I can't give you clubbing, I don' t care for crowds and paying a lot of money for alcohol and door fees and taxis. That's just not my vibe.

However... here's what I can give you.

On one of those sunny-but-crisp afternoons we get in early autumn, I can help you pick out a new fall dessert recipe, like vegan apple pies.

And I can pick you up and we'll go to a little farm on the outskirts of town and pick up some freshly harvested apples, and maybe say hello to the cows and goats grazing in their pastures nearby. Maybe we'll pick out a bouquet of sunflowers too!

And you can come over to my place and we can work together to make our dessert, and laugh over the stray bits of flour we get on our clothes and fill the house with the smell of cinnamon and brown sugar and diced apples!

And while our pies are in the oven we can crack open a bottle of really good rose' and watch a cozy fall movie like When Harry Met Sally, and maybe open the back porch door to let the cool breeze in. That would make it the perfect temperature for a pile of blankets on the couch!

And then once our pies are done and cooled we might realize that the crust is a little wonky. Oh well! We can spoon it over vanilla ice cream and call it crumble!

And then maybe we can have proper dinner, like some easy pasta and watch another movie together, like Clue or Haunted Mansion. And before you know it, the sun is down, the dishes are washed, and we'll realize the wine bottle is empty in that way it gets when time flies between friends.

I can't give you clubs and parties, but I can give you this!

I was looking up Cozy Fall or Autumnal movies the other day to see if there were any I wanted to add to our collection at home and the lists I found were interesting... The first list which I believe was from Glamour magazine (I just used my search engine and chose which lists to look at from that), and on that list were movies like When Harry Met Sally (yeah okay I can see that). Then they had Good Will Hunting, and Dead Poet's Society - and I was like mmm not really the vibe I'm going for but okay I can see how that could be cozy fall movies for some. Then I went to another list from IMDB and the first movie listed was Sweeney Todd.

HOW IN HOLY HELL FUCK is Sweeney Todd a COZY Fall movie???

So if you have any recommendations for cozy fall movies I'd love to hear them! Thanks!

I’ll kick start my study(ish) blog with a not so study related post. But I’ve been back in uni for a week and I’m already exhausted. Classes are back in person and that is great, but it also mean that I now have to very quickly readjust to a faster paced, much busier pace for the first time since forever. I’m excited about this year, for my modules and for all the new experiences I’ll get.

Saturday was spent relaxing and recharging, catching up with a friend. Listening to music, buying some used vinyls just for the surprise of finding out what music is on them. With the start of October, I’m ready for the autumnal vibes to take over. Sweater weather and spooky season, here we go!

curious question: what does autville look like?

a curious question indeed!

it's a very foggy morning here in autville. the many trees are still holding onto their lush summer greenery, but they'll soon turn to the glorious golden colors of autumn!

I am sitting on the window perch inside one of the town's cozy stone cottages, which I call my home. my cottage is the perfect distance between the bustling town hall in the center square and the quiet orchards at the town's edge. the cottages in this neighborhood are close together to minimize those pesky lonely feelings...while still allowing for that sweet, sweet sense of ample personal space.

some autville residents live together in shared cottages, and some live more solitary lives, often in the company of (sometimes several!) animal companions. as I type this, my own cat is currently napping right in the middle of my bed. feline companions are plentiful in autville, perhaps because many of us believe that cats are pretty heckin autistic themselves...but that is a topic for a separate news bulletin.

however we choose to spend our days as individuals, we as town residents of autville frequently gather for community events like our weekly same foods feasts at the pavilion (I usually bring macaroni and cheese!) and special interest roundtables at the town hall, during which we take turns sharing wondrous fun facts about whatever we're interested in.

autville does not exist in isolation, of course. there are plenty of accessible modes of transit into the nearby hustle and bustle of all those more neurotypical realms, if that's your thing!

...it's not really my thing, though. I prefer to spend my free time researching disability studies at the endless library, perusing rotating exhibitions at the museum of special interests, or lounging about and stimming freely in the meadows...weather permitting, of course.

anyway, I thank you for this question, dear reader! cartography isn't one of my special interests, but I'm sure I can find a friend in town to create an official map of autville...
