Me: *doesn’t feel queer enough for other LGBTQIA+ people to recognize me as part of the community* Also me (at one singular event): “Have you heard Hozier’s new album?”, “You know, Chiron? He’s from Greek mythology,” “omg I LOVE the Percy Jackson books!”, “fuck the system! *insert social justice rant*”, “Remember SuperWhoLock?”, “Good Omens is my favorite show, it’s so good!”, “This would be better if they served garlic bread, and cake for dessert,” “Do you know your sun, moon and rising?”, *styles mandatory T-shirt with the most extra skirt, shoes, earrings, giant flower hair clip, crystal + moon necklaces and literal rainbow and black/grey/white/purple bracelets*
***These things a queer person doth not maketh. You can be queer and not like any of these things and be totally valid

perhaps I should’ve known I was aroace when I was confused why Paris would choose Aphrodite because Athena’s and Hera’s offers were so much better.

I’ve always fallen in love easily; I take to love like a fish to water. An hour, a day, a week, a month—and just like that, I’m in love again.
I fell in love with the way you perform, overflowing with confidence and passion and stunning skill. I fell in love with your humor, your compassion, the way you lose yourself in music. I fell in love with the way your voice sounds in song and in prose. I fell in love with the way you smile, the way you move, the way you shine.
But none of that is colored by the rosy fingers of Eos.
My love for you is not the fiery tug to your body but rather the soft pulsation that pulls me to your soul. My love for you is not the desire for your lips on mine but rather for the comfortable pressure of your embrace.
Aphrodite has no hold on me; the arrows of Eros bounce off my skin as if I were Achilles himself.
It's a gorgeous thing, love. If we limit it to this singular concept of romantic or sexual love, if we treat that kind of relationship as the ultimate goal of humanity, are we not taking away this beautiful, human thing?
I find love everywhere, and that is a true gift.
If we keep insisting that love is to be reserved solely for our "one true love," then, in our endless search for the illusion of true love, we'll be blind to the beauty and joy of friendships and hobbies.

Now im just thinking, hit me in the back of my neck really hard if im out of line but hear me out
People should make more ace characters who are weird about sex and have kinks actually. i would appreciate it a lot as a freakish asexual.

You don’t need me to tell you whether you should accept this offer. You need me only to show you to yourself...Do you hear that? It’s your body talking to you. Do what it tells you to do. Be its employee. It doesn’t matter what your head is working out—the monthly grand, the uncertainty of unemployment, the meta/feminist gymnastics. Putting faith in that stuff might pay the rent, but it’s never going to build your house.
We are here to build the house.
It’s our work, our job, the most important gig of all: to make a place that belongs to us, a structure composed of our own moral code. Not the code that only echoes imposed cultural values, but the one that tells us on a visceral level what to do.
Excerpt from "We Are Here to Build the House," tiny beautiful things by Cheryl Strayed
When I read this segment, I immediately thought of Sakuko telling Chizuru about building their own castles. And of course Sakuko's mentions of castles thereafter. I think the part about the house being "a structure composed of our own moral code" fits with what Sakuko and Takahashi were working towards in the show: a family (subject to change) that could metamorphosize into the castle they need it to be, physical or not, together or apart.

Maybe this makes me an asshole or something but I get really annoyed when other asexuals act like being asexual inherently means you know nothing about sex or kink or things like that, like as an asexual who isn’t uncomfortable with these topics I get really annoyed when people act like their personal lack of knowledge or care for sex is a universal thing for all asexuals

BBC Merlin characters sexuality headcanons
Although I’d like to think of Merlin as a gay disaster, I’m a simp for the short-lived romance that he had with Freya. Therefore, Merlin is my bisexual disaster child. Please give him a break, he’s been through enough bullshit already. He is also genderfluid.
Arthur is a bisexual King, there’s no arguing there. He’s a simp for our unhinged sorcerer and our cinnamon roll Gwen. The amount of heart eyes that he’s been giving Merlin... it’s crazy. This guy had literally zero suspicion after he asked Merlin where Dragoon went and Merlin deadass said “he went that way” and pointed at the ceiling. Merlin even started talking with Dragoon’s voice right in front of Arthur’s face before clearing his throat. But Arthur’s bi ass caught sight of a dimple for 0.2 seconds and was like ‘seems legit’. I mean, come on.
Morgana is a lesbian Queen. Argue with the fucking wall. What do you mean she became evil and tormented everyone in Camelot? I don’t remember that, you must’ve watched a different show. Morgana and Gwen are dating.
Gwen is the pansexual Queen. The way she could ask me to do anything and I’d do it, no questions asked...
Lancelot is bisexual. He’s been in love with Gwen, and he definitely had a thing for Merlin.
Leon is aroace.
Gwaine is a pansexual disaster. He is definitely, 100% not straight, that’s for sure. He obviously had a thing for Merlin. Gwaine is the biggest flirt. He flirts with everyone regardless of their gender.
Elyan is asexual.
Percival is demisexual and panromantic.
Mithian and Elena are girlfriends. No further explanation needed.
Nimueh and Ygraine were secret lovers.
