Is his relation to the original Mewtwo what Mo was about to admit to Randy before the lab exploded? His anger as he destroys the lab computers certainly makes more sense now.
I don't know if he would've revealed his relation to him or not, but he was hoping to bring it up at least.
Yeah, he was... not happy...
There's more in that grin than just what he's saying in the moment.

The Arcana HCs: Lucio's Birthday
~ we interrupt our regular programming to bring you headcanons for Lucio's birthday as today is, in fact, January 13th. please, enjoy :) - brainrot ~
You're about to encounter something difficult enough to require weeks of planning
How do you plan a birthday celebration for someone who thrives on massive parties, but who also currently lives a nomadic lifestyle and is partially exiled from your hometown???
The answer: you spend well over two months preparing, and then hope that Lucio will be okay with this kind of event not happening every single year
You keep track of the names of the different adventurers you've partnered with over time, and leave messages and letters for them at the different towns you pass through with an invitation
You also negotiate with a town you pass through frequently to lend you the use of their square for a day or two. The townspeople know you better than most after all the jobs you've done for them
And then, for the month leading up to it, you have to both save money to throw the party with and lead you both back towards said town without arousing any suspicion
Two days beforehand, you hit the outskirts and convince Lucio to stay in a rundown barn at the edge of town instead of going in and seeing everyone who's shown up to celebrate
The next morning, you hand him the one-person job listing that you and the inn manager came up with to keep him busy out in the forest while you set up
To say he's less than excited after spending the night in a pile of hay is an understatement. Especially since you're not coming with him! Really, MC?
After he goes pouting off into the woods, you meet up with everyone who's made it in the town square. You set up tables, a bonfire, coordinate with your friends, and grab some supplies
Said supplies are to make the rundown barn a little cozier to make up for forcing Lucio to stay there yet another night when a perfectly comfortable inn is less than a mile away
Lucio comes back as the sun is setting with the wild boar he was commissioned to hunt and a pair of kicked wet puppy eyes that make your heart twist in your chest
Thankfully, the bedding and lanterns you brought back help to make up for it. The barn is filled with a cozy, warm glow as you start a pillow fight in the hay and eat dinner on the folded quilts
You stay up late with him that night, reminiscing on all the adventures you've had together and talking about a beautiful future for the two of you
When it hits midnight, you pull out a tiny cake for two and a candle and wish him happy birthday as his eyes light up from the treat
It's a beautiful thing to see how much he's grown. In the past, it would have taken a week of festivities and a mountain of presents to pass as satisfactory
Now his hair is shining golden and rumpled full of straw in the low lantern light, and he's savoring every bite of his cupcake on the floor of an old barn with a completely contented look on his face
You want to give him better, and you are giving him better, and it's made even sweeter by knowing it's something he doesn't expect
The least enjoyable part of the adventure is waking up at the crack of dawn and sneaking away while Lucio sleeps so you can haul the wild boar into town to be prepped for tonight's feast
You're able to catch a couple more hours of sleep, but by midday, Lucio is up and raring to enjoy his birthday
He's a little surprised when you ask to blindfold him (and even more surprised when, after you do, you take him on a long walk instead of back to bed)
When you finally give him his sight back, he's standing in the middle of the town square, surrounded by all the people he's worked next to and worked to benefit with the biggest grins
Yeah, he's used to being worshiped as the count with the big parties, but he's not used to a small crowd of people he respects showing up because they like him for who he is
He's going to cry. He's going to try to hide it. He's going to do a terrible job of hiding it. You're going to have eyeliner smudged on your shirt sleeves
The party is a roaring success. Your own budgeting aside, your party guests have chipped in where they can to make sure that food and wine flow freely all evening and night
(Bringing gifts would have only been inconvenient, with the traveler's lifestyle you two have)
And the shout of laughter that goes up when Lucio recognizes the roast beast slowly turning over the fire as the boar he was packed off to hunt is so loud it leaves your ears ringing
There's dancing, story swapping, strength competitions, and some of the bawdiest songs you've ever heard. And, of course, your partner, right in the middle of the fun and having the time of his life
Thanks to your late morning, you're able to party through the night and lead him back to your reserved room at the inn (finally! a bed!) just as dawn approaches
Your true birthday gift is the week off of jobs at a rented cottage that you spent the rest of your budget on. Lucio's so excited to spend a week being lazy that it almost keeps him from sleeping

I’m a horrible person bc after the vamp!Soap x Ghost conclusion, I immediately thought about how they can stay together forever & my 2 solutions are:
Soap turns Ghost
Ghost becomes a ghost when he dies
oops
i believe. they try to avoid thinking/talking about it for as long as possible until there’s just no more time to discuss anymore, and the solution just happens. as in, ghost is fatally wounded in the field, and soap couldn’t bear to go on living (if that’s what he could even call it) without him, so in a fit of impulse he turns ghost because no, this is not how it ends.
ghost gets royally pissed about it at first, because he had it in his head that he would just die, he’s already had his second chance—but here he is instead, with a newfound hunger for blood, and immortality to boot. eventually he does get over it, though, because it means being able to continue being with soap.

once upon a time, it was a family. a mother and a father, and you were married in a church, before the sight of God.
so,
he was nothing, and you see it hit morse like a blow; it's the breaking point. and he almost tells thursday *exactly* who the man he killed was, or rather, had been. but mercy prevails and he falls back on their shorthand, their talisman, the guiding light that was supposed to make the work they do worth it: he was someone's son.
but not mine, says thursday.
it's the final, unknowing cruelty.
morse has boundless empathy and believes in justice for the dead, but maybe he also can't stop imagining himself in their place. the detail he couldn't let drop in the andrew lewis case, which he mentions at least twice in the final episode: he was just a boy looking for his mother.
everybody is someone's something -- except morse, of course. how many times throughout the series have people asked, both to each other and to morse directly: what's keeping him in oxford? he has no family, no ties. he's the odd man out ("same as always" -- thanks jakes). as if all this wasn't enough emphasis, the killer in this episode even selects morse to be his next victim -- for convenience sake, sure, but it also happens to place him as the latest in a line of, to his mind, dangerous outliers to decent society.
morse is no one's son. and we see him realize how much that counts for, in the end.
we here on tumblr reply insistently: he has people! he has friends! but his people, that kind of love, is discounted by the world of the show and honestly, often our own as well. what we're left with, us the audience and morse the doomed figure is only

I love your post about jokes. No one ever laughs at my jokes except me and now I get to make even more >:)
i think i came off as pretty stubborn and snide in that post and i kind of feel bad about it! i think it's important not to dig your heels in and take it personally if people don't think you're funny. it can really rub them the wrong way because it sets a precedent of, essentially, not listening to people or their feedback. i think good improv and a quick wit is a muscle that can be exercised and strengthened like any other skill. i really do workshop my bits! and i take pride in being able to make people laugh pretty easily these days, regardless of audience and venue, so to speak.
this isn't to say you should be a total people-pleaser, but rather that (as with any other social activity) telling jokes is a two-way street, and i think showing people that you're willing to meet them where they're at and make them laugh with jokes that suit them is a very beneficial skill that will get you much further in life than insisting on only catering to your own hyperspecific tastes.
in other words:

🍭🧡🖤❤️🔥🧸sorrrrry that's a whole heck of a lot but i just got carried away... for antoine and zelda please!!
MAM I am honored. Happens that I’m in a Zelda/Antoine mood. I do wonder why that could be…
🍭 What's something they can never agree on (big or small)?
….Violette. That’s all imma say on that 🙊
🧡 Who said 'I love you' first?
Honestly? Great question. Like these two went from longing, to deeply in love, to “welp I guess we’re living together and eternally soulmates now” without ever uttering how they felt. Feels pretty on brand for them, doesn’t it?
But looking back on it now, I absolutely have no doubt that this is when Antoine first told her he loved her (because of course his emotions would get the better of his stoicism first)…
Although this is the moment that he knew he loved her…
And when she realized that she loved him…. 😭
🖤 What is their biggest regret in their relationship so far (or in the future, if you don't mind giving spoilers)?
Oh baby you already know. Antoine so very deeply regrets how he handled things at the end of the 1920s, more specifically damn near every choice he made from when he let Zelda go to England alone to turning down Giorgio’s original offer to buy the farm out West. He’s fully convinced himself that if he had made that jump at the right moment, he could have actually sold the jazz club for some fraction of what it was worth, and they wouldn’t be in such a precarious monetary situation as they are in now.
Y’all just keep this in mind because it will weigh on him forever. It will influence his choices both good and bad. His willingness to talk to Zelda but also sacrifice for her if he thinks it’s what she wants/needs because he’ll regret that forever. My boy simply doesn’t know any other way.
As far as Zelda? I don’t think it’s so much that she’s more forgiving of herself, but that’s she’s worked through some of the mistakes she’s made with Antoine, like ignoring his pain and over relying on him emotionally during the first stages of their relationship when she was generally much more immature. She’s made efforts to counteract that, so I don’t think she sees it as a regret any longer. Now in the future though…. 👀
❤️🔥 Which one is more adventurous in the bedroom? Which one has more experience?
Come on now, we know this one has gotta go to Antoine. I wouldn’t so much say adventurous, just because I don’t think either of them would fall under the umbrella of how I think of that term. Mostly because even though Antoine is much more experienced, he had never had sex with someone he loved before; so his primarily concern was always making sure Zelda was comfortable, even when one could say he was moving her into elements of herself that may be considered more “adventurous” for the time period. Y’all can use y’all imaginations and reference today’s spice post for the rest thank you very much 😌
🧸 BONUS! Include one of your favorite moments between them!
One?! One!! Well now that’s just cruel. Come on it’s love day! How about a montage instead?
