My asks are always open if you have questions about this blog or if you just want to talk about the movie.
Disclaimers: The movie is rated R and I will be posting some of the explicit stuff from the movie here so please do not interact if you are a minor!
This blog is also not promoting drug use, toxic relationships, or anything of the sort. My intent is never to romanticize any of the mental health or drug abuse problems present in the movie, so please don’t take it that way.
Though the movie is based on real people, my posts will focus on the universe established by the movie unless stated otherwise. It’s important to remember that some events were dramatized for the screen and I am not commenting on the lives or livelihood of the real life Allen Ginsberg, Lucien Carr, or any of the other real people portrayed in the movie.
I hope you’ll consider sticking around. Break the pattern, make the world wider.

Austin is no longer brothers with Astral as they both are family. However, astral is an actor and a top-secret spy for an undercover agency "Red Rabbit"
finally, Sparrow is also an actor as well but he actually plays a very good pirate role as he also takes part in being one! eventually Sparrow becomes the literal pirate like he told himself to be!

Kill Your Darlings (2013)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1311071/
Back in 2013, when Daniel Radcliffe was still just Harry Potter to most people, Kill Your Darlings was released. It was his second non-Harry Potter role, after 2012’s The Woman In Black, and it showed the world that he could do more than play the potty wee Potter character.
Directed by John Krokidas (his debut) and written by the director with Austin Bunn, Kill Your Darlings is based on the true story of the murder of David Kammerer (Michael C. Hall) by Lucien Carr (Dane DeHaan). When a young Allen Ginsberg (Radcliffe) enters Columbia University he instantly falls for the free-thinking charms of his classmate Lucien, who already hangs out with the likes of Jack Kerouac (Jack Huston) and William Burroughs (Ben Foster). The four of them lay the foundation of the Beat Generation, a literary movement that defied all rules of common writing to go against tradition and form. Lucien is the wild card of the four, who takes his hate towards everything normal slightly too far.
Quite basically is Kill Your Darlings a more sophisticated version of Taxi Driver. A lot of people are seen smoking, but still in the cool way, there is books all around, literary discussions, university life and a general feeling of pleasantness. And no matter their rebellious behaviour, all of them are still Columbia kids who dress and talk accordingly. It is pretentious behaviour, sure, but it goes with the whole aesthetic of both film and story.
That’s what I liked about Kill Your Darling; the whole feeling of it is just cool. It’s not great on a narrative level though and the director still has a lot to learn in terms of storytelling and explaining the relations between characters a little more clear (in this case between Carr and Kammerer, two characters vital to the plot but whose interdependencies are too vague), but the whole jazzy feeling of the film just got to me.
