Thought of nieyao modern AU where Meng Yao is Huaisang’s babysitter/nanny and I was like well why the fuck hasn’t anyone written THAT yet (maybe they have, I admit I haven’t looked super hard) and then I had to drive for half an hour and just kept thinking about it and by the time I had gotten to my destination I had shifted to “Meng Yao as Huaisang’s babysitter and also working for Jin Guangshan as a corporate spy trying to get sensitive information about Nie Mingjue’s business” and then shifted again to “what If instead of corporate spies they were regular spies”

#also I moved LXC and LWJ into their house too. #I know they both have extended families who would gladly help take care of their brothers but #my excuse was that they had to move to a new city for business and didn’t have any family there #still waffling between whether I want LXC and NMJ to start out the fic as just friends who bonded through both losing their parents #at a young age #or if I want them to be Together when the fic starts #either way Meng Yao is so attracted to both of them #and tries to seduce each of them individually to further his espionage goals #and they both gently turn him down with the reasoning that it would be wrong to take advantage of him #and suddenly Meng Yao feels just horrible about lying to these two incredibly kind men and also he might be in love with them a lil #so he comes clean and they’re Pretty mad at him but they like him a lot and he’s great with the boys so they do let him stay #and then he becomes a double agent feeding incorrect information back to his shitty dad :)

I hate how fandom has become "if you haven't created anything in this very specific time frame after the release of the show/movie, everyone will have moved on"

And call me old fashioned, but that's just not me. I sometimes take ages to create and publish. And I will love a show or movie for such a long time (years, babes, years) that I just can't relate to the fast consumerism that's going on.

Because, let's be real, it can get really lonely in a fandom if most have simply moved on to the next shiny thing. Is what's created less worth, just because it was created outside the hype? Why is it such a taboo for this new fandom generation to love an old or "late" fic or art?

It's so tiring and I'm too old for the 30-seconds-hype-tiktok-shit. Just tired. So, so tired.
