Diavolo: You seem exhausted. Why not take some rest here?
Barbatos: You can sit on my lap and maybe take a nap as well.
Lucifer and Diavolo: ...
MC: I'll take that offer. Thank you. *goes to actually sit on his lap, facing him*
Diavolo: Uh... I think we need to give them some privacy, Lucifer.
Lucifer: You should've just given them a room!

Assassin au... how does the MC react to finding out about her assassins? Dose she meet them?
Sans: She meets him before she realises he’s an assassin. He’s her friendly, down-to-earth neighbour after all, who never makes too much noise and always has a smile for her... always starting conversations and saying nice things about the articles she writes. Telling stupid jokes that make her giggle. She probably has a little bit of a crush on him, especially since he’s using a personality for her that he’s constantly editing to be specifically to her tastes. He wants her to see him as a friend.
... Despite Sans actively trying to sabotage her finding out anything more about the particular underworld she’s gotten in trouble with, at the end of the day she’s still a nosy a journalist who had a hit put on her for knowing too much. Her toxic trait is she figures things out, and eventually she’d connect the dots. She tries to play it cool, but he immediately knows when she’s clocked what he is... their interactions become a little dance of her trying not appear nervous, as in her head ‘him knowing she knows’ = ‘him killing her off’.
Not that he’d admit it, but he enjoys their new game- watching her quietly flail during their casual conversations, she’s so cute. He likes seeing how far he can push with his friendliness until she buckles and visibly exhibits fear. Adorable.
Red: Course she meets him pre-realising he’s an assassin, he’s an outrageous flirt who knows where she likes to go to have fun. He made himself a regular at the bars she enjoys, and has hit on her several times with moderate success. He wore a suit out, once, just to see her reaction... she liked it so much he’s hoping that if she ends up having to see him in his work suit she won’t be so dismayed.
Finding out he’s an assassin is strange because unlike Sans, who finds it fun/cute to watch her scrambling, Red is weirdly open about why he’s there as soon as he can tell she knows. He tells her he was hired to kill her because she was nosy but changed his mind because ‘your lil’ face is just too cute’... the hell does that mean? Why is she flushed? She’s got no idea what to think about him, he’s so casual, there’s no way he can be telling the truth when the truth is so insane. There’s no way this easygoing, charming guy with smouldering eyes (that she got close to falling for) is the terrifying sadistic assassin she’s been reading about.
Just like Sans, he enjoys her fear and confusion a bit too much to not indulge himself. He likes to give her cryptic clues about whatever she’s investigating, just to see her face screw up as she processes his words.
Skull: The first time she ever actually meets Skull is when everything kicks off. Another assassin breaks into her apartment and attempts on her life, the bounty is just too large for some people to resist despite them knowing the skeleton trio are on it- Red and Sans step in, and the violent way they dispatch the intruder terrifies her. But before they can start talking to her, or try to convince her they mean no harm, the windows shatter and sniper bullets pepper the walls where their heads were. Mc flees the scene... and Skull intervenes, scooping her up and getting her out of there.
Skull’s silence is strangely comforting, after the insanity she’s just been through. He feels strong and reliable, his marksmanship is clearly unparalleled, and he only opens his mouth to promise he’ll protect her. The other two are tricksters who confuse and tease her but there’s nothing to be confused about with this giant... he’s going to keep her safe, that’s all she needs to know.

I wanna do this post justice because it deserves it but also I just wanna scream incoherently as well.

So now I’m gonna attempt a coherent thought. Wish me luck.
This art came about when I made an offhand comment about this painting in some tags (because I’m a geek about this stuff and Baroque art in particular). The artwork above is based on Judith Slaying Holofernes by Artemisia Gentileschi.
I’ve had it in my head for sooooo long that we needed some art based on this with MC and her bestie taking care of things Richards because no one else is doing anything, nor do they seem inclined to. Sometimes ladies see things that need doing and they just gotta do what they gotta do.
Things need doing and so we do ‘em!!
I always thought the original painting by Artemisia is perfect for this story because MC and Briar don’t give up like the rest of them do. They refuse to resign themselves to their supposed fate and take matters into their own hand. Plus, if you take Artemisia’s own personal history into account, this art as a model for Desire and Decorum MC is perfect.
Artemisia was unable to truly get revenge on the men (one in particular) in her life that sought to use her and so she took well-known stories of women and gave them a new life through her paintings, a realistic one.
Whereas her male counterparts in the art world chose to depict these same women as helpless or even intrigued and accepting of the unwanted advances of gross old men, Artemisia depicted these woman as the victims they truly were or in the case of the above art, depicted the women as their own heroes. Because she learned the lesson well, you can rely on yourself but not your family or those you should be able to trust. Plus you have to admire an artists that breaks tradition and show women that are not the helpless creatures men seem to think they are.
To see this art come to life with MC and Briar is beyond exciting and to see it come to life soooo well is beyond thrilling. Thia, I hope you realize the talent you have!! The things talked most about in art history regarding this work by Artemisia (beyond her history) are the masterful use of chiaroscuro and the tension in the figures. It takes a helluva lot of force to severe a head and so many artists fail to accomplish portraying the strength and sheer force it takes to so such. You have managed both the masterful use of light and shadow and portrayed both MC and Briar absolutely killing it!!

In my opinion, the last two (about Reinhardt and Cale) were the most normal ones, the second one was abnormal because of the context in which Burren thought this.

I have some headcanons for the MLP x AC crossover!
I think for the MLP x AC crossover, Desmond would be an alicorn like the princess ponies. I could see him with flowy hair like Celestia and with a similar cutie mark.
I could see Altaïr and Ezio being pegasus ponies with eagle wings. Altaïr would have a Hidden Blade or a book as his cutie mark because he searches for knowledge. Ezio would have the Auditore crest or an Eagle because of his loyalty to family.
I could see pony! Ezio, Altaïr, and Desmond having to team up to defeat Discord, who is likely the offspring of the Isu.
What's your opinion on these ideas?

The initial My Little Pony AU idea (well, Desmond's initial pony design anyway) for those curious.
I was thinking “yeah, I can’t draw that many ponies XD” and I remember I actually knew someone who could.
So here’s @scrysthea’s work based on nonny’s and my ideas.
I included Ratonhnhaké:ton because if we’re going to make them ponies, let’s give the ‘complete set’ (sorry, Edward.)
I kinda like the idea that Desmond is a successor to their ‘ruler’ (whether this ruler is Amunet or an unknown pony is up to you) but he doesn’t like being the successor because everyone expect too much of him.
Altaïr, Ezio and Ratonhnhaké:ton are his childhood friends turned guards so there’s a bit of conflict there. Like, Desmond has been with them for so long that he trusts them fully but the countless times other ponies had seen him as not living up to the high standards they expect from a successor had shattered his self-esteem. He tries to hide it by smiling and ignoring it but there’s always a whisper in his mind that questions if they care for him because they like him or his ‘failures’ had made them think of him as more of a burden that needs to be protected because it’s their duty.
Of course, that could be farther from the truth and they had been the one to insist that they be Desmond’s guards, knowing how much their friend had suffered from the eyes of strangers who think of him as a successor, not a child being given too much burden.
I kinda like the idea that Desmond’s alicorn form is ‘hidden’ and the form I drew before with Desmond wearing a hoodie is what he usually looks like. His low self-esteem sorta hindered his growth and he wears a hood because he believes he has no horn (that’s not true. It’s just a bit too little right now).
And that’s why the ruler decided that Desmond should go on a quest!
“A quest to find the kind of ruler you wish to be.”
………. and also because Discord needs to be beaten again.
The ruler has complete trust that Desmond would succeed and find the path he wishes to take.
Desmond agrees because it wasn’t like he can actually say no to their ruler.
He also makes the ruler agree that, if Desmond loses to Discord or if he returns after defeating Discord but not knowing what kind of ruler he wants to become, the ruler must pick another successor. (he even gives the name of his guards as his replacement because, in his eyes, they’re better choices that he could ever be).
The ruler agrees and Desmond sets out on his quest with his guards (who didn’t know about the ‘deal’ he and the ruler have).
During their quests, they meet other ponies and, away from the scrutinizing eyes of the other ponies that was surrounding him growing up, Desmond slowly starts to realize that he does have what it takes to be the ruler.
Fighting Discord (maybe even go the cliché but still heart-string pulling setup of Desmond finally awakening into his alicorn form to protect his friends or because of his friends’ words of encouragement and defending Desmond from Discord preying on his insecurities during the heat of the moment) is the climax of the story and they win. Afterwards, they return to the ruler and…
This is the part where Desmond has to now choose.
To finally accept that he will be the next ruler or…
To say that he doesn’t want to be the next ruler and would rather travel the world, helping ponies in need (as well as a final fuck you to the ponies who had been ‘disappointed’ of him for years)

I found the most interesting connection between a HL mod I use and one of my other favourite games today, and it sort of blew my mind.
See this dress from the Victorian clothes mod?
I’ve always felt like it looked soooo familiar to me, and I could’ve swore that a character in AC:Syndicate wears a very similar dress. So I looked it up and ITS THE EXACT SAME DRESS Clara O’Dea wears 😂
This is made slightly more humorous to me by the fact that my MC pictured above is intended to be the daughter of Jacob Frye, one of the Syndicate protagonists.
Interesting connection between my current fandom and previous one (psst I actually started writing a Syndicate fanfic once upon a time ☺️)
