series chaotic mode) has been a delight and something to look forward to every Saturday evening local time.
And even going beyond these Toei stalwarts, stories have always resonated with humans. Thousands upon thousands of years later, we still tell the tales of Gilgamesh and Enkindu. We know about Ea-Nasir and his copper-selling scams and we repeat it over and over. There are tales hundreds, thousands of years old that we still pass down, far beyond the 50th and 45th anniversaries of Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, because they resonate with us, because they tell a tale of how it is to be human, even when the culture that generated them is long since gone. We love our heroes, and we want them to triumph over evil, for justice to prevail. And even if the names of Kamen Rider and Super Sentai are lost to the ages, the ideals that they carry will live on.

THE NICHASA SHITPOSTING REPORT
GLORIOUSLY LATE BECAUSE I NEED AN EDITOR OR SOMETHING.
IN THIS EPISODE: THE PRECURES AND ZENKAIGERS GET TO GO TRICK OR TREATING, AND KAMEN RIDER HAS TO STAY HOME AND PASS OUT THE CANDY.
Tropical Rouge: The girls are picking pineapples for Halloween, a holiday that Laura doesn't understand. It has far too many meanings. But but it's a holiday to be celebrated.
Manatsu getting excited almost caused the large pile of pineapples to fall apart.
But it's Halloween party time! Who cares!
And now it's time to set up the booths and festivals, and get their costumes in order. Except Laura. She doesn't seem to think any of the costumes she has fit her. Nothing fits her and everything fits her. She just can't decide, and decides she needs to go to a costume shop to find more costumes to find the perfect one.
Meanwhile, Nuremi is missing one of the basic Yaraneda balls. Oh well, I'm sure nothing will happen.
...I take that back, it summoned itself. Into a ball inflation machine. At least it can take Yaruki power without being told.
But the girls spring into action and transform and instantly go for a kick. Only to realize it's exactly like the very old Yaranedas. But they can't get the Yaruki power out of the monster because a smug fish decided to go to the costume store. But Manatsu has a plan: Act in La Mer's place. I mean, how hard can it be? And if something isn't done the Wizard's House will be destroyed. So, without thinking, Summer tries to do the ritual. It seems to go well, and Summer hits the Yaraneda with the full power of the sun and beats it just as Laura comes back.
But the Yaruki power does not come back to everyone else. With the Yaruki power stuck in the Aqua Pot the girls try to force it out with no avail. Manatsu then tries to sprinkle it on people like it was salt and it seems to work. Only for people's Yaruki power to not go back to their original hosts. And now everyone is body switching. Until it finally runs out.
And now Manatsu gets scolded by her fish girlfriend about her lack of foresight about everything. This breaks the Manatsu. Just in time for a Cho Zettai Yaraneda. The girls have to bring her back from the depths of her despair to remind her to do what's in front of her and deal with what is the most important thing, allowing the girls to transform again to fight the new Yaraneda.
But the girls get caught in Pineapple rings, and once again, Summer almost fights with lack of foresight. But Manatsu is finally thinking in portals and gets the Yaraneda's blades to break the rings and free the girls, and La Mer can get the Yaruki power back.
The girls send their Rider Kicking Pink Elephant to deal the final blow and defeat it, and everyone's Yaruki power goes back to their rightful owners.
Manatsu apologizes for her overacting, but it's fine as long as she starts thinking clearly.
And Laura wins the contest after she decides to just merge all of the costumes together. Because, sure. I mean, she did call it a Frankinmermaid costume.
Revice: The Igarashi family return home without Daiji to have a family meeting about what the hell has happened to Daiji. Resident Demon and future VTuber Vice calls in and tells them that he has a demon inside. Simple, we kill the demon.
Meanwhile, Mama is still trying to run a business and welcoming guests. Part need for money, and part need to make sure everything is normal for whenever Daiji decides to come back. This leads Papa to have an idea: Use his Twitch powers to get his son back.
Meanwhile, Olteca gives Hot Topic two more stamps because "For the will of Gifu". Which Kagerou takes, simply to shut the two of them up.
And he finds the perfect group: Scammers. Time to scam the scammers and force them to become magical girls contracts.
Meanwhile, back at Fenix, Ikki is asking George some hard questions like, "Did you do this to my brother" and "I'm serious, stop laughing." Honestly, George was just trying to help. In the most George way possible, which honestly may have exacerbated the issue. It's really only made worse when the commander Wakabayashi tells him to "eliminate" him before the public finds out they fucked up with this. Hiromi insists that only he can give the finishing blow because there's no way family man over here is gonna have the willpower to do it.
At least Ikki gets a new stamp.
When Ikki and Hiromi run across Brachio Deadman, made from the scammer group, and transform. But Ikki is too distracted looking for his brother, and is told to go on ahead. Hiromi will handle this.
Hiromi is the real hero. Ikki doesn't like that and says that Daiji is his responsibility and there will be no team up. But as more junior monsters come, Ikki uses his new shiny stamp and finish off the juniors and Branchio deadman.
Back at that bath house, they learn that Fenix has deemed Daiji an enemy of the state and must be eliminated due to demonic possession. Turns out Sakura heard every word, and has a few words for George for not even trying to do anything, and some other words for Ikki for allowing this all to happen to begin with by being nosy, and will not forgive anyone who hurts her little brother.
Vice thinks she's scary, and may have a demon herself.
Back at the Scammers hideout, they're getting tortured. And while that is happening, Daiji has a few questions, like, who are you, masked Demon? Turns out, Kagerou is all of the hatred Daiji has for his brother, who Daiji insists he does not hate, and is simply carrying out his secret desires. Kagerou still has not given Daiji his body back, and instead stomps on the puddle that they are communicating though. I'm sure that will cut off communication for good.
At that Karate Dojo, Sakura blows off some steam with a sparr. Her partner thanks her for a good fight and asks her how she got in to Karate to start with. Like other siblings, she got into it with her brother and was the only one to continue it. She is starting to have second thoughts about strength and stuff though.
Elsewhere, Vice is asking if Daiji even wants to be saved. I mean, that demon had to come from somewhere. Ikki refuses to believe it and is still thinking of ways to save Daiji. But the parents are sure he'll come back. They even told an embarrassing story of when Daiji ran off as a kid to cheer up Ikki.
The next day, The Brachio Deadman is back and making a mess of everything. And even though he doesn't think Daiji can hear him anymore, Kagerou tells him to think of that place as Ikki's grave. Hiromi comes to fight, but Kagero just sends more Deadmen at him. He's not the target after all. Ikki is. And right on time, Ikki shows up to fight Kagerou asking for his brother back. Kagerou tells him to screw off.
He's the kind of dick that even Vice doesn't like.
Ikki and Vice transform and start to fight with Kagerou in a attempt to free Daiji. Kagerou still has no desire to continue the whole family thing; it's making him sick. As far as Kagerou is concerned, Ikki is the whole reason he was born and why Daiji failed at being a Kamen Rider.
If only Ikki didn't sign that contract to become a magical girl. All Daiji wanted was his time to shine. But Ikki refuses to believe this is how Daiji wants to go about things and uses the Kamakiri stamp to try and save his brother, and rears up a kick.
Zenkaiger The Zenkaigers and the Colorful store is getting ready for Halloween. Too bad they didn't have enough treats for the Jack-O-Lantern gang who just robbed them of all the treats they had.
Secchan thinks that this is a Golgom Tojitendo plot and turns out the Robo-bird is right, and Halloween World is just shooting beams all over the place to trick people. The Zenkaigers transform to fight, and Hakaizer pops up to fight too. Meanwhile, Stacey is watching this from the rooftops, thinking about a conversation he had with the Hakaizer about why he fights: it's his purpose, it's fun, and teamwork.
Stacey thinks the reasons are trash.
While fighting, Magine kicks the Pumpkin head clear off and sends it flying. He lost his head, but all the people regained control. They just are... wearing pumpkins on their head. Because Pumpkin World's power is now at half. Begin the long search for the pumpkin head, in a sea of similar pumpkin heads. The Zenkaigers recruit the Twokaizers to help them find the pumpkin, but man is it hard when they all look the same.
It also turns out that the Tojitendo army doesn't know what power the Worlds will have until it's online. Huh. Thought they'd fix that.
In any case, the Zenkaigers can't seem to find any luck finding this pumpkin. And while looking for this pumpkin, Kaito finds Stacey, also partaking in the pumpkin search contest. Kaito makes a comment about how it looks like Stacey and Hakaizer make a great team, with Stacey immediately going, "It's n-not like I-I'm working w-with him, idiot! Our goals are just aligned right now! Leave it alone!" or something like that. Stacey is uncomfortable with the concept of "friends".
He storms off after that.
But the river has given him a gift in the form of a pumpkin. Hakaizer also sees it. Both start heading to the pumpkin
Elsewhere, deciding that searching for pumpkins isn't for them, the Twokaizer group start fighting the Halloween World. The Zenkaiger group comes shortly after to help in the fight. Meanwhile, Stacey and Hakaizer have come to Halloween World for pumpkin judging. Stacey thinks he found the winner, but Hakaizer comes in with the upset.
And to further upset thinks, Twokaizer destroys the pumpkin before Halloween World can put it on. Welp. Now he has to use the first loser just to get to his usual power.
Sorry Stacey. At least Hakaizer thought it was still a good pumpkin. A+ in his heart. Stacey tells him to stuff it and leaves.
The Zenkaiger and Twokaizer groups fight and destroy the Halloween World, and everyone finally returns to normal.
Only for Dai Halloween World to come out, but the groups form into their Zenkaiju-Oh form and finish the job.
Elsewhere, the rest of the Zenkaiger group is fighting and stalling Hakaizer so Kaito and Vox can finish the job. Hakaizer's battery runs out before he can leave and his helmet comes off. Long enough for them to see who is that masked man, but not long enough to prevent his retrieval so he can recharge and for Stacey to have something to stare at while thinking of destroying his home.
And man, Not sure how they're gonna explain the identity of Hakaizer to Kaito.
Welcome back, Kaito's dad.

She's sat in a corner of the roof when he finds her, they're meant to be running the café now. Yume offers her hand and tells him to take her, and he hears Sizumu's voice from a Computer World environment, questioning why he "wasted" his potential to be a Kaiju User, arguing if he'd embraced kaiju and destruction he'd have experienced true freedom, questioning if he'll regret it. Yomogi isn't sure, but intends to live, and rejects Sizumu's philosophy that bonds are shackles, Sizumu doesn't get it. Yomigi comes back and helps Yume up, calling her by her first name for the first time at her prompting. They get to work at the café, hoping their scars stay with them. In Computer World, Knight looks at the seal from the statue, and DynaRex stands once more. Scarred Souls Shine like Stars.

Tassel reaches Luna, introducing himself and promising to take her to Touna after she understands what she is. A Triple Rider Kick defeats Solomon, who attempts to use his spell to control Touma unsuccessfully, but uses it properly on Blades and Espada. Tassel explains to Luna that she is the embodiment of Wonder World, and her chosen one, Touma, will receive Wonder World's power and live their with her forever, she doesn't want to separate him from his friends though. Kento mocks Izaak for just manipulating people, and Runtaro notes his ambitions have caused him to lose all respect anyone ever held for him. He tries to drag them into darkness, but Yuri reawaken and brakes the attack and the spell, right before Durandal is made to kill Reika. Saber uses Lion Senki and Lamp do Alangina to form Special Edition. Combining their powers, they defeat Solomon, destroying Omni Force. At Southern Base, Ryoga collapses, to both siblings intense relief. Storious laughs. The injured Izaak crawls to a tunnel, where Omni Force reforms, but as he claims eternity, Storious appears, informing him his story is at an end, he reduces him to dust and claims Omni Force for himself, debuting a new outfit.
Zenkaiger: Boccowaus praises Gege, Barashitara grousing that he's treated better despite failing as well, Stacey is distracted by Yatsude reminding him of his mother, Boccowaus has Ijirude lend Gege another gear. Items are magnetised to everyone, thanks to Jishaku World, who disrupts the change by magnetising the Geartlingers, they do separate on changing, but attach to other things, and Jishaku World leaves them trapped until Zox arrives late. They get back to Colourful, there Stacey is having a snack, he gets them to pretend he's an acquaintance, Satoshi, not their enemy, but tension flares as soon as she leaves the room, but nothing happens before they realise the magnetic fields on the Kikainoids are getting stronger and making them flee the shop, Zox is waiting outside, as Magine is trapped Kaito and Secchan realises they need to stop Jishaku World fast. "Satoshi" helps Yatsude tidy up stuff that started moving, leaving but planning to come back, he runs into Kaito trying to get his help. Vroon is caught, and Gaon and Zyuran start pulling CrocoDaiOh, which only avoids crashing thanks to reverse thrusters. Zox argues to Stacey he should help Kaito since he's Yatsude's grandson. After Jishaku World reports to Gege, Stacey tells him the Zenkaigers might have found a way around his powers luring him to where Kaito and Zox are, they start fighting him as Flint keeps fighting to stop CrocoDaiOh hitting Zyuran and Gaon, who arrives at the battle running straight for Jishaku World, forcing him to reduce magnetism in the area so CrocoDaiOh doesn't hit him, and allowing everyone to move better. Zenkaiser uses Fiveman to access FiveRed's physics knowledge that lets him know heat will weaken Jishaku World. Shinken Form uses his fire abilities as Zyuran and Gaon join the fight, ZenkaiZyuran accessing his own fire and lending it to ZenkaiGaon, the 3 weakening him for Zenkaiser. Stacey leaves since he did as asked, Dai Jishaku World takes the field, separating Twokai-Oh, both ZenkaiOhs attempt to form, but are made the same poles. They use this to force Zyuran at Dai Jishaku World, so he pulls them in, only for them all to get stuck to him, but together they attack. Ijirude and Barashitara tell Gege he's not better than them, but he notes his involvement put Boccowaus in a better mood, so they'll now have more chances to try, and tells Stacey he knows what he did, but won't say for now. Yatsude asks Kaito about Satoshi, she could tell something was up when they met, Kaito admits they've fought, but makes clear he wants to be friends.

Yabai Kamen steals one of the 2 remaining drones, and uses it to warp away. I have returned from the depths of hell stuff
=-=-=-=-=
-- It's been a crazy past month with back-to-back playing appointments but ey, what's a musician without being hell crazy busy in December lol
-- And then some personal matters as well, but now things have started to settle down that I finally have time to post something lol
-- Caught up to Sleeping Lion 2, Geats 4 Aces movie, and Yorozuya Micchi last night lol
-- Eitoku-san appeared in Sleeping Lion 2, with spoken lines too! Muraoka-san (Ijirude) is the heroine's dad. I see Takaiwa-san's training batchmates are the heroines fathers... Who knows if Yokoyama-san's bar mama Charlie secretly has a daughter too and that'll be for Sleeping Lion 3? hahhaha
-- Shinta made a cameo too. Also Iwata-san's wife and daughter!
-- And of course a fight sequence between Mr. Kamen Rider and Mr. Ultraman :)
-- Takaiwa-san seems like he got injured midway into filming? He had a stunt double on some scenes too...
-- Speaking of Takaiwa, the eldest son was apparently in Tycoon meets Shinobi! He did the voice over for Fuuma :)
-- Still wrapping my head around Kingohger ending in what, some 8-9 weeks?
-- Also
-- BoonBoomger?! I'd say I wasn't convinced with the visuals alone...
-- But!
-- It's director Nakazawa! A lot of my favorite series are piloted by director Nakazawa (ToQger, Gokaiger, Zenkaiger, Ex-Aid, Geats) so I'm at least checking this one out :)
-- Waaaaiiit does that mean ToQger gets a chance to do 10th anniv this year? xD
-- I can't tell much with the visuals, and my very tired brain is not working too... but my guess is Takada Red, Takeuchi Blue, Sakanashi Pink. THAT, or Mori Red, Teramoto Blue, Shimozono Pink.
-- Jun-san is back as the action director. Butsuda-san is special effects director. Writer is veteran anime scriptwriter Tomizono Tomioka Atsuhiro.
-- Apparently they consider horizontal and vertical programming when they concept for a new series. In the case of BoonBoomger, they consider that is will air alongside Gotchard, and that it follows after Kingohger. I guess after all the new things they did in Kingohger, they'll go back to some elements of classics for this one.
-- Gotchard gives off a certain classics feel too, and I guess that comes with a more veteran pilot director. I'm not sure if Fukuzawa-san does the video storyboard thing like Jun-san and Fujita-san, and I don't know how much of the style is a conscious decision or a director's own stylistic approach, but Gotchard's action feels a little bit more...calm(?) than the past Reiwa riders. Which is not bad at all! After too much stimulus, a calm is good xD
-- A mix of new, young, and veteran producers, writers, directors give us interesting superhero time the past few years.
-- Usually there's a handful of directors in one series, but with Kingohger, it's mostly Kamihori, and Katou and Yamaguchi, a few episodes with Chatani, two episodes with Nakazawa, and two episodes with Sakamoto. Around 33 episodes out of 41 to date is between only three directors.
-- In contrast, Gotchard already had five different directors with Tasaki, Yamaguchi, Watanabe Katsuya, Fukuzawa, and Shibasaki and it's only until episode 15.
-- Different styles give different results, I guess :)
-- I very rarely watch drama - Korean, Japanese, or otherwise. But there's going to be a drama where Kan Hideyoshi and Okuno Sou are exes and for the love of my favorite Kansai-hailed Rider actors, I will give this one a try xD

The Wind Swordsman's Resolve
Trigger: New Generation Tiga. So this by all appearances is a new universe with familiar elements from Tiga (and some Dyna) reimagined in various ways. Carmeara escapes from being sealed in the depths of space, she is clearly designed after Camaerra. Manaka Kengo is tending to a plant he calls R'lyeh when Yuzare appears to him, and he sees a vision of a Giant of Darkness which attacks him before he wakes up. Yuzare again based on the Tiga character. His mother, Reina, will be showing President Shizuma ancient ruins...on Mars, where their city is a small colony. After the sudden appearance of Kaiju 6 years ago, Tatsumi Seiya announces the TPU has finished development of the Battleship Nursedessei and remote control fighter GUTS Falcon and formed the defense team GUTS Select. Kengo's efforts to have plants take root on Martian soil aren't going well, he hopes it'll be better near the ruins. He manages to head there behind his mother and President Shizuma's group, Reina found the ruins 20 years ago as part of the early development team, they've discovered the ruins form an inverted pyramid, and found a giant stone sword, which was tested and found to match composition of ruins Shizuma found on earth, an Ultra Ancient civilisation from 30 million years ago. The sword mysteriously glows, as does Kengo, right before, outside the dome, Golba appears. Golba is a fusion of Golza and Melba, the first 2 Tiga kaiju. As damage spreads a mysterious barrier protects Kengo from rubble. Golba breaks in, and is recognised as a fusion by Shizuma, who uses a GUTS Sparklence and Gomora Hyper Key to drive it off, however Carmeara is now in the dome, and has found Trigger. Kengo feels useless in the aftermath when Yuzare appears again to be cryptic, before Shizuma approaches him, asking about his goal. Kengo wants to be able to plant R'lyeh on Mars and make it bloom, spreading joy to everyone, the President, offering his a GUTS Sparklence, tells him to reach out for his dreams, remembering the example of Ultraman Tiga. As Golba resumes it's attack, Kengo takes the Sparklence and rushes into the ruins. The sword reacts to him again, opening a hole to the bottom the ruins where a stone giant is. Kengo is scared, as it appears to be the Giant of Darkness from his dreams, but calms down until Carmeara attacks, him inexplicably understanding her words. Carmeara is trying to destroy Trigger in revenge, but attacks Kengo too, Yuzare appears and defends him briefly. Kengo affirms his desire to protect, and light from Trigger's Colour Timer flows into his blank Hyper Key, forming the Trigger Multi Type Key. Seeing a vision of the ancient Trigger changing, hecuses the key in the Sparklence to merge with the statue as Ultraman Trigger, Shizuma cryptically noting Ultraman exists in this world too. Trigger battles Golba and Carmeara, and is on the ropes until he has a vision of Trigger using the sword, and calls Circle Arms to him, using the Zeperion key to bring Golba down, it then shields Carmeara from a Zeperion Beam. Shizuma asks Kengo to come to earth and joins GUTS Select. On earth in the Shizuma mansion, the president's daughter and a boy watch the news, the Girl excited to see Giants of Light do exist.
Galaxy Rescue Force: On their first day, Ribut and Sora introduce themselves to Gukura Shiisa, and thanks to notes Queen Izana gave Sora we learn there are few Gukura Shiisa left, as civilisations grow the nature they exist to protect falls away, this one was found by Izana and recruited to GRF. Ribut misunderstands how well Shiisa can understand him.
Saber: Desast struggles to heal, damaging his book further, unaware Ren has seen. Northern Base make plans, hoping to stop Storious by taking Viktor's book. Kento recalls that some of his visions of the end had the Swordsmen face Storious, they decide to cross reference landmarks from those visions with Sophia sensing another like herself to find him. Ren goes to Desast and challenges him. Rintaro finds Luna, while the Shindais meet Mei, thanking her for earlier, she tries to enlist Ryoga. Desast has Ren beat. Touma finds the secret entrance to Storious' base, the Shindais join him inside. Ren manages to get an edge by using Rintaro's technique, then loses, finds his will truly and after a long battle defeats Desast for good. In Storious' Base they find Storious' Sophia, Charybdis, and books containing human souls. Storious has Charybdis eat the souls and Sophia, Xross Saber, Durandal and Savela battle, eventually turning the tide. Storious attacks and then, to everyone's shock, has Charybdis eat him as well. Charybdis crumbles to reveal Storious, now holding a new book and purporting to know all. Luna senses, and Wonder Story adds a page showing, the end Storious intends to bring about.
Zenkaiger: Stacey sneakily uses Ijirude's computer, seeing images of figures who resemble Kaito's parents. Su-san is now bug catching like a boy in summer. This is naturally the work of Kabutomushi World, who soon has the Zenkaigers under his spell. Gege suggests the illusion can be used to control slaves when not working. Stacey says various things related to Kaito at the images, eventually giving up, however, they awaken afterwards. Secchan is suddenly hit by inspiration. The World Pirates make a plan to lure out Kabutomushi World. Zix uses Abaranger to use the Wing Pentact to draw a trap for Kabutomushi World, but Barashitara, who last met Zox during the raid on Tonitendo, joins the battle. In the illusion, Kaito remembers a time he caught bugs with his parents, this leads him to remember what's going on, but he can't wake the others, so goes to join the fight. Secchan and Flint arrive with their new creation, the Zenkaiju Gear, which Kaito uses to become the Dragon Caesar influenced Super Zenkaiser and defeat Kabutomushi World. Dai Kabutomushi World takes the stage as the others arrive as giants to form ZenkaiOh. Twokai-Oh Katana lends a hand. Afterwards, Secchan explains he suddenly found new data, and was able to have Flint create the Zenkaiju Gear, she took the chance to make another for Zox.

The At a Climax Mammoth Pair
Trigger: In the past, Carmeara sent Gargorgon to turn Yuzare into a statue she could use, but Yuzare's power allowed her to send the attack back, petrifying Gargorgon. President Shizuma returns to Nursedessei, showing ancient images from across the world of Gubika, Gamakujira, Gomora and Deathdrago, meaning the same kaiju that are appearing now we're part of the ancient events 30,000,000 years ago, he also has an image of a mural from Egypt resembling the tablet, for Akito to analyse. He promises to answer Yuna's questions, and sends Tatsumi a message to explain to everyone else. Taking Yuna to a secret hangar, she is shocked to find the secretly developed GUTS Wing. Her father reveals he is not from this earth, but a world where TPC's elite team GUTS protected the world, GUTS Wing is of that other world. Tatsumi is explaining this to the rest, though Akito already knew. A TPC officer, Shizuma had been using GUTS Wing to investigate a phenomenon, only to be brought across dimensions to this world 30 years ago. That world also had an Ultraman, Tiga. This is being explained now because of the tough upcoming battles, a rough 18th birthday present for Yuna. Shizuma gives Yuna a ring on a necklace, a heirloom from her mother, descended from an ancient bloodline, which unknown to everyone causes a reaction from the tablet. Yuna asks about her mother, but is possessed by Yuzare who warns that Gargorgon is unsealed thanks to Carmeara. Preparations for a party for Yuba are interrupted by the emergence of Gargorgon. GUTS Falcon fights as Yuna and Shizuma are at risk, until Trigger arrives. Shizuma explains about her mother, Yurika, who knew Yuna's fate as Yuzare's reincarnation, and his vow to keep her safe. As Akito arrives, Shizuma prepares to make use of GUTS Wing's remote flight settings, developed for it as a testbed of GUTS Falcon. To try and protect the others Yuna tries and manages to channel Yuzare, to Hudram's glee, Darrgon more thoughtful. Shizuma blinds Gargorgon, allowing Trigger to finish the kaiju, Yuna seems hurt by Akito knowing about Yuzare. At Yuna's party, Akito gives her a stun gun, everyone else sees this for the bad idea it is.
Galaxy Rescue Force: Joneus is assisting Sora with an investigation on an ocean planet where they've detected signs of non-native life which could disrupt the biosphere if left alone. They're attacked by a Valkie Seijin, who intends to fight Joneus rather that surrender peacefully. Sora interrupts the battle after spotting Samekichi, an infant Samekijira Valkie has brought to the planet so it can thrive, because he cares for it. Joneus promises U40 will protect Samekichi and care for it, which Valkie accepts. Ribut arrives to help Sora, only for everything to be sorted.
Revice: Aguilera wants Giff too revive soon, and is brought a new Deadman volunteer. Daiji asks Mama how to have Ikki sign up with Fenix, while urban planners come trying to force Ikki, on behalf of the bathhouse, agree to sell the land, which the community is against. Sakura is dropped off with a friend, Ayaka, on the way to Ayaka's sister Miaru's fashion suit, spied on by the Deadman volunteer and Julio. Giff Junior's attack, and Fenix rush to the scene, ass does Ikki. Meeting Sakura he and Ayaka have an awkward moment before the volunteer kidnaps Ayaka, demands Sakura as a 2nd hostage, before sending out his Kong Deadman, forcing Ikki to fight as Revice when Daiji gets there. After using Eagle to blow through the soldiers, Julio arrives and offers the hostages for the ViStamps, which Vice is in favour of, Daiji opts to run back to Fenix, requesting ViStamps, George gives him Mammoth and Pterodactyl, Daiji then asks about another item. The kidnapper has Ayaka call her mother for ransom, but she doesn't pick up the call, just messaging she'll call back after the shoot, Ayaka claims her mother doesn't care about her. Daiji offers the Pterodactyl ViStamp, which is taken, only to be beaten, passing out he hands Ikki the Mammoth ViStamp, which the angry Ikki uses to become Revi & Vice Mammoth Genomes, which is Den-O themed. Sakura breaks free and attacks the kidnapper, while Revice Mammoth makes Julio drop his stamp and retreat, they then take out the Deadman. Daiji's pride is suffering from not being allowed the Driver, Wakabayashi telling him to focus on his duty, and he lashes a little at Ikki. Kadota interrogates the kidnapper about the Kong ViStamp, hecreveals he was only recruited for the kidnapping, someone else summoned the Deadman, as at the hideout said volunteer is offered a new ViStamp by Aguilera, their identity implicitly revealed by the shot of her foot.
Zenkaiger: Zox, Riki and Katana are currently staying at Colourful while Flint takes Kaito and Gaon in CrocoDaiOh to continue the search for Mitsuko, they're currently in Vacationtopia. Yatsude is still very concerned about both her son and daughter-in-law. Zox sees Vroon with volumes of manga and reveals his own love of manga, right before Secchan announce the city is turning into manga. They arrive to find Manga World, who Zox recognises uses the Mangatopia Gear, turning people into Manga pages and collecting them as volumes. While the team are fighting Kudakks the twins try to steal the volume, but are caught and added as a new serialisation. Manga World turns Magine, Zyuran, and the Vroon Pick into manga before Zenkaiser returns to the scene. Manga World escapes, but they retrieved the team pages, but Zox is really angry that Katana and Riki are captives. At the briefing with Boccowaus seems happy with Barashitara's current scheme, but is more annoyed to hear, thanks to Gege bringing it up, that Ijirude has lost a research sample. The team make a plan to lure Manga World, but Zox vets angry at the idea a bunch of amateurs think they can make their own manga. Ijirude is using Isao's knowledge when Stacey enters, enquiring about Isao's location. The trap is a trail of manfa volumes to lure in Manga World such as Ultra Marilyn, he is distracted by the volumes, so Kaito sneaks to grab the manga with the captives, only for Manga World to have seen through the plan and turn him into manga as well. CrocoDaiOh appears, dropping Manga pages that so enthrall Manga World he reads despite knowing it's a trap, allowing Zox to get the book. The manga is a treasure he stole from Mangatopia. The team fight, even those made into manfa, Stacaesar arrives to challenge Zenkaiser again, he's able to use Dynaman to trigger the Bara Finale. Twokaiser defeats Manga World, restoring everyone, and against Dai Manga World, Zenkaijuoh takes the stage to defeat it. Ijirude is unable to find new ideas from Isao, before latching on the idea of mental stimulation.

The New Swordsman of Darkness
Heroes' Odyssey: Zero talks about X's battle with Greeza, followed by Z and Geed's battle with Greeza.
Saber: Kento, acting very different, says he has come back to prevent destruction by sealing each Seiken. Sabela on hearing this is angered and goes to attack him, but Saikou blocks, prompting her to escape, taking Rintaro with her. Kento says he'll be sealing Touma's sword and vanishes. Later, I believe Yuri explains that those cut down by Kurayami either die or fall into a realm of darkness, so Kento must have returned from there. Kento alone recalls a vision of the Seiken all together, and him seeming to stop the reshaping of the world they cause, but leaving the world naught but dust. Ren asks Reika if it's true Kento is alive, she tells him he's there enemy. Tassel, or "Viktor", appears to Master Logos. Yuri explains about Kurayami's ability to seal Seikens. Long ago a woman connected the two worlds, allowing 5 humans to crossover. One created Sword of Logos, one remained to guard Wonder World, and the other 3, drawn by power, absorbed part of the original book. As the Northern Base members realise that that means, we see Legeiel produce his own book from his body and give it to Storious. During the ensuing conflict Kurayami was created, with the power to seal Saikou if it was ever misused. Tassel confronts Master Logos over his actions, which go against the pledge he made with the original, Master Logos disagrees with that notion and intends to acquire the original book and remake the world in his own image, and as Tassel protests dies something, easing him to disappear. Touma, Mei and Ogami go looking for Kento. Yuri confronts Kento, and after some words refuse to see eye to eye and battle, soon joined by Sabela. Everyone arrives, with Ogami and Daishinji joining, to settle the score and work things out with Kento. Caliber used Jaou Dragon to trap Sabela and overpower the others. Touma reminds Kento of the promise to save Luna, which he acknowledges, but they can't do that if the world is gone. He's seen the future, and it is certain, unless all the Seiken are sealed. When Touma tries to persuade him, Kento finishes his sentence and continues, he's seen this conversation as well. Storious and Zooous might defeat them all, with the Seiken joining to create the Original Book and unmake the world. They might all join together and defeat Storious and Zooous, only for the Seiken to then join together in bring the Original Book out. A last battle in Northern Base, a battle with the Megiddo that Master Logos appears at, more and more, the details vary but the end result is the same. Using Jaou Dragon again Caliber overpowers the Swordsmen, sealing Suzune. Touma, distressed in Kento's change, uses Dragonic Knight, before in his despair quickly being possessed by Primitive Dragon. Caliber leaves, and Sabela grabs Bremen no Rock Band before leaving. Touma sees the boy, who recognising loneliness offers his hand, but Touma is to distraught to do anything and the boy walks away, the transformation cancels. As Daishinji mourns Suzune, Reika returns to Master Logos with what she's retrieved, Rintaro and Ren sit in thought, Kento broods and Touma struggles.
Zenkaiger: The Tojitendo leadership are only aware of the Super Sentai due to their existence in some of the worlds caught in the Tojiru Gears, Gege seeming to have the best knowledge. Vroon hears some talking about this. Ijirude gets the idea to use the Kinokotopia Tojiru Gear on a Kudakk, creating Kinoko World, spreading mushrooms across the world. Gaon has spent his time on earth obsessing over cute things. Now caught up with last times ending, Kaito and Zyuran spot Ijirude and Kinoko World, Ijirude is shocked to learn Gears are the secret to the Zenkaigers power, revealing his use of Gears in the World. Zenkaiser and ZenkaiZyuran use the Goggle V Gear to wield the Pink Ribbon for a Ribbon Spark attack. After that the Tojitendo flee. Zyuran explains how the Tojitendo oppress ass the Kikainoids, Secchan advises recruiting more allies, leading Gaon to be amongst a crowd of witnesses to Zenkaiser and Zyuran Tyranno appearing, but nobody is interested, Gaon finds Kaito cute, and asks to be friends, Kaito is happy to do so even if Gaon won't fight. As people acclimatise to the Mushrooms, Kinoko World activates them, releasing spores which poison the humans, seeing the lain this is causing gives Gaon the determination to fight. I love the gag of the new member just popping off on a random Kudakk. Gaon's look only vaguely resembles the Gaoranger uniforms to be honest, and his head resembles Leo more than anything, but as ZenkaiGaon he represents the "Animal" Sentai, resembling GaoKing. In battle they use the Hurricanger Gear, utilising Chou Ninpou, Kage no Mai. Zenkaiser and ZenkaiGaon finish Kinoko World, but Ijirude summons a Kudaitest, which accidentally absorbs the Tojiru Gear to turn it into Dai Kinoko World, the Mushroom Power running amok. Zyuran Tyranno goes to fight, and Gaon follows, becoming Gaon Lion, which obviously references GaoLion but may also reference GingaRed, ZyuohLion, Yellow Lion and arguably Vul Panther. Kaito decides to grow as well, before Secchan can explain what his gear actually does, combining the pair into ZenkaiOh ZyuraGaon. The pair aren't keen on the combination, but Kaito pilots them to victory, defeating Dai Kinoko World and destroying the Kinokotopia Gear, freeing Kinokotopia, as Vroon sees while cleaning.
Dogengers: Kitaqman has come to face Yabai Kamen alone, he calls in I-Doll. Tanaka and Fukuokaliber return home to Yamashiron who was trying to prepare a reunion party, El Brave comes back early as well, and then Yamashiron gets a message from Kitaqman about the fight. The heroes arrives as Kitaqman is defeated, and angered Tanaka fights before being thrown at I-Doll while Yamashiron, El Brave and Fukuokaliber try to fight Yabai Kamen. Shaberryman arrives, giving over his Golden Seal power on Yabai Kamen's orders. The heroes are all defeated and I-Doll prepares to remove Tanaka from her mind by killing him. Yuki is defiant towards her captors, when Shaberryman arrives to inform them the battle already started, the rest leave to help Yabai Kamen while leaving him to keep hold of Yuki. He claims Tanaka's loss is certain, she disagrees, and intends to fight, Shaberryman suddenly collapses. Yabai Kamen stops I-Doll killing Tanaka, trying to recruit him. Tanaka reminds him Ohgaman will come back, and he acknowledges he probably still can't beat Ohgaman, so as Tanaka shouts out too late, causing I-Doll to react, goes for the last remaining Golden Seal he knows how to get, cutting down I-Doll. I-Doll tells Tanaka she remembered how glad she was when he told her to wait, her fondest memories are of playing with him and Yuki when the two of them were children, those memories were her treasure, as her body fades, leaving the monster and girl dolls they played with as children. As Yabai Kamen notes this must be fate, Tanaka adds one more obstacle to Yabai Kamen's plans, himself. Yabai Kamen activates Service Zangyo Ver, the unarmoured greeting version.
