A little break from requests (will continue those soon!)
This is inspired by all the discourse lately on Henry and his ships… hehe. Did I basically put him in his own Twilight poster? Yes. I did the same with Mike previously.
My thoughts? I haven’t even seen the play (I want to tho!) but ship him with whoever you want. Just keep Brenner away from him!!!

After purchasing Said the Black Horse, may I have it printed and bound? Just one personal copy, not for sale. There's something about the tactile feeling of books that makes me happy.
I actually have a book-formatted pdf with a full new cover ready to go and I've already ordered a single copy for myself (it will take some time to get here but you'll know when it does because I'll post about it). If it looks good I can make it more widely available.
In the meantime I'm 100% cool with you using the book pdf you get on kofi to print a personal copy using like your own printer or local in-person service but I would rather you didn't upload it to any online self-printing services. Also be aware that there are images at the back of the pdf so you might want to cut those out before printing.

From this lists of fic writer asks
7. How do you choose which POV to write from?
Usually when I start working on a fic, there’s a core scene or idea I work off of, and the POV choice flows naturally from that. When I’m spinning my wheels in a particular way trying to write something, I start trying different POVs. Sometimes it’s just throwing spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks. I attempted Chapter 3 of Survival Instincts from Bruce’s, Jay’s and Tim’s POVs before I got it right with Dick.
14. How do you write emotional scenes? Do you ever feel what the characters feel? Do you draw from personal experiences?
I’ve never been an international assassin or a crime lord, so that makes drawing from personal experience challenging, lol. In a more abstract way I do draw from my own experiences. One of the central themes of The People We Choose is grieving something you’ve lost and can’t get back, and learning to make peace with that without losing yourself. There was a mountain of personal grief motivating the overall storytelling, if not the individual scenes.
When I write individual scenes, I often rely on music to help me feel emotion. My partner loves to tease me about my ‘emo writing music’ Spotify playlist. The climax of Chapter 1 of Harm Reduction was written to a background of Hurt by Johnny Cash.
18. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?
Usually before, a title pops into my head and just feels right. Stories in the Asymmetrical Warfare ‘verse are easier because I have the military theme to work from.
Thanks so much for the ask, anon! 💙

like not to be Horny On Main but for real bodies are so beautiful. the curve of the lower belly over the pelvic mound? impeccable. the smooth line along the ribs and the u-curve under the bottom rib that's made to fit an arm or hand? perfection. the landscape of backs and shoulders flexing and shifting and how they're never symmetrical but moving above and below each other? god lives there. hands. HANDS. oh my god the taper at the wrist the elegance of the shape HANDS. necks and you can see the structure of tendon and bone and throat move and interact and the rise and hollow of the throat and collar. the weight and stretch and fluid shape of breasts at any size. bodies are so fucking beautiful and people. are gorgeous.

honestly if all the people over my many years of living were in fact correct in their horrible horrible assumptions I was the most evil despicable inhuman person.
I’d still not care,
does the dog that bites because it’s only known pain evil?
Is the cat that kills a bird to show you it’s love evil?
is the plants that grow through the pipes in the ground cracking and puncturing them evil?
is the curious shark evil for taking a inquisitive bite?
Are the strikes that take the young and skewer them on thorns evil?
are the parasites that depend on its host evil for having no choice?
Am I evil or unsavory, who knows.
but if people wish to dehumanize me I shall make myself happy with the creatures you call evil, the ones who are scary and cruel the ones who hurt and chew and claw.
for we are one in the same, and I will happily accept that from you.
