CHAPTER TWO: HONGJOONG'S DREAM
Hongjoong’s dream wasn’t always the same. Some things changed from time to time. But two things were constant. He was always alone, and he was sleeping, until someone’s steps woke him up, and when he opened his eyes, there was a man, all dressed in black, staring at him under a fedora hat.
Hongjoong never saw the man’s face, because of the mask he wore, and the man never spoke to him, just held a weird golden hourglass in his direction. And even though Hongjoong was afraid of the stranger, he never wanted to try to escape from the man. It was like he was his destiny, and he wasn’t afraid of facing it.
When he woke up, it was like a bomb had just dropped, making him lose his pace, his ears were zunning and he felt kinda lost, not knowing where he was. The night was hot, and he was sweating and panting.
It’s just a dream. He repeated to himself more times than he could count. But the truth was the sometimes, that felt so real, much more like a vision, a deja vu.
Hongjoong looked around, trying to find out where he was, since he wasn’t on his bed in the school dorm. He felt the leather fabric under his hands and knew exactly where he was.
The only light was the weak silver light of the crescent moon coming from a hole in the ceiling of the warehouse. Dammit, he stayed longer than he expected there and ended up falling asleep. He would end up in trouble again at the dorms.
He should have listened to Seonghwa when he told him to go back to the dorms, but he didn’t, and now there was no point in going back, it was already too late. The smart thing to do was to go back to the school early in the morning.
He laid down on the couch again, trying to be comfortable, but the vivid dream was still in his mind. He didn’t remember when the dream started, but it had followed him since he could remember, at least once a month, sometimes more. However, he never told anyone about that weird dream, or the strange man in the fedora hat. And even though he researched allot about dreams, he didn’t find anything helpful about what the dream could mean.
“It was just a dream” he repeated, aloud, letting the sleep crawl over his mind as he was alone in the warehouse.
***
Over San’s bed were both of his school uniforms. He only wore his old uniform for three months, then his parents told him they had to move again, and there was nothing he could do besides packing his this. He stayed for such a short time in the old school, and knowing how thing work, he didn’t even tried to make friends, he knew sooner or later he would move to another place, and leave everything behind, so why make an effort?
He looked at his new student ID and his new uniform, laying beside the old one. His parents had promised they would stay longer this time, that they were not going to have to move to another place for a while, but they had made that promise before, in vain, so hi wasn’t really looking forward to go to his new school, or to meet new people. He had accepted that was his life, being alone and going from city to city in a couple months.
He picked up his new uniform. He needed to get ready for his first day of school, right in the middle of the semester. He went down the stairs when was ready, carrying his school bag in his shoulder. The breakfast was on the table, with a note from his mother.
“Had to go to work earlier than I expected, sorry for not being able to give you a ride on your first day. Eat your breakfast and text me later to tell me how school was.
-I love you, mom.”
He grabbed a toast and a cup of juice. He didn’t care to sit, just finished the food by the sink and headed to school, ready to spend another day being alone and invisible
San loved his parents, but he missed the time he was younger and used to live with his grandparents. When things in his life were more stable, when he had a routine that worked for more than just a few months, when he had friends.
Now however, he had traveled through almost half the country, staying in each place for just a few months because of his parents’ work. He had been in six different schools only in the last two years, and even though he managed to keep his good grades, keeping friends was a lot harder, so he stopped trying at some point.
But there was something about that city that made him optimistic. The city in particular was so small that reminded San of the city where he grew up and lived with his grandparents, which was a good thing. Even though he wasn’t exactly happy about the move, he could at least enjoy the small town air.
*** Yunho set his alarm for much earlier that morning. It was his first day back at school in a few weeks and he wanted to leave the house before meeting his parents. They thought that Yunho wasn’t ready to return to class yet after the accident. Yunho, in turn, couldn’t stand spending so much time at home. He understood that his parents were still emotionally shaken by the loss of his brother, he was too. But staying at home was only making the situation worst.
So he prepared his uniform and material the night before, woke up early in the morning and left before his parents ha woken up, so they couldn't try to convince him not to go. He also texted Hongjoong the night before, asking him if he could stay at his dorm if he arrived at school to early, but he didn’t got any answer, so he texted Seonghwa, who agreed to go to school earlier to help Yunho with all the homework he lost.
He met Seonghwa on the bus, they talked a lot, more about school matters, what made Yunho feel a lot better. Seonghwa and his other friends had visited him while he was out of school because of his brother’s death. They did their best to try make Yunho talk bout his grief, but he wasn't very good at t. His pain was his on, he didn’t want to make his friends carry his weight. So he asked then to talk about other things with him, Hongjoong was specially very good at making Yunho feel comfortable, and Yunho thought part of it was because he was very likely his brother, and having such presence around him made him feel less lonely, but none less guilty.
“Do you want to go to the warehouse after school? We can finish some homework and then play a bit of basketball.” Seonghwa suggested, they were sitting at the library, Yunho was a bit lost in thoughts for a while but Seonghwa’s words brought him back.
“Yes, sure.” Yunho said. “It will be good to reunite with the whole gang.” he said, smiling weakly.
“Good.” Seonghwa said, grabbing his phone from his pocket. “And talking about the gang… Jongho just texted me, him and Woo just arrived.”
“Let’s go meet them” Yunho said, picking up his notebooks.
***
Jongho was by the school gates with his friends from the basketball team, they were ll teasing each other because of the last game, but he wasn’t paying much attention to the conversation. He was waiting for someone.
He was playing with the juice box he brought when he saw her. Han Soojin. She was, as always, focused on her on word, a book in hand, not even paying much attention on the way.
“Hey, Han Soojin.” Jongho said, when she almost past through him without noticing his presence. She looked startled but someone suddenly calling her, but then she sw it was Jongho.
“Hey” she said, smiling politely at him; “Whats up?”
“Just wanted to say hi, and give you this.” He said, handling her the juice box.
“Is it for me?” she asked, surprised.
“Yes, its you favorite right?” he said, putting his hands on his pockets nd trying to look cool.
“Yes, but why are you giving me this?”
“I just wanted to thank you for your help.” he explained. the girl had been helping him with the school tasks for the past week. Even though he didn’t needed any help, but Soojin didn’t knew it.
“Oh, thank you, but you didn’t had to.”
“It was nothing.” Jongho said, brushing it off. “Our study session later today is still up?” he asked, trying not to sound to desperate and pathetic.
“Sure, after your practice, on the library?” she said.
“Actually… do you mind if we study at my house? My mother asked me to stay at home and wait for the plumber, we have a problem with the kitchen plumbing. Would that be too much of a problem?”
She hesitated for a few seconds, thinking about it.
“We can study at my front yard.” he said, trying to make her fell more comfortable.
“I just have to ask my mom first.” she said. “So she can pick me up when we finish. I’ll text her and give you an answer by lunch time, but I think it will not be a problem.”
“Cool.” he said, smiling.
“See you at lunch then.” she said, then walk away.
“See ya.” Jongho said.” And thank you for the help again.”
She smiled shyly and walked away, as Jongho stayed, looking at her with a silly expression.
“Choi Jongho” Wooyoung said with a teasing tone. “Look at you, all lovey dovey with the teachers’ favorite.”
“Shut up.” Jongho said, rolling his eyes to his friend who he didn’t even noticed had arrived.
“Did she already found out you don’t need help wit your grade at all?” Wooyoung asked. He knew Jongho was one of the best students at school, he was just using the tutoring thing as an excuse to spent time with Soojin.
“No… We’ll at least she didn’t gave me any signs that she knows.” Jongho commented.
“Maybe she does know and jst doesn’t want to embarrass you because she is too nice.” Wooyoung said.
“Maybe.” Jongho said. But the truth was that he didn’t care about her reasons, he was happy just to spend some time with her.
“You should just confess to her.” Wooyoung said.
“Not until I am sure she likes me too.” Jongho said. “I don’t want to be rejected.”
“Of course she likes you, dumb ass. You are the captain of the basketball team, all the girls have a crush on you.”
“She’s not like the other girls.” Jongho said.
“Bullshit” Wooyoung said. “You are just being a coward.”
“That’s not of your business, okay? Just forge tit, and don’t talk abuot it with the other, or I’ll punch you in the face.
“Okay Mr. Muscles… ” Wooyoung said, rolling his eyes. “Now let’s go to meet Yunho.”
“Wait… is Yunho back?” Jongho asked, surprised and excited.
“Yes, Seonghwa texted me and told me they are at the library doing late homework, but they are coming to meet me at the courtyard since I was banned from the library.”
Jongho laughed at his friend, who had been banned from the library for speaking too loud, Then they went together to the courtyard to finally meet their friend.
*** Yeosang kept his eyes fixated on the car window, watching as the figures of students and trees they passed by. It was a beautiful morning, it was shame that his father was complaining so early in the morning about how irresponsible and selfish he was.
“Yeosang, are you paying attention?” his father asked, stopping the car by the school gates
He wasn’t paying attention, was too lost on his thoughts while looked through the the window. He spent so much time practicing emptying his mind to not listen to his father complaints that now was hard to actual listen to him.
“I’m sorry.” Yeosang said, quietly, unfasten the seat belt and grabbing his backpack.
“You need to be more attentive.” His father scolded him. “If I receive one more complaint about you not paying attention to classes, I wont let you keep frequenting this stupid clube” His father said. “Do you understand it?”
“Yes, father.” He said and left the car, walking towards the court yard, where he sat alone, finally breathing.
He was so stressed, a stress that only grew at each day. His father was being even more of a control freak since he had found out Yeosang Joined a new club at school, a club he didn’t considered would be helpful to his well calculated and successful future.
Yeosang by his turn just wanted a hobby, he just wanted to do something he had choose, instead of something his parents wanted him to do.
Yeosang was sat minding his own problems when a commotion dragged his attention.
Song Mingi had just bumped at someone. Yeosang didn’t knew the boy, he had never seen him around before, but the boy was smart enough not to talk back at Mingi, probably because he notice how tall he was, and also, because of his threatening look.
So the boy onlu looked down to recolect his books Mingi had made him drop. After Mingi had left, Yeosang helped the boy, since of his books had felt really close to Yeosang.
“Thank you.” The boy said. “What is his problem by the way?”
“You might be new here if you don’t know Song Mingi’s attitude” Yeosang said. “Just stay away from him and you’ll be fine.”
“Thanks for the advice.” The boy said. “I am San, by the way.”
“I am Yeosang.”
“Do you happen to know where the literature class is?” San asked, showing Yeosang a sheet of paper with his schedules.
“I do, I can take you there.” Yeosang said, then he hear another commotion.
Most people couldn’t understand how Mingi actually had friends, how he became best friends with Jeong Yunho, the most bright and kind boy in the whole school, was a bigger mystery.
Mingi was quite the opposite of Yunho. He was a loner, a loser. He had a very hostile attitude towards most of the students and teachers. He was the one with bad grades and a bad attitude.
“HEY JEONG YUNHO.” Mingi shouted from the other side of the country yard. All the students seemed to froze at the sound of his deep voice.
Yeosng saw Yunho turn around slowly, a serious expression on his face. The whole place was in complete silence as Yunho grinned and Mingi pointed an accusatory finger to him. All the students seemed to get ready to witness a big fight. That was Song Mingi, the trouble maker. When Song Mingi shouts your name in the middle of the courtyard, it can’t be a good thing.
“Things seem about to get heat.”San commented.
Yunho was a bit taller than Mingi. Maybe he stood a chance. That was what the students who were watching the scene were thinking.
But what happened was way more of a shock. Yunho walked towards THE Song Mingi and hugged him. And Mingi hugged him back, with a big smile on his lips.
“It’s good to have you back.” Mingi said, taping his back.
“Is good to be back.” Yunho said. “I missed you, bro.”
“That was shocking.” San commented.
But that wasn’t new to Yeosang. Most of the students didn't understand the case with Yunho and his other friends, which were a very odd group. How the best student, the art kid, the social butterfly, the jock, the class clown and the loner end up together was a mystery for who was outside of the situation. But the truth was that how they ended up together didn’t matter, what matter, was why, were they together.
And soon, San and Yeosang would discover the reason.

THE STORYLINE: the timeloop and who are Halateez
Read how the ATEEZ logo is a representation and fundental key element of the Ateez storyline to find out who are Halateez!
Let's look at the Ateez logo from Fever albums...
Tumblr media
Universe A ------- > < ------- Universe Z
It's basically a representation of the two Universes converging, perfectly reflecting the events set in the Fever albums: Ateez moving through Universes with the Cromer.
Talking about the Cromer... the converging "TEE" in the logo itself represents the Cromer, the device they use to travel through the Universes, and that connects the two. The Cromer is an hourglass and therefore has an eight shape, which, reversed is the symbol for "infinte" and "loop".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And what else has an "eight shape" and represents an " infinite timeloop"?
The Möebius strip:
Tumblr media
The Möebius strip has been used to explain time travel theories. It works like this: we start at a point A (pinpoint your point A of choice in the image above) and walk towards an opposite point Z (draw your finger to your opposide point Z of choice). Since the two ends of the strip are connected, we can then continue from point Z and find ourselves back at point A. This means, we can infinitely walk from one to the other creating a loop. Since time passes while we walk from point A to Z, point A is in the past (where we start our journey) and point Z is in the future (the destination of our journey), making the Möebius strip a timeloop.
Let's apply it to Ateez story!
We start in Universe A and we end in Universe Z, in Universe A we find Ateez, in Universe Z Halateez. This means that Halateez are Ateez in the future, and Ateez are Halateez in the past.
N.B. Ateez were born as Ateez and we, the fandom, gave the Universe Z Ateez the "Hala Ateez" name to differentiate the two. Now, according to the canon provided through the Diary Version of the Fever and The World albums, we know that Ateez call themselves the Black Pirates (instead of Halateez) in the future to hide their identities.
When Halateez fail to protect the future from Z, the leader of Strictland/Universe Z, and are about to be captured, they go back in time to bring past Ateez in the future to take over them. This time Ateez, instead of becoming Halateez/The Black Pirates, become the Guerrillas, and this is how we have two timelines:
the Halateez timeline
the Ateez timeline
or (more correct and less confusing)
the Ateez > Halateez/Black Pirates timeline
the Ateez > Guerrillas timeline
Since the Möebius strip has two sides, we can give one side to Halateez timeline and the other one to Ateez > Guerrillas. And since the strip has a twist in the middle, that's the point where the two coexist and meet (see Say My Name and Dejavu mvs where Ateez and Halateez meet).
Why is this the only point in time where the two coexist though?
In the first timeline Ateez went from their past (when the group was formed) to their future (when they turn into Halateez/Black Pirates) living the time in between them, and not jumping from point to point. When they as Halateez got hold of the Cromer for the first time and used it to travel through the past they changed this: in the second timeline, Ateez do not walk towards their future anymore, they are brought directly to it through time travel.
Halateez changed their own present time, future and past too, bringing their past selves to their present time/Ateez future: since there's no Ateez in the past anymore because they were brought to the future, they can't live to become Halateez like they did before, and that's why Halateez do not exist anymore in the future, why we don't see them outside of Say My Name or Dejavu. Halateez timeline was replaced by Ateez > Guerrillas timeline and they therefore chased to exist.
So yes, r.i.p Halateez 😔
Tumblr media
This timeline distinction is *fundamental * to understand which version of Ateez from which timeline we see in each music video and hear about in each song...
> read next : THE STORYLINE 4: ATEEZ or HALATEEZ? Who we see in each music video - COMING SOON!

Movement diary ver. - Thoughts 💭
Hola! I've finally been able to read the new MOVEMENT entries, and I think with this new era a new journey begins for both sides, ateez-black pirates.
So, I want to write down my thoughts here ☺️
Tumblr media
! REMINDER: These are some first thoughts, possibly I’m quite wrong at first, I just want to present everything that I have understood about the story for this comeback.
👁👁 If you continue reading, it’s because you are interested in my opinion and ideas (or just bored lol it’s okay) and I appreciate it. So I'm going to be brief and clear so as not to bore you.
📑 Main highlights:
These new entries talk about the dynamics in 'Strict land' (world z) which is the dimension where 'The central government' rules
> Now we are also introduced by a nickname to the dictator and ruler of this world: Z.
I understand that this period in the lore takes place AFTER the fever series, but also AFTER the treasure series. What does it mean? That this takes place after Dejavu and Say my name.
> This is partially confirmed by Hongjoong.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Guerrilla MV we see that Ateez manages to install musical devices to provoke a reaction in the population of Strict Land. If they can get people to wake up from their trance, the next step is for them to use an anti-device to block the controller chip that oppresses people's emotions. If I'm not mistaken, this device is called ‘The Breaker’, and it could be this or something similar:
Tumblr media
Now that they have lit a rebellious spark in society, the important thing is to find Z's whereabouts. They have several plans, but it will take time because they know that Z will be highly protected.
❓New story:
Tumblr media
A child who has awakened from his trance cries out for Black Pirate’s help and they listen to his story. Although he has managed to wake up, his brother was brutally overwhelmed by his emotions upon using the breaker and the guardians have him confined.
In order to save the boy's brother, Ateez and the Black Pirates are going to hatch a plan to infiltrate in 'Prestige Academy' where the kid and his brother study. This place could also be a direct link to find Z, so this will be a new mission for both, ateez and black pirates to work together and defeat The Central Government.
Tumblr media
There are is more information that could hint us that this is taking place AFTER treasure/say my name. Since they mention about Yeosang’s kidnapping but now he is with them.
However if this takes place after Answer is still blurred. The song Sector One could indicate us some kind of follow-up after the battle taking place in this abstract dimension.
If there is something I might be wrong feel free to comment me (kindly always please) ~ I love this comeback which I think it’s focused in Ateez and Black Pirates getting to work together in the same dimension.
Thank you for reading! Hopefully I can update more of my theories soon! ✨

CHAPTER ONE: MINJI'S DREAM.
The dream was always the same. A younger version of Minji was sitting in a large room in what appears to be an abandoned warehouse. The place was completely dark, except for the light coming in from a skylight in the ceiling.
She is sitting at the table in the center of the room, on which there is a book. The blue leather-bound volume had a curious symbol engraved on the cover, an hourglass in the center of a circle very similar to a globe.
"The universe is divided into many dimensions." It's the phrase on the first page of the book, and when she turns the page, she finds once again the drawing of an hourglass, this time, hand painted on the page covered with characters that she didn't have time to read, because her attention was attracted by the sound of footsteps echoing through the warehouse.
As she looks towards the sound of steps, she sees a silhouette emerging from the shadows, walking towards her. Her heart tightens, it's as if suddenly she can't move. As she gets closer, she realizes that the silhouette belongs to a boy. He would look very normal if it wasn't for his blue hair.
Dressed in black and carrying the curious object portrayed in the book, the blue-haired boy calmly approaches Minji, a faint smile on his lips, as if to transpose her.
She feels like she should run, that's what she wants to do, but her body simply won't move, so she continues sitting, just staring at the boy, who just reaches the light, extends his hand, nodding his head so that the girl takes the golden hourglass he carries.
Minji reaches out and takes the artifact. The boy smiles at her and nods. He doesn't say anything, but something seems to click when the girl picks up the artifact, as if the object should be with her. The boy takes a step back and a bluish light begins to emanate from the hourglass and Minji wakes up, sweating and panting, sitting up in bed in a sudden movement.
"Are you okay?" Siyeon, who was sitting on the bed on the other side of the room with a book resting on her knees and a small flashlight in her hands, asked.
Minji nodded. She didn't remember the first time she had that dream, but it had been with her for years. And the feeling she had when she woke up was always the same. That she couldn't escape, that even in the real world, when she was awake, he would find her. The blue haired-boy.
Which was ridiculous, since Minji had never seen anyone even remotely similar to the blue-haired boy in her dreams. How could someone who didn't exist pursue her? Persecution didn't seem like the most logical word to describe the situation, but that was exactly how she felt.
Siyeon was still staring at her, more curious than worried, she pointed the flashlight at her roommate, who squinted her eyes.
"Had a nightmare?" She asked.
"Kinda." Minji answered, with a confused expression.
"How can you kinda have a nightmare?" Siyeon asked and Minji just shrugged, trying to find a more comfortable position on the bed.
She signaled to her friend that she was going to go back to sleep, or at least try, and instructed her to do the same. Siyeon agreed that she should, since the light might bother Minji and their new roommate, the girl who arrived at the mansion that week, and still didn't exchange a word with any of the girls from the school.
But it still took her a while to abandon the book in her lap, she had to finish it, since it would be discussed the next day at the book club, a book that she should have already finished, but wasn't even halfway through, what made her worried that Sua would get mad at her for not finishing the reading in time.
What she didn't know was that Sua hadn't finished the book either, and was very busy at that exact moment, in another corner of the mansion, with other books and a not-so-benevolent purpose.
****
"Maybe she can't speak, just like Minji?" Gahyeon suggested.
"Gahyeon!" Handong scolded the girl, poking her with the elbow. "You shouldn't say things like this."
The girls were at their usual table at the mansion cafeteria, and Minji was sitting right in front of Gahyeon, drinking a cup of tea, beside her, Yoohyeon, Minji's best friend, was looking with an annoyed face at Gahyeon.
"I'm not mocking her or being mean." Gahyeon protested "Is it wrong to say the truth now?"
Handong couldn't believe the youngest. She just turned to Mnji, saying that she was sorry for her friend's behavior. Minji just brushes it away. Gahyeon wasn't trying to hurt her, they were friends, she was just a little unconsciously mean from time to time, a lot of the richest girls were sometimes, but it wasn't the case at that moment. And it wasn't like she said something wrong, MInji couldn't talk, she was mute. But assuming the new girl was mute too just cause she didn't approach anyone, was kind of wrong.
"Maybe she's just really shy, or nervous." Siyeon suggested "It's normal not to feel so comfortable around new people."
They were talking about the new girl, the one who was sharing the room with Minji and Siyeon. She arrived at the beginning of the week, and all the girls knew about her was her name: Dami.
The girl was attending all classes since she arrived, but never talked to anyone, even to the teachers, she just ignored everyone and kept walking alone through the school.
"I heard she came from a mental hospital." Gahyeon whispered.
"Okay, I had enough of you for today." Yoohyeon said, getting up.
"What? I'm just saying what I heard." Gahyeon protested.
"You shouldn't spread everything you heard from your rich mean friends." Yoohyeon scolded her. Then she turned to Minji. "I see you in class."
"Are you coming to the book club meeting later?" Siyeon asked as the girl walked away. "Sua will get mad if you don't."
"I'll be there." She answered without turning around.
Siyeon sighed, less worried.
"Where is she, by the way?" Minji asked, not obtaining an answer. The one who could give an answer was the one who just left: Yoohyeon, who was Sua's roommate.
"She's probably in the library, or in the photography club room." Handong pointed. "She's spending a lot of time there lately working on a project."
"I don't understand how she stands to stay in that dark room for so long. I find that room suffocating." Gahyeon commented.
"I have to agree with you on that." Siyeon said. She was still with the book in hand, now a lot more close to the end. She would have finished it by the evening before dinner when the book club meeting was scheduled.
The bell announcing the end of the breakfast and beginning of classes rang, interrupting the girl's conversation. The girls started to get up with their trails.
"Are we going to the corner shop tonight?" Gahyeon whispered to Minji after they left the cafeteria. "I'm running out of snacks."
"I don't think it is a good idea." Minji pointed out.
"But it has been more than two weeks since the designated break! We always go to the corner shop after the book club meetings!" Gahyeon sulked.
"I think Minji is right." Handong pointed out "We can't go out and break the curfew when there is someone else we don't know well enough sleeping in their room. What if the new girl snitches us?"
"WAIT?" Gahyeon said. making the other three girls stop in the hallway. "So you having a new roommate we don't trust means we are never going to sneak out of the academy again? UNTIL WE GRADUATE?"
"I hadn't thought about it." Minji pointed out, seeming worried about that possibility.
"We need a solution, really quick." Siyeon said, as the girls headed to their respective classes.

"So hum... Dami, how were your first days?" The counselor asked.
Dami was sitting in his fancy office, the room filled with bookshelves would be very cozy and inviting if the circumstances were different. The counselor seemed like a decent guy. Hair well cut and neat, clothes clean and ironed. He wore a placid expression as he watched, waiting for an answer that didn't come.
It didn't matter that he seemed like a nice person, she had already learned not to trust anyone. Dami didn't want to talk about how her first week had been. In fact, she didn't want to talk about anything.
And yet, everyone around her continued to direct questions at her.
What is your name? Where are you from? Why are you here? Do you want to sit with us? Almost everyone at the academy seemed so friendly, always kind and curious, willing to help her with whatever she needed. Of course there were also some people talking shit on her back. She heard some girls in the bathroom speculating about her and the circumstances that led her there. But they were a minority, as far as she knew.
She didn't expect that when she found out she was going to a boarding school. She expected spoiled rich girls, hateful teachers and a horrible place. But the academy was a pleasant place, an old house but very well maintained and cared for.
Many of the girls who lived and studied there were very rich indeed, but there were also girls like Dami, who were lucky enough to end up there after not very fortunate circumstances. And they all recognized how lucky they were to be there, being well cared for and receiving a good education.
Everything there seemed perfect, and that was what bothered Dami the most. How could a place like that exist?
Coming from where she came from, after what she'd been through, all the perfection of that place seemed elusive. The real world wasn't like that, was it?
"I know new beginnings can be difficult" the man who seemed to realize he wouldn't get an answer began "But I hope you start to feel at home here soon."
Home... Dami didn't understand the meaning of that word.
"I'm sure the girls are excited to meet you." he guaranteed. "Your roommates..."
"About that" Dami spoke for the first time, causing the man's eyes to light up.
"Can I have a room of my own?"
The glint in the counselor's eyes disappeared.
"The girls weren't nice to you?" he wanted to know.
"Quite the opposite" She had to admit it "They are very kind and polite."
The counselor smiled, proud of his choice to her roommates. But soon his smile faded in confusion.
"But if they are so nice, why do you want a room of your own?" he wanted to know.
"I still don't feel comfortable sharing a room after... You know." she didn't finished the sentence, she didn't had to, he knew what she was talking about. "I'm not sleeping well yet, and when I fall asleep... Sleepwalking starts again."
"Are you still having sleepwalking episodes?" he asked, worried, taking notes on his notepad.
"Yes." Dami lied. She hadn't had any sleepwalking episodes since arriving at the academy, at least she hadn't had any signs of it when she woke up, but she didn't want to share a room, so she needed a convincing excuse.
"It could be dangerous to the girls, I don't want to hurt anyone" she added. The counselor pondered for a moment.
"Having roommates is important for your socialization." He commented "But if sleepwalking worries you I can see if we can get you a private room. On one condition.
Of course, everything was going too well as she'd planned.
"You need to socialize in other ways... Join a club, maybe?" he suggested.
Dami didn't want to socialize, she wanted to stay as far away from everyone as possible, until she could think of a way to escape that place.
"I can try," she agreed, just to try to reel the man in.
"That's great" the counselor said, opening one of the drawers in his desk and taking out a sheet which he handed to the girl. "You can choose and fill out the form." he said, handing her the list of clubs and sports teams. He really wasn't willing to be tricked, but Dami wasn't about to give up a room of her own, so she skimmed through the list, analyzing the available options. Dancing, music, volleyball, photography... Everything seemed to require a lot of effort, until her eyes found the right words.
"Reading Club". she announced, and the man smiled, satisfied, handing her a form to fill out.
"That's great" he said "I'll ask Siyeon, your roommate, to accompany you to your first club meeting, she's one of the founders of the club, she'll be very happy to welcome you as a new member."
Dami didn't answer. She wasn't the least bit interested in the club, she just thought it would be the easiest to deal with on the list.
"Actually, I think they have a meeting tonight before dinner." the counselor announced, making her even more disappointed with her decision. "You will love it, the girls are very smart and always choose amazing books."
She wasn't really interest in all of that, bit she would have to pretend for a while if she wanted to be free. And God, how she wanted it.
****
Sua caressed the black leather cover of the book she was holding. It was a really old and rare exhibit. She had been taking care of the book for a while but soon it would be in someone's else hands.
It was almost time. That was all Sua could think about. She had been working on that for so long...
She was stuck in her own world when the bell announcing the beginning of classes rang. She had to go to class, so she protected the book, putting it on a velvet bag and hide it in one of the drawers of the studio table, locking it with a key.
If anyone entered the photography club room, they wouldn't find the book. Not that anyone wanted to be in that room recently, or that anyone could do something with the book.
She left the room and ran to her class. She still had a lot to do for her project, but it had to wait. Soon everything would be ready as she planned.

QUAAACKY 😭😭😭 PLEASE 😭😭😭
Idk what happened to him, but he came out swinging in Fireworks and then decided to just destroy us in Deja Vu. I would fight him if I didn't love him so much 😤😤
You wanna know what's even worse? My other ateez bias is... 🥴🥴 SEONGHWA

So, I fell off the Ateez boat for a bit cuz I'm a multi-stan and all the comebacks piled up on me 🥲 Can you catch me up on what Ateez has been up to? I left off on DejaVu
I thank thee -🍵
OMG😫😫😫 so idk if you ever watched kingdom but basically last year their Album fever epilogue came out basically closing the fever era and it had most of the kingdom songs and then their title song was the real which was the finale song on kingdom but rearranged a bit to make it sound different and add Mingi idk how it fit into the story line but😭
And then they had their tour in December/January AND I WENT 😫😫😫 and they opened with the kingdom version of wonderland and I cried the whole time🥴 and then they kinda went dead for a while, which is understandable, and then they suddenly were dropping like teasers but posting ABSOLUTELY NOTHING so we were all like ??? Omg AND THEN like a month later they posted the actual schedule on IG
So basically they literally used kingdom as promotion for this new album bc in the rhythm ta stage that was like halahalateez is back and this is a halahalateez album basically where they overthrow the government or something 😭 and like which leads to Guerrilla which I have to look up bc I can’t spell it😐😭 and literally the definition of that is “a member of a small independent group taking part in irregular fighting, typically against larger regular forces” which is exactly what they’re doing and what the new album is about which 20/10 recommend every single song and my favorite rn is the ring or the new world but cyberpunk IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE OH MY GOD anyways I recommend all of then
OH AND THEY ANNOUNCED ANOTHER WORLD TOUR FOR NOVEMBER AND IM GOING IDC 🙅🏽‍♀️ ill spend whatever money on it so😭 but nothing has been announced except the dates but imma be at Dallas November 16th🥴 PERIOD.
But yeah that’s basically it- I think I got everything

Summer of K-pop Tag, 6
[introduction/full list of questions]
Today has been rough health-wise, but I wanted to sit down and jot this post out--for myself, mostly, since I'm working on choosing consistency over perfection! Does consistency on this blog really matter? Not particularly, except that I really enjoy posting here (which maybe I should be giving more credit to!), but I'm hoping that attitude will transfer over to other areas of my life, too! I think consistency is good for me, but it's also something I'm notoriously not-great with, especially when it comes to things that I do just for myself.
Happy news: I got a new heating pad today, AND I bought myself an ICEE when I went to pick the heating pad up! I chose the cherry flavor :)
In terms of k-pop news: I saw that an Oh My Girl comeback is happening later this month!! The teaser looks heavenly—I’m hoping we’ll get something like “The Fifth Season” again?? And the Kiss of Life album is on Spotify now, so I'd like to check that out pretty soon! And I keep hearing people shower praise on the Ateez album, so it's been on my mind as something to listen though at some point--I've heard "Wake Up" and "This World" but that's it!
Current Obsessions:
Estúpida Mentira — Ringo Galperin (this again! i think it is a comfort song now)
Questions of the Day: twice: "dance the night away", "more & more", or "talk that talk"?
"More & More" of course. I like "Talk that Talk" quite a lot, but "More & More" has a special place in my heart. It was my first comeback as a fan of Twice (I still remember learning the dance to it back in 2020!!), and it's dark, moody club music, which is a sure way to my heart. Twice sound fantastic on this song, too--it feels like, despite the unfamiliar style, they really made it their own, not too mysterious or brooding. "More & More" just makes me so happy, but "Talk that Talk" does inspire similar feelings for me, including the admiration of their performance skills, so in a few years it may well have "More & More" status in my heart.
[No, I don't like DTNA at all, really. I feel like "DEJAVU" should have been the title track of that album??]
what's your favorite song from twice's taste of love?
"Scandal" was my first love from this album (I mean do you HEAR those house keys at the end of the chorus??), but "Baby Blue Love" won in the long run. "Baby Blue Love" is just such a sweet song, and the chorus has this nice swing to it that makes it really addictive. It's not exactly a cute song, but it uses Twice's experience with cute bubblegum-pop to its advantage--the members sound particularly natural and comfortable here, and that makes it not only my favorite from this album, but also my favorite Twice song ever.
Tomorrow: Red Velvet!
