And like the moment they hold the baby they don't know what to do but once they stare at the baby in the eyes they are overcome with the need to protect them and they end up gazing at the baby with the softest expression 😳🙈 and that's when you (their s/o) utterly melt and say smth like "you'd be a great papa," which makes them blush to the tip of their ears asdfghjkl >/////<

Diluc Looking after a 2 month old Baby

Tbh it was a surprise when your cousin had abruptly asked you to babysit your niece while she went on a date with her husband.

Fair Enough, right?

.... Except maybe you had forgotten to tell Diluc, and now he was rushing around the house alongside the maids to try to baby-proof everything.... Even if little Lilian was only going to be around for a night or a few hours at most.

Diluc gives me off meticulous vibes y'all xD

Which naturally leads to you needing to use the bathroom, as all cliche stories go, and Diluc's the only one in the room. It's 8pm now and almost everyone's retired for the night!

"Diluc, babe. Can you do me a favour and hold onto Lilli for a bit? I need to use the bathroom."

Blankly and almost in disbelief, your red-headed boyfriend just stared at you as if he couldn't believe his ears. Did you just say what he thought you said? You knew his situation with his father and held that utmost belief that he was terrible with children (perhaps how young Venti looked played a part in that). And yet you were still entrusting him with your niece?

Smiling knowingly, you hoisted Lilli to your waist and approached your beloved.

"You'll do fine, Diluc. I promise. I trust you."

Begrudgingly, he takes Lillian from you, putting down whatever he was holding earlier.

And once you're out of the room, he just sits on the couch with the baby in the air, staring at her with curiosity. As far as he knows, babies cry and are messy.

But Lillian is just... quiet. And equally as curious.

Diluc is surprisingly soft for Lillian and it take a single smile from the babe to make his shell crack

All he did was blow his hair out of his face too xD

Standing by the door with that soft smile still plastered on your face, you watched as Lillian attempted to grab at the strands of his crimson locks falling by his shoulder and just beyond her reach. Diluc has an equally quiet smile on his face, content to be in the presence of someone innocent.

Clearing your throat almost cautiously, you announce your own presence in the room before taking a seat beside him. Immediately Lillian reaches out to you, brushing past Diluc's cheek as she does so. The man in question visibly stiffens and you stifle a giggle.

"You'd make a good father you know, 'Luc."

And if it was possible, the Darknight hero stiffened even further. Taking Lillian back into your arms, you eye the slow blush making its way across the plumpness of his cheeks and lean over, planting your lips against the side closest to you.

It takes him several moments to realise your words, and he the pink splodges against his pale cheeks spread right up to the tips of his ears.

Giggling, you lean over again and press your lips lightly against the warming tip.

"You're too cute, Diluc."
