This is Matilda Oglethorpe. She is Melody's mother in Titan Bay. She was a beautiful and smart woman, but she had a mental breakdown when Melody was 13 claiming that giant man eating monsters used to run around eating people. No one believed her rambles about the past life of giant man-eating humans that terrorized humanity. Not even her husband who tried to get her professional help. Unfortunately, later that year, Melody found her mother hanging from the rafters of the horse barn they owned. Melody and Matilda were very close, so on the anniversary of her mother's passing, she makes a cup of hot chocolate then sits on her porch and talks to the stars. She always asks what did her mother mean, man-eating titans?
