Dick, emergency respirator on and otherwise frustratingly unable to do much while in his civies, shared a surprised blink with Scarecrow before they both turned as one to the scrawny looking teen leaning casually against the side of the bus stop. Dark hair, darker circles under bright blue eyes, a faint scowl, worn out clothes, bruises on his arms and a way too thin frame. If the teen made it out of this situation alive - he wasn’t wearing any kind of mask at all, hadn’t even yanked his shirt up over his nose or anything - there was even odds that Bruce was going to end up waving adoption papers by the end of the night.

“What?” Crane hissed from behind his mask, ghoulish visage twisting to turn his full attention on the unimpressed looking teen.

“You’re vape.” The kid sad, waving a hand vaguely at the thick layer of fear toxin laying heavy around them. “Like, whatever model you’re using kicks off a lot and I’m already hungry I don’t need whatever cucumber-watermelon-thc-tastic miracle mix you picked up from the corner store giving me a craving for takis on top of everything else.”

“You’re…I’m sorry are you saying this is giving you the munchies?” Crane asked, body going still, voice rising in bewilderment.

The teenager rolled his eyes. “Obviously.” The boy seemed to just now realize just what the person he was talking to was wearing. “Dude are you trying to hotbox yourself in a burlap sack? What the fuck, no wonder your shit is everywhere.”

Dick sighed behind his respirator. Yeah, he was getting another brother by the end of the night wasn’t he.

Well, Rhea refuses to let Cyril fight in AG because his death would make her upset, and yet he still fights so maybe she allows the kids to fight under certain circumstances, unlike overprotective Cichol?

I have this scene where Lycaon, full of Hresvelg assholery, uses some argument like "you couldn't protect your mother and she died, but I will protect my mom" hitting so many guilt/trauma buttons at once (Rhea feeling like dirt because Sothis died, Rhea feeling like dirt for being Zanado's sole survivor) that she couldn't find anything to rebuke him.

Willy gets big mad and has him apologise at once to his mom, while Seiros the Warrior dissociates - it was Rhea who was a weakling and couldn't protect anyone, she's strong now, she is Seiros - a name taken after the Goddess herself! - a Warrior who is strong and she will protect her family.

Of course we all know how that ends when Lycaon dies :)

The hair spray bottle that hasnt been touched in months fell off the sink. Something in the kitchen fell, I did not investigate. The tv antenna was knocked down. And just now there was a fucking stuffed animal avalanche bc like three fucking stuffed animals that havent been touched in YEARS launched off the top shelf and knocked my hello kitty water dispenser down (thankfully I do not use it, it is decorative), both the doll rooms off (breaking one :( minor damage but still), the one apparently load bearing plushie behind the dispenser fell in the empty space, and the stupid straw hat I have kept falling when I put it back.

While i absolutely adore that that last roll of ep 33 ended up being a crit fail, and the poetry of imogen finally not being able to resist the storm when it's Laudna who gets hurt, I think it would have been a very hard dc in any case.

I feel like with every wisdom save matt threw her way the dc got a bit higher, the stress of the fight and the strength of the storm growing.

And then knowing about how much Imogen cares specifically for Lauda, i think matt would have made it pretty hard for her to hold on (still possible, but hard)

Also, I kinda got the feeling that was a way for matt to stop the bloodshed as soon as possible, while still leaving agency to his players.

Had the battle not gone to shit from the start, they probably could have defeated Otahan, but the way it went, this was somehow also a way to avoid a tpk from matt, while laura kept Imogen very much in character in her absolute terror of the storm

Anyway i love Imogen she's a little fucked up in so many interesting ways and i cant wait to see how that develops in the aftermath
