Governments across the globe have wasted more than a billion doses of the Covid vaccines, even as many people, including health workers, particularly in the low-income countries are yet to get at least a single shot, according to a report by science and data analytics company Airfinity. With 25 million doses, Russia's Sputnik V has the highest wastage figures, followed by AstraZeneca, with claims of 19 million wasted jabs, the report said. 24 horas depois, ela morre em uma unidade de terapia intensiva. Um exame forense revelou que a jovem morreu de trombose cerebral como efeito colateral da vacinação genética.
A família da italiana morta após ser injetada com Astrazeneca, recebeu uma "compensação" no valor de 77.468,53 euros. Esta é a primeira vez que um tribunal obrigou o estado a pagar multas por danos causados por vacinas. A família quer ganhar uma quantia maior processando os estados italianos.
Os tribunais italianos têm agora de decidir casos semelhantes: casos de mulheres frequentemente jovens em profissões educativas que ficaram gravemente doentes ou morreram devido à vacinação obrigatória. Seria este o início de uma grande onda de processos?

#its not that bad its very light for me#unfortunately that meant i mistook it for a common cold or perhaps flu and happily went to a con snacking on paracetamol and ibuprofen#i wore a mask bc i sneezed and shit and im not That stupid but. i hope my friends dont get infectes :(#but whats worse is that i infected my parents before i left for the weekend and my dad is Not feeling well#and my mom got covid for the second time now despite all the necessary vaccines bc shes immunocompromised#not much but she is a bit#also she got astrazeneca shots and i think they were the least effective on their own or something? not sure#anyway i hope at least my brother doesnt catch it somehow but it seems super contagious aargh

anyway. im hoping that bc i now qualify for the free flu vax i can convince my gp to give me a second covid booster if they havent lowered the age to under 30s in a few months
#wanna get novavax to complete the collection#and also bc it's shown to be better protection against omicron than astrazeneca and the mRNA vaccines#bc the omicron specific vaccines are still in trial and defs wont be available any time soon#tho maybe that novavax trial i was rejected from is still running in a few months time and i can get my doctor to give me permission#to be a participant despite my bad reaction to my second pfizer#since it's been Yonks since any covid vax so my immune system wont go as apeshit like it did with only a 3 week window#holy personal post batman

I have somehow gotten around to taking an interest in Lady Diana once again, that hasn't happened in a while but it certainly pulled me in a lot.

AstraZeneca to acquire Icosavax for $1.1B

AstraZeneca is set to acquire Icosavax, a company focused on creating innovative vaccines using a protein virus-like particle platform.
This acquisition aims to enhance AstraZeneca's expertise in preventing respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) by incorporating Icosavax's lead vaccine candidate, IVX-A12, which targets both RSV and human metapneumovirus (hMPV) in adults, especially those with chronic conditions. IVX-A12 has shown promising Phase II results, eliciting robust immune responses against RSV and hMPV, boasting potential advantages over existing RSV vaccines.
The acquisition will also integrate Icosavax's VLP technology, known for mimicking viruses to trigger stronger immune responses, potentially requiring fewer booster shots and offering a lower incidence of side effects compared to current RSV vaccines.
The deal includes financial aspects where AstraZeneca will acquire Icosavax for approximately $0.8 billion upfront, with potential additional payments based on achieving regulatory and sales milestones, totaling around $1.1 billion. This move aligns with AstraZeneca's strategy to address unmet needs in infectious diseases by expanding its portfolio of protective interventions.
The acquisition is subject to certain conditions and regulatory clearances and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024.
