Dowarn, Doomolok; Noongar names. (Abbott, Ian, 2009)

Ringneck; English, a visual description.

Or, 28; English, because people say the call sounds like 28 in English... I don't think it does.

My greatest difficulty with birding is light. In the late afternoon, I had to take the shutter speed down to 1/200s for some of these shots. Not ideal at 400mm or such a fast, nervous bird.

Stabilisation and shooting raw files help, but the ideal solution would be a larger aperture lens. Unfortunately, the cheapest options are priced similarly to small cars, so like most people, my birding has a curfew.
