An Ode To Autumn
An Ode To Autumn
There's a kind of mystery about autumn, What with her divaesque ways, Carpet of shriveled leaves under her feet, And a crown of sunlit days. Dew drops settle over the swaying meadows, Tickling the grazing ewes, Even the weeping willows smile, As the wind ruffles their golden leaves. Come, build your nest, O' hummingbird, Take a twig or two, Don't forget the food you've squirreled away, Winter's…

It was the end of summer.
The sleepy sun gave way into the obscere moon as she wrapped herself up in golden wheat sweaters.
The wind had become a howling wolf in the distance, sending a shiver up the near by spines of focused tree's.
And as the trees shook it's leaves collided into a downward dancing spiral.
The sky looming over head, had spilled alittle too much red wine over its canvas, reminding the world of the bitter sweet existance of fall.
And as if that wasn't enough of a sign that she was on her way, the days leading up to our sweet Autumns divine was sang about by crows.
Humanity, then begans pulling out their chilly weather clothes.
Tea cups turn to coffee pots and morning cereal gets replaced by something hot.
The entire world knows whats coming.
As saddness for a old chapter to end, the exitement for what we can't comprehend takes over.
And in the blue freightening night, we pick up a candle to hold tight and tell summer we'll see her soon again.

When I looked out this morning Autumn, I knew, was nigh. The mist, the hills adorning, The racing clouds on high. Let our world have resting time, Let nature fallow lie, So living things can rest sublime, Now that autumn’s nigh. Autumn Love
You seemed warm but you were cold. Of course that fact changes depending on who you ask. Some people can find you dark, cold, strange, unfriendly they even get depressed around you but there is a bunch of people whose smile rises up every time they hear your name, if they start talking about you they would never stop, for them you are warm, beautiful, you make everything feel right, you are their home. And when I asked them what makes you that special everyone answered things like your whispers, voice, smell, the orange and red hues of your hair but there is one specific person who said that what really makes you perfect is the fact that you never stay, you are always here and there traveling from one place to another, but never long forever. You stay for a while and then you leave, thats what makes them to want you even more and they are always so impatient for you to come back.Every time you came around, you kill but you do it so another can live, thats why when I first really met you, the thought that bumped into my head was “You´re cold but yet, so warm”.

Otoño
Your trees begin to sway,
bringing your cold touch,
Our spirits walk along
these many lonely roads.
Rest is up ahead.
You say its home.
Where you serve me,
Hot Chocolate. Pan Dulce.
So warm, I feel it
In my toes. So sweet,
You lick your fingers.
Todos caemos.
Our leaves turn to gold,
Yellow, red, then old.
Crispy and Crunchy,
Strange feet turn you
Into dust
We all fall at some point,
The floor is who I trust.
There is a question, I
Tend to think of
When I’m looking up at
You, tree.
What color am I this fall?
How old was I when I was green?

Autumn hue
It's recently become autumn where I am
I realized when I finally looked up from my exam
The leaves have changed to vibrant hues
Orange and yellow hillsides of an artists muse
I've found myself picking up leaves when I walk
Some fresh and some fragile as chalk
My infatuation stems from their tree
Where they were once rooted until set free
Falling from where they were made, onto an unforgiving ground
Waiting on the pavement expecting to never again be found
Yet, when they fall
Though they no longer stand tall
They've fallen because they've grown
Though, their home threw them out into the unknown
What they don't see is they're at their best
To this I can attest
Their colors have changed
Oranges and yellows rearranged
With dots of green floating away
Although some parts of them may stay
Their true colors show
Stemming into veins that glow
Just because these leaves have fallen from home
They're far from being monochrome
No longer blending in with everything they knew
These leaves I love for they found their real hue
