The fact that this episode was titled "the Crossing" as in them crossing from their group of 5 to a group of 4 (AGAIN) without Echo. I loved how you could really see that Echo leaving affected their group dynamic.

Yes. Their group dynamic already changed before because of:

Echo joining - > Crosshair leaving - >Omega joining

But that was way less obvious as we only had a short 4 episode arc with them in tcw (Echo joining at the end of this) and only knowing their dynamic during combat, before Crosshair leaving and Omega joining both directly happened at the beginning of season 1. There's only a limited amount of their dynamic we got to see in S1Ep1. Therefore, in terms of group dynamics, this episode was much more impactful than the entirety of S1. (Also I feel like that Echo was mentioned more often than Crosshair in the entire S1)

Another thing I loved is Omega getting a better understanding of Tech. We as viewers obviously see the pretty obvious autistic coding in Tech (might as well just say it out loud, but Disney would probably never in Star Wars). But Omega as a child can not just understand him in a way the viewers do. We have an outside perspective, Omega is on the inside perspective and also grew up with very little connection to other people.                                                                      Not only, is she a (traumatized) child experiencing a lot of change and hardships in her life right now, she probably still has troubles understanding her own emotions to a certain degree, even if she matured a lot.

She is a CHILD. There for she already has trouble understanding and dealing with her own emotions. So without a good conversation (they luckily had) there isn’t a good way for her to understand that people deal with change, hardships, grief etc. in very different ways. While Omega is openly frustrated Tech is dealing with this mostly internally. 

One thing that very often causes some sort of conflict in shows/movies and also real life is family members/friends reacting to a certain situation in very different ways but not understanding/accepting that not everyone deals with the same situation in the same way that you are. Which is why this conversation between Omega and Tech was extremely meaningful to me. Because Omega did learn this now. It goes over the fact that we get a better look at Techs character, it is also a very valuable life lesson for Omega.

Part 62 sneak peek: Two birds, One stone (Two Secrets, One Gun)

The hospital room isn’t big enough for all of you let alone when more staff enters the room along with someone who Namjoon must know, because she instantly starts listing off different medical jargon and refers to him by name.

One moment you’re standing in the doorway and then the next you’re pressed to the wall between Tae, Jimin, and Hobi. Tae opens the door and geastures.

You step out, because it’s surely more important that Namjoon Jin and Yoongi get at Jungkook right now even if your heart clenches painfully at leaving jungkook.

Jimin is still vibrating out of his skin but Tae tugs him in for a hug in the hallway. You don’t realize you’ve been holding your breath until you watch him hug her back. but Jungkook was Tae and Jimin’s packmate first. It’s no wonder that this has shocked them both closer, their fight forgotten.

Or mostly forgotten, You watch as Jimin wraps his arms around her slowly, like he's not sure he's allowed.

Hobi jogs you out of your staring, turning your face towards his and, looking intently. You forget what he’s looking at until his fingers skim your chin and you feel pain. You drag your arm across it and it leave a small rusty trail on the sleve of tae's jacket, just another stain on it.

Oh, you forgot that happened during the blast, you'd almost forgotten.

“Yeah- junk food isn’t exactly the most nutritious.” you stumble, stepping close, swaying suddenly on your feet. Hobi catches you around the shoulders and for a second, you must look like the mirror image of Tae and Jimin.

Hobi's scent smarts with worry. and he pushes you back, making you sit down. “They can live with it, she deserves a special treat. I’m getting you a bandaid.” Tae looks like she wants to argue with Hobi, then doesn’t.

Hobi gets skittles and peanut eminem’s and two bags of funyunions. the coloful packages are scattered across your laps as he tilts your head to put the Band-Aid on your chin (gotten from a helpful nurse). I think Crosshair would be hesitant and nervous, hiding it under a smooth, smug exterior.

His feelings for you have grown beyond being platonic, and it scares him.

When you admit your feelings to him, his reaction is so blasé that you walk away to sit in the cabin of the Marauder with Tech and Echo.

After a day of ignoring each other, he finally approaches you while you're alone in your bunk to confess his feelings and give an ultra-rare apology.

He struggles with giving you verbal forms of affection at first. But as time goes on, and you tell him what you need and like to hear, he gets better.

Whispering soft praise in your ear after making a clean shot, calling you "doll" and "sweet one", making sure to tell you he appreciates you when you bring him food, water, or grease for his rifle...

"Where would I be without you, my sweet one?"

He's very possessive in public. A part of his body is always touching you--holding your hand, a hand around your waist, a grabbing your thigh when you're both sitting down...he needs the galaxy to know you are his and his only.

He makes sure to say that in your ear each time you're intimate in any way together. Growling it while kissing or having sex, whispering it when you're the little spoon...

Echo x You

Echo has a hard time believing you have romantic feelings for him. He immediately tells you he feels the same, but also expresses his disbelief.

You know it stems from trauma and body dysmorphia, so you make sure to remind him every single day how handsome you find him, how amazing and sweet he is.

Of course Echo does the same! He isn't afraid to call you "sweetheart" or compliment you in front of the rest of The Batch.

He's a sweet, caring partner, always thinking of you. Sometimes, on missions, he'll surprise you with a random gift--one time it was a flower, another time it was a wood carving from local.

At first, he doesn't want to cuddle, preferring to only hold hands, sit side by side with your legs strewn over his lap. You ask if it's because of the way he sees himself, and he nods.

The day that he finally slips into your bunk, nesting his body behind yours, his chest to your back, you grin. Your sweet Echo finally trusts you completely.

And once he does, he is yours entirely--even more than he already was.

He constantly has you in his sight and checks on you if you need to do work in the hull while he's needed in the cabin with Tech. Before he walks away, he always presses a kiss to your forehead and caresses your cheek with his hand.

Hunter x You

He'd be the one confessing his feelings first. Even if you didn't feel the same, at least it'd be off his chest.

When you admit you feel the same, he grins and pulls you into a hug, repeating your name and then pulling back to kiss you.

One time, he tells you to stay on the Marauder with Omega, wanting to keep you safe. When you--and stubborn little Omega--refuse to stay behind, he caves (and never tries again). He can't say no to his girls.

Hunter is a protector through and through, always thoroughly checking you after a mission, almost never leaving your side if you're sick, reminding you to eat and drink if he noticed you hadn't.

He may not make his feelings for you blatantly known like Echo does, but The Batch can see the way he softens talking to or about you, a gentle smile teasing the corner of his mouth.

In private, he will be loving on you nonstop. Spooning in your bunk, gently caressing your body, calling you "baby", "my love," and more.

"I'm always here for you, baby, no matter what."

At a random cantina during a mission, a random stranger walked up to you and started flirting with you, and when Hunter noticed, he saw red.

He came up behind you and pulled you against him, and scared off the person with a threatening glare. Hunter was possessive in his own way, and it can definitely lead to more afterwards...

Tech x You

You knew Tech struggled to pick up on hints and subtlety, so you asked to speak with him one day in the cabin and told him how you felt in a blunt, to-the-point way.

He was entirely blindsided, and actually put down the project he was working on. You saw a gentle blush on his cheeks as he admitted he felt the same, and had for a while.

Tech has some anxiety about being in a relationship. He explains to you that his struggle with showing affection in conventional ways is a feature of his autism, apologizing as he does.

You shush it away and embrace him, telling him you know how much he adores you and that you adore him entirely.

You and The Batch can see it in the way he looks at you, talks about you , and how he always invites you to the cabin if he's working there just so he can be close to you.

After that, he masks much less around you and starts to share his hidden area of interest--flora and fauna!

He calls you his "precious flower" one day when you're both sitting in the cabin and you give him a kiss.

"You're my precious flower, forever."

Tech slowly becomes more and more addicted to your touch--joining you in your bunk for cuddles, winding down with gentle kisses and his hands on your cheeks--and you can't get enough of his, either.

Wrecker x You

Like Tech, I think he'd be surprised when you tell him how you feel, but absolutely overjoyed upon hearing it.

He'd always been helpful, but now it was almost overwhelming. He refused to let you move heavy crates even if you insisted you could handle it, and would snatch things off shelves for you even if you were about to grab it.

Wrecker adores how gentle you are, carefully tending to his injuries with soft hands. He always made sure to give your palms a kiss before planting one on your lips--his own way of saying "thank you."

He is a HUGE cuddler. Wrecker insists on you sleeping with him, claiming it's for your protection. The truth is, he selfishly loves the way you curl up and look so small next to him.

On the Marauder, he's careful not to be overly sappy in front of the rest of The Batch, unlike Echo. In private, though, he'll hold you close and compliment you endlessly.

Wrecker calls you his "star," saying it's because you light up his life even when things get dark.

When you tell him that you like the size difference between you two, he bites his lip and sweeps you into his arms and into his bunk.

"You're so incredible, my bright and beautiful star."

Whenever you're uncomfortable or feeling off, Wrecker is instantly by your side and refuses to leave. He'll always do whatever he can to help, whether it's making you laugh or lulling you to sleep.

Red Flags (Crosshair x Reader)

Premise: …If Lucasfilm really is taking the Fanboys’ Way Out (FWO) and un-aliving everybody, this can be canon instead. In any case, this is the official sequel to Understanding, and I'm going to do my best to see it through to a somewhat less abrupt end.

Story Notes/Warnings: All right, Lucasfilm...*sigh* ...Since you've more or less told me with your whole chest that Crosshair is perfectly healthy despite a lump in his head; visual sensitivity to light; growing hand tremors and an inability to shoot, so the only treatment he really needs is the Morality 101 class rather than going straight to emergency care...

...And that AZI-3 is now needed for absolutely nothing regarding the Clone Troopers in general, since Captain Rex totally overreacted about how dangerous the inhibitor chips were and probably even Wrecker would have just grown out of it after an hour...this is now classified as a Canon Divergent/No Retconning AU, because as an autistic woman, it's easier for me to function when the rules don't keep getting rewritten and I'm able to finish what I start in peace.

Warnings: ...Basically all of Crosshair's health issues in the whole series, because why leave so much as a single stone unturned?

🍽 not only does Crosshair's hand shake something terrible, but whatever first taste he hoped to get today spills out onto the table long before he can even bring it to his mouth.

🍽 he answers this accident with a very loud curse word, a thing you would normally hear in the shipyards beyond your house, but not so much in the town.

🍽 nevertheless, as you see him grip at his forehead and wince, you're quick to offer him a napkin, as you know for a fact that you'd hate to be embarrassed in front of strangers, too.

🍽 whatever it takes to get this one calmed down.

🍽 thankfully, you're also not the only one paying attention here, because Omega wastes no time in coming over to assist. Meaning, at least in this situation, she's able to steady his hand just enough to get more than one spoonful into him. (Thank the Force.)

🍽 once he's calmed himself down a bit more, those tremors also lessen enough to allow himself to finish eating on his own. This allows Omega to go back and eat as well, especially with Crosshair insisting that no, he doesn't need her to be his nursery droid, please take care of yourself, too.

🍽 as you remind them in your most gentle tone possible, however...you have questions. Questions about where they came from, what they were doing before their escape, and who exactly might notice that they're missing.

🍽 Omega does most of the talking for this stage, though not without a hint of bitterness in her voice when she mentions the name Hemlock. According to her, as you are careful to not let yourself forget, it's almost a certainty that he's responsible for her brother's new 'condition', if not also the literal suffering of hundreds back in the place they call Tantiss.

🍽 at this same time, you hear her continue, he and a few of his former patients might also be the ones that come calling if you all don't leave soon. She mentions an island called Pabu, though she confesses to not knowing the name of the planet it's on. No matter what, though, they'll be trying to track her down and you need to leave soon.

🍽 we will, you're careful to promise her, not wanting to delay any action that could keep the three of you out of harm's way, but you still have a few more questions to ask.

🍽 first, why did the two of you get separated from the others in the first place?

🍽 and second...why does your brother keep gripping his head like that?

🍽 it's only after you ask this final question that Crosshair finally speaks up, the weight of a thousand crimes evident in his brief, three-word answer.

I redid a piece of art I did last year: it had so many sloppy errors in it, but I loved the subject matter and the composition. Back to the drawing board.

That subject matter? Post-Far Past the Ring. Omega’s been named as a page for President Camina Drummer and Tech is Chief Systems Engineer for the Transport Union. They’re wearing their respective uniforms.

welcome to the twenty-first fic rec friday! where, on friday, i rec five of my favourite fics.

1. Most Artists are Messy by @shipsgalore

Lance is drawing a complicated flower on the base of Keith’s wrist and it makes his lips pull up into a smile despite the panic. They’re always flowers when it comes to Lance. He uses them in everything he does, and usually doesn’t even know he’s doing it. Keith can count on one hand how many times the doodles on his arms haven’t been of flowers.

i love this one because keith & lance are just blatantly and clearly autistic. it’s wonderful. it’s sweet and fluffy and it’s a modern au, which as y’all know is my jam, and the last few paragraphs do this specific thing with sentiment repetition that genuinely gets to me every time

2. Be Alive With Me Tonight by @caesaria [EXPLICIT] [ABO]

When the Blade of Marmora requests assistance on an information gathering mission, Lance and Keith go undercover as a bonded alpha and omega pair. At first, it seems like this is going to be more like a vacation than a mission – right up until everything falls apart and they realize how unprepared they really are. Now, Lance and Keith have to fight to not only survive, but to make it out together. They’ll have to rely not only on their skills as Paladin, but the bond they’ve created and nurtured between them.

okay i gave this one the explicit warning bc there are chapters that are explicit, but tbh the scenes are skippable if that’s not ur thing. now this fic is an EPIC. truly. its a quarter million words and the plot is breathtaking, the worldbuilding is iconic and the romance is like HOLY SHIT. this is a novel, and better yet its a KLANCE novel, so. highly recommend if you have a day or two to read.

Lance is always getting flowers for Keith, so Keith decides to return the favor--with a little help, of course.

keith is hilarious here. just in general but here especially and i love him. he wants to pamper lance so so badly and hes so straightforward and earnest!! and allura’s character in here is also excellent. i will leave u with this one line from the fic that made me laugh it loud: “ The next day, the sun rises to Keith Kogane, dressed all in black (that’s all that was clean, okay?!), loitering around in front of Alluring Blossom, the 5-star-rated “I’ve never had such a delightful bouquet delivered to me in my entire life!” flower shop of a woman named Allura Altea. Keith automatically trusted her because he loves people that also have alliteration in their names. “ king. love him

Keith watched a lonely droplet of water fall from Lance’s soaked bangs, curving a path over the bridge of his nose and then pooling—almost teasingly so—at the bow of his lips.

what have i told yall about fics from 2016!!! this fic made me SMILE and im not usually a fan of like senior year of high school fics but holy shit!! holy SHIT!! this fic had me smiling and kicking my feet and losing my mind. i will leave u with the note i put on my bookmark (spoiler warning):

“It’s … Your show is on so late at night,” Keith tries to explain, as if Lance didn’t know this already. “I guess I was just wondering why that is.”

A crackling silence answers him, and Keith’s stomach sinks. Did Lance hang up? Keith can’t exactly blame him.

But then he hears Lance make a noise––a short huff of breath that might have been either an impatient sigh or a quiet laugh … Keith has no clue.

“That’s the reason you’re calling? To complain about my time slot?”

or, Keith starts anonymously calling Lance's college radio show and develops an unexpected crush.

@catnippackets did a comic of this i believe, and it literally never leaves my head. yall know the trope where one person gets a phone call and halfway through they sigh wistfully and say “god i wish you were here” and then the other person smiles so viscerally it can be felt through the phone and they say “look behind you” and theyre THERE?????? that makes me lose it every time. i love this fic

You honestly do not understand how much I love Omegaverse, 🧋. Me and a certain someone (you know who you are but luckily I will not tag you) talk about Omegaverse COD a lot to the point we have our own little AU of them and joke about Omega! Makarov and his breeding kink

Luckily for you and others I will be posting more Omegaverse content as I just love it

At the moment I have got three asks which I am trying to finish as I have been sick and finally have the time to finish them. The first is about Alpha!Reader finding out about Omega!Makarov being pregnant and how excited he is. The second is about Omega!Makarov and his breeding kink with all the insane shit it makes him do. And the third was an ask about Omega!Makarov using his pheromones to keep his Alpha going and I hope the asker is okay with me writing about Omega!Makarov and an Alpha!OC of mine because I read it and immediately thought about something for the two of them especially because I love an overstimulated and submissive Alpha

I am also writing something to celebrate having a 100 followers even if it is a bit late, alongside a very big and long project. It is a post that will have an Omegaverse headcanon for many, many COD characters 

I will be honest when I say you can spam my inbox with anything -especially Omegaverse asks or headcanons because they fuel my day-

It can be general things, like just chatting or asking random things or asking about my AUs or characters in different scenarios, or (my absolute favourite thing) sending in things relating to the Omegaverse. Specific ideas for specific characters and what they would be like in the Omegaverse or just ideas for the Omegaverse as I have so many ideas for it and how it can work

I will write about virtually any character in COD but I prefer MW and the operators from the multiplayer as I know about them more. Old or the Reboot, it does not really matter to me. Although, I do have a preference for Makarov (which is quite obvious), König (again very obvious), Price, Nikto, Nikolai, Captain MacMillan, Captain MacTavish, and Andrei which I know is basic but I have a type 

This is because of a certain someone specifically but I will also write for characters who are not in the COD but have been played by an actor in COD. It will be as if that character is in COD and related to different COD characters. You may have seen others do this but examples are Joe Graves from Six, Sergei from Berlin Station, Xavier from NCIS, etc. 

Also, I have some COD OCs (15 to be precise for the moment, but it also can technically be counting as 16 due to one certain thing) that I do not mind writing about especially for Omegaverse as I have too many ideas. But, like for the above, I will only write about them or answer questions if specifically asked 

All I need is for anyone sending in an ask to be very specific as I am quite dense due to being Autistic and I may not get it or misunderstand if it is not directly said what is wanted, I apologise for that. Just send asks in so I know what people want
