I keep seeing this same thing over and over again where people try to divide up the "good trans people" and the "bad trans people". Useally by trying to claim that the bad group is some combination of over represented or giving the group a bad name. And like, there's always something very racist about what's considered good and bad, specifically very Orientalist.
"Good" transmascs are defined by having facial hair and body hair, having traditionally masculine body types, have extremely western interests and ways of dressing, etc. And the "bad" transmascs are stereotyped as being too slender and hairless, and for wanting to look like anime boys or Kpop idols, and for being somehow both sexless and perverted, etc. Like, there's a very clear trend here with these truscumy posts.
Same goes for transfems. Where "bad transfems" are seen as being obsessed with looking like anime girls, being too into computers, being flat chested and childlike, and being horny in a submissive way.
There's a very clear trend where every trait members of the queer community consider negative in other queer people match up with negative stereotypes the west has about eastasian people. It's why you hear "you can't transition into an anine boy" coming from people who in the past we would call truscum, when fandoms like Dr. Who or Hazbin Hotel which also have a lot of transmasc fans and twinkish characters get ignored by them. It's why the standards for what they consider passing are always bodies that look white and dress very western. It's why femboys are seen as gross and perverted, while drag queens are seen as wholesome and marketable, they're both crossdressing performers, but one has Anglo-Australian origins while the other has Japanese origins, which is why you'll never see a library with femboy story hour.
Just like how people who enforce the gender binary may be bioessentialists, but will also claim being male or female is something one can fail at, the same goes for white supremacy; whiteness is seen as something white people can fail at. So even if the "bad trans people" in question are white, what they're being scolded for is ultimately that they're failing at whiteness, and because whiteness is tied to gender roles they're failing at masculinity or femininity.
Every trait trans people say makes other trans people "one of the bad ones" is just an orientalist stereotype. This truscumish behavior that's getting more and more popular isn't happening in a void.

I went to pride yesterday and at the parade it took all my self control not to just lie down on the ground and cry bc I saw a group of Asian moms and other parents marching in support of queer and trans people. A lot of my community don’t openly support us, if they support us at all, and to see them actually marching in the parade itself was a really emotional experience.
There were also people in the parade with signs like “trans is divine” and whatnot and I’m not even religious OR spiritual but that also almost made me cry. We’re always told our bodies are disgusting, and our bodily autonomy is so heavily politicized that to see these kinds of affirmations was incredible.

Being so autistic in your black-and-white thinking that you debate with yourself for years about whether you’re autistic or not. (Moral of the story: the DSM-5 sucks ass, it’s a spectrum, cultural and racial influences as well as being AFAB definitely affected my masking, and rampant childhood abuse)
Also me: being so trans and autistic in your “it would be cool to have a dick” (like several times a day to the point of driving your friends up the wall with your phallic jokes) and “ugh do people really just like me for my boobs” and black-and-white thinking that you don’t come out as non-binary until you’re done with your terminal college degree and have the brain space to finally be like OHHHHH

So season 2 of the summer I turned pretty got rid of Shayla, a woc and replaced her with a Skye, a white character who is also non-binary. Even if the show wanted to add non-binary representation, it feels like a missed opportunity to have a non-binary character of color
I don't watch that particular show but I hear you on observing missed opportunities to give these kinds of stories to characters of color!
Sometimes I wonder if it's these showrunners/writers trying to be mindful of "doing" representation well, or if it's more like a failure of imagination to realize that their woc character could possibly go through a journey of self discovery re gender and come out as non-binary... 🤷‍♀️
For the curious, here's the actors for Shayla (Minnie Mills) and Skye (Elsie Fisher) --

And like... "non-binary" does not mean "afab person who cuts their hair short" and I'm very much looking forward to the time when the tv/film industry catches up lmao

Excel Spreadsheet
I’m going to be keeping a spreadsheet of face claims as well as posting them as posts. This spreadsheet will list the name, gender, age, race and hair colour of each face claim, ordered lowest to highest by age.
The upside of this is it’s much easier to compile and gives you information quickly. It allows you to find what you’re looking for quicker than looking through my blog post by post, however it doesn’t have pictures, which is the downside.
It is linked on my main page, but here is the link for you again.
