I was going through my health textbook and someone wrote "fuck that" under the lines about ending friendships because dating is more important and if that is not the most aromantic/aroace thing ever, I don't know what is.
Reminder that it's not your fault if someone gets a crush on you. It's not your fault that they like you like that. Especially if you don't like them back, are aromantic, asexual, or any other reason- even if you don't have a reason!
if I see one more “straight people on the aromantic and/or asexual spectrum don’t count” I will personally light shit on fire
If you’re heterosexual and aromantic, you’re valid. If you’re asexual and heteroromantic, fuck yeah, you’re valid too. You belong here, in LGBTQIA+ spaces, and I love and accept you here. You belong at the pride parade, you belong in the LGBTQIA+ clubs at your school or university, and you belong in the LGBTQIA+ community.
We love you. You belong. anyone who says otherwise can go fuck themselves.
good evening to every single asexual who has been pressured into doing things they weren't comfortable for them because of fear of rejection or harm if their asexual identity wasn't 'taken well', and every single asexual who had someone say they could 'fix' them, and every single asexual whose identity has been disrespected and trampled on in the LGBTQ community, and every single asexual who didn't have the courage to say no, and every single asexual who thought it just wasn't worth it to explain being ace to someone so instead just put up with uncomfortable things, and every single asexual who has been made to feel like their identity is simply 'innocent' and 'pure', and every single asexual who is sick and fucking tired of it all.
happy pride month to asexuals and aromantics and everything in between. i want each and everyone of you to know that you are loved and cherished by the community even though there are some who try to diminish us. you are a valued, important, and valid part of the lgbtqia+ community. thank you for simply existing this pride 🏳️🌈🖤🤍💜🖤🤍💚
Feeling sexual attraction for someone and wanting to have sex with someone are actually two completely different but very similar feelings, and don't let any allosexuals (for whom this feeling is largely the same and very difficult for them to differentiate) tell you any different.
As an asexual (I identify as greysexual), I rarely feel sexual attraction even to my husband, but I want to have sex with him because he is awesome 🥰.
