Walking into work in the morning with a tired sigh, you were feeling a bit drained from the night before. You had a massive headache from not finding sleep due to another massive headache. It seemed like there was something trying to push at your mind, wanting to worm its way into your brain. It left you restless.
“(Y/N).” Suho called you the moment you walked into the office space. You looked up, trying to give a friendly smile. “Doctor Hanseol would like to see you.”
That seemed to take care of your headache right away. Your eyes went wide as you nodded your head, making haste to get to the office on time. You had dropped off your things at your desk before making your way to the elevators to take you up.
Once you reached his door, you sighed and tried to get a grip on your tired nerves. You knocked on the door, hearing a call before entering.
“Hello, sir.” You bowed your head, waiting for him to tell you to sit. When he gestured with his hand, you moved to take a seat in front of him.
“Hello, (Y/N).” Your boss greeted. “How is everything going with Jungkook? Is he behaving?” He smiled, laughing a little.
You played with your fingers in your lap, chuckling quietly to make it seem like you found his joke funny. “I couldn't imagine him misbehaving. He's a really great patient to look after. I find it hard to believe he's even here. He is quite healthy.” You explained absentmindedly.
Hanseol hummed, nodding his head. “Yes, well, you will find most patients in the facility are healthy. It's just certain mental problems or life long issues we are looking to heal.”
“I understand.” You spoke up.
The man left you unsettled. You didn’t know if it was because of the presence he had around him or if it had to do with the fact that he was your boss. You knew your past employers sometimes made you feel worried about your work ethic but Hanseol made you feel insignificant. Like just your breathing was bothering him.
It was only your second time meeting with him and both times you noticed how he carried himself. He was arrogant–a man who looked like he was only helping the less fortunate because it gave him money. But you couldn’t say anything, he was the one to give you the job. And if it wasn’t for that you wouldn’t have met the boys.
“It seems you've built quite the reputation at the facility.” Hanseol continued on.
“I'd hope in a good way.” You laughed stiffly.
“Certainly for you.” He smiled, moving to look at a file on his desk. “It seems we had another problem with a patient of ours.” He dragged the paper over to you. “He seems to want no one else but you. He's posing a problem to us because he won't do what we ask. So I have decided to accept and put you to be his personal nurse.”
You looked up from the file, frowning as you tilted your head in confusion. “What about Jungkook? Or my job up here at the clinic?” You asked.
“You won't have to work here in the clinic.” Hanseol shook his head. “As you have probably gathered by now, we have a large number of patients in the lower levels. I only have 15 nurses stationed there for the 50 patients. Each one is often given at least two—sometimes three to take care of. You will still be Jungkook's nurse as well. Because of this I have decided to make you a full time nurse for the In-Patient care facility.” He explained to you.
You looked over the man’s file, the large 001 next to his name caught your attention. You had studied to become a nurse and help others who needed it. Filing papers wasn’t exactly something you wanted to do, so you felt you got lucky with getting Jungkook’s file by accident. You also owed it to the boy for throwing a tantrum to get you as his nurse. Getting another patient would add on to your experience and your position would be changed officially.
“It would be an honor.” You smiled at Hanseol, bowing your head in thanks.
“I knew you would accept.” The smile the man gave you made you almost falter. “I expect you to take very good care of this patient. He was our very first client when I first started this company. He means a lot to me.”
While his voice was normal, there was an underlying tone that made you shiver. Maybe it hadn’t been directed towards you, but the way he spoke about the patient made it seem like the man was troubled with them.
“Of course, sir. I'll do my best.” You bowed your head one last time before moving out the door, file tucked closely to your chest.
You sighed deeply as you moved to the elevators. Instead of going directly to your desk, you began to make your way towards the lower levels. You figure it would be best to get acquainted with your new patient.
Going down into the facility, you were quick to come up on the door you knew belonged to the person you would be in charge of. You sighed to yourself, a smile on your face as you knocked. “Come in.” A voice called roughly from the other side.
“Hello, Mr. Kim.” You greeted, walking in. “I'm (Y/N). I'll be your new nurse!”
Your new patient was sitting comfortably on the couch, book in his lap. He looked up from the pages when he heard your voice call to him. He calmly took his feet off the couch and placed his book down. As he stood up, you smiled bashfully as you took in how tall he actually was. It made you a bit intimidated by his height.
You remember Jin was probably the same height however Namjoon seemed to have a harsher stare and a passive look on his face. “I know. I asked for you.” He told you, walking closer.
You nodded your head, feeling stupid for introducing yourself that way. “Right.” You said. “Do you mind if I ask why?” You asked.
“Jungkook told me about you.” He had reached you, looking at you as though he was sizing you up.
You rolled your shoulders back to calm the anxious nerves racing through your body. “I'm sure that boy has told everyone about me.” You smiled at the thought of the younger boy. “He's really sweet.”
“He is.” Namjoon’s lips curled up slightly as he thought about the boy. “Very kind.”
You had to stop yourself from giggling at the dimple that appeared on his cheek. It was absolutely the cutest thing you had ever seen. And it was only a partial dimple.
“Would it be alright if I go over your vitals?” You shook your head, looking down at the file given to you. “I have to do a check up.”
“As they normally do.” The man waved you off, moving to sit at the bed like Jungkook had that first day. “Get on with it.”
You sighed deeply at how the man’s attitude was passive. He didn’t sound like he had any emotions to give to you. You figured he was still trying to come up with his own analysis of you. “Yes.” You nodded, moving to put the file on the table before getting all you needed to check his vitals.
When you gathered all you needed, you moved up to him. “Is it okay?” You asked, gesturing to his arm. He held it out for you, waiting for you to put the band around his arm. As you moved to touch him, you noticed how warm he was. However it wasn’t something you would find to be worrisome. What you did stop to frown at were the skin lesions on his arm.
The skin looked like the epidermis had been peeled back in small patches the size of pimples. It didn’t seem like he was bleeding, however the skin was red. It reminded of you of a blister wound that had been peeled back.  It looked painful and it made you shiver at thinking about having an open wound like that on your skin.
“Did they put anything on these wounds?” You openly scoffed and momentarily put down the heart rate padding. You had a frown on your face and Namjoon watched as you huffed and turned around to rummage through his cabinets.
“They should put something.” You angrily mumbled to yourself.
“What are you looking for?” He asked, watching you huff and puff at not finding whatever it was you were looking for.
“An ointment.” You told him. “Something to fix the breaking skin.”
Namjoon’s eyebrows raised, glancing down to the picked at skin on his arm. His hands smothered down his legs, feeling the fabric of his clothing rub at the raw skin on his thighs. “I'll be fine.” He sighed.
“I read in your files that you're here for a skin condition.” A grin overtook your face when you had found the first aid kit. Namjoon looked at you from the bed as you pulled a box out and dropped it onto the floor to look through it.
“You're a patient and I'm the nurse.” You explained, jumping up as you came into a stand. He flinched back at your sudden movements, but kept his eyes on your grin. “I have to heal your wounds.” You walked closer holding up a bottle of some medicine and some gauze.
As you moved to reach out, you froze before looking up at him. “Is this okay?” You asked, waiting for his response. He slowly nodded his head, his lungs seizing up for some reason as he took in your scent. While he could clearly smell your perfume, there was something else that seemed to catch him by surprise.
As your hands were softly touching him, his eyes closed as he allowed your kindness rush to through his nerve endings and into his chest. His empathetic nature seemed to intertwine with your aura.
“I'll come by tomorrow to check up on them.” Your voice brought him out of his stupor, the man looking down at you with hooded eyes. “If you feel itchy you can take them off yourself but I wouldn't recommend it, the ointment needs to soak up.” Your smile made him dizzy.
“Everything should be good now.” You told him after you wrote down all his vitals. You looked towards him, a smile on your face as you tilted your head at his dazed expression.
“You smell nice.” He blurted.
Your face turned beet red, choking on air. “Thank you?” You giggled.
“Sorry.” He shook his head when he heard you laugh. “I've never met someone like you. It made my senses fog up.”
“I'm flattered.” You continued to laugh, your cheeks hurting from your smile. “Is there anything I can do for you?” You asked before you left.
“No.” Namjoon stood from the bed, seemingly back to normal as he walked you to the door. “I should be okay.” He finally gave you a smile which showcased his dimple.
Your eyes crinkled as you swooned over it. “Then I'll be on my way. I have Jungkook to tend to.”
“Yes, you should go before he comes to find you.” Namjoon playfully rolled his eyes.
“I hope you have a good day, Mr. Kim. Goodbye.” The smile you gave him made him swallow.
He knew that all of them had started to become desensitized in this place that only seemed to take from them. They had given up all hope for a better future. A future where they were able to return home. It seemed so long ago that they were brought in as children and tested on until they could no longer feel anything. He knew there would come a day when Hanseol would no longer need them, everyone ran out of magic at one point. Who knew what would happen to them then.
But hearing you say such kind words–touch him with such kind hands–he knew he wanted to get out. He had suffered so much and meeting you made him remember what it was like in the first place. He was going to find a way to get out. He was going to find a way to save everyone. And he knew you were the one person who would help him do that.
“Of course.”

More in the AU where Elrond and Elros are 16 years old rather than 6 when Sirion is sacked. Tag is "older kidnap fam fic" for previous installments
Elrond wakes up draped over the rump of a horse.
Not, to be clear, his own warhorse. His faithful stallion is being ridden by one of the few remaining warriors of the Gap, the great cavalry of the Noldor, who will be able to keep her seat regardless of what the horse tries.
Elrond isn't initially sure who is riding the horse that he's been set over like a sack of baggage. His arms are stretched out past his head, tied wrists dangling toward the ground, and his ankles are tied as well, tighter than the hobble that he had while walking. He can't see anything but horse flank.
Elrond wriggles around to try and get a better view, and someone notices.
"Lord Maedhros, it seems your guest is awake."
Maedhros pushes down the middle of Elrond's lower back to pin him more surely to the horse. "Lie still. If you fall off while riding in formation you're liable to get stepped on by the next horse, even if the rider wished to avoid you."
"I know how to ride properly."
"Yes, I saw that you were quite skilled when you killed my soldiers, which is why you're staying right there."
"Could I at least sit upright, even if I have to ride behind someone else like an infant?"
"Maybe tomorrow, if you give your word not to escape."
"I'm not stupid enough to try and bargain with you again, after you broke your word about setting us free from the cellar."
"I never said I'd set you free, I said I'd leave the city and wouldn't kill you. Sirion crumbled in the first assault, but I did no more damage after taking you and your brother into custody. If they're smart enough to repair the castle first, everyone should be able to keep warm this winter."
"And if they focus instead on burying their dead, or rebuilding their houses, or rescuing their kidnapped princes?"
"Who knows? But I'm not king of even the Noldor anymore, and the people of Sirion are not my responsibility."
"You would just let them die?" Elrond wanted to glare at the Feanorian, and nearly slipped backwards off the horse as he tried to sit up.
Maedhros caught Elrond deftly by the bound wrists and pulled him back into place. "Next time you do that, I'll let you fall"
"So you don't actually intend to even spare my life."
"I agreed to spare you, not to save you . None here will harm you, but I won't rescue you from consequences of childish stupidity, no more than I will rescue Sirion from winter. If you would rather bash your head open rather than remain my captive, I am not so cruel as to deny you that escape."
Elrond had nothing to say to that topic, as his first retort about more palatable escapes seemed likely just to enrage his captor, as did any question about cutting off hands. "Where's Elros? Was he at least left back in Sirion?" Elrond wanted his brother to be safe, and his people to have a leader with his mother drowned. But he, selfishly, also did to want to be alone with the kinslayers.
"He's here as well, don't worry. Nornmalo has him, and I trust him not to torture a prisoner, despite what it may sound like."
"The moans of pain might be a headache, he drank rather a lot of beer while we were trapped."
Maedhros laughed. "Well, a hungover child soldier. He will at least bother Nornmalo less with questions."
"Could I give him something to soothe the headache? I know a bit of healing."
"No. A headache won't kill him, and he'll get water when we stop same as you."
They stopped only once that day, to water the horses at a stream. Elros was pulled down from the saddle - feet first, luckily, though he still landed in a heap - and his hands untied. Maedhros tossed him a canteen, and said "if you need to piss, now's the best time. You won't get piss all over the horse or your clothes, and we're downstream of the rest of the company."
"My legs are still tied."
"The ropes low enough you should be able to unfasten your belt."
"Are you going to watch me the whole time?"
"Until I find another guard, yes."
Elrond drinks little enough water to avoid the issue, for the moment.
When it's time to ride again, Elrond puts up a fight about having his arms tied again. That just gets Maedhros pinning his face in the dirt while a soldier ties the rope.
Elrond is slung back on the horse like a parcel.
They stop again just before sunset to make camp.
Elrond's hands are untied again for dinner.
The food is simple, waybread and water, and Elrond wonders if he should mention that Men need to eat more than once a day.
Far more exciting than the food though is the figure dropped on the grass next to him, clutching his own canteen and waybread.
"Elros!"
"Elrond! By Ulmo, you're alright!"
"I am, just a bit bruised from the horse. You?"
"Here's something for your healer's notes: do not put people with hangovers upside down for hours. I must have thrown up a dozen times."
"That's terrible! Maybe we can ask-"
At that point the guard tells them to hurry up, they'll be taken to where they're sleeping in ten minutes regardless of how much dinner they've had. Elrond and Elros focus on eating.
They are not, apparently, going to be sleeping near each other. "Too much chance to plot."
The Feanorian soldiers have tents. Some of them share, some of them have their own. A few soldiers have tents obviously designed for two or three that they go into alone.
The horses stolen from Sirion are tied to a picket line. It's loped through the reins, but one person untying the end would let all the horses scatter.
The horses the Feanorians rode into town on are not tied at all. They are loyal old warhorses, and will not flee from orcs in the distance. If wolves do sneak past the guards into the camp, better for the horses to run, and come back at their masters' call when the danger is passed.
Elrond, by contrast, is tied to a tree trunk. His hands are tied in front of him rather than behind, and his legs are unbound. Maedhros's brother - and Elrond learned from a careless remark that their is only the one left - even tossed a blanket over Elrond's legs, to guard against the chill of the night air.
It is the most freedom of movement Elrond has had all day, but that's saying little.
He is stuck sitting up, feeling every root and rock underneath him, unable to reach his hands back to where the rope is tied behind the tree.
Elrond sleeps poorly, stirring at every noise, whether it's a guard on their rounds or an owl hooting its warning.
In the morning, Elrond is given a breakfast of water and waybread again.
Maedhros says "You know it would be suicidal to flee, alone in the wilderness, yes?" and lets Elrond ride behind him sitting up.
Elrond's hands are still bound, and a rope leads passed Maedhros to the saddle horn. If he fell off, he better hope he can keep pace with a cantering horse, or else be dragged on the ground.
Elrond stays on the horse. He figures out his balance well enough to turn, and sees Elros riding similarly.
Thing continue like this for over a week, until they reach Amon Ereb.

Healing
Male Lead: Tulio Female Lead: Psychi Universe/AU: Warhammer 40k/Yandere Space Marine Canon Status: Yes
Note: Sorry this was late T-T & this might be set before Tulio's initial post but basically she's not serving his friend yet.
I sobbed against his broad chest as he held me in just one arm, hardly exhausted. I feel like I've seen him before maybe in the market maybe as one of the few in passing but how my eyes water so much looking up at him as I look probably so awful. My robes ripped and torn. There are beasts and animals in the forest and dark woods... and normally they stay hidden but I just was going to head home...
I can't help but start to cry again as he stops for a moment and cradles me trying to get me to breathe. "There there my lady you're fine. Your leg will be good as new."
"My leg..." I look down and see how it's torn up and bleeding as I hardly feel the dull ache I just feel more scared. I start to sob again as I remember the hands grabbing me and pulling me into the woods. How I screamed out for just a moment before I was smacked hard to be quieted.
His name is Tulio... he said he saw me get grabbed and heard my screams and came to my rescue. I cling to his blue robes tightly as he walks through these darkened woods getting his clothes dirty because of me. How those fat tears of mine stain his clean robes and I try not to get any more of my fluids upon him. Yet he holds me so close just smiling as I continue to cry.
I look up at that smiling face as his grass green eyes look down at me wrinkling at the edges as he just smiles so handsomely down at me... the way the light plays with his brunet locks as the patchy breaking up of the tree coverings just make him look so much more handsome. He was my knight as I sob against him just pitifully thanking him.
"Shhhh shhh my dear lady there is nothing more to fear. The bandits are slain and you are here safe in my arms." I hear the slight uptick in his voice but I assume it's just as he maneuvers over the uneven ground... and nothing to do with how he holds me. "Forgive me for my hands my lady... I do not with to hurt your leg." He says adjusting how I sit in his hold feeling his hands brush against the back of my thighs at times and on the curve of my rear but I hardly care for the moment.
I sniffle loudly as I wipe my eyes with my scrapped palm and I wince. I look down at myself as I am a mess... my hair pulled from its bun letting my hair flow free, my poor outfit torn, and all the cuts on my form. "They... they were going to sell me." I whine softly as while I realize I am an indentured servant I have a chance to be free unlike being a slave.
"Shhh shhh I know they have been slain my dear Psychi... no one is going to touch you like that again." I think little of his words as I am too busy weeping clinging to him like a lifeline.
"You saved me."
"Of course my dear lady... I will always save you." Again his words slip out of my mind only for me to reflect upon them later.
As he carries me out I see the sun is getting low... it will surely be dark by the time I return home. "Thank you my lord I'm certain I can make it home." I say and just am surprised by the look he gives me... as if he is shocked by what I have said. "My lord? Um... you could carry me home I suppose." I say trying to assuage his concern.
"No my lady you will stay with me for the night."
"But... but... but... my master-" I say worried.
"Will understand once I explain what had happened. You need to be looked at right away. What with the swelling and the cuts all over your body and that torn up leg of yours. I'm sorry if this is me overstepping but you need to be looked at right away." He says gently but firmly as he carries me back into the city. He wraps me in some fabric as he moves through the crowds quickly. I feel so tired and overwhelmed I can feel a headache rushing through my veins so perhaps it is not a terrible idea to accept his generous offer.
I blink my eyes again as his warm hand cups my face and a cool rag gently wipes away the blood off my leg. "What..." I mutter softly.
"I said I was sorry for... it's nothing important that I said." He says cleaning out the gouges in my leg. I wince occasionally in pain and I can hear the softly muttered apologies.
"You're very gentle." I say softly and weakly.
"Thank you my lady." He says as he tightly wraps the bandage around my leg allowing me to adjust it as I see fit. I look over the bandages over my form some of them looking far more costly than what I would use upon me but perhaps this is all he has.
I go to stand but he catches me as I collapse into his arms, "I'm sorry I should-"
He gently places a cooling pack on my head watching me wince as it is tender from being hit after I screamed for help. "I understand that this isn't... " His dry and scarred lips quirk for a moment as his brow furrows trying to think of the word and he just sighs muttering something in high gothic. "Just allow me to help you heal? I would feel awful if my effort simply died on me from an infection that could have been prevented." He gives me a sad smile and I just chew on my swollen bottom lip.
"Of course my lord I am sorry for trying to scurry off after all of your help."
He nods and that handsome smile returns as he places me back into the soft lounging chair. I wince seeing my blood on the fabric though I wonder if it is even my own given how dark it is. I just close my eyes for a moment... just a small reprieve of this pounding headache... and unfortunately again time has passed far too long.
"I'm sorry for waking you my dear little one but you must drink something." Lord Tulio speaks as I open my mouth to reply it feels so dry and my throat only makes some horrible warble as I am disturbed from my impromptu slumber. "Drink." He says putting a cup to my lips.
The cold water burns my parched throat as I drink too much before coughing softly and his gentle hand rubs my back. He gives me an herb mixture to chew on and spit out for my aching joints and lingering pain. I look outside and whine softly as it is fully dark and now the fear of being reprimanded grows. "Eat." He gently commands again after I spit out the medical herbs into his palm, I really didn't want to but he told me to spit.
I stammer for a moment as I look at the good food in front of me but my stomach demands to be sated and so I obey both it and his gentle orders. "Thank you." I say softly as I eat the generous meal given to me. I feel his large hand pet my head for a moment as he just chuckles at me and says something in high gothic. I don't press him to tell me what he had said. He once again changes and cleans my bandages with such a gentle touch that I did not expect from him.
The bare room he has me stay in is still far more than what I am use to. He tells me should I need any help just to say his name and he will certainly hear me. I thank him once again and drift off into a dreamless sleep.
The morning after is funny as I call his name and the way he looks at me for a moment as he looks surprised as he grips the doorframe tightly, "I'm sorry did you forget I was here?" I say with a soft laugh, "I mean... forgive that jest my lord..."
He laughs softly recomposing himself, "I thought it was but a dream I had last night of saving a dearest maiden from some banditry."
I cannot help but laugh softly, "Unfortunately that was very real. I shouldn't take up more of your time my lord... I must return to my master." I say softly and as sweetly as I can as once more I try to get up and then in a flash I've fallen into his arms again.
"You're very stubborn do you know this?" He says with that airy laugh of his. I feel his chin against the top of my head as he pulls me up and putting me back down, before I can stammer out an apology he just smiles, "It's very cute." My face turns so very red as he turns away before walking back into the room with something that look too expensive for me. "They're not the nicest robes but they should work to keep your modesty my lady. I can call one of the serfs to come help you change if you need it."
"I'll manage. Thank you Lord Tulio."
I watch his throat bob for but a moment before he just quietly says, "Just Tulio is fine." He turns away before I can argue with him.
I dress with little hassle before he carries me once again. He tells me I hardly weigh a thing in his grip so him carrying me is hardly any effort. Breakfast is far too good for my station again as he once more cleans my cuts and scrapes, gives me more herbs to chew one, before he takes me in his arms and carries me back to my master's house.
On the way back some guards do approach to let me know that I was counted as a runaway. The dread in my eyes as I feel Tulio hold me a little tighter as he just whispers to me how things will be okay. The expected yelling at me doesn't come as only sweet words to placate the astartes that is holding me as Tulio explains what had happened. Apologizing at the circumstances as he wasn't concerned with what my master had to say. There was a strange look in his eyes as he looked at me as if he didn't want to let me go... but that's a silly romantic sort of thought.
"Thank you Tulio." I say to him softly and kiss the part of his palm near his wrist. I hear the way his breathing hitches for a moment but I discount it as any of my doing. I smile up at him as I know I look like a mess... with how my hair is down in robes that hardly belong to a woman of my station.
"You're welcome." He says before I reach out and Alba, another indentured servant, comes to help me limp back inside. I will certainly have to think of a way to pay him back... hopefully something will come to mind.

Opening my eyes, I could feel just how tired my arms were. Every inch of my body was heavy and weighed down by some invisible force. Looking around me, I knew that I was in some sort of medical setting. Surrounded by bodies, I closed my eyes once more and breathed a sigh of relief.
I was alive. I was free. I made it.
Moans of pain filled the room, but I could not figure out where they were coming from. Everyone else was either quiet or talking in hushed whispers with their loved ones. I opened my eyes again.
Forcing myself up, I groaned in agony as I did so. My head still had some dull aches. My bones cracked and popped with each movement I made. Glancing around me, I was alone. I could only hope it was due to others being too busy to stay holed up in the medical unit with me and not because far more serious tragedies had been met.
Twisting and turning, I slowly stretched and relaxed the tense muscles in my body. The headache lingered, but it became more bearable as the time went by. The woman beside me woke up a few minutes later. Most of her body was scarred from burns. She had been caught in a fire when she was evacuating her children from the village.
I had been out for two days. The elves had not come back since their failed attempt at a siege. According to the woman, they had gone to Northorn. It sparked something in my mind, but I could not figure out what.
Testing the waters, I tried to stand and was successful. I was happy with how quickly my body recovered from the drain. It would have taken much longer before. I guessed it had something to do with the power that had been taken from me. I was able to regain it much better now. Looking down at the woman, I frowned.
“Would you like for me to heal you?” I asked.
She shook her head, “It’s a sign of honor to have lived. I will wear them with pride.”
My own scars came to mind, and my frown deepened. I had never thought of them that way. My thoughts then shifted to Shiloh and it almost brought me to my knees. I never got the chance to say goodbye. Pushing my tears away, I told myself that I would give myself time to grieve later.
“Have you seen Alpha Jimin?” I asked her, willing my voice to stay calm.
She smiled at me, the side of her face that was burned far too tight and red to lift with the other. She had a beautiful smile once, and I felt rage like I never had before. I wished I could rip apart the elf that had made this happen to her.
“He’s here most of the time,” She replied. “The Alpha called upon him this morning for an important meeting. He should be back soon.”
I nodded and made up my mind to go and look for others in the ward. I asked her about Thelma and Yoongi, but she paid little mind to the witches. They had been gone by the time she had come to. Settling on finding my friends first, I began the treacherous task of walking through the bodies.
Many were badly injured, missing limbs, or burned beyond recognition. Some children had gone blind from spells, others were paralyzed and being worked on constantly by the quietus in order to reverse it, and some were so badly injured they were only receiving pain relief until they died. It became too hard to look at and so I stopped. Staring straight ahead, I forced myself from looking down at the cots littered around me.
“I’m happy you’re awake,” Said a voice from behind me.
I turned with great care and found Cadoc standing there.
The shadow surrounding him was gone now, and replaced by gentle white smoke that danced. It was shocking just how different he looked when he was fighting. Now, his skin had life and flushed in the sun, the pale color less like marble, and his eyes were a normal blue color. His hair was still midnight and hung just at his shoulders. It danced in the breeze that surrounded him. He smiled at me.
“Cadoc,” I greeted him, unable to return his enthusiasm. “I’m happy to see you.”
He approached me cautiously and began to look over my body. His hands felt like a gentle breeze in the fall, his fingers as soft as leaves, and I could hardly feel any pressure as he methodically went over me. I was appreciative of the caution, and I belatedly realized that I was unaware of what they thought was best. Maybe I was not free to leave after all.
“You seem fine,” He said, his strange echoing voice all the same. “I would refrain from any and all magic use unless necessary.”
I nodded obediently.
“Thank you again,” I managed a small grin. “I appreciate you coming to my aid in the field.”
He nodded at me, “You saved my life. I thought it was only fair.”
Nodding, I turned away.
“Before you leave,” He called out. I turned back around. “Sam would like to see you. I think she’s quite fond of you.”
This time, I smiled.
“After I see my loved ones, I’ll be sure to make some time for her.”
Cadoc chuckled, “Goodluck. My sister is not known for her patience. My condolences to your family over the loss.”
I nodded, looking at the grass under my feet. Cordelia… Oh, Wendy would be completely beside herself. I knew I needed to get to them quickly. We should be together right now.
“Was it only Cordelia?” I asked, sniffling.
“She was the only one who died,” He replied. “Your friend is still blind, one was badly injured and still asleep, and another was burned on her leg.”
“Who’s here?” I demanded, looking back up.
I wanted to see them before I left.
“His name is Taejin, I think.”
My eyes closed on their own. I needed to get to Seokjin and make sure he was alright. His mother had to be in hysterics by now. Torn between seeing Taejin and going to comfort his family, my body moved on its own to go back into the tent. A hand on my arm stopped me.
Cadoc was pressed very closely against my body, his strange figure formed around my own, and I had to suppress a shiver. He was ice cold. I felt his lips brush against my ear as he whispered, his body far too close to mine. Within a second, he completely vanished from sight.
“They’re here.”
I turned my head towards his mouth, waiting for him to say more.
He elaborated, “I’m not sure who it is, but there’s someone in this village working with the elves.”
“How do you know that?” My voice was hardly audible, lips unmoving.
“I’ll explain later.”
I nodded. We were not in the best place for this conversation. Pulling away from his embrace, I pulled a face to make my pause look less suspicious. It was not difficult to look heartbroken when all I saw was devastation. What felt like fingers grazed my cheek.
“Meet me in your meadow tonight,” He urged.
I nodded my head once and hoped he understood what it meant. Seemingly satisfied with my answer, the cold chill that surrounded me was gone. Pushing the conversation to the back of my mind, I started walking once more. Whatever the quietus was talking about would have to wait until I was finished with my loved ones.
I found Taejin a few minutes later after asking anyone who was well enough to guide me to his place. He was still asleep, a large gash on his face that was red and raised, but I was happy that his breathing was normal. I was sure he would wake up and be alright, but the scars from that night would haunt all of us forever. Cordelia’s face came to me again and I shivered. I could only hope that would be our only fall- it was the only one the witches could handle. I looked at him for a few minutes more before turning to leave the medical tent. I had a family who needed me right now and I would have to trust that the team here would be enough for Taejin.
Stepping into the daylight, I was shocked by the desolation. Everything had been destroyed. Not a single building had been left in-tact and I knew many of the villagers would be unable to fix their homes. They were far too injured. Choking back a sob, I reminded myself of what I needed to do. I could fall apart later, right now my family needs me to be strong.
Eyes followed me with rapt attention as I passed a small group of villagers. I recognized none of them, but I assumed they knew who I was. I never was able to learn the names of the wolves in the village outside of the ones I had helped through the change. The women were older, rounder, and probably no longer shifted if I had to guess. Looking ahead, I pointedly ignored them. I had no time for local gossip.
“They’re in the Park house,” One of the women called out. Looking at the group once more, I straighten my back. None of them were unkind, in fact, I could only find grief in their eyes. I did not know who they lost, but I hoped they would be able to recover. “It’s the only house left down the main road to your right. Be careful, there’s a lot of debris.”
I nodded, “Thank you.”
“No,” Another woman cried, her eyes as red as her sunburnt face. “Thank you. Alpha Taehyung told us what you did.”
I smiled at the group sadly before walking away. The praise did not feel nice. It should have, but it did nothing to settle my unease. None of this should have happened. I should have said something. I cringed at that thought and stopped walking to pull myself together. Not here. Not now. Later.
The house was easy to find. Surrounded by ashes and uninhabitable houses, the Park home stood as a shining beacon of hope within it all. Of course, the little house was worse for wear. The entire yard had been scorched by the flames that surrounded it, most of the walls burnt and weak, and there was a hole where you could see straight through into the home. I could see Seokjin sitting at a table with Wendy in his lap. They were talking but I was still too far away to hear anything.
Deciding to use the front door, I frowned at the burnt wood. The house must have been the last one to go up in flames. I knocked and waited. Inside, everything stilled and a singular set of steps echoed. I braced myself for an onslaught of hugs and kisses from everyone, the never ending tears, and having to keep myself in one piece. I was a rock in a river and I would do whatever I needed in order to calm everyone inside.
Callisto answered the door. Her eyes were heavy with bags underneath them and her chocolate hair clipped back messily. Despite her obvious exhaustion, her green eyes lit up as she took me in. Unexpectedly, she threw her arms around my neck and tried out in what sounded like relief.
“Oh, thank Goddess,” She cried, her voice thick with emotion. “My brother will be so happy to see you. Oh, we were so worried.”
Hesitantly, I hugged the young girl back. She was so small and underweight I felt uncomfortable holding her too tightly. I could imagine her bones were just as frail as she was. She was off of me as quickly as she scooped me into her arms, and took my hand in hers as if we had known one another for years. She made my presence known so cheerfully I felt embarrassed. No one had been this excited to see me in my entire life.
“Birdie,” It was Wendy, her eyes wild, who spotted me first.
I ran to her immediately. The sea witch crumbled in my arms, sobs making her entire body shake as she held onto me for dear life. Her hair had been cut, the blonde strands ending at her shoulders instead of flowing down her back, and I could still feel how dirty they were. She was frail, every bit as shaken as I felt, and seemed frenzied in her attack. I did not know if I should tell her that I had been the one to find Cordelia or not. I thought of her face again, her green eyes with their thousand yard stare, and a flash of red broke through. Her hair had always been ostentatious, frizzled and going every which way with a curtain of bangs that hid a fair amount of her face. That night they were caked in dirt, the orange glowing red under the fire, and stuck to her skin like leather. I shivered and held Wendy tighter. I prayed she had never seen her mentor like that.
“She-she-” She gasped, her pain piercing my heart.
“I know,” I croaked, running my fingers through her hair in an attempt to calm her. “I know, Wendy Bird.”
Looking over her shoulder now, I was pleased to see the rest of the witches huddled around a small fireplace. All of them looked at us now aside from Yoongi. His eyes were unfocused still and I remembered Cadoc telling me he was still blinded. Whispering to Wendy, I slowly removed her vice grip around my neck so I could go to them all. Seokjin was standing beside us and took her from me easily. He patted my head with his large hand and held the broken woman close. She was falling apart right before my eyes and I would not be able to comfort her. I would surely fall apart, too.
I went to Hoji first. Her husband was ill in the medical tent and I was sure she was frazzled. Jin would be too busy mourning the loss of our friend to fuss over his father. Especially since we all knew it was a matter of time before he woke up. Cordelia would never wake up. She was so heavy. I shuddered at the thought.
Heji reached out to me from beside her sister and smiled sadly. They had always looked the same, their faces virtually indistinguishable, but this moment they were the same woman to me. They were haunted, their eyes dull and sorrowful, and there would be no one to keep the other in check. No sarcastic comments followed by a gentle chastising. Right now, they were one woman mourning a shared loss.
Yoona was at her son’s side and pointed me in Thelma’s direction. Taking a look at Yoongi, he was hurt and sad, but I was not sure what else could be happening inside of his head. His eyes had always been so expressive. I nodded at her and went to the woman beside her. Hyun-Jin was missing from the group and she whispered that he was asleep.
“Thank you,” Thelma whispered fiercely, almost like she was afraid of talking any louder. “You kept him away from the brunt of it all.”
I nodded but said nothing. Thelma did not reach for me like the others. She was never one to rely on others, and I knew how devastated she was. Cordelia was a good friend of hers, one she had known for many years, and she was not there to help her. Thelma had a self-blaming streak. I would talk with her later but for now I was content with letting her feel however she wanted.
I thought of Shiloh again and sighed heavily. I was so angry with myself for not getting a proper goodbye. I missed her so dearly, so acutely, and I could feel the hole in my heart she left with her leaving. I would again have no closure. Unlike Aldara, however, Shiloh and I had fought together fiercely and made our peace in the forest. She was safe and back where she belonged. It gave me little comfort.
“Y/N?” Yoongi called out, raising a hesitant hand.
I was at his side quickly. He looked so much younger right now. I reached out and took his hand in my own.
“I’m here, Yoon.”
Reaching out his other hand, I took it with ease. Another oddity. Yoongi never offered physical affection like this before. Looking at his face I frowned. I guess he had no choice at the moment. I squeezed them comfortingly.
“Are you alright?” His mother asked, squeezing my shoulder. “We were worried but Cadoc said you’d be fine with rest.”
I nodded but spoke for Yoongi’s benefit.
“I’m fine,” I whispered. I understood Thelma’s hesitance to break the silence. It could bring more unknowns and that was a frightening idea. “Physically speaking. I don’t really know outside of that.”
Yoongi’s grip on my hands tightened.
“How are you feeling, Yoon?” I asked him.
He shook his head, “I’m scared.”
I inched closer to him. Our knees touched, both of us kneeling on the floor, and I took one of my hands back. I smoothed down his bed-head and caressed his cheek. He reminded me of the little boy from the meadow who cried when he saw bees. I felt the tears falling from my eyes and surrendered to my pain. I could cry, if only a little bit, right now. Yoongi would always catch my tears.
“Me too,” I admitted, voice so soft I was not sure if anyone heard me.
“Thelma told us about your visions,” I heard Hoji say. “We’re all sorry you had to deal with this alone.”
I shook my head, the force of my guilt rearing its ugly head.
“I saw nothing. I knew something bad was happening, but I was blind and stupid. I should have said something. I should have-”
“We are all responsible,” Thelma interrupted. “I take full responsibility for you keeping your mouth shut. It was my choice to do so because of my own certainty. I should have known better than to assume anything.”
“And we all knew you were lying about Aldara’s book,” Yoona chimed in. “All of us knew you were hiding something, Thelma. If we’re playing the blame game then you can charge us all.”
“But Cordelia,” I choked.
“It’s not your fault,” Wendy cried, her voice small and weak.
Turning to look at her, I knew I was doing a horrible job at keeping everything at bay. My heartache was too much and everything felt like it was closing in on me. I would have to tell Jimin that I lied to him. I’d have to tell him his village was in ruin because of me. I’d have to become a traitor now. Taehyung might as well throw me to the elves because of my mistakes. And yet, I knew they would not. Taehyung would be understanding, his comfort a warm blanket around me. Sol would be happy it led her mate back to her and so things would naturally become alright between us. Jimin adored me, but would he be able to look at me the same way?
“The elves were coming,” Hoji said, her voice frail and hoarse. “They would have attacked regardless of you telling these people anything. It wasn’t like any of you were on good terms. They probably would have attacked you the moment you stepped foot into this place. Lord knows those wolves would have had a fight on their hands.”
I tried to let the words sink in and ease my guilt. It never happened. Having had enough of this pity party, I took a deep breath and readied for my next plan. I had to see Jimin and he was with Taehyung at the palace.
“I’m going to check on the others,” My voice was stronger than I felt. “I came here straight away and I think Jimin will worry if he sees me missing.”
Thelma nodded, “Will you be back?”
“Later,” I assured her.
Callisto had made herself scarce. The human girl was nowhere in sight, but I shrugged it off. She may have known we would need some space. Saying my brief goodbyes, I went out of the front door. The brunette was out here and talking with a young man.
He was huge, towering over the tiny woman, his muscles massive and bulging. He was very tanned, skin reminding me of a bronze medal, that contrasted completely with his light hair. It was a strange mixture of colors ranging from a taupe brown, gentle great, and stark white. Cropped short and slicked back from his face, the man smiled down at Callisto and it stopped me dead in my tracks. His smile was wide, his teeth perfectly straight, and a small dimple appeared on his left cheek. The way his eyes smiled with him made me want to run as fast as I could toward the palace. I was looking at Jimin’s younger brother who looked everything and nothing like him.
Seeming to notice me, the wolf’s attention snapped to me straight away. Callisto, following his gaze, gave me a blinding smile. Outside, her eyes looked more blue than they had before and I belatedly realized they were a strange hazel. The man still seemed weary of me but did not immediately question why I was at his house.
“Birdie?” He called out, his voice deeper and rougher than Jimin’s. His eyes were also lighter, a strange greenish-brown. “What are you doing here?”
I guessed he had little reason to go to the medical ward recently. From the look on Callisto’s face, she was agitated with him and the way he was speaking. I quickly put things together from there. Jimin’s brother had always known about us, even before we had gotten together, but that did not mean anyone else had. Out here things were much more likely to be overheard. I was filled with gratitude at the small gesture even if I thought it was no longer necessary. Taehyung was horrible at keeping his mouth shut and my entire family would think it odd to hide something this important. Jimin himself may want to announce it in order to establish a connection between wolves and witches.
“I needed to see them before going to the palace,” I replied. “You must be Jihyun, then?”
He nodded, a small smile on his face. He was looking me up and down and I felt self conscious. I had yet to see myself in a mirror though I doubted I looked presentable. Callisto slapped his chest this time and hissed at him to stop. I chuckled.
“Jimin spoke about you a lot,” I continued.
Jihyun looked away bashfully. “I’ve heard plenty about you as well.”
“You should be going,” Callisto said, giving her mate a look. “My brother is going to be so happy to see you up and walking around.”
Jihyun laughed at this and I felt a wave of embarrassment wash over me. Biting my lip, I nodded and started walking again. Callisto again hit the wolf and chastised him for being “such a boy.” I laughed gently and met Jihyun’s melodramatic pout with a grin.
“I swear,” She groaned. “You’re always so unencumbered by the thought process.”
Jihyun laughed, “Don’t start pulling out the Namjoon insults on me.”
She rolled her eyes, “If you were Namjoon, I’d been far more likely to punch you in the face. Broken hand be damned.”
The two of them faded as I got further away. They were an odd couple. Obviously very much in love, and childish to an extent, but it still brought a smile to my face. At least two of us could find a sense of humor right now. At least they still had each other. I hoped their mother was fine, but I had yet to see her.
A few villagers were beginning to move debris from the roads and put back together a few small buildings. I saw Namjoon amongst the builders and kept walking. I had little to say to the wolf right now and he was busy. Up ahead, Jungkook was throwing things out. It was a rare occurrence to see the omega outside of the palace’s heavily guarded walls, even rarer still away from Sol’s side, but I could imagine they had some distance now that Taehyung was back home. Jungkook no longer needed to shadow and protect Sol anymore.
I wondered about Hoseok and Hyuna. I trusted Shiloh to heal him, but I had heard nothing about them since I woke up. The witches would have known something, but I was not sure if they would have been thinking of my friends. They were nothing to any of them so the news would be tragic but nothing worth mentioning.
I climbed the hill to get to the palace with great care. I would have liked to use magic but I was respecting Cadoc’s wishes. No magic unless necessary. It would be for the best. I remembered the conversation the elves were having in the forest and quickened my steps. If they were going to attack Northorn and then four days later come back to Bangtan I needed to know if a siege was already underway. I would use nothing, I decided, my magic would be for fighting purposes only.
Someone spotted me climbing and came to my aid immediately. The young woman shifted, her gray and brown fur looked pretty in the sun, and offered her back to me. The rest of the way up, which would have taken me at least fifteen minutes, was spanned in three. The wolf girl was massive.
She let me down before making her way back down the hill. She had to have been helping the others dealing with the destruction and I felt bad for taking her away from her duties. The girl had not seemed to mind, however, so I decided to let it go. I had far more pressing matters to attend to anyway.
There were a few wolves guarding the outside of the palace. One of them looked at me, but paid little attention once they recognized me. I was able to walk inside without a hitch, the doors to the palace heavy and loud.
The air still smelled of soot, and I was thrust into a swarm of people running around the palace floors. I had only been here during the night and never saw the help that shuffled through the halls. Now, that help was busy scrubbing walls, cleaning fabrics, and grabbing documents. Wrinkling my nose, I did not expect the level of disgust I felt. These people should be taking care of their homes- not polishing these stone floors.
“Can I help you?” I heard a gentle voice call out to me.
She was a large woman, three heads bigger than me, and built like a bear. Her body was muscular and broad, and I found her short, silky, black hair beautiful. Giving me a small smile, her smile lines and wrinkles revealed her to be older than most in the village. I was happy she had survived the fight. Many of the elderly would not.
“I’m looking for Alpha Jimin,” I replied.
The woman nodded, her face grim and evenly set. I had a feeling I would not be seeing him anytime soon. Figuring I would exhaust all of my options before letting her lead me out, I introduced myself as well as my title. The maid jumped, her fear palpable, and a pang of anger hit me. What had they done to this woman?
“I’m so sorry,” She rushed, her eyes pleading. “I did not know.”
I waved away her concerns.
“There’s no crime,” I soothed. She visibly relaxed and I grit my teeth. I would need to discuss this with Taehyung. No one would be made to fear me so long as I had anything to say about it. “Please, I need to see him.”
She nodded, “Of course, Uxor Park.”
“Excuse me?”
Seemingly embarrassed, the woman tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. She started walking up the grand staircase and I followed her closely.
“My apologies,” She spoke once we were at the top. She kept her voice low and I struggled to hear her. “Alpha Jimin has announced to the elders of your bond, but I forgot you have been recovering from battle. Uxor is the word for wife and will be what you are called from this moment forward.”
I frowned, “What’s your name?”
“Sloan, daughter of Ammon.”
I hummed, “Well, Sloan, I have a name and I would prefer to be called by it.”
Sloan looked scandalized. I was unsure of pack etiquette on this level. I had never cared much about it before. Thinking about Jimin, I recalled the nickname he used for me often and asked the maid what it meant.
“It means ‘loved friend,’” She replied, pleasantly. “We use it when talking of our closest loved ones. It’s a platonic nickname.”
The word platonic was distasteful. I had hoped it meant something more. Knowing Jimin would have called any of the copiae amica put a bad taste in my mouth. Seeming to notice my discomfort, Sloan smiled my way.
“It is something the Alpha would take seriously. I’ve never heard him use nicknames for anyone outside of his family, and never amica. He might find other words too intense before a bonding ceremony.”
I cocked an eyebrow at the large woman who chuckled fondly. The tension from earlier seemed to be gone now and I hoped she knew I would never raise my voice to her. I would not put it past Ahn to lay hands on their workers. He was a vile little man.
“He’s a very traditional man,” Sloan continued. “He’s been going about your union in the most courteous way imaginable, and had refused to publicly announce your partnership until you woke up.”
This did please me. It would have been unimaginably difficult this morning if the village had known I stole the heart of their strongest alpha. The group of women seemed kind enough, and his family I had met were going out of their way for my people, yet I still felt anxiety. I had seen how quickly they turned on Taehyung.
“Even knowing how careful he is, I'm surprised the bond has not been complete,” Sloan spoke away without much care if I replied or not. I could imagine she never gossiped with people outside of the maids. “He really is such a gentleman.”
“What are you talking about?” I finally spoke again, entertained by the woman. The young wolves always seemed uptight regarding sex and their rituals, but Sloan’s age made her less self conscious.
“I know many wolves,” Sloan’s voice dropped even lower now. “Most are dreadful mates. Men are raised to believe they own their wives, but times are changing. Alpha Jimin is one of the best men I know.”
“You know him well?”
“No,” She admitted, “But he’s one of the few wolves who have never laid a hand on me.”
Instantly, I felt a kinship to this woman. While I was never hit, no one had ever even thought of laying a finger to me, I did understand what it felt like to be trapped. Here she was in her prison and she could find little solace in her place in society. I thought of Ahn again and wanted nothing more than to kill him myself. If he was even alive.
“Is the vermin alive?” I sneered, anger getting the best of me.
“Ahn?” She hissed, her fear palpable. Then just as quickly she relaxed. “No, he’s dead. It is only Chief Kim, Namjoon’s father, and Chief Bo. She has been struggling greatly. She lost a child.”
I felt a great amount of guilt again. That poor woman. I tried picking her face out in my mind, but could not remember who she was. There were three women on the council table, but Ahn never allowed them to speak. He must have been one of those dreadful mates Sloan had been speaking about. I never disliked the man, had never really liked him either, but my loyalties to Taehyung would always sway my bias now. If Chief Kim wanted a problem then I would be sure he knew exactly who he would be up against.
I thought of Namjoon and knew my worries would be unnecessary once things started up again. We had all lost something, and from Namjoon’s apologies I would hope his father would honor his son’s wishes. I would have to thank the alpha for helping me during the fight.
“Taehyung is a good man,” Sloan was rushed now and I assumed we were approaching the others now. “A very, very good man. Sol is lucky.”
I could not agree with her more. After spending as much time with the boy as I had there was no denying his potential. What he lacked in aggression he made up for in heart. Sure, he was gullible and prone to random outbursts that led to nowhere, but I knew what he had inside of him. The way he fought was only one facet of his life. When I thought of his strength the way he held Sol in his arms came to mind. She was as precious to him as silk, and he made sure to hold her tightly enough to stop her from hurting others.
“However,” Her voice was practically gone from how softly she spoke now. I had to lean into her and tap into the animal within me to make out everything she said. “His sweetness will be used against him in these coming months. Tell me, Birdie, do you believe in him?”
I answered without hesitation, “More than anyone in Lustra.”
“Even more than your Jimin?”
I smiled, “Taehyung will give your people something Jimin never will.”
“And what’s that?”
I looked at her now. I had a feeling I would be in this place more than ever, and I would want to keep her close to me. She was a comfort that I never had. We understood each other.
“Peace of mind.”
I meant every word. If Jimin had been alpha I was sure this entire village would have been to Northorn by now. The fight would have never ended. Everything would have revolved around war. Jimin would give them strength and hope, but his own desire to end things as quickly as possible would place people in danger. No one would be prepared to do the right thing- wait and plan. I doubted any of the witches would be here either. I would certainly still be in my cottage.
Taehyung was methodical. He always came off as goofy or passive, but I knew better. Those eyes saw everything and information was precious to him. He listened to your every word and took it to heart. He would want to be sure as many people could be helped, that those who can’t help themselves would be hidden, and look at every avenue of support he could. He was able to get around my love’s vital flaw- pride. Taehyung had plenty of it, but he was as humble as they come. I smiled fondly thinking of him.
I was so happy we had made it through this.
“What happens now?” I asked, a large set of wooden doors coming into view as we turned into a quiet hallway.
“You will meet with the council as a new Oxur,” Sloan began, a professionalism in her voice that had faded as we spoke now back. I could sense her nerves as we got closer to the room. “After that you will begin planning your wedding. Of course, with everything going on that may be postponed or rushed. You and Bo will discuss your options at some point.
“You will live in this palace as things play out. You and Jimin will not be permitted to be alone together without a chaperone present. Again, things might be different with the fallout. Ahn made these rules but Taehyung will likely ignore them. He and the Luna wedded yesterday to establish their bond as quickly as possible. Bo was not happy but understood. Kim just wanted to be sure the Luna was feeling better since being near him once more.”
I nodded, trying to keep up. The strange need for virgins here was odd. I had never met a wolf who had actually waited for their wedding to bond with their mate. Hoseok and Hyuna were inseparable from what I heard. Sol and Taehyung had no choice, but from her reaction to him I was sure they would be on one another the second the were alone. Jimin, however, had kept his distance. I smiled. He was trying to protect my honor, even if I thought the whole process was dripping in misogyny.
“Neither of them are angry about your union,” She continued, speaking quickly. “In fact, Chief Kim was quite pleased. He believes your children will be very strong and that will be vital if this war continues.
“You and Jimin must meet with his family to discuss arrangements after the wedding. Oftentimes, a woman will be asked to become a servant to the family for the first year of marriage in exchange for a lifetime of loyalty. Mi-Jeong will not do that to you. She is a very good, strong woman and will be happy you have made her son happy.
“I will say that she can be a wildcard. Quick tempered and straight to the point. I adore her but she can come off abrasive. It’s why she and your sister-in-law get along so well. You must call them your mater and glos until they say otherwise. Again, I don’t believe they are too concerned with this but it will be helpful in showing respect.”
I struggled to keep up with the rules. Was this what Sol had been taught her entire life? I scoffed. Taehyung could care less about how “lady like” the girl was, and I was sure Jimin cared even less about my own manners. All of this shit was made by some man who wanted to control every aspect of his peoples’ lives. Sloan grinned at me. I doubted she saw the need for these ideals either.
“The most important thing will be your intentions. You will be one of the most important women in the village now, and everyone will have to trust and respect you for this to ever work. I believe many see what you have done for us and will be easily swayed. I cannot promise all will be satisfied, but this war is more important than petty things like this.”
I could only pray Sloan was right. Reaching the door, Sloan gestured for me to be quiet as she knocked. The gentle chatter inside ceased. After announcing my presence, the room exploded. I grinned when I heard Sol’s voice over them all begging to be the one to greet me.
“I need to apologize,” She stated, already deciding she had won this fight. “Besides, you’ve both had her long enough.”
The door opened with a loud whoosh. The heavy doors seemed to weigh nothing under the Luna’s hands. Sol was glowing, her golden skin plump and dewy, and I saw the sparkle back in her brown eyes. A huge smile on her face, Sol wasted little time running into my body, her arms wrapping around me tightly. I hugged the girl back, my face hot from the attention. Sloan stood beside us and did not utter a word.
I would be fixing that.
“I’m so sorry,” Sol exclaimed, practically shaking in her excitement. She was so happy, so overjoyed that it was difficult to believe a war was happening in Lustra. I wondered just how sheltered she was being in here. “I can’t believe I scratched you.”
I scoffed, “There’s nothing to forgive. That was the least important thing that happened.”
Sol pouted, “I still needed to apologize. You’ve done too much for me to be treated that way.”
I hoped my eyes could convey just how much I understood what she meant. I did not need her apologies, did not want them, and I would never speak of this incident again. I took Taehyung in because I wanted to, and no one would be indebted to me as far as I was concerned. To her I had saved her entire universe. To me I had harbored a fugitive because it was the right thing to do.
“Enough about that,” I waved her off. “I’m here to see Jimin.”
I heard a sharp intake of breath, but shrugged it off. I hadn’t said anything wrong according to our relationship. If Jimin had an issue, then we would talk about it. Until then, I was unbothered by the thoughts of others.
“I’d like to be excused now.”
Sol was momentarily forgotten as she clung to my side. He was so tired. His voice was rugged and slow and so, so defeated. I wanted to run my fingers through his hair and kiss his nose. I knew that would be too far in this place, but I did untangle myself from Sol to get closer to him.
“After,” The deep, masculine voice was not to be argued with. “It will only take a few moments, Alpha.”
Finally stepping into the room, I felt better with Jimin in sight. His hair was tied back so I could see his wilted expression with full clarity. There would be no hiding from me right now. I wanted to rush to his side and let him know that I was fine. Catching Taehyung’s eyes, I held myself back. This would be quick.
Raising to his feet, Taehyung bowed to me. I bowed back, knowing that we would not hug again. It was disrespectful to do so, and he would want to be sure his mate would be comfortable with that level of familiarity.
Jimin stayed seated but his eyes never left me. This would be difficult for him. The two of us had gone through hell a few days ago, and I had not held him since. A gentle voice called out to me.
“It’s so wonderful to see you alive Birdie,” An elderly woman, who I could only guess was Chief Bo, greeted. “The Council was beginning to worry.”
I gave the woman a small smile.
“I am quite well,” I assured.
“We are grateful for your service,” The voice from before said.
Turning around, I was greeted by an older man. His hair was going gray and lines had become more pronounced. It took one look to know this was Namjoon’s father. They shared the same mono-lidded eyes, both of them just as serious and stoic as the other, but that was where the similarities ended. I could only imagine how his mother looked and the strength of those genes.
“I don’t believe we have had the pleasure of a formal introduction,” Chief Kim approached and bowed deeply. I returned the gesture.
“I am Kim Yong-Seok, Namjoon’s father. I’ve served this council since the time of the previous Birdie, and I am honored to have fought alongside you.”
“I am Y/N,” I replied. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Chief Kim.”
The man sat down in one of the many chairs in the room. There was a large table in the middle of it all, but no one seemed interested in the papers on it. I stayed standing. I had not noticed Sol’s return to the room and grinned. She was curled in Taehyung’s lap not listening to a word we were saying. I was very jealous and my patience was thinning. Jimin had still not said a word.
“I would like to tell you how much I appreciate you for taking Alpha Taehyung in,” The Chief continued. “My son was not acting rationally, and he had many voices in his ear, but I tried to make him see reason. Ahn was the one who took the letter you sent him. Chief Bo found it in his things yesterday morning.”
My jaw clenched. The man was dead and I would try not to speak ill of him right now. Everyone was mourning and my anger would solve nothing. It still did not sit well with me that either one of these elders lived. They could not shift anymore and would be easy targets for the elves. I had heard little of them before and Namjoon had said everyone was being irrational. Not once had he talked of his father or this Chief Bo. I did not trust these two and I thought back to Cadoc.
We had a spy amongst us.
The conversation the elves had came back to me as well, and I knew I needed to say something. Aldara had said I needed to find Naida, whoever that may be, and hopefully it would lead me to answers. I decided I would need to talk with Cadoc about that later. I glanced at Jimin and bit my lip. Sneaking away may be a challenge.
If Sloan was right then it would not be, but Ahn was the one in charge of these rules. I did not know Kim or Bo well enough to say if they felt similarly. I heard Bo shifting behind me but said nothing. She did not talk very much.
“I understand,” I would keep those thoughts to myself. “All is forgiven. I actually have some things to discuss if that would be alright with you.”
The man nodded.
“I overheard the elves talking when I went to find Jimin’s party out in the woods,” I sighed when I heard Bo’s noise of disapproval. She was uncomfortable with the way I addressed Jimin it seemed. I ignored her.
“They were speaking in a very old language that I don’t speak fluently. Unfortunately, I could only pick out a few words but I put things together. They mentioned moving to attack Northorn and 4 days after they would come back to Bangtan.”
“Four days after what?” Bo’s voice startled me.
I shrugged, “I can’t say for sure, but it would have to be if they were successful in the siege.”
“So, 4 days after they take Northorn they are coming back?” Taehyung clarified.
“Again, I can’t say for sure. I’m sorry.”
“Don’t apologize,” Finally, he spoke. “You’re not infallible. Thank you for telling us what you do know.”
“Yes,” Chief Kim nodded his agreement. “We will have to prepare. The attack on Northorn began last night.”
Chief Kim stood, his intimidating figure tall enough to reach the ceiling. He looked past me, obviously to the other Chief, and they had some kind of silent conversation. My eyes stayed on Jimin now. I knew this meeting would be over soon.
“I think it would be best if Oxur Park stayed in her own suite,” I heard Bo say.
I did not like that woman.
“I agree,” Chief Kim replied.
I did not like him either.
“They should be separated until their union,” She continued. “The witch needs to learn proper etiquette before touching the Alpha.”
I hated her.
Jimin looked as impressed as I did. With a deep scowl, Jimin disagreed vehemently. Taehyung took his side as well as Sol. They cited the war and bloodshed. Why waste time with these nonsensical rules when we had lived together for two months? I chose to stay quiet.
Chief Kim finally said his peace, “Separating them is not an option. The Luna is right, they have already lived intimately and I will not break their bonds for the sake of tradition.”
“But they have not completed anything,” Bo argued, sending a hateful look my way.
It was obvious she would be someone to look down on me. I could not understand what I had done to make her dislike me so, but I did not care enough to figure it out. Jimin was mine and nothing would change that.
“We both know that it is not the only part of the bond,” Chief Kim scolded. “They will sleep separately but we need both of them present for this war. Forcing them apart will be detrimental.”
I was still weary of them both, but I was far more inclined to like Chief Kim. Bo was not satisfied with his answer but chose to keep her mouth shut. With that decided, Chief Kim dismissed us so he would have time to think. Taehyung and Sol stayed behind.
“Alpha Jimin,” I wanted to groan in frustration.
Having just stood up, Jimin was still too far away for my liking. Growing tired of holding back, I walked to his side. He reached out and took my hand. Bo frowned at the contact.
“Yes, Chief Kim?”
“Come back in an hour. We have much to discuss regarding this revelation.”
He nodded, “Of course.”
Just like that, the two of us were cut off from the remaining conversation. Kim wanted to speak with Taehyung about an upcoming fight, and I was sure this would be better with Jimin here. My own selfishness was jumping for joy at being alone with him again, but I was worried how this short break may affect this war.
Again, this Naida came to mind. Aldara had said I would have to find her, which meant she was not in Bangtan. I doubted I would find her in Moland either. Everyone knew everyone in the swamp and the name had never come up before. Naida was in the beyond, someplace within Lustra that I had never seen before, and it scared me.
Jimin led me out of the room, and I was sad to see Sloan had already disappeared. She must have left as soon as Sol came out to greet me. Wrapping an arm around my waist, Jimin pulled me to his side and quickened his pace. I struggled to keep up, but I pushed my worries to the side. For now, I would allow myself to be happy to just be near him.
“So,” I whispered, forcing myself to smile, “I’m your wife now?”
His ears reddened.
“It’s just a formality,” He replied, voice suspiciously even. I giggled at his flushed face and calmed easily. We were just us right now and that would have to be enough. I would worry about Cadoc once the sun set. “I had planned on proposing properly once this war was over.”
Slowing down, Jimin opened a door and pulled me inside. It was a dimly lit room with only candle light and a large bed within it. Fresh sheets smelled of cotton and lavender and I was unhappy with how barren it was. Only two pillows and a thin blanket. I was already itching to go back to my cabin and nest in my thick quilts.
Thinking about the cabin made me think about Shiloh. I had never gotten the chance to say goodbye. I knew I should be happy to be with my mate again, but I was so tired of plastering on a face of good health. A flash of white hot anger burst through my chest and I kicked one of the stone walls.
“Amica.”
I kicked the wall again and groaned in my frustration. Everything had fallen apart so quickly. Shiloh holding Hoseok flashed behind my eyes and I kicked the wall again. I didn’t even know how he was doing and I would never see my precious little owl again. Another kick. Yoongi was blind and helpless, Hyun-Jin lost a piece of his childhood, and Taejin could have died. Cordelia did die. I screamed now, tears in my eyes, as I kicked and punched at the wall.
“Amica,” Jimin grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the bloodied wall.
My hands shook and I fell to my knees and cried.
“Fall apart,” He whispered. “I’ll be here to hold you together.”
And so, for the first time in a long time, I allowed myself to sob.
Tumblr media
The moon was high in the sky. Sitting in the faceless room, which I now knew as my own, I stared out the lone window and waited for a sign of Cadoc. It should not be too much longer before I get out of here. The walls were suffocating without Jimin around to hold me.
He had stayed for the entire hour and held me. I cried until I could no longer produce tears and then I wailed. I told everything then. I told him about my visions before everything had hit, how I had kept things from him out of fear for his safety, and all of the ways I had gone out of my way to keep everyone in the dark. I stuttered my way through the way I fought off the elf, how much it had hurt to kill myself, and the way Aldara looked like an angel.
He held me tightly when I told him about Taehyung and I fighting our way through the elves to get to Sol, how she had bitten and swung at me like a stranger, and just how tiny she was. I felt him flinch when we talked about finding Yoongi and he cried with me when I got to dragging Cordelia’s body from the dead.
“She was so heavy,” I wailed, rocking back and forth in his arms. “So, so heavy.”
He did not want to leave me, but he had duties to attend to. He offered to send someone up to sit with me but I declined the offer. I did not want anyone but him to step foot in this room. This would be my new nest and it was mine to decide what to do with and who to allow. I would make an exception to Taehyung or my witches, but that would be all. I doubted they would ever come here to find me, not when I was so desperate to get away from this castle.
Finally, I caught sight of a shadowy figure running through the village. Without waiting for a signal or call sign, I shifted. My bird flew around easily and made no noise as it glided through the dark palace. I had to shift back once I reached the main door. I knew it would be impossible to open without alerting someone to my disappearance, so I needed to find another way. The window in my room did not open, but hopefully one of these would. After checking a few, I found that one was completely missing from its spot. They must have been repairing it.
Taking advantage of the opening, I shifted and took off to the forest. It was dead silent tonight and I hoped my friends were safe. Patto would be fine but Delinah could have been injured or killed in the elven rampage. Elves ate deer. I did not want to ponder on the thought any further.
Cadoc was waiting for me in my meadow. The cottage was still destroyed but otherwise had seemed completely untouched. Sniffing the air I was sure that no one else had been around here for days. The others must have thought me dead and left the cottage alone once they thought it was useless. Magic and spells were of no use to them, especially my silly little grimoires filled with potions and strange teleports.
“It’s been left alone,” Cadoc shouted once he saw me coming.
I shifted once I was close enough to the ground. The clothing spell had been a wonderful thing to know how to do lately. Cadoc was dressed in dark clothes now and blended into the trees. That weird translucent quality he had the first time we met was back. I hoped we were safe enough but kept up my guard just in case. I fondled the iron ring I was wearing.
“What do you know?” I asked.
“Not much,” He admitted. “Samayna is suspicious of the female chief, but I believe that is too easy a target. Lorcan is untrusting of humans, but his own bias is affecting his judgment. Both of them are going to our queen living deep in Moland to discuss their theories.”
I pursed my lips.
“What evidence is there that anyone was involved?”
“They came in through the cave systems. No elven army could have gone through them that quietly without knowing where to go. How were no wolves able to pick up on them? It’s too strange for us to ignore the possibilities.”
I hated to agree with him but I was odd. The cave was echoey and loud. There were few things that could be quiet enough to invade without someone hearing something. The wolves would have been ready for a cave ambush if they made a single sound, but they did not. You would have to know where to go in order to take advantage of that vantage point.
“You believe me,” Cadoc always sounded so surprised about my trust.
“You make good points,” I replied. “I just don’t understand why someone would use elves against their own people.”
“The same reason the elves turn on their own: Power.”
Elves were disgusting creatures. Aldara had always said a quietus kills for vengeance while an elf kills for glory. Their kind believed in mass genocide and hated what they called “halflings” and “hybrids.” Their country of Etelin were the first to attack during the Century War where they stole the land of Korika from the wolves and foxes living there. Lustra had never fallen but those who once ruled these lands had diminished. Quietus were amongst these populations and a few groups had become highly aggressive towards anyone who was not an elemental.
Those were the ones Aldara killed. She always reminded me that there were good people, good quietus, but it was so hard to imagine as a child. Everything was black and white then, but looking at Cadoc I knew she was right.
“What did your ancestor show you?” He asked. “The little witch boy said you would have seen her in the spirit world.”
I frowned, “She told me to find someone called Naida.”
I had no idea who this could be, but Cadoc’s expression told me that I should.
“And she said you specifically?”
I nodded wearily. Cadoc began to pace and mumble to himself. In the dark on the significance of this name, I grew annoyed. I wished he would get over himself and talk to me. I stayed quiet in fear I would say something rude and tried to be patient.
“You’re going to have to go to the Ozryn Mountains,” He finally said. “Finding Naida is impossible without Khione. She’s in the Mountains near Idris and you may be able to convince her to take you to Naida if you tell her of the situation here in Bangtan.”
I scoffed, “What are you talking about? Who are these people?”
“Khione is an elemental who bends. She is Naida’s closest and oldest friend and will be easier to find.”
I sighed in frustration. I did not like being out of the loop and after the day I had my patience has run dry. I wanted to get back to Foxglove and sneak into Jimin’s house for the night. Bo be damned, I needed to see him. Especially if I would have to leave soon. The thought made me want to cry.
“I don’t know who any of these people are!” I shouted. “Talk to me, Cadoc. I’m lost and you’re saying I need to leave Bangtan to go and find some elemental.”
The quietus needed to pause his pacing to stare at me. I was missing something important, but it was hard to explain how little I knew about the world outside of the forest. I found the politics of Northorn boring and talks of war made me uncomfortable. I knew, however, that these women were not in positions of power within the statehoods. The only woman that came to mind was Queen Elizabeth of Northorn.
“You are too young to remember the age of the dragons,” Cadoc said and I realized he thought I was much older than I was. I wondered if I looked like Heidi or Griselda enough to have him confused. “Naida is the mother of them all. She was the first dragon that ever lived and her children are the ancestors of Khione’s people.”
“There’s no Naida living in Alcona,” I interjected, confused.
“Naida is a water dragon,” He replied. “Khione is an elemental who cannot shift as her bloodline was diluted by air elemental blood.”
Dragon shifters, as far as I knew, were fire elementals that lived in the Alcona Islands. Aldara had said during the Century War they had been enslaved and used as weapons of war once the elves learned how to force them to their will. Water and air were far more difficult to control, and we had always assumed they were the only dragons to survive the war. I had never known of these water tribes within Ozryn. It reminded me of the rumors of hybrids living deep in the mountains after the first Quietus Invasion.
“The people of Alcona are familiar with her,” Cadoc continued. “Queen Affra is her godchild but they do not see one another often. Naida mourns the death of her kin and holds a mean grudge against Etelin for what they have done to Lustra.”
I was doubtful I would be able to find this dragon woman. I had hardly stepped foot out of the forest and the further away I had gone was Moland. I had no maps or points of reference to guide me along the journey. Then there was the very real chance I was not allowed to go. Jimin would fight tooth and nail to keep me in Bangtan, and I would need to find a way around him. Cadoc seemed to be following my train of thought.
“Samayna will have the maps you will need for the journey. She may even offer to go with you.”
“No,” I shook my head. “If I’m not here then I want to be sure all of the strongest fighters are. I will go off on my own and write when I can.”
“I can speak with King Hadeon. He can offer up his consort-”
“No,” I emphasize my point once more. “I will do this alone. I can only choose my own fate. If I die then that will be so, no need to pull anybody away from Foxglove.”
Cadoc seemed upset by my resolve but moved on. I would not budge from this. Another reason I could be denied would be lack of hands and I would be sure mine would be the only ones gone. Cogs turning, I was sure I could convince Kim and Bo to allow me passage so long as I promised to return with help no matter what. I could use the excuse of sending for help from Viridi Gramine, but I knew Taehyung would see through the lie. He was another factor I would need to consider.
“You’re braver than you look,” He finally settled on.
“I don’t feel that way,” I replied.
Ignoring the comment, Cadoc continued.
“You will need to get to Clarcton first. There you can find lodging. The elves are still at the northern tip of Northorn to avoid Briar Glen Beach. Keld resides there and he will alert Affra.
“Pack for the cold, buy some clothes, and try to find a guide to the mountains. No one will give you passage, but you might be able to get some help finding your way. Once you’re in the mountains stay south and find the narrow passageway to Idris.”
“How will I know I’m going the right way?”
“Dwarf caves are all over the place. You would be able to hear them during the day. Do not walk at night. You will die. If you’re lucky, someone will be curious and ask why you’re there. Tell them you are looking for Khione. It’s alright to say it’s elves- dwarves hate them more than we do.
“If not, keep going until you see a light in the distance. That is Khione’s tower where the guiding light shines for travelers. At this point you will probably believe you’re going to die, and you will cry in relief. Ozryn is tumultuous even during this time of year. We are lucky they attacked in summer instead of winter or your journey would be impossible.”
This plan was forming itself already. Tonight I would gather grimoires from inside of the cellar and ask Cadoc to take them back with me. For the next two days I would study harder than I ever had in my life in order to prepare for a fight. I would have to pick two or three books to bring along with me that would be my own companions. I would have to get started soon if I had any hope of sorting through my things before sunrise.
“Stand out here,” I told Cadoc. “I need to gather a few things.”
“Heidi would have better information,” He said. “I remember her well from the war. The little girl with her would be okay, too.”
I walked inside and opened the cellar. I would bring along a few of my knives and craft a new one. Thelma’s order for iron had been made and there were two iron scones in my room I could melt down. My magic was fickle and I would have no room for mistakes.
I took three feathers I found in Shiloh’s nest on my way out.
Tumblr media
I found his home easily. Even with the bungalow in disarray and heavily damaged, I could see the care people had took in trying to hold it together temporarily. I did not think it would withstand much of anything, but I could hope it would be enough for Jimin to be safe. Other copiae were in the palace as their homes were too damaged. Bo did not want us in the same place so Jimin had to stay out here.
I went to the bedroom window I had flown to all of those months ago. A lot has changed since then. Jimin was at his desk again, quill in hand and hair tied up. I loved the way the candles lit his face.
Cadoc took my things to my room for me. After picking out five of Heidi’s books, one of Griselda’s, and two more of Aldara’s journals, the two of us came back to the village. His powers made gliding soundlessly easy. My bird would never have been able to make that work. Along with the books, I also took spare trousers, my jewelry box, and my quilts. This room would be mine for a few days and I would make it look as such. I hoped it would bring Jimin comfort in my absence. I knocked on the glass.
Jimin looked at me and stood up. He pointed to the front door and I walked around the small house. The door was already open and Jimin’s arms outstretched for me.
“You were gone when I came to check on you,” He said.
I walked into his chest, kicking the door closed behind me, and wrapped myself around him. His warmth was nice and I breathed him in. I would be away from him for so long…
“I snuck away,” I grinned. “I wanted to get some of my things. Hopefully Bo won’t be too upset with me.”
Jimin chuckled, “Ignore her. She’s hurting and trying to distract herself with other feelings.”
“Like hate?” I rested my chin on his chest and looked up at him. “Disgust? Disdain?”
He kissed my forehead.
“Jealousy.”
He sniffed my hair and stiffened.
“You weren’t alone on your outing.”
I shook my head, “No. Cadoc wanted to meet with me regarding some… issues they were having.”
“Can we talk about it?”
I nodded and forced myself out of his arms. I would never be able to focus on anything like this. I yawned but waved off his grooming. Jimin, like everyone else in my life, treated me like a glass house in a tornado. Normally, I appreciated his pampering but we needed to have a serious talk and it would make me lose my train of thought.
“They believe there’s a whistleblower,” I started, sitting down on his sofa. “Using caves was weird and they’re talking with their Queen about it now.”
“Taehyung and I were talking about that possibility as well,” He mused, looking over at me. “That’s not all, is it?”
I shook my head. I knew this was the part of the night I would have to stay quiet about for now, but I might be able to say some of it. Planting a seed and seeing where it goes never hurt anybody.
“I might have to do something in the next few days,” I looked at my hands. “It won’t be fun, or easy, but you need to trust me, okay?”
“You need to give trust to get it.”
Looking at him, I was sad to see the defeat in his eyes. Keeping things from him had made this situation so much worse than they should have been. Even if he never admits it, even if we never acknowledged this fact right now, I knew him. He was hurt by me keeping quiet and not trusting him enough to defend the both of us. All this time I was keeping him safe without ever thinking about the fact that he wanted to make sure I was okay, too. Taking a deep breath, I decided to just get it out and deal with it right here and now.
“I need to find someone,” I whispered uselessly. There was no one else around. “When I saw Aldara she said I needed to find Naida, a water dragon. Cadoc said that her people would send help as soon as they heard me out.”
“Absolutely not!” He shouted, standing from the sofa.
“I told you that it won’t be easy,” I reached out for him.
Brushing off my affection, Jimin rubbed his ace roughly. He was panicking already. I stayed seated and tried to soften the blow, but came up empty-handed. Nothing would make this easier.
“Not easy? You’re expecting me to be fine with you going on a suicide mission!”
I frowned, “Do you not trust me enough to take care of myself?”
He groaned in frustration.
“Of course you can take care of yourself, but I can’t live with the thought of never seeing you again. They live in the mountains, Y/N! The mountains! You have no idea where you’re going. How can I accept that?”
He was right. If he had come to me with this proposal I would be just as hysterical. I feared for myself, it was the reason I wanted to go alone, but the fear for me was hard to understand. It felt wrong to bring someone else with me, though it would help to ease Jimin’s mind. My friends’ minds as well.
“What if someone came along with me?” I asked.
Pausing his pacing, he started to consider. He was still uncomfortable, that I could see plainly, but some of the tension was gone. I sorted through a list of names but felt uncomfortable with any of them tagging along. None of my witches were allowed to die in those mountains and I only knew wolves who were important.
“Not you,” I quickly added. “Your people need you right now.”
“Then who?” He asked, his voice far more resigned.
“There’s a wolf in the palace. Her name is Sloan and I’m fond of her. She can come with me.”
All at once, Jimin was at ease. I smiled. I knew little about that woman, and had no intentions of dragging her through the mountains with me, but if she eased all of his worries she would be formidable. I was bitter about her mistreatment once more. Pity Ahn had died so easily.
“I can live with that.”
We laid in his bed for the rest of the night, talking and caressing one another. I had missed a lot during my slumber and I was happy to get the rundown. With Sloan’s word from earlier I felt less insecure about our snail’s pace. Jimin truly believed he was honoring me this way and I would let him have this. If he would let me leave then I would wait for marriage. I fell asleep as the sun came up and smiled when I thought of Bo finding my room empty.

Elements separated au .
.
.
.
.
.
.
Fang lately is curious about something , which is the new ......Um- colleague/element that have been frequently come out from Boboiboy's watch .
The element of light , Solar or Cahaya depends how they are called by the elements holder .
He can understand if the new element can be aggressive/curious to the others because they just come out .
But this element ? Just distance themselves to the others include all the element siblings once they're out the watch, which show the big different reaction compare to the others that was come out from the watch for the first time .
At first ,this youngest element doesn't want to talk with anyone, Boboiboy manage to befriend them to be more social to the others, no jokes on this element call themselves as the most intelligent person in the galaxy . They basically live over thousand years and have the knowledge that lost over many centuries which help TAPOPS system have a big update from those rare information and technology.
To be honest.
He didn't have really have a fully good or bad impression towards them.
Are they a good person ?
Yes.
Are they strong and a good teammate on the battle field ?
Yes !
But are they easy to get along ?
NO!!!!
This element might be more open up towards to others but this person is being a smart ass and jerk to everyone except Oboi  ! ( But they are more softer to the girls which is not a bad thing)
This "who know how old are they " Old-thing ! Have been getting his nerve lately !
Flashback :
" Hmmm- Fang ?" " Yes ? " " How come you are the captain when you're so childish ?" "......EXCUSE ME ????" " Yeah childish . You're a popularity complex , a petty person and have a huge obsession toward carrot donut . Just like a kid ~ ." " Well , compare to your age to mine of course I'm a kid to you !" " So you admitted that you're a kid ? How cute~" " You ! " 💢💢
This element enjoy watching Fang in misery , Boboiboy and Tanah have tried to tell them to pipe down a bit .
But it didn't WORK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!💢💢💢💢
So now Fang not only have to deal with the headache form the mission , also trying to keep himself clam whenever the element starts picking on him .
The worse part is sometime the element point out the mistake that he made and starts to correct him with the right solution which it really helps but still insult him at the end ,making Fang who want to thanks them earlier end up having a fight .
This element is not serious like Petir.
This element is not carefree like Angin.
This element is not nice like Tanah .
This element is not forthright like Api .
This element is not clam like Air.
This element is not playful like Daun .
The words that Fang only can label THIS element with is mean , jerk and SAMRT ASS !
"God please give me more patience "  is what Fang keep telling himself for not snap at them.
But to the bright side they can be ......consider as " Cute " sometime, but that does not change the label he give them !
This element is a curious cat and surprisingly very clingily towards to their siblings.
The element might didn't notice that they are becoming more comfortable around the others and starts to showing the" Inner child " inside them .
Boboiboy have once told Fang that all the elements become more active and happy when they feel safe as they starts to be a little childish to heal their trauma .
For Cahaya's case was they'll starts beaming and getting excited toward the new planet and species then starts to make tons of research books about them which are all written with a neat handwriting (to Fang's surprise ) and being more comfortable to have physical contact with their siblings instead of staying away form them and flinches whenever got touch .
Or mumbling about some random facts that no one couldn't catch what they are saying
Which is a good thing to know they are recovering .
"........"
But sometime Fang can't help but think among the seven ,the light element is the one who got hurt the most by their past . It's strange to have that thought but sometime Fang watch the element form far distance, who are all alone at the library watching their own hands as they got lost in thoughts with a misery look as if they recall something .
With some unknow reason it make Fang feel sad to see them like that.
Is it because they having that expression with his friend's face or just pity them even he didn't know anything about their past ?
Fang can't really give himself the right answers.
"........"
To be honest ?
Fang want to be more closer to this element .
Even before they come out the watch , he have wished to meet them. .
.

.
" YOU MONSTER !!! "
" STAY AWAY FROM US !!!!!"
"DON'T COME NEAR ANY FURTHER !! "
"......."
What is happening ? Why are the villagers pointing the weapon to them? And call Solar a monster ?
2 days ago the station receive a SOS signal coming form an unknow planet . They get a mission to justify if the source of signal is true .
They arrive to a forest that where's the signal comes from and located an isolated village that have been attack by evil aliens . The one who send the SOS signal is the youngsters who are still remain in the village while the adults are all capture away.
This village's only electro device is a very old communicator that is barely functionable , the childrens are all afraid the outsiders ,only few of them have the guts to talk with the group . They told them they are taught that never trust someone who comes form the outside but they break the rules for a hope that someone can save their elders and parents .
Yesterday , They located the evil aliens base .
Today , is the time to save the villagers .
Boboiboy have summon Duri first to ambush the base as the other invacuate the hostages . Later Boboiboy summon Solar and Halilintar join fight with the boss that was armed with armors that held the old chief as a hostage . Solar use their Solar beam to destroy the armors ,  Halilintar and Yaya give them a final blow as Solar leaps and catch the chief who get thrown to the air .
Instead of hearing thank you , the chief trying to struggle out the light element arms with horrors in their eyes as they cry out loud with those words :
" PLEASE ! PLEASE ! PLEASE ! DON'T KILL MY CHILDRENS !!!"
" DON'T TAKE AWAY MY HOME AGAIN !!"
Solar look horrified after what they heard from the chief's mouth .
The others looks confuse and the other elements look shocked.
Later the chief pass out in Solar's arms .
That's what happened 3 hour ago before they return to the village patching up the wounded villagers .
And Fang who is patrolling around the village witness the villagers pointing their spears to Solar.
" ARE YOU GOING TO DESTROY OUR LAND JUST LIKE HOW YOU DID HUNDREDS YEARS AGO ?!"
" EVEN YOU CHANGE YOUR LOOK , WE STILL RECOGNISE THAT POWER THAT YOU ONCE WIPE OUT OUR HOMELAND ! "
" DON'T EVEN TRY TO GET NEAR OUR CHIEF !!!"
" Please , I just want to talk with-"
" TALK ABOUT WHAT ? "
" ABOUT HOW YOU KILL OUR ANCESTORS ?"
"......."
"I'm so sorry ."
Whatever happening there, Fang can tell Solar felt very guilty . It grew bigger as the villagers keep shout at them .
It was first time Fang saw Solar didn't yell or snap back to those harsh words , as if what they said are true, Solar have no rights to say anything .
" Listen, I just want to inform your chief something really important to them-"
" AS IF WE WILL BELIVE YOU !!!!"
One of the villager throw the spear to Solar , Solar didn't dodge as the spear torn away part of their clothes .
" Please I mean no harm and there's something that your chief need to-"
" LEAVE !! "
More spears are throw to Solar , they still didn't dodge , letting the spears thrown at them .
" Alright , that's enough ."
Shadows hands emerge between villagers and Solar , and garb all the flying spears before it hit Solar.
Both villagers and Solar are surprise to saw Fang appear between the groups .
" Sorry for interrupt your conversation but I couldn't stand watching my teammate got attack ."
" Stand down. Kid-"
" Blah blah blah- I'm trying help here !"
" So you're the monster's-"
" Take that back and quit being so stubborn ! All of you are adults and yet you guys attack my teammate without a reason ?"
" HE start it-"
" Alright ? Tell me ! "
" Tell Me the full detail how they start it ! "
" Tell me the reason you guys acting so aggressive towards them ! "
" Tell me what kind of motive they have that made you guys need to wield your weapons !"
" Anyone ?"
"........."
No one dare to answer .
Fang keep raise his voice to those villagers leaving Solar are speechless behind him.
" Kid , I'm fine so stand -"
" Oh hell no !"
Fang snaps at Solar.
" I been standing beside and watch this chaos happened !"
" You have something need to be done ? Do it ! "
" Why are you being so chicken coward now ?"
" Excuse-"
" Yeah excuse me ! You're the one who teach me take the most effective way to get the job done !"
" If you have something that important need to tell the chief by yourself , why get stalled by all this nonsense ! "
" And you guys ."
Fang turn back to the villagers .
" Tell me now , did your chief send you guys here ?"
" ......No ."
One of the villager said that as they step backward .
" Then WHY are you guys here ?"
" WE want revenge-"
" On what ?"
" ON WHAT HAVE HE DONE."
" Base on ?"
" The story that the elders pass down -"
" THIS PERSON LITERALLY SAVE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY , AND NOW YOU GUYS DARE TO ATTACK THEM BASE ON A STORY ?!?!? ARE YOU GUYS SERIOUS ?!?! "
Fang is pissed when he hear this reason .
"  LISTEN HERE I'M NOT NICE LIKE BOBOIBOY , SO LET ME BE STRAIGHT ! STAY AWAY AND DON'T YOU GUYS HARASS MY TEAMMATE AGAIN.  DID I MADE IT CLEAR ???"
" Yes , Sir ."
The villagers starts to clam down and get more meek as Fang keep yelling them .
" Now tell me where are your chief !"
All of them point to the same direction to a house far away from them  .
" Now lets go Solar ."
" YOU-"
" If you want to say something , safe it later . We will talk on the way ."
Fang walks away as Solar follow him .
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
" You have no right to butt in this conversation ! "
"........"
Fang and Solar are on the way to the house and Solar is mad at what Fang done earlier .
" This is something between me and the villagers ! You being a outsider have no right to-"
" Actually I do have the rights ! "
Fang stops his track to face Solar as he lay out his fingers .
" First of all , I'm your captain-"
" NO you're-"
" AND second ! YOU are in my team and Oboi's friend ! "
" AND Third ! Whatever you like it or not . I'M NOT LETTING YOU GET HARASS BECUASE OF SOME NONSENSE !  "
" I don't have a hobby to watch someone having hard time , I like the way you being out smart and annoy them instead of what happened just now ! "
Fang shove his three fingers Infront Solar's eyes . Which make Solar back off a little .
" .......So you're not gonna ask ?"
" Ask what ?"
" Why are they calling me monster-"
" I don't care ."
" Ha ?"
" I don't care what kind of history you have back there , I have no interest to explore it. "
" Every element include you have some past that you guys didn't want to bring up and that's fine. "
" Boboiboy is your holder now and my priority is to take care of my team which includes you. "
" You are free to do whatever you want but that doesn't mean that you can let someone got to your nerves which somehow endangering yourself ."
" Pufffffff- as if I will dead if I take that blow-
" But that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt ."
" Or they have the right to lash out on you. "
" Solar, I admit that I'm not smarter than you or have the power that can swipe away our enemies in a second . "
" But right now you have the rights to be yourself and be with your families ."
" And you deserve it ."
"........"
" ......- you know that all the full heart to heart conversation is not going to work on me , right? "
" Yeah I figured out, but still . Seriously, don't do something that I will worried. "
"......."
" What ?"
" Nothing , lets keep moving . The house is up ahead now."
" Ok , lets go ."
Fang ruff Solar's hair in reflex like how he do the same to Boboiboy and the other elements. But forgotten the fact that Solar didn't let anyone touch them before except their holder and siblings .Which make element stunned for the sudden touch they receive ,Fang realize that and back off apologizing .
" Sorry my bad-"
"......"
" Solar ?"
"......"
" Solar are you- Wait wait wait ! Don't shoot me !"
" You're so dead !"
" I said that I'm sorry ! AHHHHHHHH!!!!"
Solar end up chasing Fang all the way to the chief's house.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
" Fang ! Solar ! Where have you guys been ? We been looking form you guys for hours !"
Yaya ask the element and captain who come back late .
" Sorry for the late , we just have so personal matters to do. "
" Well you better go to find Boboiboy now, your brothers are worry about you ,Solar . "
" Again? Argh- can't they stop worrying about me ? I can handle the situation just fine-"
"Really? Handle the situation 'just fine '? That's was a whole different story earlier. "
" I know you helped so quit rubbing the salt on me. "
" You should really improve your communication skills, that was horrible earlier. "
" Said that again I will not hesitate to blast you ."
"Oh you wouldn't ! "
" I will. "
" You wouldn't !"
"Ehhhhhh.....? "
Yaya watch the duo with a confuse face.
" Eh ? Since when both of them become close ?"
Duri pop out behind Yaya along with Halilintar and Boboiboy . Questioning the scene infront them .
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Earlier when both of them arrived to the house. The chief lock them outside and beg them to leave, it took Solar many horrible attempt to convince him to open the door eventually making it worse. Fang couldn't stand watching any longer and help Solar.
It took a while the chief willing to open the door and let them in . Fang thought he will need step out the conversation but the way that Solar communicate making the conversation go weird that Fang feel uncomfortable .
" So.....your the survivor of that planet ."
" Yes and what can I help you ? ."
" That planet have been destroy almost over 100 years and it was completely drained ."
"......"
" You're going to destroy this planet too , right ?
" No !-"
" I'm the last one who once live on that land , my brothers and sisters who escape along me are all gone . "
" We start a new life on this new planet and isolate ourselves to the outside world . Afraid that the monster that blast our home will come to find us again ."
" We decided to destroy anything that the outside could find us , so no electro device was used. But only left one as the last thing that is made on that planet . "
" What we fear eventually come ."
" I should destroy the all communicator in the past . I shouldn't hope that the we can finally be in peace ."
" I- I'm- "
"......"
"......So-"
" I'm sorry , I have to say something here Sir ."
Fang can't take it any longer .
" First, I'll need to correct you about something-  We're here base on a mission to help you guys not destroying ."
" I think it was impressive for those young childrens who have mange to send a SOS massages even they know nothing how to use them . They even come to greet us even being told that don't trust the outsiders."
" Be proud of them, they take a step that they didn't dare to do in the past just to rescue you and their families . "
" Yes , it's sounds horrible that the land you once cherish is no longer there but-"
" They are here to inform you something that you like to know , not declare a genocide . So as a chief of the village, would you please give them the chance to say anything ?"
"......."
"......Of course , sorry about that young lad ."
" And sorry I being like this Mr. Solar ."
" I have mix my personal emotion on this , sorry ."
" Now , I'm ready to hear what you want to say now . I'm all ears ."
" .......Thanks ."
" So the planet that is destroyed have been restore . It's no longer a death planet , it's safe now ."
" I'm sorry - what ??"
Later Solar have told him the all detail of that planet and told the chief that they can request TAPOPS to take them to the planet .
The chief didn't believe it first but after when Solar show him the photos about that recovered planet. The chief break down to a mess after seeing the planet that he didn't dare to imagine to go back again is still alive .
Solar and Fang left the house as the chief keep shedding happy tears , he promises that he will find a way to introduce this homeland to the childrens and will not forget what they have given back to him .
The duo now are on the way back to the group , it was quiet during the walk before Solar speak up .
" Hey kid ?"
" Call me Fang ."
"......(sigh) Fang ?"
" Yes ?"
" I want to say- Um- ........."
" Hmm?"
" Thank you and sorry ."
" Ha ?"
" Thank you for helping me earlier and sorry that I'm being harsh to you ."
"......."
"......"
" Solar ."
" Yes ? "
" Please don't be so nice for the sudden ,it give me goosebumps !"
" Excuse me ???  What-"
" I'm trying to be nice here !-"
" Well yeah , don't ."
"It feel weird to hear you say thank you and being nice !"
"......."
"......."
"....... Pff-"
" Pff- hahahahaha- ! "
" - Your welcome , didn't expect you ever say something like that to me ."
" Ha- you should felt grateful that I ever say that ."
"......."
"......."
" Solar ?"
" Yes ?"
" After all this - Can I come to the library and ask you about my power ? It's hard to find anything related on that so I need your help  ."
" You mean the books ?-"
" No, I mean how do you think of this power . How did it create ? How can I improve it ? I want your opinion on this ."
" .......You want to hear my theories ?"
" Yes ."
" I think asking you will be the best option ."
" ....... "
" Solar ? "
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Form this moment Fang didn't know in the future , Solar will show a whole stack of papers about his ability and explaining to him one by one by the element themselves .  Surprisingly very patience toward Fang whenever he ask questions .
What Fang didn't know is this element is low key happy because they always wanted someone to hear and willing to hear their come up theories . And Fang is the one who ask them besides their holder and siblings .
So sweet of Fang to stand up for Solar when Boi cant be there
And its so funny to me whenever solar calls fang kid
Solar, your old man is showing
Like a dynamic of cool grandpa and petty grandchild or smth
Boi better come and thank Fang
And to those people, its understandable, but either way it wasnt right
Anyways this so sweet ^v^
Your literally the solfang writer

Chapter 4, Part 3 of Heal Me, Hold Me, Make Me, Know Me
QAF AU, Brian x Justin, Asexual Spectrum Representation, Series Retelling
As always, my biggest cheerleaders deserve a shout-out: @winderlylandchime @maryp50 and @lostcol
Once they’d settled into their new agreement, Justin seemed much happier, and their conversations returned. Brian felt bad that he had let his ego get in the way of being true to his heart. He really did love having Justin around; it made him feel like he wasn’t going to disappear one day. Brian didn’t ever talk about it with his Liberty Avenue family, but ever since he was a kid, he worried that if someone didn’t appreciate him as he was, he would just stop existing someday. Before Justin, he drank and did drugs as often as he did because it helped him forget his constant worry of not actually being alive.
Brian would never say it out loud to Deb or Michael, or hell, even Ted, but he was actually grateful that Justin insisted they set ground rules for their relationship. He’d always been willing to respect what Justin did or didn’t want from him. So having set in stone boundaries would help him to keep his head on straight without messing up the one good thing going for him. Being a partner at Vanguard was nice and all, but it didn’t spark joy, as Emmett liked to say, in his life. Justin did, no matter how deeply he kept that knowledge hidden under the surface.
Speaking of Emmett, Brian looked up from his computer to find Cynthia approaching his office with Emmett trailing behind her. Brian shook his head at how out of place Emmett looked. His close friend was wearing a pretty tame outfit today, compared to what he normally wore, but his lavender button-down open revealing a dark purple tank underneath was far from what anyone Brian worked with would wear. Even Emmett’s pants made it no secret he was homosexual. After all, no hetero schmuck would be caught dead wearing brown pants that flared at the bottom.
“Hello, Honeycutt,” Brian smirked at the younger man, his eyes alight with mischief.
“Thank you for escorting him, Cyn. Please close the door.”
“Why? Everyone already saw him. You know the rumors are already flying. I’d place big money that most of the art department probably thinks you pay him for sex.”
“I resent that!” Emmett placed a hand on his chest in shock. “I would never.”
“Trust me, Cyn. He means he would never have sex with me, not even for money. He already flaunts his stuff for money on Theodore’s website.” Brian waggled his eyebrows, and Cynthia shook her head with a smile before closing the office door behind her.
Brian waited a beat before he turned to Emmett, who had now sprawled himself into one of Brian’s office chairs.
“So, Em, what brings you here during office hours.” Brian pushed his tongue into his cheek.
“Do you always insist on shocking the straights?” Emmett looked toward the closed door where Brian’s coworkers couldn’t hear what was being said, but the Brunette was acting as though they could.
“I consider it my biggest joy in life.”
“I would’ve thought that moniker was reserved for Justin.” Emmett gave Brian a knowing look. “Don’t worry. I’m not still mad at you, though I do think you were an asshole for doing it.”
“Yes, I’m aware.” Brian sighed, “Again, I ask, what brings you here.” He didn’t really have time to mess around playing Emmett’s game of being coy. Remson Pharmaceuticals would be arriving this afternoon expecting the perfect ad copy, which was still being finalized, causing Brian a headache.
“So, I met someone.” Emmett smiled and clapped his hands excitedly.
“How is this different from every other day that ends in Y?” Brian looked Emmett up and down, only to discover there was something different about this new guy in Emmett’s life.
“We met because he saw me online and reached out.” Emmett started, and Brian cut him off with a sigh.
“Em! Don’t be stupid. That’s a recipe for disaster or something far worse.”
“Hush. If you’d let me finish, you would know that the man is none other than George Schickle from Schickle’s Pickles. He’s looking for companionship.” Emmett’s voice turned soft and serious. It was like Brian had never heard from Emmett when talking about guys he had sex with. “Which I am more than happy to provide. He’s so kind and funny. I just adore him.”
“How long have you known him?” Brian was wary, especially considering Emmett’s track record for dropping men he “adored” like flies. Emmett wasn’t one to commit, much like Brian. Maybe they were both growing away from all that.
“We’ve been seeing each other for almost two weeks now. I met him not long after Pride weekend. You’re the first to know.” Emmett gave Brian a look and leaned forward, “If Teddy finds out, he will probably prevent me from seeing him. Protecting his business and all that.”
“Yeah, Theodore has been a bit possessive of you lately. I hope he’s paying you what you’re worth.” Brian muttered.
Then he leaned back with a sigh, “So, why are you telling me first? Why not Justin? Wouldn’t it be more conducive to chat with the other housewife of the group?”
“I resent that remark. But, honestly, Justin would never be able to understand how huge this is. Plus, you’re less likely to judge me for shacking up with a man more than twice my age.” Emmett shrugged and then leaned back in his chair as well.
“Oh, do you want me to jump up and down in my chair with excitement?” Brian half-bounced and pretended to clap his hands. The sarcasm was coming in hot, and surprisingly, Emmett wasn’t put off by it.
“If I wanted that, I most definitely would’ve gone to Justin,” Emmett smirked with an eye roll for good measure.
Brian shrugged, leaned his arm on his lap, and turned back to work on his computer. He was actually looking into a computer device that he’d seen in his art department last week. His brain had already forgotten that Emmett was in his office until he looked up and saw the younger man sitting there examining his cuticles.
“Do you think George would prefer I wear tight shorts instead of pants?” Emmett mumbled, staring at his thighs instead of at Brian.
“Uh…” Brian took a moment to reboot his mind. “I think George is probably happy he can get any at all.” Brian chuckled as Emmett looked up with a glare.
“Can I get your opinion on something?” Brian attempted to turn the conversation to the computer, which he was thinking about presenting to Justin.
“Yes, I do believe your medical ad there needs more men and muscles.” Emmett winked at Brian, motioning to the corkboard propped up to the side of his desk.
Brian dropped his head into his hands and sighed. “No, not about that, but thank you. I was wondering if you thought Justin would get mad if I bought him this computer that he could do art on?”
Brian turned his computer screen around just a bit to give Emmett an opportunity to look at the device he was already set on ordering. Emmett leaned over his desk and gave the image his full attention.
“Will it make him feel like you are trying to change him? That he needs fixing?” Emmett raised his eyebrow.
Brian leaned back. “Fuck. Probably.” With a bite to his lip, he got closer to Emmett once more, “One of our guys in the art department was using one the other day, and I thought it looked like a nice alternative, considering Justin still has hand seizures.”
“My experience with Justin is that he will be open to a discussion if you present it as an idea, not as a solution. Just talk to him before you make the decision about buying it.” Emmett kissed Brian on his cheek before he skipped out of the office.
That night, Brian decided to forgo Woody’s or Babylon in favor of leaving the office at 6:30 pm and going back to the loft instead. He called ahead and let Justin know he would be coming home soon. Part of Brian did this because it made him feel warm inside, knowing that someone cared whether or not he came home at night, let alone took care of himself. Another part did it because he wanted to be sure Justin wouldn’t be terrified of him the moment he returned, considering the young man was still startled at unexpected people in his space.
When he arrived home with his briefcase in hand, Brian smelled food cooking even before opening his door. Once he had entered the space, the sound of Justin fumbling around in the kitchen made him smile to himself. He put his briefcase down on his desk and entered the kitchen to find Justin surrounded by pots and pans and the makings of a salad. Brian smiled and leaned over to plant a kiss on Justin’s temple.
“What’s this?” He reached into the pot for a taste, and Justin slapped his hand away.
“I’m making some garlic parmesan orzo with chicken. But it’s not quite done yet.” Justin replied with an answering grin and a kiss to the side of Brian’s mouth.
The blonde was about to stir the orzo when he suddenly dropped the spoon and grabbed at his right hand. Brian watched as the young man massaged his right palm as it spasmed. He even attempted to shake it out in an attempt to allow his fingers to uncurl. Brian silently reached over and massaged Justin’s hand while the young man whimpered from what was probably a painful incident.
After a few minutes, his hand relaxed, and Justin was able to focus on his cooking once more. The orzo was somewhat sticking to the pan, but Brian didn’t care. What mattered was that Justin’s hand was alright.
“That was a really bad one.” Brian rubbed his chin in thought, “How bad have they been lately.”
Justin just shrugged, but he wouldn’t look at Brian, which told him all he needed to know about the matter. Alarm bells were going off in Brian’s head. He needed Justin to be honest with him, but he didn’t exactly know how to push him without pushing him away entirely. He loved the man before him and yet he couldn’t bring himself to pressure Justin to reveal just how bad his hand spasms were. What’s even worse, Justin was clearly hiding them from everyone because Jennifer and Emmett would’ve told him if they’d known.
“Justin,” Brian placed his hands on Justin’s shoulders in an attempt to get the blonde to look him in the eye, “When did these spasms become painful? We should tell your neurologist.”
“It’s nothing, Brian. I can handle it.” Justin tried to dismiss his concern, but Brian wasn’t having it.
“That’s not nothing. You were whimpering as I massaged your hand. It's hurting you!” Brian tried not to yell, but his tone did go up an octave in concern.
“So I have a bit of pain now. I can’t afford to have another surgery or procedure done. My mom definitely can’t afford it.” Justin bit his lip.
“Why not let me worry about that part? What’s the real reason you don’t want to go to the doctor?” Brian knew Justin was just using finances as a ruse to get out of a deeper conversation.
“Brian. Just drop it.” Justin turned off the burners. “It’s fine. I’ve just been stretching my abilities to the max in an attempt to finish even one painting.”
“I’ll call your neurologist tomorrow. Until we talk to him, no more painting or drawing.” Brian gave Justin a stern look, and the blonde nodded in agreement.
After a beat, Brian added, “I would rather you do art in a different way, a new way, than risk losing the ability completely because you pushed yourself to do it the old way.” Brian leaned forward with one hand cupping Justin’s cheek and placed a kiss on his lips.
“Drawing and painting help me feel less anxious.” Justin tried to argue, but he gave in to Brian’s kiss and let the emotions carry him. Justin wrapped his arms around Brian’s neck and dived in deeper.
After a bit, Brian pulled away to add more to their conversation. “I know, but they aren’t the only way you can produce art.”
“If I’m not painting or drawing, then what else do I have?”
“I might have an idea for you.” Brian pulled Justin into a hug against his chest. He wished with all his might he could take away any of these residual issues Justin was dealing with daily.
“The other day, one of the guys from our art department showed me an ad he was working on in real-time. Only instead of drawing it by hand he was doing it on a computer. He said the smaller pen gave his hand more control and didn’t make his muscles hurt as much as painting does.” Brain pulled back to look Justin in the eye in an attempt to gauge his reaction. “It’s just an idea.”
Justin pulled out of Brian’s arms completely. His face turned sour.
“So, you want everyone to see that poor little Justin can’t do art like a normal person anymore.” Justin’s temper was flaring, but Brian had anticipated he might react this way.
“That’s not what I’m saying at all. I’m saying that sometimes you have to adjust expectations. Art on the computer is still art.” Brian joined his hands together to crack his knuckles while he watched Justin move about the loft, sorting through his emotions on the matter.
“Let me guess. You went ahead and already bought the computer. This is just your attempt to make me like the idea before you give it to me.” Justin turned to Brian with a scoff on his lips and a scornful look in his eyes.
“No, I am telling you about this alternative so that you know it's an option. If you are willing to try it, then I will buy it.” Brian didn’t give in to the frustration or anger Justin was gunning to pull out of him.
“Right, because you think if you buy things for me, I’ll just forget that I have a fucking gimp hand?! Or that my attackers might get off at the trial tomorrow?” Justin’s deep-seated anger at the whole hand situation started to make sense.
Brian was floored. Did Justin really believe that his attackers might get the charges dismissed? Was the young man really that terrified of a negative outcome that he was willing to allow his injury recovery to possibly backtrack?
Brian stepped back into Justin’s personal space and wrapped the young man in his arms once more. “Do you really believe that the judge will think they didn’t do this?”
“Be real, Brian. We are faggots. The judge will most likely think we deserve any violence against us because we’ve flaunted ourselves in front of unassuming heteros!” Justin pushed Brian away, which hurt Brian more than he cared to admit.
“You don’t know that. The evidence is damning. You were just standing outside a club and got attacked for no other reason than you were outside a gay club.” Brian didn’t even believe the words he was saying, but he wanted desperately for Justin to believe them.
“Right.” Justin scoffed, “I believe that almost as much as you do. Which isn’t a whole lot.”
“Let’s not think about it.” Brian tried to steer the conversation away from anything resembling the trial tomorrow. “The food is getting cold. Let’s eat.”
Justin reluctantly nodded his head and went back to the kitchen to plate up their food. Brian put out silverware on the table and silently watched the warring emotions still dancing across Justin’s features. He wanted to do nothing more than give Justin the absolution he deserved. The younger man had every reason to be afraid, but Brian just wanted him to feel safe no matter where he was or who he was with.
Yeah. I know that’s a fool's dream. I can’t even say that for myself.
When Justin finally brought their plates over to the table, Brian met him with a smile and a kiss to the side of his mouth.
“This smells amazing.”
“I hope it’s okay. The orzo burned a little bit.” Justin bit his lip and sat down across from Brian.
“It’s fine. It’ll give the dish character.” Brian cracked a mischievous smile.
Justin shook his head and grinned down at his plate. The two started to eat in companionable silence.
“Did you know Emmett is seeing someone?” Brian finally broke their silence.
“How is that news?” Justin looked up, confused.
“No, I mean he’s really seeing someone. Like they’ve gone on dates.” Brian shuddered at the word, which made Justin laugh.
“I know you act like dating is the worst thing in the world, but you seem to forget eating dinner with the person you are seeing is considered a date. Even if it’s at your place of residence.” Justin lifted his eyebrows and motioned to the setup between them.
“Well, considering one of the few times I went on a date, I ended up blowing the waiter. I might be favorable to call this that as well.” Brian waggled his eyebrows.
Justin went silent and began to hunch his shoulders forward and pull his body in on itself. Brian realized the young man felt uncomfortable, so he immediately back tracked his statement.
“I was just kidding.” Brian tried his best to amend his words, but he wasn’t well versed in apologies, so naturally, it didn’t go over well with Justin.
“No you weren’t.” Justin mumbled, “But I understand. You can’t help yourself sometimes. You still aren’t used to people who don’t treat sex as second-nature.”
Brian opened his mouth to object, but Justin looked up and continued, “Let’s just eat.”

Lucemond × Hogwarts AU
( in which luke is hospitalized for the damage aemond's caused, aemonds gone into an unexpected spiral, and haelena calls him on his bullshit )
Not even death could grant Lucerys the peace of absolute silence.
There he laid in the hospital wing, unconscious and sore, unable to open a single eye or be too aware of pretty much anything. It all had been in an out. Murmurs, dazy pictures and blurred vision in the brief moments he could gather the strength to open up his eyes. None of it mattered and none of it made sense anyway.
The only thing that notified him that he was infact alive had been the voices. His brother's, his mums, other indistinct ones that merged into Charlie-Brown background chatter. It had started to get more frequent and clear with time. Merlin only knows how long he's been out for.
"You think he'll be okay?" His mother, Rhaenyra's, sweet voice asked a disembodied person on the other side of his hosptial bed.
Deep, humored, masculine. "Maybe just a nasty headache for a few days," Daemon, possibly. "If he was in any real serious danger Id make sure Aemond's stupid little head was hanging above my fire place right now."
Yes. Definitely Daemon.
"The boy should be expelled." Rhaenyra says in an upset, low voice. Over protective as always and playing with the image of Aemond's head on a pike even now.
"Lucerys apparently provoked him," Daemon says with all but an eye roll. It isnt that hard to believe, the boy is mouthy, but he is also lively aware how quickly that damned group of people twist things. " Hightower convinced detention until the end of term. Its obvious however that a number of people don't want Aemond's name withdrawaled from the tournament before they even get the chance to see whom is entered."
The two brief meeting they had on this topic hadnt gone well. Lannister, Cole, Hightower and even Baratheon such all voting in favor. Rhaenys had settled no expulsion until the boy woke up. It probably helped also that Aemond himself made no argument towards any of this. He had also been the one to carry Lucerys to the infirmary seconds later, wasting no time, but such a small useless detail meant nothing.
Especially to Rhaenyra. Who saw his subtle regret when no one else was looking, but also knew damn well that reckless male was the reason her precious boy was harmed at all.
Lucerys feels something warm squeeze his hand and he groans in response. Trying to squeeze it back but he doesn't have the energy. He wants to comfort his mother, tell her that he's okay and wrap her in a silly big hug so her voice stops sounding so broken. So concerned.
More murmurs and a kiss on the forehead before he truly dozes off again.
His next memory feels like eons later but in actuality, all it had been was a day. He lays unconcious, trying to get feeling in his finger tips, wiggling them at his sides.
It had been under Jace's watch during the night. His older brother hadnt left his side since he heard about the incident and frankly Jacerys blamed himself for it.
Had it been all that damaging? No. A few first-degree burn marks on his arms that were currently being healed away with potion and herbs. The fiendfyre hadnt gotten close enough to wound by the time Rhaenys said the cancellation spell.
A pair of singed off bodyhair had been the remaining crux of it. His eyebrows had grew back in within a few hours thanks to the Maester's knowledge of hair replacement charms.
"He's quite pretty," Haelena said so quietly to the point where if Lucerys had been fully conscious, he would've jumped out of his skin. Not even aware of her presence. "Like sleeping beauty."
She hums a tune and Jace smiles for the first time in several hours. "His hair is a bit longer with all these healing and hexes happening. He'll be livid." A gentle muse that has Lucerys gently sighing.
Wondering how fucked up he look, a piece of bacon with a glam-rock wig perhaps? He could only imagine the worst whilst he couldn't view the damage personally yet.
"I wanna play with it, its so curly," He feels finger tips gently stroke at the locks by his base of his neck. "But I dont wanna braid it until he allows me. Some people get grumpy with that." She thinks of Aemond. How he use to let her braid his hair but doesnt let anyone go near it anymore. A prank with Aegon got wrong, another story for another time. "Maybe some flowers though?"
Jace's smile remains. "Perhaps," Humored at the thought.  "We can put them in before mom arrives in the morning. It think she'll like it too. Get those yellow ones he likes—"
Foot steps enter then a humored voice. "There you two are!," It sounds petty, somewhat accusatory, like the male doesnt like Haelena and Jace had been where he thought they were. Like he caught them doing something wrong instead of tending to a unconious family member. "Searching half the castle for my sweet little sister. Funny to find you here-"
"Aegon," Jace's voice no longer hints at kindness. "Not now. Go away," He'd been avoiding him since this happened yesterday. Nothing good can come from such a secret affair. Exhibit A was lying in the bed to prove as such.
The foot steps stop. "Oh, how you wound me," A hand over the heart with a dramatic sigh. "I just wanna talk,"
"Im busy-"
"Just five minutes," He prompts and its quickly declined with a shake of the head from Jace. Haelena helps however persuading sides once she stares at her brother long enough to relaize motive.
"I can watch him," Her voice sweet and quiet. Like shes afraid to speak. "You havent even had a bathroom break or food in a while. A few mintues wont harm? Stretch out your legs."
Jacerys wants to comment that he has stretched out his legs with the eariler constant pacing enough, thank you and goodbye. But the way Aegon is looking at him, fists clasped at his sides, and sleepless. Along with the idea of food does hesitate the string of swear words all alluding to 'Fuck Off' and 'Begone, Slut' when Haelena looks at him like that. His dear precious aunt, who he respects and trusts so much more than the rest of the Hightower Clan.
A single glance back at Luke before he gives in. "Two mintued and two mintues only," Voice firm as he stands. Dismissed away with Aegon down the hall who looks both relieved and amused.
The hospital wing becomes silent once more as the doors close behind the pair. Haelena waits until the footsteps are out of sound and the boys are out of sight completely until she stands. Brushing a few strands of hair away from Luke's face.
"You are quite pretty," he looked like Rhayenra to her in a way that Jace hadnt. The way he spoke maybe, youthful sass and determination. Whilst Jacerys always carried her leader ship qualities, Luke held more of her fire. Less bravery and more so reckless ness.
Not to mention his flushed, cute little cheeks that she pinched mindlessly. Watching a tinge of pink spread across his face and nose when she hears a creak. Something others would dismiss, its such an old castle anyway, but it was all she needed for confirmation.
"I know you're there, brother." Although thought genuinely, mostly by Aegon, to be a complete dumbass the girl was rather wise. In a way her family didnt really expect. She was a ravenclaw after all, why did her relatives question it so much? All besides this one. "No ones here. You'll have a few minutes-"
Aemond stepped out of the shadows as if he'd been there for a while. Face tight but half startled he was revealed so easily. His and Aegon's timing to dismiss Jace had been rather clear, and Haelena caught on rather quickly. He wondered how many seconds into his younger sister walking into the room eariler, had she realized he was watching?
"For someone who wants him dead you do spend an awful amount of time checking up on him?" She quips looking up to meet her brothers gaze finally.
He finally speaks. "I dont-" He sighs through the nose. Voice quieter. Not wanting to admit his error.
She reads no signs of such and gladly calls him out on it. "You lost control of your wand,"
Aemond's lips press into a thin line but he doesnt object at all. The best fiendfyre caster at Durmstrang, and he lost control? How demeaning.
She continues. "Why'd you go after him in the first place-"
"His mouth-" That girl was touching his hair, too. But he doesn't say that. It had added to the fire of singing him again. How perfect and untouched his life had been.
"You taunted him with a dark curse?! Infront of everyone!"
Thats not true. None of the adults were there. None of the ones that mattered, at least. Just useless students clogging up tables and continuing on with their lives as he sat there. Time had changed, everyone had, but he hadnt.
"I just wanted to see how good at dueling he's got." He hasnt moved from his first step. Eyeing the open space at the foot-end of Luke's bed. Guilt racked at his insides and he despised every moment of it. Something Aegon and him use to joke at celebrating, hurting one of those boys, that house, but when he was handed a wine glass after all he tasted was bitter fruit and the means to upchuck it all. "... He's still horrible."
Had Lucerys had known water was useless, enchanted and not, against Fiendfyre? No. His knowledge remained some what dismal to dark magic. Common sense was irrlevenent there. Only one spell can undo it and it had been a spell he hadnt none.
"He hasnt had to face hardships at this school. In his life to the same degree even, as we have!" Haelena raises her voice just so at the thought and it quickly lowers back down.
The thought of it twists Aemond's insides differently. That lucky bastard had no hardships. No calpsuses on his finger tips or scars on his perfect flesh, wounds in his soul.
"And you know that … you wanted him to fail." And fail publicly at that. Embarrassment had been the goal. Harassing fear into the small thing, striking some feverant emotion as Lucerys had done so blindly into him. "You wanted to hurt him and make a show out of it."
He didnt need to be told what he wanted. He knew what he wanted, and it didnt need to be mixed up by anyone else. Aemonds thoughts and actions were his and his alone to act upon. Misconstrued opinions be damned.
Even if she was someone correct.
"I didnt want to kill him," He repeats like prayer. The mantra he's been saying over and over again to any countless person who asked.
"You tried to burn him alive?" Haelena retorts standing and moving away from the bed. Her voice curious now, gentle. "Why?"
A flesh wound marred enough to be permanent. 'You made your mark on me, I wanted to return the favor.' A physical reminder of Aemond to match. His initial goal amongst returning was of course the eye. It had always been the goal.
Upon meeting his gaze at the Triward Tournament entry ceremony, however, his goal changed. He couldnt bring himself to take out either eye once seeing them. Aemond hadnt known why and decided not to think too deep into it.
"I wanted to burn him as he burns me." He says finally. "Nothing fatal."
"But he didnt-" Haelena becomes silent. Sighing through her nose once more. Not understanding, yet seeing more than anyone else had. Lucerys hadnt burned Aemond, not physically.
Looking back at Luke in the bed she stares. "Just try to make peace with them. Both of them, Lucerys especially. The little one, too but I doubt he'll cause any drama." She says hearing footsteps come back. Distant bickering between Aegon and Jace about probably something dumb and dull. Lovers quarrels, yes. She knew of that too.
"You dont have to love him. You dont even have to like him," She laughs. "Just stop trying to kill and or maim him."
No longer pulling for thread with Aemond, a beat passes between them. The eighteen year old neither agreeing nor disagreeing until finally somethings made of as they both stare at him.
Aemond takes a step forward. "He's been trying to move his fingers," He says finally. Seeing those small twitches become ignored over and over again. "Stimulate his blood cells and nerve endings in his wrists and he should be fine." He's seen enough dueling injuries to know better.
"He'll be awake in no time." It was the last time Aemond dared to visit Lucerys.
The last time Luke remembers waking up doesnt feel that much later. The nurse gives him something that tastes rancid and slides down his throat like slime.
The taste alone has him up at retching.
"Oh, Heavens!" She scurries back over with a summoned bucket before he can spill his sick on anything important. Sheets and floor remaing clean. "If he keeps throwing this up he won't get any better," She scolds as he's propped up with pillows.
The long haired Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher stands at the foot of the bed. Head tilted, hardly any expression shown. A slight smirk on the edge of his lips though, somewhat satisfied. Like he knew that would wake the youngling up.
"I gather no one likes the taste, Maester. Its more rotten than a hangover," Nose scrunched in slight disgust at the stench of Luke regurgitating his insides but waves it off. "Your mother will be glad you're awake."
Luke blinks enough to let things come into focus. Everything was a bit off.
"You dont have your contacts in." Daemon says then adds. "Your vision might be blurred for a bit because you smacked your head off the ground-"
Luke goes to say something but wheezes a bit.
"Your breathing, too." Daemon continues. "Got alot of smoke in your lungs so try dont not to do any strenuous activity that requires too much breathing." He hadnt been an athletic boy, on the Quittich team like his brother, so he should be fine. "The burns are mostly all healed up too." Such explains the soreness in his arms and the gauze bandages wrapped up the right one.
One of the healers hand Luke a pair of glasses, gross old things he didnt like to use if he could help it, and managed them onto his face. The world a bit more clear but still dizzy.
He wanted nothing more than to be out of this damned bed. The room that smells sterile and infected at the same time. He's handed a handful of chewing pills, to get rid of the nausea and metallic taste in his mouth. Chasing those down with a cup of water a short time later when Rhaenyra busts through the door like theyre made of paper.
"LUCE!" She runs to his aid and he winces. That fucken nickname. Only she had been allowed to do it, even Jace or Joffery didnt dare to. "Oh, you're awake just as Daemon said, even more so." She grabs his face gently to inspect.
His brown eyes enlarged from the spectacles, a bit glazed over from vomiting. Hair even more unruly than unsual from the pillows and his skin pale with nausea.
"Hi mum," He smiles as she resists the urge to tackle him in a huge. Making the mental decision that she never wants to worry this much again. She'll make them pay for the pain they've caused. But right now she wouldnt focus on that. She'd focus on her baby, awake and alive as ever.
"Hi, my little dragon—"
Theres a snap then a swish. Someone teleported into the hospital wing.
A servant of the hightowers walking over. A petite female house elf. Seeing Lucerys is alive before staring timidly. "Madame Alicent requests your presence." She says.
Anger bubbles in Rhaenyra's chest. "He just woke up." She seethes.
Luke feels himself becoming sick again.
"His presence is requested by the Hightowers." The servant requests again. More clear this time. More afraid of her masters than then the trio before her, but not entirely.
Daemon takes a step foreward. The house-elf cowers so he doesnt approach farther. "Does your master know we're both with him?"
She shakes her head. "Master said only the boy when requesting. When Boy wakes up, master says." Looking to Luke with her large eyes as if to make sure he was infact awake.
"Well," Daemon smirks and looks to Rhaenyra. Steadying her with a single glance of eye contact. "Lets not keep them waiting."

Did you ever watch Teen Wolf the tv show? Cause the movie gave me an idea for a Bridgerton AU. Modern Witch Penelope x Hunter Colin.
I know of it, but I never watched it. It came out when I was in middle school and the St*rek girlies put me off it when two of them I knew in real life almost got into a fist fight. I don't remember the exact reason other than it had to do with the show, and I remember thinking it was something dumb.
But I like this idea let's see what we can come up with.
So Penelope didn't mean to kidnap the hunter. He just startled her and the next thing she knew a blast of accidental magic hit him square in the face. Said accidental magic then proceeded to knock him out and what was she supposed to do leave him in the mud?
"Yes!" Felicity exclaimed, waving around her shotgun. "Pen you're smart, why would you bring a hunter into our own house?!"
Penelope waved off her sister's flailing arms. "Oh just put Sunshine away Litty. I knocked him out. It's only right that I am the one to make sure he's okay."
"Besides," Penelope said as she turned back to the shield keeping the hunter in. "It's not like I didn't take precautions. And aren't you curious? It's hard to believe a hunter would look so. . .normal."
Felicity scrunched up her nose. "He looks weirder than us, the witches. Someone should teach him to dress normally."
The hunter was actually rather handsome but Penelope didn't want to send Felicity off on another rant. He was still asleep but Penelope healed over any wounds she may have caused, and wounds he had that she didn't cause. He was rather tall, if Penelope had to guess she would say he was six feet, a whole foot taller than herself. She would also guess he was around 28. Chestnut brown hair parted to the side and had a slight wave to it. If she remembered correctly from the brief glimpse she got his eyes were green, one of her favorite colors. He wore the black hunting leather jacket that all hunters seemed to own, black tactical pants, and leather boots. Penelope did have to magically dull his blade though, didn't want him accidentally hurting himself in there.
"You are so lucky Mama left this morning" Felicity said. "She would have had a stroke had she seen the hunter."
"Which is why we're not going to tell her," Penelope said. "Right Felicity?"
Felicity raised his hands. "As long as your bad choices don't kill us first."
A groan gained both sisters' attention, and would you look at that. Penelope was right his eyes are green.
-
Colin. . .surprisingly didn't have a headache when he regain concisouness. Which was weird because he was pretty sure a witch sneak attacked him on the way back from his latest hunt. Keeping his eyes closed Colin focused on his body, trying to see if any new wounds were screaming at him. Nothing felt worse for wear, as a matter of fact his body felt better than when he passed out. Even the wounds he had gotten from his earlier battle with that gorgon were healed. How a gorgon ended up this far from Greece he will never know.
Did Daphne find him? They went hunting together as they normally do when they were forced to split up during the fight. Hopefully she was able to take care of that witch- shit.
Colin felt it. The air around him was humming with magical energy. Daphne didn't find him, the witch took him.
Damn it, Anthony was going to kill him. This was supposed to be a quick mission then they would get ready to meet their new neighbors tomorrow. His mother was so excited too, new neighbors rarely moved in. In fact Colin thinks this family is the first one to move in his whole life time.
Well, hopefully Colin can make a quick escape. First he has to see what he's dealing with.
Opening his eyes two red, curly haired witches appeared in his vision. Both of them were dressed in modern clothing. The younger in a dress, boots, and a cardigan. The older in leggings, tank top, and denim jacket.
The younger, and taller of the two appeared to be Hyacinth's age, 16. She held a shotgun in her hands. The stock and foreshock of the gun was a cherry wood color with golden butterflies decorating the stock.
The older one appeared to be Eloise's age, 23. She was a whole foot shorter than him with a lush figure. Her voice reminding Colin of the sirens and their songs. A golden butterfly hair clip half pulled back her hair.
The younger one noticed him first. She let out a yelp and aimed her shotgun. The muzzle where bullets should come out instead started glowing.
Colin reached for his sword.
"Will you put Sunshine away!" The older one ordered, pressing the shotgun so it was aimed at the floor.
"But-" the younger one stuttered.
"I will handle this," the older one promised.
The younger one threw Colin one last suspicious glare before leaving the room.
"I'm sorry about her," the older one apologized. "She's a little nervous, and when she gets nervous she becomes quicker to pull the trigger."
"Why did you take me?" Colin demanded. "What do you want?"
The witch blinked. "To heal you? I admit I did leave a nasty mark on your face from our bumping into each other earlier. I am sorry for that by the way. It's gone now. You just appeared out of no where and it startled me."
Colin narrowed his eyes. She took him just to heal him? No it's never that simple, she has to have some ulterior motive-
"Mr. Bridgerton, I promise I have no ulterior motive," the witch said.
Colin tensed. This isn't good. "You're a mind witch," he stated.
The mind witch shrugged. "I'm Penelope."
I'm ending this here this got too long again. But good start no?

Re: Merlin and the 1000+ yrs later AU
When I read this kind of fic, the general idea is that Merlin has spent a 1000 years as a complete loner pining for Arthur(platonically or romantically) and as a result is a complete cynic and completely broken and when Arthur (+gang depending on fic) returns, they find him as a shell of who he was and heal him and everyone returns to the same dynamic they occupied before-- the great respected prince and his devoted, loyal but slightly (perceived) idiotic servant.
Which is... fine. I like those fics too, I'm a big fan of whump in general.
But... I think we're missing out on Merlin achieving his sheer potential as the token wise chaotic old man like Gandalf or Dumbledore or even the different versions of Merlin himself.
The man has lived for over a millenium. A whole fucking millenium.
Sure maybe he chose to spend it by the lakeside waiting for Arthur, never straying, ever a devoted servant/friend/lover but that's soooo boooooring. Sure, he can be a complete virgin, not getting into relationships at all because he's waiting for his soulmate but it's sooo frankly unbelievable. Merlin is the kind of character that thrives on loving ppl--his mom, Gwen, Morgana, Arthur, all the round table knights. Every person in Camelot falls in love with him at one point or another, he makes friends like honey attracting flies.
It's so much more interesting to make him heal after all that trauma and grief. He can even experience the Big Sad for a century if you like but after that... let him stray.
Let him find a friend.
Let him learn to live.
Let him fall in love again
and again
and again
with people he meets,
the sunrises and sunsets,
the way the wind whistles through the trees,
the new innovations, the leaps and bounds of science, the food, the clothes, the culture.
Let him leave Avalon, let him leave Albion, let him explore the world. He's named after a literal bird, you can't shackle a bird to one place, it's cruel.
Let the most powerful warlock ever meet others. See the way magic is used in different lands. The snake charmers of India for eg. We all know he has the most raw power but let's be honest, his education in Camelot is from ONE (1) spell-book and a man who wouldn't even perform magic unless in literal live or die situations. He can learn so much MORE. From druids, from the Catha, from wandering traders who use it to dye cloth, polish and cut gems, keep their produce fresh. From warriors who use it to fight and physiciams who use it to heal.
Merlin has lived for a millenium. Whether he wanted to or not.
He has seen shit. He needs a different outlook on life than "I hate everything and I wanna die" which is typical of us high schoolers. Give my baby the character growth he deserves.
When Arthur and gang trip out of the lake, I want them to meet Merlin who arrives a week late because he was helping dryads caught in the Californian forest fires. Merlin who speaks approximately 60 different languages and is involved in NGOs all over the world. He is overjoyed to see them of course and his contacts help him fake birth certificates etc for his friends.
He goes to protests and drags them to his immortal friends get-together which happens every half a century or so (dragons are canon, fight me if you think vampires or fallen angels can't exist) all the while working as .....well they can't exactly figure out what he works as. He says he is going to work every morning and he tells them funny anecdotes about his co-workers all the time but they can never place it-
"Jeremy has a headache from all the uncooperative patients"
"Amita is trying introduce an improved filing system, I love it but the oldies at the office think she's crazy-""Merlin, you're older than all of them put together" "Yes, and in my old age I know the importance of change unlike those toddlers. Amita is a genius, they should make her HOD, we'd all benefit really"
Gwen and Lancelot keep worrying about Merlin because goddamn this man has been alive for so long until Merlin casually mentions, "Oh yeah, I have a therapist. Petyr is great, I love him so much for keeping my sanity intact."
A Merlin who is the cheerful bubbly man Arthur remembers from their first few months and simultaneously knows so much, has experienced so much-- multiple wars and the destruction they cause, so many sweethearts who lived and died, the girl battling cancer who was his patient and such beautiful brave people changing the world for better.
A Merlin who is kind and caring and a chaotic little shit with zero fucks- "Merlin, hurry up we need to find <insert important world saving thing> or <insert certain doom> will happen!" "Chill guys, the future will unfold as the future does. Focus on the important things-like this cute caterpillar" *screams of frustration from all the knights* "Oh and by the way I had a guy take care of <world saving thing>. Do you wanna help me makea home for this caterpillar? *more frustrated screaming*
Anyway that's all I have. I just want to see Merlin unlock his true Overpowered Wise Old Guy Who Knows Everyone And Everything potential, is that so bad?

The corridors were quiet except for the whispers through the closed doors and the occasional sound of mental clinking and doors opening and closing.
You could feel your heartbeat in your chest, your breath suffocating. Your thumb nail was scratching the thumb of the other hand. Eyes unfocused as the faint sounds in your head took over your mind, blinding you to your surroundings.
"Faster!"
"Stretcher! It's an emergency, please be fast."
"It's gonna be okay!"
"Please get away!"
"Ring for Dr. Park!"
"Please, hold on for us. Think about the babies… please."
"Arrange a bag of blood!"
"I- take care of yourself and the babies for me."
"Don't say that. Hold on for us."
"I promised that I will love you till my last breath… Here I am, fulfilling it. I will always love you. Forever, my angel…"
"What is 3+1?" Your thoughts were cut short by your son's voice.
"Huh?" You cleared your throat.
"What is 3+1?" Geon-Wu repeated.
"It's four," you answered.
"I told you, Wu. You don't listen to me at all!" Your daughter, Mi-Cha, huffed.
These two little twin bundles of happiness are the only two threads holding you alive. It's been five years with them. The most enduring and rosy years of your entire life. But life can turn roads like we change clothes.
The rosy years halted a year ago.
"Whatever," Geon-Wu pouted and fiddled with his fingers in his lap.
"Mommy! He never listens to me!" Mi-Cha whined. "I told him that 3+1= four but he won't listen."
Before you could say something, you heard someone grumble under their breath. Looking around the almost empty corridor, a man sitting on the bench was looking with frowned eyebrows at your children. He looked around your age but his sour expression was enough to tell you that he was getting annoyed. He looked intimidating.
You cleared your throat and turned towards your left where your kids were sitting, "okay, enough. Be quiet. Remember, what I explained at home?"
They cutely nodded. "Yes, momma."
"Mhm, good. Now sit properly and calmly. We will talk at home," you patted their tiny heads.
The man silently sighed. He leaned back and folded his arms over his chest and closed his eyes. He had feline features and milky glass skin. He had no flaws except the dark circles, he could turn that into a trend.
It was obvious that he was there for a therapy session. Coming to a hospital for therapy was a bit of an odd setup. The clinic you usually went to was being renovated. So the two friends that owned it moved temporarily into the hospital that was owned by one of their fathers.
You hated this, coming to therapy. But it helped in an unspoken way. Talking about everything that happened a year ago and its consequences gave you headaches, and anxiety but it also helped you go to bed feeling less tangled. This untangled one knot of your mess every week.
This week, your kids were meant to be there too. They have been asking many more questions, and it was only good to take wise advice so you talked to your therapist and here you were with your kids.
"Ms. Kwog. Whenever you are ready," the middle-aged lady spoke up from her desk.
You got up and slightly bowed to her and ushered your twins with you. "Mommy?"
"Yes?"
"That cat man was scary," Mi-Cha thought she whispered.
"Yes, he was scarily looking at us. Was he a ghost? He was so white," Geon-Wu didn't even try to whisper.
"Just move you all. You guys embarrass me every time," you whisper-yelled and pushed them into the cabin. Then you looked back at the man who was staring at you with a flared nose and frowned eyebrows. You hastily bowed and went inside.
These kids make your life a step harder.
"Good evening, Dr. Park," you greeted the ever-smiling man and sat next to Mi-Cha who was in the center with your son on her right.
The room was as comfortable as ever. The walls were sunburnt with comfortable furniture. If you weren't aware of the fact that it was in the hospital, you could have mistaken it for someone's cozy living room.
Dr. Park tossed you your favorite stress ball that you used whenever you came for a session. It was exclusively for you. "Jimin. You know you can call me by my name, y/n."
"At least let me call you Dr. Park for the sessions," you smiled.
"You are never gonna listen to me," he scrunched his face.
"Well, I came this far while listening to you, Dr. Park," you both chuckled. The twins looked at both of you with wide doe eyes.
"However you feel comfortable, Ms. Kwog," he teased and turned towards the twins. "Well, hello there. Who do we have here," he asked in a childish voice and already went for the drawers that had some squishy toys that could be qualified as stress relievers.
They looked at you for approval to speak to a stranger. You smiled and nodded. "I'm Mi-Cha. I'm five years old."
"I'm Geon-Wu and I'm also five," they introduced.
"Wow, you both are so big and smart," Jimin said with big eyes.
Jimin and you have met outside of a session multiple times. But you never brought your kids with you or introduced them to anybody new. They were in a soft spot for now. They didn't do well with strangers, especially males.
"But mommy says that we are babies and we should behave," Geon-Wu pouted.
"Well, she is right. You both should behave at all ages," Jimin gave them some squishes. "How are you both? Did you two sleep well last night?"
"I'm good. I sleep a good night," Mi-Cha said in her broken language while playing with the green squishy frog whose eyes were going far away when she squished.
"Me too," he said while squishing the sheep.
"That's wonderful. So, is there something that makes you sad? Or makes you feel empty?" He carefully began.
The kids stopped and spaced out. You knew it was coming. They were smarter for their age. But they were still kids, they didn't understand deeper things.
"Dada," Geon-Wu said. "He is not coming home anymore. We always wait."
Your heart clenched. Every single day for five months, the twins would sit by the door at seven in the evening to greet their father as they usually did, but he never came.
"Did you ask your mother about it?" Jimin said as he wrote something in his notepad.
"Mommy said that an angel came and took him with her," Mi-Cha said, subconsciously squishing the frog.
"Yeah? Did she say that? And what do you think?" He asked.
"I think she is joking. He always called mom an angel. Why would she take him? Wouldn't she bring him home? And he can't go away without saying goodbye. He kisses our foreheads before going to the office," Geon-Wu's lips trembled.
Jimin straightened up and picked up the landline phone and called someone, "Hey, can you come in for a sec, please?" He hummed and placed it back. "You can keep the toys," Jimin smiled as well as the kids.
The middle-aged lady from before came in with a knock, "yes?"
"Take the kids for a while… kids? Go with her. She will give you candies," the kids looked at you again and with a single nod, they were out with the lady. "When there is a sudden change in the routine of kids, they tend to not get along well. No kid is good with changes especially if they are so sudden and unclear. I understand that telling them anything is heartbreaking and overall a stressful situation, but kids need a disclosure. A more settled if not the whole truth."
"How am I going to tell them?" Your tears were threatening to fall.
"Not now. Unless you are not ready, you don't have to. If you do tell them when you are not ready, it will affect your mental health. They don't understand the death stuff. They need some guidance to be there… to handle what their life has turned to," he said.
"What do you mean?" You asked.
"My father's friend is a great child therapist. I think you should set up at least one session for each. She is a really effective lady. I think she can help you the best. The rest is up to you," he shifted in his seat.
You sighed. It's not that you don't earn enough, it's the fact that your five years olds need therapy. This added one more thing to Jimin's list to help you overcome. He was just trying to help you in any way possible. And you were very well aware that they needed it. They need to know the truth…. In the end, the person in the equation is their father.
"How about we talk about you, Ms. Kwog?"
"Mommy! She gave me a raspberry candy," Mi-Cha waved her candy and jogged toward you followed by Geon-Wu.
"And she gave me a grape candy!" He said and both hugged your legs. You patted their heads.
"Yeah? That's so cool! Did you say thank you?" You asked.
"Oh, they did. I have never met such cute kids!" The lady said.
"Thank you so much," you smiled.
"I hope we will get to meet them sooner. Outside of this environment?" Jimin asked as he came out.
"Yes, mommy, can we meet Dr. Park sometime outside of the hospital? I like him," Mi-Cha said. Her cheeks turned into rosy blush.
You passed a squinted-eye look at her, "okay…"
Jimin laughed and kneeled, "we will meet soon!" She smiled widely and hugged him. Geon-Wu was also included by Jimin.
"Well, that's something," you said. "We need to go now."
The kids politely bowed and held your hands. When you were about to turn around, the other door opened and the man from before stepped out. Behind him, the other doctor, Dr. Jung Hoseok came and looked at you and passed a wide heart-shaped smile. The man looked at you and your kids with a blank face. You ignored him and passed a smile to Hoseok and left.
Hoseok and Jimin were the friends who opened the clinic. When you first came around, you heard that Hoseok was strict and intimidating. That was the reason why you asked for Jimin in the first place. But as time passed, you became friends with him through Jimin who brought Hoseok on lunch with him. He was strict, yes, in his work. But more than that, he was a ball of sunshine, trying to help people out in their worst. You loved to be around them.
"Bunny uncle! Bunny uncle!!!! BUNNY UNCLE!!!!"
"Whoa, you kids! Let the man get up and open the door in peace!" Jungkook, your best friend, said as he opened the door for you all.
"Bunny uncle!" The kids squealed and attached Jungkook with their tiny hugs. They have always called him bunny uncle based on his very similar looks to their favorite animal. Jungkook always loved it.
"Ah, how are my little bun buns?" He picked both of them like they weighed nothing and brought them inside, gesturing to you to come in as well.
"We are good. We met a cute doctor friend," Mi-Cha said as she nervously played with Jungkook's earrings.
"A cute doctor friend?" He asked.
"She means Dr. Park," Geon-Wu said.
"Ah, Jimin?... Ah," he understood and looked at you with a funny face. "Someone is having a first love."
"Stop!" Mi-Cha whined and buried her face in his neck.
"Ew," Geon-Wu fake gagged. "But he was nice. I like him."
Jungkook was the one who suggested you go to therapy. Jimin was his friend from school. So was Hoseok. Then both protected Jungkook from bullies as he was too innocent and fragile back then. Now he was a muscle pig and didn't get scared, instead, he would intimidate the others. But he never hurt anybody. He was a nice person.
"Well, it's good that you liked him. He is a charming man. But not more than me," you chuckled at his comment. "Anyway, how was it, Y/n? What did he say?"
You slumped on his couch as he sat in front of you with the twins in his lap. They both looked like pens in a pocket, too tiny against his huge figure. You adored it. At least they had one constant male figure in their life. He couldn't fill the father's void, but he was something close to it. A best friend, one could say. A blessing, as you say.
"Therapy. He recommends that they should be sent to a therapy session. His father's friend is a great child therapist. He said that I should at least send them once and see what happens…. They need disclosure. But first, they need to be strong enough for it… and I should be willing," you ran your hands on your face.
Jungkook and you met in college. You both had all the same subjects and stuck together all the time. He was the one who brought Dae-Jung, your late husband, to your group of two. He was the nicest and the most respectful man you have ever met. He held the universe in his eyes and poured it out for only you. Love, that word was never enough for him to express himself. It was more than that. He was more than that. You both fell in love and made a universe of your own. But everything comes to an end. And your universe tumbled before it even started.
Hugging both the twins closer to his chest, he kissed their heads and sighed. "I will be right here, okay? I'll help you as much as I can."
You held your tears back for the sake of your children.

Grey and I make our way back upstairs just as Jimin is leaving out the front door, seemingly in a hurry.
“Goodbye, Beautiful! I’ll see you in a bit?”
“Bye, Jimini,” I say, wishing he didn’t have to leave, my hand lazily slipping from Grey’s to fall at my side.
He comes running back over to me, taking me into his arms before sprinkling my face with tiny pecks causing me to smile involuntarily. Then grabbing my cheeks and making me look at him, he kisses my forehead and reassures me that he won’t be gone long, sealing this sweet goodbye with a kiss to the corner of my mouth.
“Jimini, huh? That’s cute,” he whispers in my ear, the smile beaming across his face lights up the entire room and with that, he’s out the door.
“Babe, I’m so sorry for intruding. We really should have called before we came, but Grey was adamant about seeing you and really has been worried about you. Thankfully, the guys seem to be taking amazing care of you but they have a couple of concerns, too,” John mentions as he places his hand on Taehyung’s shoulder with a comforting squeeze.
“Really? But, I’ve been feeling a lot better. My headache is gone, and I’m feeling so much stronger. No issues with my memory that I’m aware of,” I respond, looking between Taehyung and John for reassurance on the memory part.
“She has been doing a lot better. We are just concerned with whether there will be lasting effects from the medicine, her lack of appetite, and the strange bruises that seem to keep showing up on her body.”
Taehyung steps closer to me and touches the hem of my top, eyes searching for permission. Nodding, I agree, and he lifts my shirt while turning me to face him, showing a mark adorned with greens and blues on my back, just along my side, that I have been unaware is even there.
“This is the newest one that Jimin discovered this morning when she was getting out of the shower,” he voices to John, “but the one on her ankle is nearing a week old, I think. Also, here,” he exposes the skin on my left shoulder.”
“You haven’t been bumping into anything or falling? I have to ask with how clumsy you are,” John smiles as he crooks his tall frame down to see my back more clearly and rubs his fingers across the mark. I shake my head, wincing a bit at the slight soreness, trying to replay the past few days in my head. “Yeah, the one on the inside of your right ankle is healing nicely,” he glances down, “but the one on the back of your ankle, just above your Achilles, looks fresh.”
“Another one?” Taehyung bends down to take a closer look. “Yes, that’s a new one, too.”
John continues to look at the bruise on my back, “I’m not really concerned as your bloodwork did not indicate any abnormalities, but the location of this one is strange. It’s common to bump your arms and legs without noticing, but for one to show up on your torso for no particular reason is odd. With your eating habits being off since you first got sick, it could be an indication that you have a deficiency in vitamins C and/or K, which could cause you to bruise more easily. Try to increase your intake of leafy greens for vitamin K and citrus fruits, strawberries, and bell peppers for vitamin C. Let’s give it a couple of weeks or so and see if that helps.”
“Okay, I will. It’s great to have a doctor that makes house calls,” I answer as John and Taehyung pull my shirt back down, both chuckling lightly.
“I know right,” Grey agrees, being blessed to have even better accommodations, a live-in physician. “I get so excited for my physical exams, and you sound so sexy when you speak doctor,” Grey says to John, lifting himself on his tiptoes to kiss John's cheek, which causes his face to redden. We get a good laugh out of their antics before Grey continues. “But, seriously, T, let us know if there’s anything you need or if something else happens. You know we’re always here for you…just a phone call away.”
“I know, and I will, Grey, thank you. But I’m fine, really.”
“And I am so glad. By the way, your clients have been asking about you and our fellow clinicians are wanting to do something for you. I know that you don’t like to be the center of attention, so I told them that flowers, a plant, or a gift card would be enough. Have you decided how long you’re going to be out?”
“Awww, you know me so well. They don’t have to get me anything, but I would appreciate whatever they decide on. I really miss my clients as well, but I know I’m not in the right headspace to be an effective counselor right now. Plus, I know they are in good hands. I feel like I would be doing them a disservice if I returned too early.” “I completely agree with you and think that you should take your time with trying to come back. I’ll tell them that you’ll reach out when you're back in the office. Have you made an appointment with your own therapist? I hope you’re not trying to handle all of this on your own. It’s a lot.”
“Yeah, I know…you’re right. I’ll give her a call later today.”
We say our goodbyes to Grey and John and as soon as the door latches, I’m pulled into Taehyung's arms. Nothing is said for moments as we just hold on to each other, slightly swaying left to right, his hands rubbing soothing circles across my back. I’m not sure if it’s because of what Grey mentioned about me using them to feel safe, but I find myself fighting back tears, the feelings of love, safety, and security are still new, unfamiliar, and overwhelming.
As if on cue, Taehyung pulls me in tighter, holding me together so that I don’t crumble on the spot. I’m happy here with my guys, and they have been a great distraction from the real world, but there are definitely things within myself that I need to be focusing on. I startle slightly when Taehyung finally speaks.
“What are you thinking about?”
“I’m thinking about how happy I am that you guys have come into my life.”
“But…”
“But, I’m not sure if I’m using you all as a distraction to not have to deal with the hard stuff, you know?”
“Yeah, I get that, but I don’t think we’ve been a distraction, per se. You have been resting and trying to get better. It’s okay to put things on pause every now and then. And, you’re going to make your appointment today, right?” I nod into his chest. “You’ve gone through so much recently, I can imagine it all is pretty scary. Isn’t it okay to focus on the good things sometimes?”
“Yes, it is, I just can’t let the good things be an excuse to not do the work I need to do. I just hate that Grey had to tell me to take care of my mental health. I should have already been on top of that. I am a therapist, for goodness sake.”
“Yes, you are a therapist, but you’re also human. And that’s okay. It doesn’t matter how you came to the conclusion, just that you’re here.”
It amazes me how he’s able to pick up on my anxious thoughts, my overthinking, and immediately calm me. I love this feeling, but it scares me. I can’t help but think, am I becoming dependent on the guys or am I being vulnerable and allowing them in, accepting their love and help? This is something I will need to investigate further and speak with my therapist about, for sure.
While loosening his hold on me, Taehyung lets me know that he will need to go into the office today but that he should be back by the time Jimin is on his way. I’m thinking that I could go out for a bit as I haven’t seen the sun in a while, my pasty complexion is proof of that. After I see Taehyung off, I head upstairs to freshen up a bit before I go, making sure to move quietly as Jungkook is still fast asleep.
A thought crosses my mind as I’m walking into the garage that I should just stay home, but I’m tired of being cooped up, basically a prisoner in my own home. I refuse to let fear or sickness keep me captive. I choose to disregard my thoughts and climb into my SUV, tossing my crossbody bag onto the passenger seat before cranking up to leave, with no particular destination in mind. The door rolls up and I begin backing out, but my entire body feels like it’s screaming for me to turn back, not giving me a chance to even make it out of the driveway.
I have got to persevere and fight against this anxiety, I have to...I can’t let it win, right? I can hear my blood rushing and pumping in my ears, my heart is racing and pounding hard against my chest. It’s taking my breath away as I begin heaving, trying to fill my lungs with oxygen. My hands are visibly shaking, and in an attempt to calm them, I clench the steering wheel into my fists, my bones audibly crack, and my acrylic nails stab into my palms.
I can’t think straight. I feel like I’m going to pass out. I can’t breathe…my heart is beating way too fast. I don’t want to die like this. I’m in complete panic as my wheels transition from my driveway to the road. I can’t deny that I’m no longer in a state to be driving, but I can’t stop. I can’t think.
“AAAAAAH!”
A car honking scares me into myself as I instinctively remove my hands from the steering wheel to cover my head, preparing myself for the collision. The only thing I can hear is the sound of my own screaming which goes silent on impact. I know that I’ve crashed into something, someone…but I’m not sure. My body is now telling me to shut down, but I’m fighting against it. I have to make sure I haven’t hurt anyone. Before I can open the car door to get out, there’s a knock at the window which causes me to shriek again.
“Oh my God, I’m so sorry,” the person says, muffled through the glass. “Are you okay?”
The person opens the door and leans in, pushing my weak body back against the seat gently.
“Ma’am! Are you okay? I’m so sorry! Are you hurt anywhere? Hold on…I’ll call an ambulance.”
“I’m okay. I’m okay,” I whisper. Still panting, I look up to the stranger to see the intense worry in his beautiful brown eyes, and he’s searching my body for any sign of injury. “I-I just need to get home.”
“Are you sure? You may need to go to the hospital to get checked out. I’ll take full responsibility and pay any medical bills.”
“No, no…I’m fine. J-just want to go home. I just want to go home.”
“Okay…okay…of course, I can take you back home,” he says pointing in the direction of my house behind the trunk of my vehicle, “just let me report the accident, then we’ll get you back.”
“No, no. It’s okay, my fri…boyfriend is at home. He’s a cop.”
“Oh, ok, well…one second.”
He scurries off to his truck to get his phone and begins to take pictures of the incident. As he’s moving around our cars, I’m able to take him all in. The guy is massive and has to be at least 6 feet 2 inches tall, definitely a tree that my short, 5 foot 1 inch ass would be more than happy to climb. His hair looks so fucking sexy, a bit full on top but undercut on the sides and tapered in the back. My God, there is something about the nape of a man’s neck after a fresh cut that makes me want to lick it. I can tell that he used products to style the front away from his handsome face, allowing me to see the way his eyebrow raises as he reviews the pictures he’s taken.
Once he’s satisfied, he cranks up and maneuvers his vehicle out of the road and onto the shoulder. The man runs back to my side, his pecs bouncing under his dry-fit shirt. He unbuckles my seat belt and allows me to lean in, melting into him. Aside from the current circumstances, this feels so good…so right. I must have bumped my head in the wreck because how am I, amid an anxiety attack and car accident but, still being a hoe?! I’m still struggling to breathe, but I’m not sure if I’m anxious or just turned the fuck on.
The man assists me to sit in the back seat before he jumps in behind the wheel to reverse my car back down the long driveway, his tanned, muscular arm bridging the gap between the headrests. I can’t avert my eyes, mesmerized as I'm watching the way his muscles flex from the slightest movements. His eyes are wide, and his mouth is slightly ajar as he focuses on driving backward with precision.
When the car comes to a halt, he gets out quickly and is at my door again to retrieve me. This time, he turns my legs to hang out of the door first, standing between them and hooking my arms around his neck. He smells so fucking good, and the way he’s looking down at me makes me want to pounce on him. When he lifts me to straddle his torso, my mind wanders to the gutter, imagining this man fucking me in this exact position. I find myself pulling him closer, my hand sneaking up his neck to rest at his nape. A quiet moan escapes me when he nudges me upward to get a better grip on my thighs, the warmth of his body brushing against my core through the thin fabric of my shorts.
“Are you okay? Did I hurt you?”
Fuck no. I want more.
“Uh, no. No…no, I’m fine, just a little lightheaded,” I play it off, technically not lying as I am still dizzy from just hyperventilating.
He walks us up to the door and rings the bell as I’m hanging comfortably around his neck, my head resting into the crook of his neck. I’m not upset regarding my current position, however, I feel so bad, knowing that Jungkook’s sleep is being disturbed because of me. I can hear his footsteps bumping down the stairs right before the door swings open. I’m unable to see his face but can hear the alarm in his voice immediately.
“Noona?! What the fuck? What’s going on?”
Jungkook peels me from the stranger’s body to be placed against his own as he carries me inside, continuing to blurt out question after question, examining me as he goes on.
“Are you okay? What happened?” Jungkook is still questioning when we go into the living area. He sits me down on the couch, and the man follows behind us after closing the front door. I hold my head in my hands now seated on the sofa, the stranger taking a seat on the opposite couch, leaving space for Jungkook to sit next to me.
“So sorry…it’s all my fault. I was driving through the neighborhood passing out business cards… your house was my next stop, actually. When I was reaching to grab one from the passenger seat, I wasn’t paying attention to the road. I didn’t realize I ran the stop sign until another car started honking their horn,” the stranger motions towards the street. “I didn’t see her pulling out and ran into the front of her car. It was all my fault, honestly, and I have pictures…”
The man is maundering on while pulling his phone from his back pocket.
“Okay, okay… wait. Noona, are you sure you’re okay? Do I need to call John or take you to the hospital?” Panic is still evident in his voice.
“Jungkook, I’m fine,” I snap at him, knowing I’m not upset with him but rather frustrated with myself.
There is a long pause before the stranger breaks the silence, “I can go if you guys need privacy. I’ll just leave my information in case you want to file a claim. There didn’t seem to be much damage, but there were scratches on the bumper,” the outsider says uncomfortably.
“No…no. I’m sorry for being bitchy, I’m just so irritated with myself right now.”
“Noona, don’t worry about that, I’m good. Do you want to tell me why you’re irritated with yourself or about what’s going on?”
When I look into his eyes, there are no signs of anger or impatience with me, just worry.
I take a deep sigh, leaning back into the couch cushion, “I just wanted to get out for a bit. I’ve been stuck at home for weeks now, unless I was at the hospital.”
“That’s understandable.” Jungkook replies. “Where were you going?”
“Nowhere in particular…just out to combat the cabin fever I am experiencing. UGH! Something was telling me not to go, just to stay home, but I didn’t listen, obviously. I’m sorry for disturbing your sleep…I feel like such an idiot.”
“You’re not an idiot, Noona…”
“He’s right…you’ve done nothing wrong. I’m the one that hit you, remember?” The stranger offers, leaning his elbows onto his knees. “I wasn’t paying attention like I should have been, and I’m so sorry.”
“Hey…things happen. Both of you should stop beating yourselves up. They are called accidents for a reason. Neither of you could have predicted this would happen today,” Jungkook encourages. “And please forgive me, I was so alarmed, I didn’t even ask your name.”
“All good, man, I completely understand. Everything was happening so fast,” he stands to offer his hand to Jungkook. “My name is Namjoon. Kim Namjoon…it’s nice to meet you both.”
“Nice to meet you, Namjoon. I’m Jungkook.”
“Hey,” he says once he comes to stand in front of me, “so sorry again.” He reaches out to me, so I lean up to take his hand. When we touch, that familiar feeling rushes through me, making my heart race and my body run hot. Unconsciously, my thighs squeeze together and I bite at my bottom lip. My pussy melts from his touch, the pressure I’m applying to my lip, trying to keep my composure, damn near breaking the skin.
Namjoon’s POV
Tia.
When her name tumbles from her brown-lined, glossy lips, it makes me feel like I’ve just taken a hit of the strongest drug. My mouth is dry, and my heart is racing. My blood has, obviously, been replaced with molten lava as my entire body feels hot, the boiling liquid gushing through my veins, but why? This is the first time I’ve met this woman, but I’m in love! I guess ‘love at first sight’ does exist. I felt it as soon as I opened her door to see her in distress. An intense need to protect her came over me. Keeping her close to me is all I wanted and needed. I hope neither she or Jungkook took offense to the way I carried her earlier. I’m certain they would if they could hear my inner thoughts, they would hate me. I feel guilty thinking of her the way I am which is probably why I’m so fidgety and graceless.
Fuck, she has a boyfriend and I should start acting like it! I must be mad to be holding her hand this long, allowing my thumb to caress her silky, caramel skin; looking at her as if I need her in order to breathe. I can see the rest of my life in those beautiful, brown irises. Her man is sitting right here, for fuck’s sake, but strangely enough, I don’t feel any negative or jealous vibes coming from him. And if I’m not tripping, I swear I just saw him smirk at me.
I’m simply holding her hand, but my body is reacting as if I’m swimming deep inside of her sea. Quickly, I release her to cover my crotch with my hand while my cell phone occupies my other. My dick begins to rise for the second time today, the first time being when I had her in my arms, flush with my body. Unable to hold in my nervous laughter, I take my seat back on the opposite sofa, praying to myself that neither of them noticed anything, either time. Maybe I should try to deflect.
“I’m so sorry for lingering, I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful,” I look at Jungkook, “your girlfriend is very beautiful. Tia, forgive me if that was awkward or if I made you feel uncomfortable.”
Admittedly, I’m caught off guard when Jungkook begins laughing, as that can mean a couple of things. Either he’s amused by my actions, or he’s amused at how he’s about to beat my ass. He is slightly shorter than me, but the motherfucker looks strong as fuck…I honestly don’t want the smoke.
“Bro…don’t apologize to me. If my girlfriend is enjoying it, that’s all that matters.”
I follow his eyes when he looks over to Tia, who is blushing and smiling, the image taking my breath away. I begin to ramble before I even realize it.
“Oh my God…you are so beautiful. I’ve been to galleries all over the world but have never seen any artwork as alluring as you, Tia. Ah, my bad, I-,” stopping mid-sentence, I try not to put my foot any further in my mouth. Nervously, I’m patting my foot, it tap tap taps against the hardwood floor, which is probably making me look worse. Fuck, my phone nearly slips from my hand, but I’m able to catch it.
“Thank you,” Tia says, still smiling, “so are you. Beautiful, I mean.”
Her statement catches me off guard as I’m literally fumbling my entire life. Jungkook just smiles, scrunching his nose at our clumsy exchange, which brings me comfort for some reason. I take a deep breath, hoping to calm myself and maybe start fresh…let them know I’m not always like this and can be pretty chill. Just as I’m replying to Tia, the door pad beeps as numbers are being entered. Tia and Jungkook look at each other, excitement in their eyes, and they hop up in unison. It’s as if two young children are excited that their daddy is home.
“Hey! Did you miss us?”
Two men enter the house, the taller one speaks, and they both immediately gush over Tia, showering her with hugs and kisses. They then extend warm hugs to Jungkook. I’m not sure what’s going on, but I’m unbothered by it, not negatively, anyway. Watching this exchange makes my heart flutter before a tinge of jealousy creeps in. I find myself fighting back hot tears, the lump in my throat almost unbearable. I’m not upset that these men are all over the love of my life or the fact that she is loving it. I feel a pull, a yearning to be a part of it all.

I'm so dreadfully sorry this took so long been busy, my head is unfortunately a cheese so I forgot all the cool things I wanted to do for these guys but introducing Ray and Mue, fusion ship meme children of my May and @blues-sues's Rue! (and yes I did just do the classic letter swap switch for names fight me)
Tumblr media
So Ray takes a lot after Rue physically being pale with pink and inherited stripe but more orange on the scale from May and her horn style though obviously shorter than her silly huge ones and her short stubby tail. I imagine his orange stripe actually climbs up his back but below his chest piece.
Mue meanwhile is more color but slide to the pink spectrum like Rue and Rues horns but they're like longer along her head like how May's go all the way back with a kind of pink orange mix color tail, long like Rues but Mue got freckles she was gonna have stripes on her body made from freckles mixing those traits but decided not to steal that from Ray.
They also have like different stomach shapes, can't recall rn who's who.
So lore time!
After Rue and May escape in Rue!au, team rocket goes argh! Damn! Fuck! Lost another one. But in an attempt of recapture they manage to procure blood samples and go fine Rue clone it is. Unfortunately the samples were compromised mixing Rue and May's dna making fusion mix children.
Mue was the biggest healthiest when growing mixing Rues power and May's physical strengths making her very promising, she has boosted stats in HP, attack and defence so she hits hard and can take hits much like how May was significantly tanky if weak and Rues ability to hit hard, they figured they could train up her other stats later to make her even more powerful in future. She's the golden child for that having May's obedience and Rues enthusiasm for the organisation they're in, she's happy to be seen by whichever human caretaker is off screen rn. She was implanted with a mega X stone to compliment her hard hitting.
Ray however struggled more, being the only other survivor as the others unfortunately didn't last (probably due to May's bad genes) he needed to be removed from growth early to have surgery done on his second neck as due to its small size it had started to collapse which would've severely limited his psychic ability and usefulness probably he likely could've died from inadequate blood flow nerve damage stuff ect. He survived but his powers are while his wound healed still limited, being smaller and weaker and quieter he was more often ignored for the louder more promising Mue. He learnt to be quiet because no one heard him, only paid attention to when they checked on him so he's more withdrawn and insecure hence holding his own tail self comforting. His stats are boosted in Speed, sp defence and sp attack, while they do still train him as he gets older they obviously prefer Mue as she's stronger and with his limited psychic power the boost to his sp attack and defence doesn't do much. He's implanted with a mega Y to at least play on his speed.
While Mue is the golden child Ray begins to learn as they grow, especially after his psychic powers fully recover and bounce back (though to near overwhelming headache inducing degrees for him at first) that is he agrees to tests, agrees to experiments to trials and adjustments he gets attention, positive attention he gets praised he gets doted on showered in compliments. He's not dumb he knows they're only using him only saying how magnificent he is because he's letting them add machinery to his body but, it's a rush he's never had before and he gets stronger, armor to boost his defence that reduces the damage of hits and helps focus his powers to even more devastating effects. He gets powerful. He gets very powerful and very dangerous. Despite being the runt as he gets more tests done more experiments he gets more foods (and probably growth hormones) he gets bigger growing taller than Mue becoming a very tall lean mean harsh cold mewtwo covered in armor. He becomes very promising indeed.
Mue however, she starts to stagnate, she's powerful yes very powerful she hits hard and she does damage but she can't quite pull up her other stats to the same degree (they're still good stats probably just a touch below normal mewtwo stats), what's the point of hitting hard if her special attacks don't do as much damage as they should or she gets a chunk of health taken from a special attack. She starts to fall out of favor especially because she's used to being the favorite she's more confident and hot headed more self assured in a way she refuses experiments snaps she'll manage it herself. The golden child and the ignored child switch places slowly until she realises she's in her little brothers shadow and she doesn't know how to comprehend it. It's full cemented when they get into a fight that started as a simple spar, she can't get a hit on him but figured just one should do the trick to put her back on top. But she doesn't even get the chance to, he hits her first and he hits her with all he's got and she can't pull herself back up. It's from then she starts seeing the cracks in the organisation realising how she put blind faith into something that was untrue and even cruel as she gets pushed aside.
She tries to tell her brother of the horrors of it all that this wasn't good it was all bad and they needed to leave! But he just scoffs and looks at her behind his mask, "don't you think I already knew all that?" he'd snap coldly, "you may have not noticed before but I realised very quickly what was going on but I had to endure because I didn't have the same privilege you have now to be able to escape, it's all fine when little Mue gets whatever she wants but now little Mue isn't the favorite you want to call it quits? What about when I wasnt in favour huh?! When I cried and cried till my throat gave out because I was the disposable one?! You don't get to ruin this for me. You can run. I'll turn my back I'll let you I won't say a thing. But I'm not coming with you. And if they tell me to hunt you down and bring you back? I just hope I dont find you."
Ray at this point has put himself through too much to be able to leave, the augmentations potentially permanently fused to him (they don't want a repeat of the original mewtwo being able to simply remove it), validation is a hell of a drug and what could the outside possibly offer him? Being hunted chased hounded injured seen as some impossible capture, a sports trophy to boast about? He may not like what he's become but he's not going to become some humans prize.
And so Mue flees alone.
As you can tell I've thought a lot about Ray at least, Mue I struggle a bit with. Of course this is all hypothetical future stuff lmao, Blues you're absolutely free to go "um no actually stop being horrid to them" XD and if you'd like one you're free to claim. Sorry they're not as unique as some of the others, unfortunately May is #bland

Yes I love pjo AUs!!! Will you say more pretty please?
i’m so sorry this sat in my inbox for so long! but yes! i still think about this au; it isn’t dead :) SO:
tendou shows up halfway through sixth grade after an incident at school. he’s tall for his age and skinny with twitchy hands, shifty eyes, and a gap in his front teeth when he smiles. terushima takes a liking to him pretty much the second he shows up, much to his delight, and they are a Nightmare, especially when he joins forces with a few of the hermes kids. his friendship with ushijima is a bit of a slow starter in comparison, but only because they start off as sparring partners and tendou spends the first few weeks of that relationship eating dust after ushijima knocks him off his feet. that said, within two months they’re each other’s most regular sparring partner because ushijima is ruthless in a way that toes the line between “efficient” and “brutal” and tendou’s persistent, a fast learner, and has approximately zero reservations about using everything at his disposal to get a leg up. they have a blast together.
kyoutani threatened to bite hoshiumi less than three days after meeting him. predictably, this did not go over well.
aran’s biggest strengths lie in his archery and iwaizumi’s in healing, but listening to iwaizumi play guitar and aran accompany with vocals over the campfire is a religious experience.
speaking of iwaizumi and aran, even though iwaizumi is the official apollo counselor due to about ten months’ worth of seniority, he and aran tend to share responsibilities. iwaizumi usually handles the official business, though, because aran, like any sane person, simply does not want to be stuck in the same room as tendou, daishou, oikawa, and semi at the same time.
ikkei was (is? nobody’s seen him in a while, but there’s really no telling for sure) a son of zeus, and while for the most part keishin doesn’t have any superhuman abilities, he knows plenty about demigods, monsters, and camp. he, naoi, takeda, and several others are a part of a network where they try to keep an eye out for young demigods to keep them from being eaten and to get them a satyr so they can be shuttled off to camp.
the interior of the aphrodite cabin gives aone overstimulation headaches, so when they relax, he and futakuchi sit out on the lawn instead. it’s not uncommon for mika to join them.
kai has a pair of charmed sneakers that allow him to be totally silent whenever he wears them—no clothing rustling, no breathing, no footsteps, nothing gets through to be heard. on the downside, it gets inconvenient if he ever wants to talk, so to circumvent this, he establishes a set of hand signals that can be used in a fight or during a game.
kuroo’s older sister satomi is mortal. her parents—kuroo’s dad and her mom—had a messy divorce when she was about four and a half and her mom all but walked out the door and disappeared. demeter came into the picture within a year, and tetsurou showed up when she was six. this was,, reasonably distressing, even more so because demeter only stuck around for about two years before she started going on increasingly lengthy “business trips” before leaving for good, which freaked out both satomi and her dad. he all but drowned himself in work and caring for tetsurou; satomi ended up running away when tetsurou was four and she was ten to go find her mom. no, it was not planned. yes, her dad looked for her. no, he didn’t find her. she did, however, get picked up by the hunters of artemis. she stuck with them for a while, learning about the gods, quietly accepting that she probably wouldn’t find her mom, and eventually putting the pieces together with the whole situation with tetsurou. at first, this information makes her avoid them even harder because good lord would that kind of thing foster resentment, but she gets a little older and realizes that tetsurou probably is a) actively in danger and b) has no idea.
tetsurou doesn’t remember much about satomi. all he knows is that there’s a handful of pictures of her in the hallway and that she left like both of their moms, which is why it doesn’t go great when she just shows up again out of the blue just as he starts middle school. she tells him that she wants to make up for running out and protect him at the same time, but she’s sixteen, he’s eleven, they both have loads of issues with resentment/misplaced guilt and blame/abandonment and The Talk does not go well at all. it’s a very rocky situation for a while, and tetsurou spends a lot of time at kenma’s, who he’d met when he and his dad moved into the area two years prior. however, satomi’s new presence means that when kenma and tetsurou finally get Noticed™️ and attacked on a camping trip, she’s there to kill the monster and get them in contact with camp half-blood.
while satomi and tetsurou’s relationship is still shaky and horribly complicated as they get older, neither of them are angry people by nature and they try really hard. so does their dad.

What would happen if Melvin became smart again? Also does Melvin live with gpkrupp because you said he adopted him?
Welp allow me to ramble and explain the whole thing cuz y'all making me wanna info-dump so much that I wanna do it right now without hesitating
Big trigger warning, by the way:
Mention of bruises, neglect, etc (?)
If Sneedly ("Melvin") ever gets his IQ (or intelligence) back, he will be back to normal like he used to and try to fix the whole situation. However, he needs a few times to heal and recover first because of the injuries and of course headaches from getting too many injection and being treated like a rat in a laboratory.
And remember this one page from the novel where Melvin and Krupp switched bodies and turns out they also switched brains and then Krupp became Mr. Melvin and Melvin was Kruppy the kid?? Yeah!
That's EXACTLY what happened in that AU except Gp!Krupp thought it was a good idea to harm Sneedly AGAIN and used him as a human test. Obviously, because he wanted to have fun torturing an ACTUAL kid after 40 or 45 years old handling his hatred towards children.
I mean let's be real. Sneedly is the "teacher's pet", he is Krupp's silly little punching bag and an assistant. He is like a puppet to him, a toy, an object. That's how He sees Sneedly because he uses him as a way to release his damn anger and does not care if the kid is heavily traumatized and hurt or almost dying during the "testing" until the kid becomes weak and learns to be used to it? I'm guessing he's supposed to be the "new Melvin" in his version.
And yes. Possibly he lives with Gp!Krupp. Despite the principal being abusive and a bad influence (on him I mentioned in a very old post that I made and I might either remake that), Krupp had to make sure his "assistant" didn't escape. Since he already tricked Gaylord into thinking he "can" fix his son for him which was a lie and ended up getting away with it after managing to take the kid away from his family. I'm aware Sneedly lives with him. Well, he is forced to, and Sneedly is used to it??? He doesn't care if he gets hurt by him, he is possibly used to bruises and damage.

Do you have any cute 2nu headcanons? I'd love to know more about your Gorillaz universe!!
Hello! And yes, I have a few — some settled in The Nox AU, while the rest can work nicely both in canon and any other AU that includes them both as a couple, and really good friends.
Noodle has nicknames she uses to name the boys, ones she came up with when she was a child, and uses regularly to either express her care and appreciation of them, or try and convince them to do anything she wants. She always succeeds. These nicknames are Japanese words that remind her or define the rest of the band. Murdoc is Karasu — Crow. Russel is Haku — White, due to his eyes. And 2D is Chi, which means Blood.
2D's eyes were the first thing 23 saw when she met the boys. They are her favorite thing about Stuart, and likes to get lost in the red of them. They are made of warm Blood and, as such, that became his name.
Both Noodle and 2D share a tattoo of the Chi Kanji. They also have a tattoo of the name of the other — 2D for her, 23 for him.
They love to read The Sandman together. Stuart introduced the comic to Noodle when she was young, and she became obsessed with it. They usually cosplay The Endless, Death being Noodle's favorite.
The mask she used during Plastic Beach (the same one she wears in The Nox AU) used to belong to Stuart, who used it in carnivals when he was a child.
Noodle steals 2D's clothes, and refuses to give them back unless he buys more. That is, of course, so she can steal more.
Noodle's mother was a woman named Sora Misaki. When they found out about this and couldn't contact her, Noodle decided to travel back to Japan and search for her. 2D goes with her.
2D has Marfan Syndrome, which means that his vision is nearly nonexistent — the accidents and the hyphema did not help with this. He has glasses, of course, and he needs them permanently. However, after years being bullied, he decides not to wear them in public. It's a silly thing, really, but also a scar and Noodle tries to heal it. So, she helps him walk without bumping into anything and acts as his eyes when they're in public.
She has made her mission to help 2D understand that he is not alone, that he is not useless, that he is worth more than most people and that he is strong. Anyone who dares to speak a word against him because of his looks or personality will face her anger.
No one wants to be the target of an angry Noodle.
Due to his condition, 2D needs to take beta-blockers to keep his blood pressure in check, along with the pills for his headaches and pain. He usually forgets, so Noodle reminds him to take them every day.
She takes care of him and this, eventually, drives them closer. Noodle knows every need of his, and 2D tries to make it up to her in every way he can.
Their feelings develop naturally, and it takes years and help from their friends to accept them. It is hard, with the life they live and everything they've been trough. Sometimes the differences between them feel abysmal. But they grow and learn together.
When they finally tell the rest of the band they're together (which comes as no surprise) Murdoc frowns and gives two hundred pounds to Ace, who smiles deviously and says "I won".
2D, surprisingly, is a master of the art of flirting. No one can believe it when he decides, all in good fun, that Noodle makes a good teasing target. To his own amazement, she flirts back.
Every Saturday night, 2D and Noodle visit a club downtown and play a little game of theirs: Who can get more phone numbers through the course of the night, both from boys and girls? Noodle wins. Every. Single. Time.
Rachel Pot loves Noodle. They are both passionate, they both protect those they love fiercely, and they both command Stuart to put on his glasses at the same time and with the same posture. Murdoc fears the women, Russel is amused by them and Stuart is torn between hiding from their gaze or hug them both and thank them for their care.
Every once in a while, 2D and Noodle listen to old disco hits all the way from the 70's to the early 2000's — and they listen to them loudly. And dance. A lot. Ace loves to join them, as does Russel, if only to see them make a fool of themselves. Murdoc, however, never joins. Expect for that one time when they all watched, terrified, as he danced to the tune of Barbie girl with all his might.

“The Kind hearted apprentice hopeful to discover her past”
Age: 24 (As of the Prologue)
Gender: Cisgender woman (She/her)
Race: Dutch
Birthday: January 25th
Zodiac: Aquarius Sun, Cancer Moon, Libra Rising
Favourite food: Glazed Sweet Potato
Favourite drink: Ginger Tea
Favourite Flower: Tulips
Backstory
Prior to coming to Vesuvia, Katarina spent her early years as the daughter of a prominent noble family in Vivelan. Her mother works closely as an advisor to king, and her father is a knight. She remembers little of her parents, but knew that they loved her and only wanted what was best for her.
At the age of five a civil war broke out in her nation, and an attack on the palace lead to many dead. She was sent to live with two family friends, Jacobus and Annike, whom she affectionately referred to as “Uncle Jacobus” and “Auntie Anne”. It was then that they travelled and settled in Vesuvia, opening up a shop.
Katarina’s childhood in Vesuvia was relatively fine. Jacobus and Annike raised her like their own, and never tried to hide the truth about her parents, though they did cover up some details until she was older. She didn’t have much friends growing up, but she found that helping out in the shop, especially helping out the people, was rewarding enough interaction. At the age of 9 was when she first met Asra, when Jacobus and Annike took him in to become their apprentice and learn magic along with Katarina. The two became close, with Asra even developing a small crush on her.
When Katarina was 18, her Aunt and Uncle travelled to Vivelan to investigate what had happened, only for them to not return. The plague had also begun, and not wanting to be useless, she became an apprentice to Dr. Devorak. This caused a rift in her relationship with Asra until they both decided him leaving was the best course of action. She caught the plague and eventually passed away, which lead to her resurrection and the events of the Arcana game.
Personality:
Tari is A sweet and kind person who is willing to go out of her way to look out for others, often at her own expense. She has an optimistic worldview, and will often try to see the brighter side of difficult situations. While she is not outwardly shy, she is rather introverted in nature and does have a calm disposition most of the time. She also gets flustered very easily when someone flirts with her or gives her a compliment. She has a tendancy to struggle with depression and anxiety, but tries to hide it with her cheerful and optimistic nature. Is an overthinker and very insecure about herself, especially her body.
Magic:
Because magic does not run her bloodline, Tari does not have an inherit aptitude for magic. Instead, she was taught by her Uncle and Aunt and became the first in her family to learn it. This, unfortunately, means that she draws energy from her body instead of a natural source. This leads to her getting what she calls ‘burnouts’, a period of time where she displays physical symptoms of overexertion of her magical abilities and cannot use her magic until she recovers.
Some symptoms include greying of hair (which only came about post-resurrection), throbbing headaches, nosebleeds and fatigue.
Tari is incredibly skilled in light manipulation, able to create orbs and shapes from light and even able to manifest them into a tangible form (mostly arrows as shown in Muriel’s route). She is also an incredibly skilled healer, although she is more effective at healing injuries than illnesses, and healing can be more draining when it comes to magical exertion.
Sexual orientation: Asexual Panromantic
Canon Love Interests: Muriel (Primary), Nadia, Portia (Au)
OC Pairings:
Mungo (@cinnella
Armallo (@armallo-and-roul)
Open to Shipping: Yes
