Today, June 28th 2019 around noon, my baby boy Kit passed away in my arms. He was 17 human years old, 95 cat years old. He outlived his kidneys, but he hung on for two days, so we could prepare and give him the end he deserved.

Today, I’d like to share the life of the little angel that changed mine forever.

Some time in October 2002, when I was 9 years old, my Mother and I walked into a pet store we’d never been to before, and right at the front doors was a large cage holding one mother cat and a full litter of kittens, all around 5 months old.

The one little black kitten caught my eye, and in that instant I knew. I knew he was meant to be mine. I couldn’t take my eyes off him. I begged my Mother to let me hold him, and she eventually agreed. The store clerk opened the door and let me pick him up, and he instantly melted in my arms, and completely stole my heart. He was completely and utterly relaxed, and even though I was a complete stranger, he was completely at peace letting me cradle him in my arms like a baby, looking up at me with the most beautiful green eyes I had ever seen.

I knew in that moment that I couldn’t leave the store without him. I just couldn’t. I begged my Mother to let me have him, but she worried about the logistics of introducing two cats in a very cramped two bedroom apartment that already had 3 people and a 2 year old cat that was notorious for not liking other animals.

She eventually forced me to leave him behind for the night, assured by the store clerks that he would still be there tomorrow. I spent the rest of the day making my case. He’s a black cat, we love black cats. His (temporary) name is Uncle Fester, Wednesday and Morticia Addams were my role models and the Addams Family movies were our favorites to watch around Halloween, alongside Hocus Pocus. And once I pointed out to her how he let me hold him, how relaxed he was, she too was convinced, and it was time to tackle convincing Dad.

But that too didn’t take long. He captured all our hearts, and the next day I walked out of the store with my sweet boy, whom we renamed Kit, after the witches’ familiar from the TV show Charmed. A name I very quickly came to love and took as my own nickname, leading to many funny looks when I would talk about him.

One of the first things we did upon getting him home was give him a bath. The cage he had been in was small, but tall, but it seemed only the mother cat ever left the bottom half. Holding a litter of at least 8 kittens, there was only one small litter box and one food and water bowl. My sweet baby had poop dried on the end of his tail and old food all over his feet.

He didn’t mind the bath. He was so curious about the water, and even played with it, splashing around in it and exploring.

Our other cat, Tiggeriss, knew something was up, and she clawed and hissed at the door. It seemed Mother’s worries were well founded. We couldn’t keep them apart. He was curious about her, and she, the Queen Bee of the house, demanded loudly to be made aware of who had entered her kingdom.

We couldn’t get in or out without them trying to dart in or out. Eventually, we put him back in the carrier and brought it into the tiny living room. Tiggeriss was on it in a second, sniffing wildly. I opened the carrier and he walked straight out, innocent little boy that he was. but in that moment, magic happened.

She hissed at him, and in an instant he plopped over onto his side and exposed his belly to her, submitting to her completely. She sniffed him for a bit, and began giving him a bath.

20 minutes later, they were curled up together taking a nap, like they’d known each other their whole lives. Inseparable, as they’d be for the next 17 years.

He fit into our family perfectly, though it still took some adjusting. We had a black mat at the front door, and often on our way out we’d see nothing but two little green eyes looking back at us, the void swallowing the rest of him whole.

Tiggeriss was still always the Queen Bee, but she clearly considered him her son and treated him as such. When they’d eat, she’d let him have any extra of hers he wanted. When we tried playing with her, all strategic and allowing her to track and hunt the toy, he’d come plowing in like the silly little kitten he was and go nuts.

But it also went the other way. Tig hates car rides, panicking every time we have to take her somewhere. She’d scream and yowl and pace around the car staring out every winder desperate for an escape. But Kit? He was as calm as he ever was. On trips where we’d have to hit the highway he’d get a little car sick at first, but otherwise he stayed calm, and that in turn kept her calm.

We moved into a nice house, and bought them a brand new large scratching post, one twice as tall as I was, and almost still is. They loved it, of course. and it still sits beside me as I write this now, showing all the love it’s gotten for the last 17 years.

He was the snuggliest, most affectionate baby. His relaxed and trusting nature never wavered, even around rowdy children. My friends dubbed him “Mush”, for how he would just melt in your arms without a care in the world, and “Mr. Underfoot” for how he’d always follow you around, and constantly be “underfoot” and in the way, just to be around you more.

And he was always, so, so curious. Always wanting to discover new things, new smells, new experiences. Seemingly he’d forget about his exciting adventures the year before, so every winter he’d discover snow all over again.

He became our wonderful Halloween cat, always enjoying being outside and seeing all the kids coming around with us. Sometimes it’d get to be a bit overwhelming, but he’d still enjoy sitting inside the glass door and watching. He was the best living Halloween decoration we ever had.

My Father, who always claimed to dislike cats and felt dogs were so much better, warmed up to him very quickly, deciding Kit was his cat. We would playfully argue about it often, fighting over who got to lay claim to the cat he didn’t want in the first place.

His days were spent ether on Dad’s bed, my bed, or at the foot of my recliner, snuggling with my feet or in my lap, when he wasn’t playing with one of us or Tig.

He was the most loving cat you’d ever meet. I was always horribly bullied in school. I always assumed that if my classmates themselves didn’t kill me, the stress would. I never bothered to think about my future because I assumed I’d never have one. I had resigned myself to a short life, but then I’d come home to his squeaky little meow, the meow that never deepened no matter how old he got because he was neutered a little too early. And I knew I’d be ok. I had to be. I couldn’t leave him behind. He needed me and loved me and I refused to die on him or Tiggeriss, no matter how bad things got.

Because I knew, as soon as I looked into his eyes, those eyes that loved me unconditionally, who didn’t care about me being gay, or my terrible pimples, who didn’t think I was stupid and ugly and worthless, and I knew that was all that mattered. HE was all that mattered.

Those big, beautiful green eyes, gems adorning the velveteen little rumbling furnace that was our beloved never ending ball of fluff.

In fact, we even got a very nice, fancy comb we were warned was so good it was known to cause a balled spot if we combed him in the same spot too much.

We tried once, just to see if we could. We never made a single dent in his fur, no matter how hard we tried.

And his fur was the softest thing I’ve ever felt. It was like owning a large chinchilla, lost in the void of a starless night. Soft, and shiny, with a rumbling motor boat underneath that you could hear from the other side of the room, especially when he got chin scritches, his favorite place for affection.

Once he hit late adulthood, he developed arthritis. It became hard for him to walk and climb, which meant he spent more time snuggling with one of us than he did playing and exploring anymore, but he seemed to get just as much comfort out of it as we did. He always knew when one of us needed a snuggle, like when I got home after having my wisdom teeth removed. I crashed in my chair instantly, but according to Mom, he climbed right up with me and curled up under my arm and napped with me all day.

No matter how much changed as he aged, how active he was, how well he could walk, how aware he was of himself and his surroundings, some things never changed.

He still loved making things difficult because he just wanted to be close to you,

He still loved lying in the sun and munching on the grass just outside our home,

He and Tig would still climb all over me when morning rolled around and they were hungry,

He still loved his favorite spot next to me on my bed,

And snuggling with his loved ones. Even on his last days.

He knew the end was near. When we took him to the emergency vet, she said she was shocked he was still alive, as he was in such bad shape he could go at any moment. He could have just as easily died the night before, but he hung on. He hung on one more night for us. So we could prepare, so I could have one more night with him in my arms. Just one more night.

And there is nothing in the world I am more thankful for than him, and the love he showed me for the last 17 years.

Rest in peace my angel.

Mall Trip

This is my fic for @meginoi for the fic exchange. I feel like it sucks, and I apologise for that. It ended up more window shopping, bad characterization, and just overall suckiness. Also,props to whoever guesses the series Logan describes. Ask me and I might give you a prize. I hope you get some happiness from this piece of crap. Prompt: Shopping Word Count: ~1.8k Pairing: Logicality (I'm on mobile and can't post a read more. I apologise. I'll try to fix it later) It was the third Saturday of the month, which, for most people, was simply another Saturday. But for Logan, it was a special day. He was a very focused person, and always tried to keep busy and be productive, whether it be with lesson plans for his students, maintaining social connections, staying fit, and other things of the sort. He did know that rest was very important though, so he had a few days set apart in every month where he would take what is called a “Me Day.” He would allow himself to sleep in as late as he would, and do very little that day that would be considered productive. Today was one of those days. He had the day planned. He would wake up whenever, record any dreams that he had had, make himself a large breakfast, and then spend the day watching shows that he had heard of and reading his new books. His plan was not to have been woken abruptly at 8 o’clock by his boyfriend throwing open his curtains and allowing the sun’s light to hit him in the eyes. But things rarely go per plan, and that was what happened. "Logan, Logan, Lo, come on Lo, wake up!” Patton chanted as he bounced up and down next to his bed. The person in question sat himself up and fumbled for his glasses on his bedside table. "What are you doing here?” he asked, sleepiness still inhabiting his voice. "I want to go to the mall,” Patton announced, ceasing his bouncing. Logan sighed. “And why exactly do you want to go, and why so early?” Patton was a rather spontaneous person, but he always had some reasoning behind his decisions, even if they made no sense to Logan. "They just opened a small pet shop and I want to go see it, and they also got copies of that book that you’ve been wanting in and I wanted to go early cause we’re normally both up early and I want to eat out for breakfast!” Patton listed in no order. Logan sighed slightly, but smiled at Patton. “Okay then. Let me get dressed and we can head out, okay?” Patton nodded, and left the room. After getting changed, they both headed out, getting into Patton’s car. It wasn’t a long drive to the mall, only around fifteen minutes, but in that fifteen minutes Logan realized how hungry he was, and Patton told Logan about all the animals he was hoping to see. Just as Logan had predicted, puppies were number one. They found the parking lot emptier than normal by the time they arrived, seeing as it was rather early and the mall was fairly small and only known locally. “After we get something to eat, we can go see the animal, okay?” Logan said, to which Patton nodded. They walked through the parking lot, Patton holding Logan’s hand and excitedly pulling him forward through the parking lot. Once they had gotten to the food court, they made their way to one of the food stands to get their food. After getting their food (Logan had grabbed a sausage pretzel, and Patton a cinnamon one.) they grabbed a seat at one of the tables. They ate in comfortable silence, or as silent as it could be with the mill of people around them. Once they had both finished and had thrown their trash away, they started to make their way to the new pet store. When they arrived, Patton immediately hurried over to the dogs. "Puppies!” he yelled, crouching down so he could clearly see into the cages they were kept in. He read each description of the puppies out loud so Logan could hear them, and the ones that said they were okay to pet he reached in and pet them. Meanwhile, Logan was standing behind him, listening as well as looking around. The pet store was fairly empty, as it was still before when most people would visit the mall, but it was clearly the most crowded store in the mall. It made sense, seeing as it was both new and had animals, which attracted both adults and children. It appeared to be well stocked, with kittens, gerbils, birds, fish, lizards, turtles, and chinchillas, spiders, snakes, frogs, as well as the necessary objects to care for them and the not so necessary luxuries for them. He made a mental note to keep Patton away from the spider aisle. After finishing his observation of the store, he turned back to Patton, whose hand was straining against the cage to reach a particularly playful puppy who was running and rolling on the ground in his cage. Patton bit his lip as he tried to reach the puppy inside the cage, but his hand didn’t fit far enough. Sadly, he pulled his hand out of the cage. He turned around and looked up at Logan with puppy dog eyes. Logan sighed at the pun he had made to himself. Patton was rubbing off on him. Before Patton could speak, Logan looked away back to the chinchilla cage that was behind him and said “No, Patton, we aren’t getting a dog. You don’t have the room, and I am not taking care of it.” Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Patton pout. “You know they would be better getting adopted by someone who has a big area to take care of it as well as has the time to do so,” he added. Patton nodded, and stood up slowly. "Fine…” he said. “But what about a gerbil? Or a fish? A cat? A parakeet? A turtle? A chinchilla? A snake?” he started to list all of the animals in the store (besides spiders, obviously). "Patton, your landlord doesn’t allow pets, and I’m too busy to take care of them. As are you. As a therapist, your schedule doesn’t leave a ton of free time either.” Patton nodded sadly. “At least I get to see the animals!” he cheered up when he pointed that out himself. He grabbed Logan’s hand and started to lead him around the pet store. After seeing all the animals and quite a few animal puns, Patton was ready to leave the pet store. He waved goodbye to the person working the cashier, who waved back to him with a slightly confused look on his face, before entering the main mall area. By that time, the mall had more people milling around the halls. "After we pick up your book we can head back, okay?” Patton said. Logan nodded, and started to make his way to the book store. Patton was swinging their arms and talking about all the cute animals that had been in the pet store. About halfway through their trek to the other side of the store where the book shop was, Patton froze. "Can we go in the dark store?” Patton asked. Logan looked at him, slightly confused, before Patton gestured to one of the nearby store fronts that had a very dark staircase and dim lighting. "Why? The majority of the items in that store are clothes targeting teenagers, meaning that they will not be in the style of clothing you prefer to wear or in your size,” Logan inquired. "But it has pictures of beaches and the lighting is lit!” Patton said, laughing slightly to himself at the pun he had made. "If you would like to, I see no reason why we cannot, as we have no other tasks to complete today,” Logan said. He had long since given up on his “Me Day,” but he was enjoying himself, so he wasn’t mad about it. Patton smiled and made his way to the entrance, ducking under a low-hanging chandelier in the door. He walked straight past all the clothing, as well as the cashier’s desk, earning a weird look from the person there, and made his way to the back room. In that room a giant screen resembling a projector screen sat a bad quality video of a California beach on it. Patton watched the waves and the people running around on the beach doing normal beachy activities. Logan caught up with him, as he had lagged behind when Patton had taken off, and stood next to him. LThis is fairly nice to look at, despite the quality, but you do know that we can look at this exact same picture on the computer, right?” Logan pointed out. "Yes, but that’s not as fun. It’s more adventurous this way!” Patton said. They stood there for another minute before heading out of the store and continuing their trek to the bookstore. "What’s this book about that you’re looking to get?” Patton asked curiously. “I remember you told me a little about it, but I can’t remember it well.” "Well, it is a fantasy story that is for a target audience of kids, but the story line is very fascinating and it features a number of plot twists and dynamics that even I didn’t see coming,” Logan started explaining as they walked. “It’s about a boy who has the ability to do magic and whose father can do magic, but neither of them want anything to do with the magical world since the boys mother had died in a war that is still going on between mages. However, when he is tested, he ends up still getting into the magical school despite purposefully trying to flunk every test. When he arrives, he is deadest on getting out of there, but ends up quite enjoying himself and making friends with his classmates. As he goes through the year, many facts are revealed that drastically change the way he views himself, his father, and the world that he had been raised to hate. It truly is an incredible series.” By the time Logan had finished summarizing the story, they had arrived at the bookstore. It only took a few minutes for them to find and purchase Logan’s desired book, and then they headed out of the mall, with Patton waving a goodbye to the pets in the window of the pet store. The drive to Logan’s house felt quicker than the drive to the mall had been, since Patton kept asking him questions for him to explain about the series and that was something that he truly enjoyed doing. Patton kept glancing over at him while he was driving, never enough to be dangerous, with a fond smile on his face that didn’t go unnoticed or unreturned. Once they had arrived at Logan’s house, they spent a few more minutes in the car as Logan finished his explanation on his favourite character. Once he had finished and was unbuckling his seatbelt, Patton leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. "Thanks for going with me,” he said leaning back in his seat. “I had a great time.” Logan smiled back at him. “I did too. I’m glad you asked me,” he said as he got out of the car. He waved at Patton as he drove away and started to head back inside of his house. The day was half gone already, so he wasn’t going to get his Me Day. But he liked this better.

A Guide To Chinchillas

This is mostly for me, but if anyone wants a little guide for chinnies than here you go! **I am not a vet, (at least not yet ouo) but I have been ab owner of three different chinchillas for almost four years now and maybe the information I have is useful to someone out there*** Lifespan -Chinchillas can live OVER 20 years! Mind you this is in close to perfect conditions and you would be more likely to find one living around 10 years, give or take. Caging -I HIGHLY suggest a Ferret Nation cage (or something strong enough to hold them). I would only suggest a one story cage if you're only getting ONE chinchilla, it gets super overcrowded really fast if you get two and put them together in a one story. Even my two story for my two chins feels too small Frienddssss -Chinchillas are social animals. They may be alright all alone but be sure to spend a lot of time with them. When Fluffy was alone he mainly slept and stayed quiet, with Thero around he's gotten a lot more active, friendly and vocal!! -Chinchillas might get anxious if they are alone, this is of course a given when they are moved from a store/breeder location to a new one, but if months pass and they are still stressed out you may want to consider getting a second chinchilla... Water -ALWAYS supply water, also don't make the mistake I made and just buy the god damn expensive glass water bottle. Trust me they WILL destory those plastic one -glares at Fluffy, three chewed water bottles laying at his feet- Hay -Timothy!!! Always have Timothy on hand. If you want to be 100% serious about this you might have to buy hay bales from a farm supplier or a bulk store that can be trusted. Some pet stores are known to sell old hay. If theres a date on the hay package, check it and get the lastest harvested bag. -They CAN have Alfalfa, not too much though! Its more of a treat. Feed them a light handful twice a week if you want especially while regulating their Calcium levels. Pellets -Always a timothy based pellet!! No mixes either that include "super beneficial veg and fruits!!" Its far from beneficial. Straight up pellets work best. Trust me they can and will get diarrhoea, once I spent an hour picking pellets from their food because I didn't want them eating the other stuff. Here's the prime values you should look for too: 16-20% of Protein 2-5% Fats/Lipids 15-35% Fibre Always more Ca than P, they can get a calcium deficiency from a higher Phosphorus percentage, and that can be life or death. Treats -No raisins, of fruits (dried or fresh). Or any of the other obvious stuff like chocolate and chips. They typically can have rosehips, unsweetened cheerios (1-2 at a time), or just about anything but what I listed they can't have. Theres quite a bit make sure to look up a proper list Dust -Blue cloud for sure, I've been using it for the first time after using some gritty low-end store stuff and its the bomb. Ugh perfect. Cage items -Things for them to chew, always. I currentlt have a wooden bridge and a coconut husk in there for them that works just fine for my guys. -Hammocks, both of my boys love their hammock and its absolutely adorable watching them awkwardly fit in it and sleep -Pottys, two is best especially if you have one younger chinchilla. They can pee EVERYWHERE and it smells gross. That thinf about chinchilla pee being odourless is a complete lie, shun anyone who tells you otherwise. Tuck them in corners thats where they like to pee. Watch to see where your chinchilla likes to go the most and put the potty there with some bedding or rodent litter to ensure they won't be sitting in their puddle of pee next time they go. Huts -My guys don't really use this unless they are hiding from me, but some anxious chinchillas might like it. Thero did for his first month and now he uses it occasionally. Foodbowl -Obviously, I have this hay/pellet feed rack that I adore. You can put the hay in a slow feeder and the pellets in the littlw bowl in the front. All my bowls and hay feeders are going to waste. Mineral/salt blocks -stay away from salt blocks YOU DO NOT NEED THEM they get plenty of salts from their food -Mineral blocks are for pregnant and ill chinchillas. Get it in an emergency kit and use it 1-2 times a week for a few hours. I'm currently using it on Thero to regulate his Ca levels Ideal "look" of chinchilla -thick fur, if it looks thin it may be a Vitamin C or Calcium deficiency, get them on some oxbow Vitamin C tablets or better yet bring them to the vet. They might also not be getting enough sand baths -clear eyes. No gunk. I had Fluffy get a gunky eye once and it scared the hell out of me. I got some saline drops and used them for a week until it cleared up (and a little after tocmake sure it was gone). No clue what happened but it worked. Another item to add to an emergency kit. -Missing toes? No worries! Thats actually pretty normal with chinchillas that have been housed together. Fluffy is missing a bunch of toes thanks to (likely) years of harassment from other chinchillas before I got him. They'll be fine. -Clear fur. If you got a white mosaic chinchilla like me you'll know the terror of pee stained fur. To fix this you can add a tablespoon of corn starch to a cup of your dust and mix it. It works!! -Long whiskers, if you have two chinchillas together one might have them bitten down, this is a sign of dominance and usuallt happens between mating pairs. Fluffy had his chewed down by the girls before I got him 😂 - Not fat, but skinny. If you can feel bones your chinchilla is definitely too skinny, your chinchilla is probably obease when they can't jump without falling, Fluffy is oretty thick but he's always been thick, no matter what I do, and he's still pretty active Anything I missed?? Make sure to comment it so other people can see it! I'll do my best to keep on top of adding them to this guide as well

A Long Time Coming (Chapter 1)

This story takes place a month after my previous stories. All of my previous stories took place in April, meaning that this story takes place during the month of May as Frisk, Chara, and Asriel are currently in their final weeks of school. As usual, this is a tickle fic and as the title would suggest, it looks like someone (or more than one character) is going to get something that they’re long overdue for. So enjoy!

A LONG TIME COMING

Chapter 1: A Different Type of Alarm Clock

It is a Saturday morning at Toriel’s house. Asriel, Chara, and Frisk have just finished another week of school and it actually won’t be much longer until they’re all finished for the year. Toriel, Asriel, and Chara are by themselves on this particular day and Frisk is currently with Asgore. After the barrier was destroyed, Asgore asked Frisk to act as the ambassador for the monsters. Frisk accepted Asgore’s request and both her and Asgore attend meetings at least once a month, and that’s what Frisk is doing on this particular day. Asgore attends the meetings with Frisk since he is still the king of the monsters. In retrospect, Toriel should probably be the one to attend the meetings with Frisk since she was the “brains” when she and Asgore ruled the underground as queen and king respectively. As lovable as Asgore is, he’s not exactly the most organized monster (He’s been getting better though). It makes sense that Toriel doesn’t attend the meetings because she already has enough on her plate with being in charge of an elementary school. It’s also because Asgore ruled by himself for quite some time and because Toriel is no longer married to Asgore. Overall, it is perfectly fine that Asgore is with Frisk instead. There have never been any issues during the meetings and there most likely never will be since Frisk’s charisma is off the charts. After the meeting is over, Frisk and Asgore will spend the rest of the day together at his quiet home in the woods (which is in perfect living condition for children by the way) and then Asgore will drop Frisk off at Toriel’s house the following day.

After a long week of school, both Asriel and Chara were happy that the weekend finally arrived. Before Asgore picked Frisk up the previous night, Chara actually spent the majority of the week with Asgore and when he gets back, he will be taking Asriel back to his place since it is once again Asriel’s turn to spend some alone time with his father. It is currently 9:00am and Chara has just woken up from a good night sleep. Chara and Asriel usually wake up at 9:00am on Saturdays. The first thing Chara noticed when she woke up was the smell of breakfast cooking downstairs. Toriel was baking waffles (She doesn’t just bake pies, though she is planning on baking on tomorrow morning before Asriel leaves with Asgore) and Chara made no hesitation to go downstairs and help her mother with breakfast, so she decided to leave her pjs on and change into her normal clothes later. She was wearing a white t-shirt with green pajama bottoms and slippers. Chara assumed that Asriel wouldn’t be too far behind, so she decided to head downstairs without checking up on him.

Toriel: Why good morning Chara. Did you get a good night sleep?

Chara: I sure did Mom.

Toriel: The two of you must have been REALLY TIRED since both of you went to bed earlier than usual last night.

Chara: Yeah, this week of school was rough. I think Asriel was actually more tired than I was.

Toriel: Well you know how it is Chara. We are in the final weeks of school after all. Even I’ve been more tired than usual.

Chara: As much as the three of us love school, I’m sure we’ll all be happy when we’re done for the year.

Toriel: I believe you may be right about that my child. I know I will. I’ve been grading homework nonstop for the past two weeks! By the way, is Asriel coming downstairs soon?

Chara: I didn’t check. I assumed he would be right down since he usually wakes up the same time as me.

Toriel: We can let him rest a little while longer. In the meantime, you can help me prepare breakfast like you always do.

Chara: Sounds great Mom.

For the next fifteen minutes, Chara helped Toriel get breakfast ready and set the table while Asriel was still sleeping upstairs. Toriel is not baking frozen waffles. She makes her waffles from scratch! It takes much longer but the end results are amazing. And she even puts in her own special ingredient, love… and a hint of cinnamon. She even makes her own syrups for the waffles. Frisk, who will sadly miss out on this wonderful breakfast, usually has her waffles with blueberry syrup and blueberries; Asriel likes his waffles with raspberry syrup, raspberries (of course, lol), and whipped cream; and Chara, not surprising anyone, likes her waffles with chocolate syrup, chocolate chips, and in an attempt to be healthy, strawberries. Toriel is even frying up some bacon as a source of protein for the day. They’ve got a big day of chores ahead of them and Toriel feels that an amazing breakfast of waffles with a side of bacon will help the three of them get through the day. Tomorrow’s weather forecast calls for rain, so getting the chores done today is the right move. Good thinking Toriel.

Toriel: Alright Chara, I can take it from here. How about you go wake Asriel up for breakfast. I don’t want him sleeping in too late this morning. We have many chores to do around here and we could sure use his help.

Chara: On it Mom.

It wasn’t too long until Chara went back upstairs to wake up Asriel. For temperature differences, Asriel has his own separate bedroom while Chara shares her bedroom with Frisk. This was never an issue for the Dreemurrs while living underground, but now that the monsters are on the surface, they’ve had to make adjustments to all of the various changes in the weather. Because Asriel and Toriel have fur, they get much warmer than Frisk and Chara. As a result, the house overall is a bit cooler than what one would prefer. Frisk and Chara got used to it and the two of them actually have a thermostat designed exclusively for their bedroom that they can adjust at any time to a warmer temperature. Asriel having his own room however doesn’t stop Frisk and Chara (more often Frisk) from coming in and snuggling with him every once in a while. He was very popular during the winter months. Although Frisk and Chara are girls, they have interests and hobbies that are more common in boys and both of them dislike “girly things.” But one thing they do that’s more common from girls is snuggling with Asriel… and constantly telling him that he’s cute (That’s only because he is!). But if you think about it, a 12-year-old boy might not exactly mind snuggling with Asriel. After all, his fur is so soft… and warm… and cozy… that snuggling with him might just be the most amazing thing ever!

Chara: *enters Asriel’s room* Asriel, time to wake up.

Asriel: Ugh. Just a few more minutes Chara.

Chara: Don’t forget about all those chores we have to do today.

Asriel: Yeah, I’ll worry about them later. I’m still tired.

Chara: Come on Asriel. Mom’s making us breakfast right now.

Asriel: I’ll heat it up later.

Chara: *with a smile on her face* She’s making waffles Asriel! I know how much you love Mom’s waffles! And she’s frying some bacon too! I know how much you love bacon! Doesn’t that just make you wanna get out of bed? I know I’d wanna get out of bed if I knew Mom was making waffles… and bacon!

Asriel: *with a bit of anger in his voice* I said I’ll toss them in the microwave later! Now, please go away! I’m trying to sleep! *throws a pillow in Chara’s direction*

Chara: Alright Asriel, you win. I’ll let you sleep. In fact, I’ll even help you get back to sleep.

Asriel: And just how are you going to do that?

Asriel was being rather stubborn about waking up this morning. He’s normally a very easy going monster, but he must have been really exhausted if he doesn’t want to wake up just yet. So Chara decided to help him get back to sleep the one way she knew how, by petting him. Asriel was wearing a plain green t-shirt with black shorts and Chara lifted his shirt and stroked his tummy with both of her hands.

Chara: Like this. *strokes Asriel’s belly*

Asriel: *moan of happiness* Chara, that feels nice.

Chara: If you think that feels nice. How do you like this? *moves one hand up to his chest*

Asriel: *another moan of happiness* I love it. *repeatedly kicking his right leg*

Chara: *giggling*

Asriel: What?

Chara: *still giggling* It’s like I’m petting a dog.

Asriel: Ugh whatever. Just keep it up. *yet another moan of happiness* You’re doing great!

Chara continued petting her brother for the next three minutes. Asriel discovered a month ago that he loves being pet and Chara just loves how she can make him happy just by stroking his fur. It’s one of Chara’s favorite pastimes and she was petting fur that might just be softer than that of a chinchilla. So that’s a huge bonus!

Chara: Are you getting sleepy Azzy?

Asriel: *yawns* I sure am Chara.

Chara: Well good. Because now it’s time to… WAKE UP!! *tickles Asriel’s underarms*

Asriel: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!! CHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHARA!!! NAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAA!!! *SNORT* WHAAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAT ARE YOU DOHOHOHOOHOHOING!!!

Chara: Tickling you Silly! How else am I gonna wake you up?!

Asriel: AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!! STAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAP TICKLING MEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEE!!! *SNORT* AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAA!!!

Chara: What’s the matter Azzy? I thought you loved being tickled!

Asriel: I AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA DO!!! AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHA!!! BUT I’M AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAA TRYING *SNORT* TO *SNORT* SLEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEHEEHHEEP!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!!! *SNORT* AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!

Chara: I came up here to get you out of bed and that’s what I plan to do! And besides, you knew this was coming at some point! I haven’t woken you up like this in years!

Chara was determined to get Asriel out of bed and she figured that tickling him would be the best way to do it. Chara used to wake Asriel up quite often by tickling him when the two of them were younger and now that they have an interest in tickling again; it was only a matter of time until Chara would eventually do this again. Chara decided to trick Asriel into making him think that she wanted to help him get back to sleep and then catch him completely off guard by tickling him. Asriel tried to fight back but his efforts were incredibly ineffective. Chara still had her hands under Asriel’s shirt and the feeling of her fingers on his sensitive skin was more than enough to make him howl with hysterical laughter. Although Asriel was not fully awake yet, he was much more alert than he was moments ago.

Asriel: AHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!! *SNORT* AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHAHA!!! CHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHARA PLEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEEASE!!! I WANT TO SLEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEP!!!

Chara: Well I want to get you out of bed! And I think it’s about time I kick things up a notch! *moves her hands to Asriel’s tummy*

Asriel: NOOHOHOHOHOOHHOOOHOHOOHHOOOHO!!! THAAHAHAHAHAT TICKAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!!

Chara: I’m sorry, what was that? I can’t hear you over the sound of your laughter!

Asriel: IT TIHIHHIHIIHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAHAAHAHAHAAHHAAHAA!!! *SNORT* AHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAAHAHAA!!! *SNORT*

Chara: How about I tickle you… here! *tickles Asriel’s bellybutton* This has to get you out of bed for sure!

Asriel: AHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

Chara continued tickling Asriel all over his tummy for the next two minutes. She used her right index finger to tickle his bellybutton while continuing to scribble her left hand fingers all over his tummy. Chara believes that tickling Asriel’s bellybutton will get him out of bed. But if not, there’s one other area she can tickle him that will definitely get him out of bed.

Asriel: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHA!!! BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

Chara: Ok Asriel, you’ve got to be fully awake now! *stops tickling Asriel*

Asriel: *heavily breathing* Ok Chara! I’m up! I’ll start moving right away!

Chara: Oh good. Now that you’re fully awake… *turns around and kneels over Asriel’s legs* TICKLE FIGHT!!! *tickles Asriel’s feet*

Asriel: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! CHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHARA!!!!!!! NAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAT MY FEEEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEET!!!!!!! AHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAHAHA!!!!!!! HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHA!!!!!!!

Chara: This is being a jerk earlier Azzy! Hehehe! *rapidly tickles Asriel’s soles*

Chara couldn’t resist tickling Asriel’s feet before going back downstairs and Asriel had it coming for being so stubborn earlier. Chara tickled every inch of her brother’s soles for the next two minutes and Asriel was driven into a frenzy of both hysterical and maniacal laughter. Although Asriel is now fully awake, the ticklish sensations on his feet prevented him from fighting back and all he could do was lie in his bed and laugh and laugh and laugh as he frantically squirmed and thrashed around as much as he possibly could. Asriel’s legs were trapped, so Chara had absolutely no problem tickling his feet as he shook around with his heavy movement. Chara started out tickling Asriel’s soles slowly since that’s enough to make him burst into laughter, and it wasn’t too long until she tickled his soles much faster since that’s what gets the best laughs possible out of the young boy. Asriel has an incredibly hard time speaking whenever his feet are being tickled in a rapid manner. And every time he makes an effort to actually say something, only gibberish comes out.

Chara: What was that? I don’t speak gibberish Azzy! And besides, I think it’s about time these toes got the attention they so rightfully deserve! *tickles Asriel’s toes*

Asriel: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! *gibberish* AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!!! BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!! *gibberish* AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!! *SNORT* AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! Chara tickled Asriel’s toes for three minutes. For the first minute, she poked each one of six toes. Asriel’s toes are so ticklish that just poking them is enough to make him burst into hysterical laughter. For the second minute, she wiggled each one his toes and once again performed “This Little Temmie” on each one of them just like she did a month ago. And for the last minute, Chara tickled Asriel in between his toes and made him laugh and bleat at an incredibly loud volume since those are his “death spots.” Asriel was a laughing mess and he’s definitely more than awake now!

Asriel: AHAAHHAHAAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!! BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!! As Chara continued tickling Asriel’s feet, Toriel quietly entered the room and saw what was going on. Chara didn’t notice because she was looking at Asriel’s cute feet the entire time.

Toriel: *looks at Asriel and winks at him*

Chara: I just love tickling you Azzy! It’s so much fun! And hopefully you’re learning your lesson!

After a few seconds, Toriel grabbed Chara and pulled her off of Asriel and one of her slippers fell off while she was being pulled away. Chara was completely startled when her mother grabbed her and she almost thought she was going to get in trouble. Toriel then sat down on the floor with Chara cradled in her lap and it wasn’t too long until Toriel began tickling her tummy and ribs, almost immediately sending her into giggles.

Chara: Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehee! Mom! Whehehehehehere did you hehehehehheheheehe come from?! I didn’t heheheheheeehhehear you come in heheheheheheheheheheehehe!

Toriel: I’m sneaky Chara! You know that! And besides, you’re long overdue for some tickles… from me! Nobody escapes from “Tori the Tickler!”
