A trip to MAROON BELLS #TheDeadlyBells
The maroon Bells are two peaks in the Elk Mountains the maroon peak and north maroon peak bound by the maroon lake itself…this ravishing scene has been keeping fans of photography on their toes for quite some time now. Attracting about 300,000 every season it has facilities of bus transport to the maroon lake. The roads surrounding and to the Bells are always CLOSED during the winter…..Don’t be the guilty one
Places to visit in the surrounding area:
Crater Lake — need to trek up the mountain (Ski poles would be a huge favour to have in handy)
Willow Lake — A refreshing site to be at
Dexer camping ground — a rocky coast with a vast view to the Twin Lakes Reservoir
DON’T FORGET YOUR SUNSCREEN PLEASE:)

Leaves make for wonderful eco-prints on textile & paper to create beautiful natural designs in any season. Enhance your print with the help of an iron blanket (carrier blanket) to add a gorgeous background color and soft black outlines. Join me as I forage for aspen leaves in Central Idaho and fallen maple leaves in Washington to explore the interaction of tannins and iron in the dye studio. This tutorial will show you how to prepare fiber with a tannin mordant, make an iron blanket and create a beautifully designed autumn leaf eco-print on both silk and cotton. You are sure to be inspired to step into the natural printmaking world.
