OK so I have a headcanon about Bloodmoon's fear of mannequins

So we know both side of bloodmoon don't like mannequins and probably dolls to some extent

And we also know that they don't like being told what to do and more importantly to the headcanon being controlled

So like what if this fear has manifested into being turned into a mannequin or doll too

Like nightmares that they're in a forest at night getting hunted down by mannequins and getting turned into one

Researching a phobia of mine (Automatonophobia) is interesting because it’s actually not as rare a phobia as I thought, there’s plenty of articles and medical stuff on it if you look on Google

One thing that I’m still scratching my head over is where it came from for me. People can sometimes think back to movies like the Terminator (which did scare me as a kid obviously, but I don’t think that was the trigger)

But for me I don’t have an isolated incident that I can recall. I struggled with emetophobia all my life and within the past 5 years overcame lots of it with exposure therapy in a professional setting over the course of about a year. I can isolate that to starting with my stepdad getting sick really loudly and waking me up in the middle of the night and instilling a lot of fear and repulsion of that consistently happening (he was an alcoholic with acid reflux, bad combo) when I was around 6

But this? I’m not sure. Maybe I saw a movie? Maybe I felt like a mannequin moved in a department store? Maybe it’s related to my already existing dpdr, so anything that makes me doubt reality or feel unsettled and insecure of people being “real” might develop that, but for me it’s really specifically mannequins and androids/robots. Dolls don’t really freak me out too much and wax figures I’d probably only hate if left alone with them at night

I wonder what was the igniting factor for me being scared of this all my life though! I’d like to know other people with this fear to see how they cope and think about it if it was safe to discuss
