Hi wonderful blog! Just wanting to know what would star of life would translate to in Sumerian? Or star of sky heaven and earth could translate to?

Hello! I've previously answered about these separate words but I'm glad to put them together for you.

"Life" in this context would be namtil 𒉆𒋾, and "star" is mul 𒀯, so "star of life" would be mulnamtila, written 𒀯𒉆𒋾𒀀 in cuneiform.

"Heaven and earth" is a set term in Sumerian, anki, literally "sky (and) earth" and also meaning "universe, totality of existence". I recommend prior posts on this term here and here! Written 𒀭𒆠 in cuneiform, this means "star of heaven and earth" would be mulanki 𒀯𒀭𒆠.

1- Marx has a wardrobe of shirts with questionable jokes and bad words

2- Taranza has a very developed vocabulary

3- Taranza, Sectonia and the people of the sky all have a british accent

4- Marx always gets wasted at parties ( if there’s alcohol, he chugs it)

5- Meta knight has a strictly structured routine morning and night

6- When Meta knight listens to people or make eye contact with them he stares at them in an intimidated way unintentionally and has bad social skills

7- Meta knight has autism and DDD has ADHD

8- King DDD has an obsession with chips and Bandana Dee has to hide them with Meta knight in a locked up safe

9- Francisca does that posh laugh

10- Shadow Kirby has social anxiety, their usually nervous but sometimes they can get really aggressive and start swearing at everyone rambling and throwing a tantrum

11- Meta knight wear glasses when he’s home

23- Shiver Star is Adeleine’s home planet but after Galactic Nova granted her wish and she found herself on PopStar she forgot about her past life. In the events of crystal shards, when they went to Shiver Star, she couldn’t help but get deja vu.

24- Flamberge plays the electric guitar (so does Galacta and S.Adeleine)

25- Prince Fluff is a great singer

26- Queen Ripple and DDD used to be in a relationship but things got complicated and they broke up (their still pan buddies tho)

the qsmp has fucked me up so much that i’ve spent the last 5 minutes muttering “etoiles” to myself. i KNOW how to pronounce it. space/astronomy was one of my favorite vocabulary sections. but i’ve heard so many fucking different attempts on the qsmp that it’s making me second guess myself. like fuck what if tubbo’s pronunciation IS the right one (it is fully not) and i’ve just been wrong this whole time (i cannot stress enough how that is not the case)

Jazz has known her little brother was different.

Known since he was three and had enough of a vocabulary to cry about moving shadows.

Of whispers that filled the quiet nights.

Of eyes watching them.

Her parents responded with violence, breaking and smashing the house.

Shouting about ghosts and spooks.

She didn’t like it, flinching at every shout.

Every bang.

Every fallen wall.

Danny was the same.

If him growing quiet and subdued was anything to go by.

Never mentioning the voices or the eyes again.

But he always did pay more attention to the shadows than the people around him.

By elementary school, he was practically mute, a breathing shadow at her side.

He didn’t cry when he was pulled away from her, separated into a different classroom.

Nor when he was teased by the kids on the playground.

Keeping to himself and not making friends.

And they grew up.

Jazz buried herself into psychology, trying to understand, to make sense of her family.

Danny fell into astronomy and the night sky.

When he wasn’t drawing strange symbols.

Or writing in other languages.

He didn’t watch the shadows as much, but he always seemed to be listening.

Listening to something only he could hear.

And things were okay.

Until her parent’s finished the machine.

Bringing both children down for the big reveal.

The great hole in the wall turned gateway.

They called it a portal.

Jazz called it a waste of time.

Danny didn’t call it anything.

Too busy watching the shadows under the lab table.

Jazz was unsurprised when they plugged it in and nothing happened.

Danny wasn’t paying attention, back turned to the machine and heading upstairs.

That night, after their parents went to bed, she heard the telltale creak of his door opening.

Following him down, down, and down.

She stopped at the bottom step of the lab.

Watching him stand before the gaping maw of machinery.

“You can come over,” he says, not turning around.

Jazz pads over to stand beside him. Gaze shifting between the thing and him.

“They’re loud,” he says.

“You haven’t talked about them since grade school.”

He offers nothing more than a shrug.

Jazz looks around the lab before turning back to him.

“What are they saying?”

“It will never work.”

“Because it’s a bunch of-”

But he’s shaking his head.

“Then what?”

Danny’s gaze turns to her for the first time since he left the lab earlier that day.

Something green glints in his eyes.

But what makes goosebumps climb her arms is the open expression of horror that lines his face.

She doesn’t hesitate.

Reaching out, she takes his hand (it’s cold, so cold, why is it so cold?) and pulls him into her side.

“Then we’ll make sure it never works,” she says into his hair.

He nods against her shoulder, an arm wrapping around her waist.

A glass beaker falls behind them.

Crashing loudly, making them jump.

Danny glares at a spot next to the table.

Something cold runs down her spine.

The shadow under the table seems darker to her.

Danny’s hand grips her wrist.

“You’re not taking her,” he states.

“Who's not taking me?!”

“You can’t have her,” he glares at the spot.

Jazz twists her wrist, catching Danny’s in her own hand.

She tugs till he’s looking at her again, “What is going on?”

“...”

“Danny, please, what do you think is going on?”

He blinks, visibly shutting down, face going blank.

He jerks his hand out her grip.

“Go to bed, Jazz.”

“Not unless you come up too.”

“Why? It’s not like you’ll believe me,” his gaze going dark, stepping back from her.

“What can I believe if you don’t tell me anything?”

He shakes his head, stepping back again.

Jazz has a moment of horror when she realizes he’s walking into the contraption.

“Danny get away from that,” she steps closer, reaching out to grab him.

Several glass beakers fall behind her, shattering louder than the pounding in her heart.

“They need it-”

“Need what?”

A shelf falls from the wall.

Jazz jumps, turning to look.

“A sacrifice.”

“Wha-” she doesn’t even have a chance to turn when a great flash of light fills the room.

Blinding her.

But Danny’s scream is only just louder than her scream of his name.

Distantly, she registers the banging of a door upstairs, of pounding on the stairs.

But Jazz can only stare at the shadow of her little brother standing past the swirl of green.

“Mads! The Portal! It works” her dad booms behind her.

“Thats- Jazz, honey, what are you doing?” her mom asks.

“Where’s Danny?”

Jazz doesn’t turn.

Doesn’t hear them.

Danny’s scream still echoing in her ears.

In her heart.

She swallows.

Tears clumping in her throat.

Spilling down her cheeks.

The swirling green starts to shrink.

The shadow fading.

Jazz runs.

Away from her name.

Into the swirling green.

Into the left over shadow of a silhouette.

i mainly just want to do what feels right to me // whatever i feel the most motivated to do during my 'productivity' hours (i don't really like to use this word. there's so much attached to it lmao).

but to get into the specifics,, i really want to improve my critical thinking & analysis skills. i want to find & consume more media that directly appeals to my tastes. i want to expand my vocabulary so i can giggle more about how good i speak. i want to improve my verbal communication skills bc tripping on my words and stuttering isn't very fun. i want to get more money to buy pretty things for myself & support family // friends where i can. i want to get closer to my only irl friend,, both relationship wise & physically. i want to get better at coding so i can make fun little programs for myself. i want to learn more about lesbian history,, astrology & astronomy,, philosophy & psychology,, and whatever else seems fun to me. i want to make moodboards and whispers and expand my pinterest and have more fun girlblogging. i want to improve my alcohol tolerance (🤭). i want to be more insane about my fav characters,, games,, etc. i want to get close to maybe three or so new girls (falling in love again would be nice too). i want to take more pictures of myself & post myself more often. i want to take better care of my hair,, health & skin. i want to learn to bake. i want to eat more sweets and nice things. i want to spend more time with the moon.

there will probably be more i want to do with time and i'm actually looking forward to that,, i love having wants and i know i'm beyond capable of getting everything i want.

Dandelion, in book and game canon, is noted for being a master of the seven liberal arts. For those that don't know, the liberal arts irl are: Grammar, Logic, Rhetoric, Arithmetic, Astronomy, Music and Geometry; so lets briefly breakdown what each one was back in the medieval and middle ages [since those eras are the basis for the series] and see exactly how intellectually smart Dandelion was

First we have the Trivium, which were the three basic tools of reasoning and expression and were the gateways into much higher fields of learning

Grammar: The study of written works and forms of writing, usually through memorisation and reading of classical texts. Learning and diagraming the parts of speech became common, and other language-related knowledge like spelling and vocabulary have grown out of grammar studies

Logic: The easiest way to describe this is basically philosophy - there's a lot of "discussions and investigations into truth and opinions" which would be why Dandelion has so many Thoughts about things

Rhetoric: Closely related to Logic studies, this one was about learning how to express your opinions and make clear concise arguments

Next we have the Quadrivium, which are all about maths and the traditional arts we know of

Arithmetic: The basic mathematics such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication etc as well as mathematic notation

Music: Though less widespread now, back in the day music studies were incredibly important for students to understand and appreciate creation by learning about the various forms and instruments of music - in short, Dandelion would be able to play far more than just the lute if he wanted to

Geometry: This one would have covered everything from architecture to engineering to surveying, all of which are now their own separate disciplines of study. So, in ye olde times, Geometry used to be far more practical in application. This is why I like to joke that Dandelion is like if Shakespeare and Leonardo da Vinci were fused into one person

Astronomy: The contemplation of the heavens and humankind’s place in them received more emphasis in an era where less was known and more was imagined than today. Astronomy was at first considered essential for fields such as navigation and determining dates, but grew to include more advanced mathematics and physics studies

Plato is probably the most famous of real life masters of these arts to give an example of how impactful and important they are in our history, so Dandelion being a master of all 7 and being qualified to teach at the university itself is no small feat by any means. Intellectually speaking, Dandelion is easily one of the smartest characters in the books - but he's also impulsive, curious to a fault, tempermental and often doesn't follow his own common sense, which is why he has Geralt and the Hansa to look out for him lol

Please. Jason would be pleased by "freaky bitch". "Freaky bitch" is a compliment in Stephanie's vocabulary. "Freaky bitch" is a term of endearment in some cultures, an affectionate term for the after 8pm convenience store, eating-heat-lamp-tamales-and-cheating-death crowd.

People who want to be freaky bitches though? They get irked when people don't notice their apparent freaky bitchiness. It's an ego thing. Stephanie doesn't do egos, not because she's above them, but because she's above everyone else who has one. Literally no one is as cool as Stephanie Brown. No one in the whole ass world. Not Elvis Presley, not Julius Caesar, not the president, not Ben Frank, maybe that astronomy chick Caroline Herschel with the comet, but certainly not the guy in the red helmet with bloodstains on his jacket trying to pay for a bottle of hot sauce with a hundred dollar bill.

The issue is that Stephanie and Jason's first interaction was probably as normal and uninteresting as you can get. Which made Jason keep coming back. Because clearly this poor kid hasn't noticed he's a Super Cool Vigilante here to Make Crime Alley Great Again. But Stephanie just keeps treating him like she treats every other guy who thinks he's intimidating when they stop for a midnight snack before blasting Post Malone and doing wheelies in their Toyota Yaris out in the parking lot of a closed laundromat thinking they're gonna be the next Roman Sionis when they aren't worth the scum of Harley Quinn's hyena's teeth.

Stephanie and Jason's dull acquaintanceship blooms into a beautiful animosity the day Hood stops an armed robbery by shattering a beer fridge via slamming a man's head into it, when Stephanie totally had that crap handled, thanks a lot asshole--

how would you say "wishing star" in sumerian?

I don't know of an example of a shooting star being used for wishmaking in Sumerian; the earliest source I know for this practice is from the Roman era, and may be apocryphal. But I'll try to translate this concept for you!

Star in Sumerian is mul 𒀯, while there are a couple words for "wish". There basic word is ash 𒀾 "wish, desire, need". But here I might use kurku 𒅗𒀭𒉌𒋛, which means "wish" as well as "bounty, abundance". So mulkurku 𒀯𒅗𒀭𒉌𒋛 would be "star of wish(es)" as well as "star of abundance". There is also a word for "shooting star, meteor" in Sumerian, which is antasurra 𒀯𒀭𒋫𒋩𒊏.

Bonjour,

You guys can call me Kayla or ghguguhuu (it's not my true name...) and I'm 15 years old. This year, I want to grow, to improve myself, to become a better person and as I was walking on the street and I decided that I wanted to evolve.

So, how can I evolve? I decided to improve these aspects of my life:

Physical:

Dance 3 times a week (kpop dance, afrobeat, ballet)

Take a walk 2 times a week

Stretch everyday

Mental:

Write down my thougths

Do some shadow works

30 min without screen everyday

Find my Ikigai

Academic:

Study everyday for 30 min to 1 h 30min (except on sundays)

Improve my skills english

Improve my vocabulary (in french, english and spanish)

Romantisize school and study

Hobbies:

Read at least 5 pages of a book everyday (I love to read so it will be easy)

Learn about philosophy, history and geography

Learn how to draw

Learn fashion design

Learn how to play piano

Learn how to code

Learn about astronomy

Learn spanish

Learn how to play chess

Spiritual:

Grow my relationship with God (I'm christian)

Pray everday in the morning and when I go to sleep

Pray before I eat

Documentate my process will make me more productive and motivate during this whole journey.
