Man, the Crobat being dead was such a twist. Like, in hindsight I feel like I should have expected it, but I didn’t. I’m just sitting here going “Damn…” trying to figure out what better word to use.

"You could say I have ways of pulling strings," the sense of self-satisfaction Haines had long shelved due to everything that happened over the last few months finally returned to her. "When you have been through as much as I have, you will eventually find a way of building a number of contacts."

"As for how hard it is to keep anyone under your thumb; yes and no. There is a spectrum for me in terms of how easy it is to have people under your control. For me there are four factors on how to control someone: social standing, length of time known, their own agenda and their social circle. If someone has to struggle with finances or possessions, put a carrot on a stick. If you have known someone a long time, you are able to get more favors out of them. Someone has a goal, offer assistance in favor of furthering your own. Everyone has a social circle, find the strongest and weakest link and work from there. Keep in mind, these are not a greater or less than situation, it is far more fluid."

i never actually talked about what led me to my original prediction in the first place, but it was from a conversation with my roommate about past pkmn gen gimmicks and how a lot of the japanese logos for the last few generations of games have had an icon of that gen's Gimmick-Related Object in it (i.e., sun and moon's japanese logos have z-crystals in them, x and y's jpn logos have the mega evolution symbol in them, etc.)--and scarvio's japanese logo looks like this

so i saw this thing

and was like "oh my god, what if it's a magic crystal and it makes your pokemon crystal-version'd", mostly because i like my little pony and i think about the crystal ponies Often. that was just immediately what my brain visualized

and then from there i went from "im saying this as a joke" to "oh my god hang on this has legs actually" because I remembered the Crystal Onix from the old Orange league arc of the pokemon anime and also, uh, this

it's just very funny all around. i cannot believe i was able to call it correctly just from looking at that little gemstone icon one (1) time HFHGDFGHD

I made pokemon versions of them already (Sarah is lucario/umbreon and Hugh is zoroark/bouffalant) and pmd versions where it’s just the prevos so idk what’s up w that. I’m thinking both umbreon and lucario are friendship based so maybe Sarah evolves after a particularly heartwarming scene w hugh

sparkle, solstice, and their brother luster (who’s a sylveon hybrid and unreleased at this point) are a rescue team!

their parents jovi and equinox would also be important… they would like give advice and guide the trio bc theyre still kinda lil

khione would join them at a later point, saving them from some kinda pokemon

poseidon and his unreleased wife, hestia (delphox), would run a shop in the town I think

link and anubis (who are both unreleased but have been in the backgrounds a few times, gallade and lucario respectively) would be an experienced team the trio look up to I think

Lily: I'm enjoying my current evolution, catch my drift?

Pandora: I do wanna evolve into delphox someday, but I have to study first! I bet I can evolve before I'm fifteen!!

Malachi: Wait, Pandora -- agh. Well, for me, I quite like being a delphox. I have access to many more advanced techniques this way, though that's not to say it would be impossible for a braixen. It's simply easier now. That comes with the territory of learning and expanding your skillset.

Thomas: Not keen on losing the hands, no fucking way. Or the height, before someone snips in about how torracats also have hands.
