We had a letter wash up on our shores some time ago, and thought it would be in good spirits to reach out and bring something in return.

[Oscar was aware of how their species appeared to others, and wanted to take all precautions necessary. Considering they were also in Unova, he knows of some... unsavory history regarding Darkrai in the region.]

[The two Darkrai then lay down a blanket and some miniature cobblers on a plate, carefully placed on a rock close by before stepping back a respectable distance.]

I hope some smaller ones are fine! Much easier to handle if you're traveling around, or even want to share with anyone.

[The younger Darkrai chimed in, peeking around his father.]

The blanket is made of that one kind of fabric, the one that changes when you move it whatever way! My tio told me that teal is a bit like the sea water, and it was a little hard to pick one shade... so we got fabric that could be anything like your favorite color!

He doesn't seem keen on answering the first question at the moment, so he addresses the second. "I wouldn't be comfortable with something that didn't cover my full head, so I would never settle for a mask. And something made of leaves would...decay, and would thus need frequent replacing. This sock is easy to put on, it covers my full head, and being human-made, it's durable." He explains.

"We've offered to make a false skull for him to wear in the past." The Smeargle speaks up. "But...well, I shouldn't speak for you, Nobone."

"Hm...yes, they have. But I see that as hiding from what happened to me, and I have no intention of doing that. This...is who I am now, and it matters." He lets out a sigh, and doesn't elaborate further.
