🎃 pumpkin: do you have any favorite brainstorming techniques? how do you like to gather ideas for your wip?

you and I share a brain cell, @marshmallows2345 and I also share a brain cell, but mostly--inspiration just strikes wherever and whenever. Sometimes I'll browse pinterest, sometimes I'll browse tumblr, but most often I just pull things from my brain. I'm the worst, and I usually will write my fics as soon as I get an idea--in one sitting, nonetheless, oops.

👻 ghost: can you tease some wip ideas that have been haunting you/something you want to write in the future?

LOTS of reader inserts, a linstead piece in which jay goes to new york after voight dies to inform erin of the news and subsequently falls for her all over again, a rhekker piece in which connor goes comatose after ava performs a successful operation after he has a heart attack, told through hospital room conversations, and then i have so many ideas for things i want to write with sarah... and burzek... I want to give burzek a chaotic honeymoon borderline crack fic in which trudy crashes the honeymoon, but kim and adam keep thinking they're hallucinating her when she shows up in the background of everything

"Jay," Erin murmurs. "You're stealing the blanket. Again."

Jay smiles, pressing a kiss to Erin's forehead.

"And you, Babe, steal all of my sweatshirts. Let's call it even."

Erin rolls her eyes, but he's right. Really, she's just happy to be in his arms, snuggled close as the rain crashes down outside their windows, warm apple cider in hand as they watch Halloween town. It's tradition, Jay insists. He's a firm believer in tradition, and Erin is just happy that he wants to include her, and build traditions to last.

It's foreign, but she's building a life with Jay--because she wants to, and it's terrifying, but somehow, she can't bring herself to mind.

Especially not when she looks over at Jay, freckles spattered across his face like a miniature constellation, eyes brimming with the purest love she's ever known.

Perhaps, just perhaps, sharing your soul isn't such a bad thing after all.
