A theoretical question for the self shippers. Does Mob!Howdy show genuine interest, or is that all pushed down
Follow up, do his antenna wiggle and give him away
mob!Howdy’s emotions and free thinking is severely suppressed- he has (almost) zero opinions on anyone he meets/knows, and if he does it’s extremely simple (like for boss is slight fear, Barnaby it’s playful friendly banter, Frank it’s mild curiosity, etc etc). He’s a true neutral basically KDHDHHD
if he’s genuinely curious/likes someone it’s almost impossible to tell, however there are very minor things he will do that shows it (taking his time making a nice drink for them, longer lasting glances, small smirks whenever they do something charming like laugh or talk about something positive, slightly sloppy work when worried/distressed for their well-being-). It’s very easy to miss this sorta things with him since he’s so muted in his behavior. He never used to be like that.
also I think every howdy is unable to control what their antennae do lmAO it’s a subconscious thing. Mob!Howdy’s is the same thing but of course slightly muted. They still wiggle when he’s happy tho

Wally hates your guys the moment your face shows up at his place
You were out on the case about his spouse, the many investigators who turned down or gave up on the case, immediately you can tell why many would look at him as the main suspect
When he would talk to you he would be sweet and very vague about his relationship with his now old spouse
When you would talk to his friends they would just say all the nicest things about but that what was bugging you, no one can be that nice
The times you would spend at his home he would try to give your drinks and snacks but you would always turn them down not wanting to take that chance
One day you got a call from Wally himself asking if you would meet him for a nice dinner and you agreed hoping you can get more answers
When you got there Wally was in his best wear as he hooked his arm around yours guiding you to the table
Wally would tell you to order anything you wanted but all you did was get a glass of water
During this dinner Wally would tell you how horrible it is to have many think he would kill his spouse when really he really did love them
As he rambled he would hold your hand and look into your eyes and beg you to believe him but you just pulled you hand back and just left after leaving a tip
But right when you had enough evidence you got assigned to another case but when you came back from the case you found all of your work to be gone
Since then your pay has been going up and being assigned to different cases making you very successful but you knew why this was happening
You did go and visit Wally again but with a different approach instead of being the nosy investigator you will be his close friend
This will not become a cold case

Hello fellow humans!
This is an au that I thought of very recently, paranormal investigator wally! Previously, I was thinking of calling it midwestern horror wally, But enough of that!
The plot of this au is going to be based in the town welcome home but in a more midwestern setting with all the creepiness that comes with the midwest. Wally and friends are a group of young adults who notice all the weird things happening in their small town, and the woods surrounding it.
I'll have to think more on how I want to develop this story. For the meantime I'm going to be designing the rest of the welcome home characters!
Please tell me how yall feel about this au, and if ya want tell me what you think I should add to the story or character design!

Remus showed up at the Pettigrew’s once again, a fairly common guest for the two women.
This time, however, he seemed lighter. Happier, but strangely nervous.
He sat on their sofa, slowly sipping the tea that Cora had placed in his hands moments ago.
After the cup was half gone and the women had patiently been staring at him for a good five minutes, Remus looked up and spoke.
"Sirius is innocent."
"What?" Lydia frowned, "What do you mean?"
"He was framed. By um- by Peter. Peter is alive but he was the real spy and framed Sirius."
"My son is dead."
Remus shook his head.
Cora leaned forwards, "If Sirius is innocent, shouldn't they be saying that in the news?" She nodded towards the television, "I don't know about your wizard news, but ours is still saying he's a dangerous criminal to watch out for."
Remus nodded, "Yes, about that. We don't have any proof. About Peter being alive, because he ran away. So, Sirius is still in hiding and we can't really do anything to help at the moment."
Lydia glared at him, "You're telling me my son is alive but he's a murderer and yet you have no proof?"
Remus slowly nodded, "Yes?"
"Get out."
Remus immediately stood up.
"Lydia-" Cora laid a hand on her wife's shoulder.
"No", Lydia continued to glare at Remus, "My son wouldn't hurt anyone. He died. He was a good person and he died. Maybe- maybe Sirius is innocent, okay? Yes, Sirius is innocent, he was such a nice kid. But that doesn't give either of you a right to make up lies about my son. Especially when he isn't- when he can't even defend himself... I'd like you to leave now."
Cora stood up with him, "Come on" she gestured to the door as Lydia buried her face in her hands.
She opened the door for Remus but he lingered in the doorway.
"Have you had any rats recently?"
Cora quirked a brow but shook her head, "Not for a long time."
Remus hummed, "I thought he'd come here."
Cora glanced behind her, making sure Lydia couldn't hear, before turning back to Remus, "Not to say I believe you that Peter is alive, and I know I only knew him for a few years, but he never really relied on me or Lyd when he needed some help or guidance. He always went to that James boy."
Remus fiddled with the handle of his suitcase, "Right. Well that's not really possible."
Cora nodded, glancing at Remus and fully taking in the look of him with a frown, "How is the new job going?"
Remus almost laughed, "Didn't really work out... I'm not too sure what to do now."
"Do you need some money?"
Remus instantly shook his head, "I couldn't accept that."
"Please", Cora huffed, taking out her wallet, "If Peter did do all that you claim, then it's the least we can do."
She held out five £10 notes, the entirety of her wallet other than a few pennies.
Remus hesitantly took it, "I'll send it to Sirius. Although I'm not quite sure how to get ahold of him, he flew off on a hippogriff."
Cora blinked in confusion, "Right, sure. Well keep it for yourself then, pay your bills, get some food for you and your father."
"Thank you."
(for you @jegulily-stuff )
