Paige was ‘excluded’ for a variety of reasons, one of them being no one expected her to stick around because she was seen as just a random slut. Not a “legitimate girlfriend”. The WAGs have a very tight line there, they dont want to be sullied as ‘sluts’ or puck bunnies (even though most of them were both and were desperate for an athlete) they want to keep the wag group ‘legitimate’, so its only serious relationships and girls they ‘trust’ (and trust is a very vague word there). She was messy as fuck. Went after Kappy, once things got rocky, she started following other random players, trying to find her next branch to monkey swing to (one of them was Brandon Tanev) and she was going after baseball players too, one who fucked her snd chucked her, and publicly embarrassed her by admitting it.
But damn it, they immediately accepted Hannah into their ranks !!!

4 Times Marisa Neroni ran into Kevin Hayes and the 1 time she voluntarily went out with him
All Bets Are Off
Nina Jackson has loved the past five years working for the Penguins as a PT. They welcomed her after she finished her DPT and now, after working with a team full of interesting, feisty, and sometimes difficult athletes, it’s time for her to go out on her own into her own practice.
Sidney Crosby isn’t the world’s most patient man but he is definitely one of the most determined men. He’s wanted Nina ever since he saw her but out of respect for her and her career, he’s stayed back. Now that she’s leaving the team…

Then she meets Jonathan Toews and everything changes. (Incomplete due to the shithawks scandal but there is parts in this fic that come up in other fics due to all of the stories overlapping)
Because of The Strand
It was just a casual meeting at The Strand Bookstore, possibly the most famous bookstore in NYC. However, over four seasons, there’s a flicker that doesn’t quite get to flame
All The Stars
Lauren and Chris finally meet again after several years, due to an errand puck. But self doubt may keep this flickering flame from becoming the blaze it deserves to be.

kraken bait 3.5: this is why we can’t have nice things
me on july 11: yes! the expansion draft is in 10 days, my last kraken bait list is finished, everything is good!
me on july 15: gravy to the devils? ok, ok i dig it! messes up my kraken bait list, but oh well.
me on july 17: why are the gms are having a panic sale and fucking everything up
me on july 18: *looks at the protection lists* well fuck.
welcome back for the actual last kraken bait list! the last several days involved a lot of chaos and now a good chunk of my previous list is defunct. lovely.
you guys know the drill by now. it’s a mock expansion draft with some actual predictions and a few funny theories, i had help from my buddy corwin (@chaos-hockey) and a few other folks. i’ll try to keep this short today, so there will be minimal commentary for anything that hasn’t changed from the last list.
*sigh* let’s get on with it. list under the cut.
Anaheim Ducks: Haydn Fleury
going by casey’s reaction, anaheim fucked up their protection list and leaving fleury exposed was a surprise and a mistake. guess it makes sense that the next expansion team also has a fleury (even if marc-andre and haydn aren’t related)
Arizona Coyotes: Christian Fischer
same as last time. next!
Boston Bruins: Jeremy Lauzon
see above. next!
Buffalo Sabres: William Borgen
i went with rasmus asplund last time around, but he got protected by the sabres. guess they want to keep all three rasmi (rasmusses?). so let’s go with... this dude, who is a defenseman one of the writers from The Athletic picked.
Calgary Flames: Mark Giordano
the flames picked tanev over giordano, but i had a feeling that might be the case. giordano will be a good veteran presence in seattle, etc. next!
Carolina Hurricanes: Nino Niederreiter
brady skjei, my pick last time around, got protected. kinga is probably happy, but i had to take a different route. i had a few other ideas (jake bean, petr mrazek), but corwin liked nino to seattle, so here we are! here’s hoping i spelled his name right.
Chicago: Nikita Zadorov
i had adam gaudette here last time around, and while he’s still available, i just think zadorov is a more interesting option to take from chicago. i might have said dylan strome if he wasn’t protected (sabs’ dreams are crushed)
Colorado Avalanche: JT Compher
as i mentioned in my intro, ryan graves, my previous pick, got traded to the devils (woohoo!)- savy joe sakic didn’t want to give him up for nothing. it was between compher and joonas donskoi to take gravy’s place, but i went with JT since he’s a little younger and his contract is a little less. donskoi is the better performer though, so honestly it could go either way.
Columbus Blue Jackets: Dean Kukan
boone jenner was protected, so there goes corwin’s idea. sticking with the same pick from last time. next!
Dallas Stars: Jamie Oleksiak
jason dickinson got traded to the canucks instead of being kraken bait, so that pick was toast. i didn’t really know who else could go here, but corwin liked the idea of oleksiak, so that settled it.
Detroit Red Wings: Vladislav Namestnikov
i’m sticking with it. next!
Edmonton Oilers: Tyson Barrie
this pick is maybe a little more likely now than it was last time since barrie wasn’t protected, but the odds aren’t necessarily great. i still enjoy my wishful thinking. next!
Florida Panthers: Chris Driedger
i think this is my slam dunk pick now, considering it seems like driedger’s already been talking to seattle. next!
Los Angeles Kings: Olli Maata
viktor arvidsson got protected (corwin was wrong), so it was back to the drawing board for the kings. i wanted to pick andreas athanasiou here, but i needed another player who wasn’t a 2021 free agent and i wanted the same forwards/defensemen ratio as last round, so i went with maata instead.
Minnesota Wild: Kaapo Kakhonen
matt dumba got protected, so my wild pick was toast. i also had to make up for a lost goalie spot (more on that soon), so i went with the young goalie out of minnesota.
Montreal Canadiens: Philip Danault
the habs protected jake allen after carey price waived his no move clause, so i was tempted to pick price to fill that goalie spot, but i don’t think it’s gonna happen on account of price’s hefty contract. instead, i went with ufa but good performer danault. i heard his name a lot watching the cup finals, so it works, right?
Nashville Predators: Calle Jarnkrok
calle jarn-kraken. it’s happenin’
New Jersey Devils: Andreas Johnsson
i will talk about my resentment and anxiety that nate bastian was exposed another time. in the meantime, i am trying to hypnotize ron francis from across the country into taking mango.
New York Islanders: Jordan Eberle
keeping it the same. next!
New York Rangers: Colin Blackwell
i honestly can’t believe the rangers protected kevin rooney. so i’ll go with my second choice for the pick from the rags, which is definitely seeming likely right now.
Ottawa Senators: Chris Tierney
didn’t change. next!
Philadelphia Flyers: James van Riemsdyk
corwin got their wish and nolan patrick got traded. this pick stayed the same regardless. next!
Pittsburgh Penguins: Zach Aston-Reese
i briefly considered changing it up here, probably for brandon “sees ghosts” tanev, but why complicate things? next!
San Jose Sharks: Ryan Donato
keeping it simple. next!
St Louis Blues: Vince Dunn
i’m running out of snappy ways to say “i didn’t change the pick.” next!
Tampa Bay Lightning: Blake Coleman
no more likely than it was last time, still enjoying my wishful thinking. next!
Toronto Maple Leafs: Travis Dermott
another static pick. next!
Vancouver Canuck: Zack MacEwen
i didn’t have to change this pick, i just felt like it. he has a cute dog, so i think macewen makes decent kraken bait.
Washington Capitals: Vitek Vanecek
second verse, same as the first. next!
Winnipeg Jets: Mason Appleton
kept the apple pie in a mason jar on skates around. won’t say “next!” because that’s it.
and there we go, a somewhat coherent response to all the recent chaos. in summary, it’s 3 goalies, 16 forwards, and 11 defensemen, which is the same ratio as the previous list, and a cap hit of 72.3M, which is actually less than before (it was 76.4M last time).
this is decidedly the last kraken bait list, but i may have some more commentary on the expansion draft on wednesday and an analysis of who, if anyone, i got right. in the meantime, hope you enjoyed!
credits, or thank you to everyone who helped me on the last list and therefore this one: @dantonheinens @summerteukka @doubleminor @jakejuentzel @bigmouthnatebastian @18minutemajor @powerblais @heddy

rules: list three facts about your self then tag a few people
i was tagged by @scheifefe, thank you my star!! i love you!! though i will preface this by saying that i really am not interesting.
1. i, supposedly, have a Special Power that allows me to meet borderline famous people (borderline is the key word here) and this manifests mostly with hockey boys, but there have been others! a comprehensive list:
bryan little (3x)
adam lowry
mark scheifele
michael hutchinson
tyler myers
chris thorburn
darcy oake (magician)
jon montgomery (olympic athlete)
mathieu perreault
brandon tanev (kinda?)
ben chiarot
that’s it i think
2. i got to hold the olympic torch when i was like. 8? a family friend was passing off the torch in our city and he brought it to our house? and i got a picture with it, and did indeed get bullied at school because of people not believing me. imagine their shock when this family friend brought it to my class and we had an olympic party... wish i was joking
3. i am able to talk about something i’m interested for a whole 2 hours and never get tired of it, which isn’t interesting as much as it is annoying, honestly. sorry @scheifefe :) but yeah a few people have been on the receiving end of my rant about Guitars. just. as a whole. so there’s that?
tagging: @three-headed-monster @heteromrphsm @bigboigritty @charlieg @little-girl-blue-loves-rogerina @zinka8 @shackadaisical @rafaelina-casillas @bitchasslowry @bluehairedspidey and anyone else that wants to do this!

The Hockey Show - Episode 329
The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced radio show that strictly talks hockey, finds its way back on the radio airwaves and over the internet tonight as Beans and I settler for the 329th week of doing this. In seeing that number, it dawned on me that we've been doing this weekly thing for a long time now and we needed to step up our guest roster for 2019. No, we didn't get a pro hockey player for tonight's show despite the efforts we put forth in trying to get one, but we got the next best thing. It's always an honour when we bring in someone smarter than us to talk hockey - literally, every guest we've ever had - and tonight's guest is not only smarter than us, but he's also doing something awesome for the community!
This guy to the left? He might be one of the most talented writers covering the Winnipeg Jets today. That's Murat Ates of The Athletic who covers a lot of the Winnipeg hockey scene, and Beans and I are proud, humbled, privileged, and honoured to welcome him to The Hockey Show this evening! Murat is doing an amazing thing on Saturday where he and a pack of volunteers will meet at the Good Will Social Club at 625 Portage Avenue from 2-5pm where they'll make Valentine's Day cards for women and children currently staying at shelters! This is one of the best ideas of altruism I've seen in a while, so we'll talk to Murat about the event on Saturday before getting into Patrik Laine's goal-scoring woes and why he seems to be struggling, Elliotte Friedman's comments about how Brandon Tanev might be the odd-man out come free agency this spring, the Jets having three games in-hand on the Predators with a January 17 showdown looming, Sergei Bobrovsky being suspended by the Blue Jackets, and Murat's thoughts on the NHL All-Star jerseys revealed yesterday made out of plastic fished out of the ocean! It should be a great show with one of the best journalists in the city in Murat Ates tonight at 5:30pm! You might be wondering where the blurb about the UMFM app has gone. I'm going on record to say you can still use it, but the new UMFM website will fill the needs of our listeners because the new online streaming player is pretty awesome. If you're using an Apple device, the player doesn't seem to like Safari, but we highly recommend you use the TuneIn app found on the App Store. The UMFM app will currently work for you, but there's some work being done to realign it with UMFM's new website, so it may go silent soon. If it does, TuneIn. It's a solid app. I'm changing up the social media portion as well. I'm losing faith in Facebook, so that option will slowly be allowed to drift off into the horizon. However, the other options still work! Email all show questions and comments to [email protected]! Tweet me anytime with questions you may have by hitting me up at @TeebzHBIC on Twitter! We're here to listen to you, so make your voice heard! Tonight, Teebz and Beans welcome Murat ates to the show as they discuss Valentine's Day cards for a good cause, the Jets, Bobrovsky, All-Star Game threads, and much more only on The Hockey Show found exclusively on 101.5 UMFM, on the UMFM app, on the UMFM.com web stream! Until next time, keep your sticks on the ice! from Sports News http://hockey-blog-in-canada.blogspot.com/2019/01/the-hockey-show-episode-329.html

Ramblings: Hoffman, Pacioretty, Couture, Bozak, Ferland, and Roussel – July 12
In just three weeks, the 2018-19 Dobber Hockey Fantasy Guide will be released. Be sure to head to the Dobber Shop to grab your copy! The guide is updated periodically until the season begins to reflect trades, injuries, and new line combinations, so even if you’re early, you won’t miss out on up-to-date information.
*
Dominik Bokk signed his entry-level contract with the Blues on Wednesday and it seems he’ll be headed back to Sweden for the 2018-19 season. With the bevy of signings and trades St. Louis has made in the last few weeks, there’s no real need to rush the sniping prospect into the NHL. I know dynasty owners are going to be disappointed but it’s the right call.
In talking with Cam Robinson around draft time, Bokk was a guy he mentioned among the non-elite to keep an eye on. St. Louis evidently thought the same thing as they traded up to draft him. The more I read about him, the more impressed I am with him though it seems the hockey community is kind of split on him. Some saw him as a mid-first pick, some didn’t see the potential. I’m starting to be a believer, though the usual disclaimer applies: I’m not a prospects writer nor do I scout them. I rely on the excellent work of people like Cam.
You can read Bokk's Dobber Prospects profile here.
*
Nothing fantasy hockey related, but a pretty fun read from Adam Gretz at Pro Hockey Talk about the Jaromir Jagr trade out of Pittsburgh all those years ago.
*
Just to reiterate something about the Florida Panthers: one of Mike Hoffman and Evgeni Dadonov will not be on the top PP unit this year (for the most part). Now, Dadonov did not really need a bevy of PP points to perform well last year, so he can still be a 55- or 60-point guy without that slotting. If Hoffman is to top 30 goals for the first time in his career, though, he does need those minutes. Keep that in mind when draft season approaches.
*
Something I noticed while trying to figure out San Jose’s line combinations for next year: Logan Couture has seen is individual shot-on-goal rate per 60 minutes at five-on-five decline every year since the lockout season. In 2017-18, he ranked 170th out of 367 forwards with at least 500 minutes in shots/60 minutes. Five years ago at the end of the lockout year, he was 29th out of 339 forwards with at least 300 minutes. In total, his shots/60 has declined about 34 percent over the last five seasons. We expect decline as a player ages but he’s still in his twenties and that decline came largely from age 24 through age 27.
Line mates? Role? Being more selective (his two highest shooting percentage seasons are the last two years)? Regardless, it’s going to be hard for him to repeat 30 goals if his shot totals don’t grow.
*
We’re hitting the quiet part of the off season. As far as trades are concerned, it seems inevitable both Max Pacioretty and Erik Karlsson are moved, it’s just a matter of when. We can probably add Jeff Skinner to that list as well. There are some cases going through arbitration from RFAs deserving of big contracts like Mark Stone, Jason Zucker, and William Karlsson. The signing of Patrick Maroon (you can read the fantasy impact here) basically means all the big-name UFAs are signed. In all, outside a few trades, there’s not much left until training camps hit.
As a side note, something I realized while writing these Ramblings: the Western Conference as a whole, outside of St. Louis and Calgary, didn’t really do a whole lot this off season, did they?
Chicago’s biggest signing might be Cam Ward.
Colorado signed some depth with Ian Cole and Matt Calvert.
The biggest addition/signing between Dallas, Minnesota, Nashville, and Winnipeg, four teams with Cup aspirations, is probably Blake Comeau? I guess Valeri Nichushkin though he’s really just a returning player.
The Kings signed Ilya Kovalchuk which may not be that big of a get depending how he performs.
Vancouver… well we’ll leave Vancouver alone. They know what they did.
Arizona added a few forwards but Alex Galchenyuk may be the only player of serious impact, and even that’s uncertain.
The Blues and Flames made pretty significant changes while most largely stood pat or handed out tens of millions of dollars to fourth liners. I suppose Erik Karlsson could change that equation if he does land somewhere like Dallas.
On the topic of UFAs, I think it’s worth reviewing the landing spots of some of the bigger names in new destinations either via trade or free agency. Too often, fantasy owners (present company included) just hand-wave a player going to a new team who seems to be just going into the same role on a new team and assume constant production.
Here are a few players whose production probably declines with their new team.
  Tyler Bozak
Bozak’s signing is solid for the Blues in terms of getting them a true third-line centre who can facilitate for their scoring wingers. In terms of fantasy hockey, owners need to realize that Bozak, going into his age-32 season, has one 50-point campaign (2016-17) and one 20-goal campaign (2014-15).
He’s going to a situation in St. Louis where his role at five-on-five won’t change much – third line in a sheltered role with talented wingers – but he will probably lose significant power-play minutes; Schenn-Schwartz-Tarasenko will eat a lot of minutes on a top unit while Ryan O’Reilly likely figures as the fourth. Losing just 30 seconds on the power play per game, which is a conservative estimate, will see him lose 3-4 points off his total from last year assuming constant goal rates. It’s that double-whammy where not only does his overall production decline, but his PP production as well, reducing his value in multiple roto categories.
He’s never been a multi-category performer so Bozak is basically only to be drafted in deep leagues or leagues that count face-offs. Though he’s going to what appears to be a very good St. Louis team going into 2018-19, the loss of power-play time is going to be a hit to what was already his meagre fantasy value.
  Micheal Ferland
As I mentioned in a review of the free agent signings a couple weeks ago, we’ve probably seen the best fantasy season we’re going to see from Ferland unless we see some dramatic changes to the Carolina roster. Last year saw a big jump in five-on-five ice time per game, garnering 1:45 more per game than his previous career-high. While the uncertainty around Jeff Skinner’s situation means there are likely more changes coming to this Carolina roster, as it stands right now, Teuvo Teravainen and Justin Williams are ahead of Ferland on the right side. They also just drafted a potential star in Andrei Svechnikov. If Svechnikov shows well early in the season, Ferland could find himself on the fourth line.
Now, Ferland is a left-handed shot even though he often played the right wing often in Calgary. But even if they moved him to the left side, he’s still behind Sebastian Aho and Skinner (for now). Brock McGinn had a solid season last year, Valentin Zykov showed promise down the stretch, and they added Jordan Martinook. If Skinner is moved and they don’t add another left winger, maybe Ferland ends up as the second-line left winger. But Skinner would have to be traded, the team would have to decide to move him to the left wing, and he’d have to outperform a few players to maintain that role. His best-case right now is that he’s moved around the middle-six for the Hurricanes, which is still a huge downgrade from spending nearly three-quarters of a season on a top line with Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan.
Without top power-play minutes, which he won’t get, and top-line slotting, which he also won’t get, it’s very, very hard to see Ferland repeating 20 goals and 40 points. He can still be fine with a 15-15 season in leagues that count hits, but this is a serious downgrade for him.
  Antoine Roussel
I suppose no one drafts Roussel for point production. He’s drafted for triple-digit penalty minute and hit totals. And his shooting percentage is going to rebound from the 5.9 percent he shot last year, a far cry from his 12.7 percent shooting for his career going into the 2017-18 season.
All the same, anyone not playing on the top line for the Canucks is going to have a hard time scoring this year. There are a lot of hopes pinned on the likes of Elias Pettersson and Adam Gaudette but for now they’re still unproven rookies. In his last decent offensive season, Roussel was spending significant minutes with Tyler Seguin. I can’t imagine he gets a real shot with Bo Horvat and Brock Boeser.
Again, Roussel is going to spend time with unproven rookies or someone like Brandon Sutter. That’s with mediocre (at best) puck-moving defencemen behind them which may or may not include Chris Tanev in the near future. Despite being a rat on the ice, he’s an effective player. The problem is he may not get the same chance in Vancouver that he did at times in Dallas. A 25-point season would be a huge win. Though, as mentioned above, he’s not really drafted in fantasy for his point totals.
*
Though the rumours for years have been that Max Pacioretty is on his way out the door, M-A Godin of The Athletic says that a trade is going to happen soon, given that the team will not negotiate a contract extension with him. It seems the tenure of one of the top goal scorers in a generation of the team’s history is over.
That’s not hyperbole, either. Though he’s not near the top of the franchise list in total goals scored, he did have one of the best peaks in team history. He was late to the NHL and suffered injuries, so his first full season was 2011-12 at the age of 23. In the six seasons from the age of 23 to the age of 28, he scored 189 goals in 439 games, or 0.43 goals per game. That is the highest goals per game mark of any Habs player since the mid-1980s. Quite literally, Montreal fans waited nearly three decades for a goal scorer as consistent and prolific as Pacioretty.
Wherever he ends up, hopefully he’s embraced by his new fan base. During his peak, Pacioretty was among the top wingers in the league and 2017-18 saw a decline due to injury. If he’s healthy when he returns, his new team will get a tried-and-true top-line left winger.

kraken bait: so long and thanks for all the fish!
so... that happened.
the spectacle of the expansion draft was pretty fun- loved the boats, especially the one with the inflatable kraken, and some of the pick videos were nice, like the fish-throwing one and the octopus. i did not appreciate the devils slander (you guys have probably seen my very new jerseyan reaction by now), nor the fact that the dude emcee-ing has probably watched maybe two hockey games in his life (called the canes the “carolina panthers,” called them the “anaheim mighty ducks”).
the draft itself was another thing entirely. i am still very emotional about the kraken separating the superbuddies. i do not know if i will ever get over this. simultaneously, i have no idea who several of the dudes the kraken drafted are.
but those are things for another day. right now, i’m here to go over my kraken bait lists and see what i got right and what i didn’t! this is mostly based off kraken bait 3.5, but i’ll include some references to previous lists if it’s relevant. the actual pick will be bolded and my prediction will be in parentheses, but i’ll bold and italicize it if i got it right. reflection under the cut! (and bonus points if you know the reference in my title)
Anaheim Ducks: Haydn Fleury
i got it right! (he looked very good in the kraken jersey. just sayin’!)
Arizona Coyotes: Tyler Pitlick (Christian Fischer)
i have no idea who the hell tyler pitlick is. at least i recognized christian fischer’s name!
Boston Bruins: Jeremy Lauzon
that’s two! sorry casey
Buffalo Sabres: Will Borgen
that’s three! thanks to The Athletic
Calgary Flames: Mark Giordano
score four for kraken bait! i will be very, very surprised if he’s not the first captain in franchise history
Carolina Hurricanes: Morgan Geekie (Nino Niederreiter)
i have been all over the place on canes predictions. it was haydn fleury, but then he got traded (and then ended up on the kraken anyway). and then it was brock mcginn when i couldn’t think of any one, and then brady skjei according to kinga, and then niederreiter according to corwin when skjei got protected. i do like geekie though, so looking forward to seeing him in seattle!
Chicago: John Quenneville (Nikita Zadorov)
i don’t know who this guy is, aside from that he was drafted by the devils, and that still doesn’t help me much. i still think zadorov might have a chance to end up in seattle if he signs with the kraken, though.
Colorado Avalanche: Joonas Donskoi (JT Compher)
i said it in 3.5, it was always between compher or donskoi after ryan graves got traded. i predicted compher because he was a little younger and a little cheaper, but seattle took donskoi, the more consistent performer. i wish him luck with the kraken and hope his dog enjoys the pacific northwest!
Columbus Blue Jackets: Gavin Bayreuther (Dean Kukan)
who in the world is this?
Dallas Stars: Jamie Oleksiak
that’s five! also, for those of you who need to hear it: tall does not equal attractive
Detroit Red Wings: Dennis Cholowski (Vladislav Namestnikov)
no idea who this is. but the octopus reveal was very fun!
Edmonton Oilers: Adam Larsson (Tyson Barrie)
so i was right that the kraken would end up with a ufa defenseman from the oilers. i just picked the wrong defenseman.
Florida Panthers: Chris Driedger
that’s six! never realized how lanky chris driedger is until i saw him onstage at the expansion draft
Los Angeles Kings: Kurtis MacDermid (Olli Maata)
i never knew what to do with the kings. i feel like the kraken might have felt the same, because i have no idea who the hell this is.
Minnesota Wild: Carson Soucy (Kaapo Kakhonen)
it’s a name i recognize at least? but i’m very surprised that the kraken didn’t take kakhonen. the name pun was right there (kaapo krak-honen!), and i feel like he would have been the better option for a young, cheap goalie (more on that in a bit).
Montreal Canadiens: Cale Fleury (Philip Danault)
i’m happy the fleury bros are on the same team!
Nashville Predators: Calle Jarnkrok
calle jarn-kraken. “my boy calle.” i’m gonna leave it at that.
New Jersey Devils: Nathan Bastian (Andreas Johnsson)
do not talk to me.
New York Islanders: Jordan Eberle
that’s eight!
New York Rangers: Colin Blackwell
that’s nine!
Ottawa Senators: Joey Daccord (Chris Tierney)
the young, cheap goalie the kraken actually took. i kind of understand it because the sens were pretty barren, but as the armchair gm, i’d have gone for kakhonen over daccord.
Philadelphia Flyers: Carsen Twarynski (James van Riemsdyk)
who in the world is this?
Pittsburgh Penguins: Brandon Tanev (Zach Aston-Reese)
should have trusted my gut in the last round and picked tanev instead of keeping aston-reese. oh well. enjoy ghost-spotting in seattle!
San Jose Sharks: Alexander True (Ryan Donato)
i still don’t really know who this is, but resident seattle expert cass has informed me that he played juniors in seattle and scored a big winning goal for them. so welcome back, i guess.
St Louis Blues: Vince Dunn
that’s ten!
Tampa Bay Lightning: Yanni Gourde (Blake Coleman)
should have listened to ana on the gourde suggestion. i picked his linemate, so i guess i was kinda close?
Toronto Maple Leafs: Jared McCann (Travis Dermott)
the leafs really traded for him for nothing 😂
Vancouver Canucks: Kole Lind (Zack MacEwen)
who in the world is this? and why does he spell his name with a k instead of a c
Washington Capitals: Vitek Vanecek
that’s eleven! and i’m two for three on goalies
Winnipeg Jets: Mason Appleton
“apple pie in a mason jar on skates” makes twelve!
and there you have it! i got 12 right out of 30 picks... which is a lot better than i expected, to be honest. if you were making expansion draft predictions, how many did you get? let me know, come talk about the expansion draft, or just drop by to say hi!
