I'M SORRY but sonic saying that amy is the sweetest friend anyone can ask for (all my emotions oh god) then uttering that no one remembers that - the latter sentence. i know sonic meant no one in that universe, but still. it felt like it was a subtle nod to the fanbase. that amy IS a beloved friend, there's more to her than what she has been portrayed as in the past. and i so appreciate it came from sonic's mouth. she means so much to him.
Yeah, I'm very impressed with the sheer amount of spotlight they gave to Amy in Prime. She's the key to most of the season's core themes (like that damn palmtree that's a beacon of memories, hope, love and who knows what else), and they just kept giving her so many moments, most of them coming from Sonic's mouth no less!
And during episode 5 (I'm sorry but that episode is living rent free in my head) you can see how deeply she inspires him, because he keeps bringing up the way she handled certain situations, her love and compassion, and what she was trying to get Sonic to understand before the universe shattered. And it takes him the entire episode to finally GET what she originally meant with the palmtree and their memories, and he admires that so much he's willing to admit time and time again just how great Amy is, how much she means to him.
This entire season did Amy so much justice, I hope there are people out there taking notes on what she represents and why she's the emotional core, the heart of the group.
(Oh, and you can see he doesn't want to attack the alternate versions of Amy because every single time he's reminded of the original one, of her face, her smile, her cheerful nature and his own feelings about her.)

hey!! how do you think sonic and amy balance eachother? im curious to know your opinion (like where she helps him/he helps her and the give and take in their relationship or their diff perspectives). i find it really hard to put into words myself but i know you like these two so id love to know!
@latin-dr-robotnik you might wanna add more :P in the meantime, I'll link to this post.
Their biggest balance, for me, comes in how they approach foes. Sonic is kind, but he also easily resorts to fighting, while Amy is straight up the Heart of the group: she can fight, but she's also much more willing to listen. So we have those famous scenes of Amy asking Sonic to spare Gamma, and him relenting because he trusts Amy's judgement; Amy convincing Shadow to be kind to humanity; and Amy saving Sonic's life by talking to Silver.
Also don't forget about how Amy's campaign was all about protecting a Flicky! She's more personally nurturing than Sonic, in this sense. He's more about supporting friends, peptalks, short but sweet words. I haven't played Battle in ages, but from what I remember, their relationships with Emerl is the best example of what I mean. But together, they're both optimistic and hope bringers :)
Frontiers added another contrast between the two. Sonic is happy to help the Koco, but he's also worried that he may be wasting precious time that he could use to save Amy and Tails; Amy is horrified that Sonic would leave people in need. Interestingly, Sonic puts it as "you can't help anyone if you're stuck in limbo", because he knows how much Amy cares about that; it's not him putting his close friends above "strangers", it's allowing them to do what they do best. This is why I'm confused by the lesson that Amy "learns", that she needs to spread love around the world: she's already great at it!
So, I suppose that Sonic gives Amy the confidence that she needs, and we have seen how much Amy has grown throughout the series, going from a scared normal girl to a normal girl who can keep up with friends with superpowers and even lead a team. Amy gives Sonic another, more personable insight: sometimes, lending a ear and a hand is more important than fighting and running.
I honestly don't know if I gave you the answer you were looking for ^^'

9 and 15 for the fandom ask meme!
Hi~!^_^ Thank you for the fun Fandom Meme Asks! I’m sorry for the late reply to this. 9. Do you like prequels? I generally like prequels! I think it’s a great way to explore deeper into a series’ lore that hasn’t been fully explored before. One good example is  “ The Great Ace Attorney: The Adventure of Ryūnosuke Naruhodō”. It’s a Japan-only prequel to the Ace Attorney series staring Phoenix Wright’s ancestor and also has Sherlock Holmes set in the 19th century. There’s a English fan translation on Youtube, and enjoyed how well the story, the characters, etc. is done. I would like to see some other games have well-made prequels to help expand the universe of a series. 15. Does it bother you if a character shares the same name of someone you know well? Nope!^_^ When I was little, me and my brother used to own 5 cats. One of them was a black cat, who my brother named “Shadow”.

On Sonic and Amy's Relationship
An aspect of Sonic and Amy’s relationship that I’ve actually always really liked is whenever Sonic’s entirely caught off guard by Amy’s genuine affection.
I don’t mean whenever she’s physically affectionate, or whenever she exasperates him with her cheeky teasing because Sonic is more than well-adjusted and accepting of these behaviours. Rather, I mean whenever Amy slows down and does something to indicate or just tells him outright how much she loves him for him. The rarity of these moments, coupled with Sonic’s emotional privacy, tends to bring out rawer emotions like shock, bashfulness, and admiration. Moments like these are definitely more Sonic’s speed (ironically), and I feel this is why he’s more likely to show his reciprocation and “come around” (because he definitely is reciprocating, albeit not in the same way that Amy does). Sonic’s guard is struck down in these interactions, and his surprise and awe tend to speak for themselves.
I like to think that, in these moments, Sonic’s reminded that whatever he has with Amy is very real and very much not going anywhere, and I also enjoy how consistent of a trait/sequence this has been throughout the series.
Sonic X:
Episode 9, where Amy makes Sonic a good-luck charm to calm his phobia of water
Tumblr media
Episode 52, where Amy absolutely spills her heart out to Sonic (a first in the show and in the entire series, at this point)
Tumblr media
Episode 76, where Amy falls into the water sphere to be with him, no matter what happens
Tumblr media
Sonic Unleashed, where Amy's perception of Sonic really matters to him
quick shoutout to @latin-dr-robotnik for archiving all of Amy's dialogue in the game
Read more about Amy's impact on Sonic in Unleashed in my meta-analysis about Sonic's Ego Journey!
Tumblr media
I know we don’t see Sonic’s reaction to Amy’s dialogue, but a lot of his reactions are implied.
After beating Rooftop Run, day, Act 1
Tumblr media
I suppose it’s rather subjective, but I like to read this scene as Sonic checking out of the conversation (looking away, not responding) since Amy's flustered him. I say this because 1) it happens all the time in canon, honestly, and 2) this exact exchange happens twice throughout the game:
After beating Arid Sands Day, Act 1, though this time only available at night:
Tumblr media
I like to think that Amy’s support and softer flirting throughout the game encourages Sonic to take their relationship more seriously, because of course, the player is eventually allowed to do so:
Tumblr media
A cute lil bonus:
Tumblr media
IDW Sonic:
Issue 2, where Amy nonchalantly tells Sonic that she loves him, and he seems more phased by it than she does:
Tumblr media
In the previous issue, we establish that Sonic is open to company, period, when he asks if Tails wants to come, but it's more so out of a brotherly-looking-out kind of way.
Tumblr media
With Amy, however, it's a lot harder for him to ask that same question. He knows the true weight of it and exactly why he's asking. It's nerve-wracking and difficult, but Amy’s genuine love and acceptance of all of him makes him feel safe.
I think Sonic and Amy can have genuine moments of mutual attraction and bonding without it taking over the series and fundamentally changing Sonic’s current character.
I think about being in middle school or early high school (ages 12-15) and having mutual feelings with someone but knowing that you’re not ready for a relationship. Feelings are on the table and both parties know and understand the situation, but instead of being a couple, they’re just friends who love each other and (in a way) remain devoted to each other because they know that one day, they might be ready.
It’s subtle, pure, and sweet (alluding here and there to there being more private moments between them that the players don’t usually get to see) without being a canonical relationship.
These moments are genuinely few and far between in the franchise (which I think is by design), but I appreciate that they've been handled the same way every time. Consistency like this is what keeps me invested in the series and these hedgehogs. Wholesome.

Three random facts
I was tagged by @latin-dr-robotnik, thanks!
1. When I was 7 I used to read His Dark Materials by myself during recess. My teacher somehow got worried I wasn’t being social enough (and reading books that weren’t for my age) and asked to meet my mother. Just let me read books in peace please.
2. The first ever thing I wrote was a Mario fanfic called Super Princess Daisy, because I have zero originality and wanted to have fun. The second ever thing I wrote was a SonAmy fanfic that got maaaaany revamps from 2012 to circa 2016, and it’s what actually got me interested enough in writing to create original works and hopefully publish them in the future!
3. Hmm... I really can’t think of a third one. I’d really like to do a road trip in the US and visit the Grand Canyon.
Tagging @hot-topic-wannabe, @kiwiszified, @sonicfanj, and/or anyone who wishes to do it!

10 characters for 10 people
Awesome! Thanks @latin-dr-robotnik for the tag!
Quite interesting tag meme 🤔
1) Sonic the Hedgehog (Sonic Movie)
I’m gonna start with Sonic. My sweet and innocent bean. I ADORE how SEGA and Paramount gave Sonic FEELINGS. We saw him smile, cry and learn so many things throughout the movie. We were able to see who Sonic really is besides a hero.
Tumblr media
2) Knuckles the Echidna (Sonic the Hedgehog)
Knuckles is just simply up to duty. There’s only one thing he has to do in his life, ever. He DEDICATES his life to protect the master emerald, and even when he’s asked how does he benefit from watching over Angel Island, he answers with “it benefits everybody else” . He has a responsibility he DIDN’T choose to have; it was given to him and he accepted it for the sake of the world.
Yet, he’s always there when Sonic and friends need him.
Tumblr media
3) Shoya Ishida (A silent voice)
My favorite anime movie. Shoya was a bully, in fact, she bullied a deaf girl just because he hated being bored. Yes, he was a BIG ASSHOLE. I even hated him in the beginning, A LOT.
But his character development was huge.
When he tried to say that he wasn’t the only one who bullied Shouko, everybody turned against him; he received the exact bullying that he gave to her. It got as bad that he felt rejected from life.
He later meets with Shouko and tries his best to compensate everything he did to her. He even nearly died for her.
This is about redemption, and the ability to change who you are by not just starting over, but fixing your mistakes.
Tumblr media
4) Shouko Nishimiya (A Silent Voice)
Had ALL THE RIGHTS to resent against Shoya for ruining big part of her childhood but she didn’t, she didn’t hate anybody who hurt her. She actually thought it was HER fault. In her old school, the students AND the professor thought she was “slowing everybody down”. They all had to learn sign language for her or explain what was happening because she didn’t have the ability to do that
Tumblr media
4) Nana (Elfen Lied)
(Context) Even though this anime is graphic, what I really like about it is the plot. People hurt and killed Diclonius for being different, yet it’s the DICLONIUS’ fault for becoming the monsters humans told them they were. You start thinking about who the real monsters are.
Nana is a sweet, kind and innocent girl who was tortured because she was born a Diclonius. Everything she wanted was his “father”’s approval. She even thought that was all happiness was about.
(Short hair)
Tumblr media
5) Legosi (Beastars)
He’s the big bad wolf of the story, just that... he isn’t. He’s a predator but he doesn’t want to harm anybody. He has great conflict with himself because he fears that the reason he fell in love with a rabbit was because he wants to eat her.
Tumblr media
6) Kyoko & Misako (River City Girls)
Just two ordinary teenagers but these two are surprisingly good as protagonists. Throughout the game, they are realistic and logical, which is funny. Really charming characters
Tumblr media
7) Eri (My Hero Academia)
Her mother gave her away for accidentally killing her father at REALLY young age when her quirk developed. She’s really innocent and unsure what she wants in life. Eri has close to no kindness shown to her; she didn’t know how to smile until she met amorío and Demi. There’s SO MUCH ROOM for her personality to develop.
Tumblr media
8) John Coffey (The Green Mile)
I’m currently reading the book and honestly I really like John Coffey. He is a tall, strong and black man who was sentenced to death for the murder of two little girls. The police didn’t bother going deeper in the case since by just looking at him, you can blame him for their murder. He’s also seen as monster when ironically, he’s the representation of life and kindness.
(No picture because Tumblr is dumb)
9) Daniel and Steve (Hawaii 5-0)
Hilarious show. I really like their relationship regardless how different they are. Daniel is sarcastic while Steve is more of taking action to his hands. I honestly can’t decide between both because they are the perfect duo.
Tumblr media
10) Karma Akabane (Assassination Classroom)
A smart student who wants to be intimidated by everybody. He tried to show this “cold” side but actually cares. Also, he’s funny.
I cannot put it into words, you gotta watch the anime
Tumblr media
Finally, I tag @angie-random-blog @animated-aries @niyana-the-ambiguous-mobian @axisthewolf @the-brucest-fan @darklightheart @infernoindigo @allmyfandomneeds @tharkflark1 and of course, anybody else who wants to do it, just tag me! :)

Hey remember that ask about how IDW SonAmy would progress in the comics? It’s me again :D (Thank you soooo much for that whole essay I had a BLAST reading it) Basically same question, except Frontiers shook me all the way with the character development between Sonic and Amy in the MAINLINE GAMES. What’s your view of the future of those two with Ian Flynn as the writer? :D
Oh! Long time no see! I still remember that one ask, it was a great exploration of the future of their dynamic after they seemed to reach such a stable point. I haven't checked the comics since... issue 40 something? Were there any SonAmy moments since that ask? I'm very out of the loop.
I'll just set up a line break to not clutter every dashboard with my many thoughts.
Anyway, yes! Frontiers SonAmy! I'm still thinking a lot about it and looking for more evidence. I have played the game, but I'm currently searching for Sonic's secret monologues about Amy, especially the umbrella one and "Amy... I wish I made up my mind sooner". I even installed a mod to reduce the time it takes for Sonic to talk (from 10 minutes to 3 minutes), so I'm in the middle of the research process for a video going full analysis mode on the dynamic. BUT! I can spare some thoughts!
First of all, there are some things that I think we have to accept from Frontiers:
The game is setting up a new direction for the franchise, and for a good part of its runtime it acknowledges all past interactions and events in Sonic's history, before attempting to add its own flavor on top.
It seems this future plan is going to shake up the main cast substantially. Judging by the ending, the main cast is gonna go their own separate ways for a while, and I wouldn't be surprised if the next game has some even bigger character changes. It's gonna be controversial, but that feels like the direction Flynn and Sonic Team are going towards.
With all of this in mind, let's delve into the future of mainline SonAmy:
Sonic Frontiers is like IDW Sonic #2, but reversed: This is my main takeaway from the game, and it all comes from that one scene where Amy talks about sharing her love with the world. The game likes to hint that Amy was profoundly impacted by the death of the Kocos, the one species that, when helped fulfill their last wish, liberate the "soul" of its original owner, since it's revealed in Ouranos Island that the Koco were meant to be just lucky charms, and shouldn't have kept the memories and (presumably) spirits of the Ancients that died fighting The End. Amy wants to help everyone, especially those who seem to be tormented souls that won't get any rest until their final wishes are completed. This sets up the main drama with Sonic's point of view, and gives us our very first revelation.
Now, why "IDW Sonic #2 but reversed"? Back then, we saw Amy fully express her love and devotion to Sonic, showing that she loves him for what he is, and she won't change it. She'll also have her own priorities, and won't just blindly follow Sonic if there's somewhere else where she's needed. In Frontiers, it's Sonic who reveals that he appreciates Amy for what she is, and he wants her to be safe first and foremost. He won't stop her from going across the world spreading all her love to those who need it, he actually encourages her and tells her he'll wait for her to come back and tell him everything. For someone like Sonic, this feels as close to a full "I love you" we're ever gonna get, and it's delivered in such a chill and casual way.
The future of these two looks brighter than ever: some scumbag dared telling me "you must be crying because there's no SonAmy at all in Frontiers" and I was like "did you actually play the game?" Sonic is perfectly chill around Amy, and he seems more open than ever to learn more about her and just be together. They're reaching what I called my "golden status" back in the day: going on adventures, being around each other, just having a great time. Frontiers casually dropped some bombshells on us, and while I wouldn't get behind this exact conclusion unironically, I love that our SonAmy friends over at Twitter looked at their scenes and literally posted "Yup, they're clearly dating now".
Tumblr media
What's next? It seems like Amy's outbursts of love towards Sonic are being downplayed in main canon now, following this trend that started in Boom and continued in IDW Sonic. This is already a pretty controversial topic, and I think it's not gonna go away anytime soon. The future under Ian Flynn's pen and Sonic Team's supervision seems to be one where Sonic and Amy go into this weird "but are they actually dating each other or not?" state. Their interactions are gonna be more and more casual and less wacky than back in the 2000's, and the teasing is probably gonna be more subtle than ever, because they won't outright confirm they're dating, but at the same time they want us to suspect something is happening behind the scenes.
And, like Greeny pointed out recently, there's a chance we might be heading into a canon timeskip that'll change characters and possible even age them up. I've had similar suspicions after watching the first post-credits scene but... idk yet, if it happens it'll probably affect Sonic and Amy's dynamic a lot.
Like I said, I'm still in the research phase of my SonAmy Frontiers analysis, but those cutscenes and monologues... I don't know... they got me thinkin', y'know? They do be looking very sus!

Given what we’ve seen of Frontiers, maybe the relationship between Sonic and Amy is going to be challenged?
I'm... unsure about what they'll do with their relationship in the game.
Realistically speaking, I'm expecting more teasing than in previous mainline games (current expectations: Unleashed-levels of teasing), but there's also something awfully angsty about recent stuff they've shown. That CGI trailer scene, I'm Here's video highlighting "In my hands I hold the ones I love" and "new horizons" with blue and pink specifically. I have absolutely ZERO arguments for Vandalize being a "SonAmy song" (though I love the fact the fandom accepted it as such and created legendary pieces of art like this one), but I can't stop thinking about how it would fit after a dramatic ending. It'd be highly unusual for a modern mainline game to end on a note different from "well, we beat the baddies and everything's back to normal, onward to the next adventure!", but I swear I have no idea what to expect out of this game, and I have this lingering feeling it might not be your usual happy ending. The reason? They chose to use Vandalize as the ENDING THEME. Something's up here, Vandalize ain't a happy song, and it wasn't picked just to fit a collab slot, it has the Starfall Islands' motif, for fuck's sake. That fucking song is important, and it's making me LOSE MY HEAD OVER IT.
Anyway, yes, SonAmy Frontiers. I have no idea how much of this is going to be SonAmy-exclusive, since at the very least there's still Tails and Knuckles (and probably Eggy too?) to rescue and they'll be just as relevant to the story, but there's something rotten in here, and I'm starting to question if it's gonna be all sunshine and rainbows for them.
So, maybe Sonic and Amy's relationship will be challenged, because maybe things won't end in a very triumphant way this time. So far Sonic doesn't seem to be very bothered by anything, maybe he'll fuck up big time, maybe that'll cost him his friends. Maybe that'll set up a sequel or a series that already mentioned a "journey of self-discovery and redemption".

Hi, since you have helped spread the KnuxAmy agenda I shall awaken from the dead this one time and ask you SonAmy for the shipping game 😏
Ohhh my Wicked Wild, little dino, cookie queen, the reason why I like KnuxAmy, I shall pay you with cake for this honor.
(I'm actually surprised nobody asked about SonAmy, like, that is what most of my followers come searching for lmao still love you guys, we're almost 500 here)
What made you ship it? This scene. Bah, not that dub of course, but I always tell the tale of how I was a 7 or 8 year old kid playing the Genesis games and suddenly I saw that anime that had a cute pink hedgehog in love with Sonic, and he... didn't seem against the idea? Like, he pushed her away a couple of times, but then they had other cute moments together... and that scene? Sign me up, this ship has sailed and we're still on board to this day!
What are your favorite things about the ship? The chemistry. Even when they're just being good friends or even when Sonic is kinda running away, they have such a strong chemistry, especially now with the ways they're being portrayed. They're great friends, they bounce off each other's personalities so well, they know the other by heart (Sonic may not say it aloud, but he knows Amy as much as she knows him; he'll constantly remember her at random points in his adventures, like that Dark Guardian fight in Unleashed). They'll risk their own lives for each other and fight for what they know is the right thing to do. And that's all going by their current friendship! As a couple, they'd be unstoppable, and I'm all up for exploring that.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? A VERY BIG ONE, and one targeted to both the SonAmy fandom and haters alike: guys, Sonic can take a break. He can slow down, relax and appreciate the little things - he's not "can't stop, gotta go fast!" 100% of the time. You can't force him to "settle down permanently" with Amy, but that doesn't mean they are incompatible. Amy loves adventures together as much as staying in one place and Sonic may need a place to come back to and chill out. It's a balance, and they can reach it.

It may be, it may not be but until the contrary is proven Vandalize is a Sonamy song for me: v
I love how the SonAmy fandom in general unanimously decided Vandalize is a SonAmy song the very minute it dropped. I remember being on my Discord server, trying to figure out the lyrics with my friends when they started picking up "vandalize my heart" and "you're fricking crazy hate me love you" and going "THIS IS SONAMY? OKAY THIS IS SONAMY ANGST MATERIAL"
30 minutes later you could find lots of SonAmy art on Twitter with the lyrics. We all share the same braincell haha
I'm intrigued by how the song is going to fit in the context of Frontiers' ending. What kind of final cutscene is waiting for us this November? Is it going to pack a real emotional punch? I keep telling my friends this, but it's the first time since I'm in the fandom that I don't know what to expect out of the game, and this is equal parts exciting and terrifying.
At least we know SonAmy Frontiers is real, heh

What do you think the next Sonic game should be about?
Please... PLEASE let it be a full game based on some kind of megacity or something, especially if it's a new metropolis built by Eggman.
I've gone about this a ton of times in the past, but now that Frontiers is out and proved the open zone is actually a good idea, I'd love to see them try a denser environment, one that better blends old 3D level design conventions with the open zone freedom.
Eggman has built or taken over a massive metropolis with several districts you have to explore and liberate, just like the islands in Frontiers. Each district is part of the same city but at the same time they're different enough from each other in aesthetics and mechanics. You may have your regular futuristic looking district, followed by some sort of "Egg Gardens" area, a casino/carnival district, maybe even some sort of underground/ancient ruins district buried under the city. Everywhere you look you see Eggman's face, colors and logos, and it's your job to do enough damage to tear it all down and face down each big boss controlling the districts. Now that I think about it, sounds kinda like what we expected out of Sonic Forces.
I think the open zone worked well in Frontiers, but the natural environments and sometimes their sheer size fought a bit against the floating rails and platforms. A more contained and condensed environment could probably make those bits of level design flow better and extract a lot more out of Sonic's movement options.
Imagine the final district is Eggmanland but open zone. I'd pay big bucks for that.

The whole message at the end of tmos really got to me. I have many childhood friends that have drifted apart and i miss them.
Yeah, it's one of the toughest things one has to accept when it comes to friendships, and I appreciate they took some time from the game to tackle it and treat it seriously. Yeah, the game is a joke overall, but that last stretch wasn't, and I'm glad for that.
Just this year alone I've had to deal with several situations of friends drifting apart, fighting and some of them just up and vanishing from your life, and... well, just like the game said, we gotta accept it, move on and cherish the memories together. Maybe we'll reunite later in our lives, but we can't force a sentiment that's not there anymore, and life is so unpredictable in general, it'll take us to unexpected places.
Kinda reminded me of Sonic telling Merlina we have to live our lives to the fullest in the time we have.

My thoughts on the true final boss can be summed as: "I'll have Forces Mega Death Egg Robot back please"
The novelty of "oh those alien invader mini games were for this" wears off fast XD.
also it comes off as tryhard. Where is my Eggman ham, I do not want this slab of rock.
Yeah, I told all my friends that I'd rather get the Nega Wisp Armor for the fourth consecutive time before a damn minigame as a final boss.
Sonic Team. Guys. Please. The one rule about final bosses is that they should be built off what the player learned throughout the game. Playing Ikaruga for a hacking minigame doesn't count as a valid mechanic to reuse for a "true" final boss.
Tbh I was starting to feel a bit worried when I saw they reused the hacking minigame twice in the last island, it kinda raised a yellow flag in my mind for a minigame that I thought would be a one-off in Chaos Island. I don't dislike bullet hell games, but I'm not interested in playing them when I'm busy with Sonic, let alone in the climax.
Oh, another thing I hated was the fact they used the The End's theme in one of those gameplay trailers from a while ago, and it didn't take me long to realize that and feel so much more underwhelmed.
I mentioned to another friend that maybe, just maybe, if The End was a better fight with a more developed backstory, then we'd forgive the fact Supreme is meh. But since it all comes from left field and in the most rushed way possible I've seen in a Sonic game since... I can't even remember when, Supreme being meh and The End being insulting almost took down the entire experience for me. Not even the "extra lore" was worth it, like, she talked about cyberspace being the dimension created to contain her? What else? Can't remember, it was so bland.
They ran out of ideas around Chaos, but holy crap they ran out of steam so hard in the last island, it's astonishing.

hey, there’s a story written by @cutegirlmayra im looking for :( it’s been a while but it was so good. in it, sonic leaves in the snow i think? and amy moves on with her life somewhat. after waiting for him and giving up. some years pass and sonic is back and she works as a waitress and he dresses up as to not be recognized. she’s not pleased obviously. after that he confesses his feelings and i remember this line that went along the lines of “the moment you cried when your flowers died” sonic reveals he had been watching over her all those years and she forgives him? please help! i’m so desperate :( could you help me?
I read this a day or two ago and since then I've been thinking about it a lot. I remember the exact fic you're looking for, but where do we start searching Mayra's vast archive? :P
Anyway, after searching around for a bit and trying to keep myself from crying after revisiting such old memories, I found it:
“I ran to your window in the deepest of nights, staring in and making sure you were alright. Some days I watched from a distance to see you lose your first job. The moment you cried when your garden died.”
I can't believe it's been almost 5 years since that prompt! Back then I wasn't running this blog in particular, but I was around Mayra's stuff and you bet I READ IT THE VERY DAY IT WAS POSTED. That 2016-2018 era was my absolute favorite, every day I would check for new prompts and stuff, lots of incredible stories.
Anyway, thanks for the trip down memory lane, Anon. It's been years since I last read that prompt, and HOOOLY crap I forgot a lot of details, it was like reading it for the first time all over again, and feeling the same things too.
(Also, shout-out to Timeless Game, I revisited it while searching for that prompt and my goodness it's still one of my all-time favorites, period. I still remember the first night I read it)

Have you seen the latest Sonic Station Live with subtitles? Sonic and Amy are so sweet to each other <3 I love how SoJ handles their relationship. They are cute <3
I saw it was available with subs but haven't checked it yet. Though I'm mostly up to date with the Sonic Station Live, and they're absolutely nailing the dynamic, as usual :P
The thing I'm really liking is that they aren't afraid of hinting at dates and possible feelings being involved, and that's usually the "catch" with these episodes. But even outside moments like that, Sonic is overall super positive towards Amy, has nothing but good things to say about her, and she'll react pretty surprised about it. Their cat and mouse moments are balanced pretty nicely with chill moments showing what the characters really think and feel, how Sonic appreciates her as his best friend. Amazing stuff.
I'll have to see if I missed any interactions worth noting :P
(Speaking of Sonic being nice to Amy, where's the next TailsTube from the Western side? We need the Amy episode, guys, Sonic already said in the first episode that she's a key part of the team, and Frontiers is three to four months away from release, c'mon.)
