The Cloud Report Promo Poster by Vesa Lehtimäki Via Flickr: How about a poster to promote the photograph from yesterday? I found the idea silly enough to put one together. I googled the word "Gundam" in Katakana, I hope I got it right. I really do not know this stuff, I simply love how it looks.

By Your Alternate Command by Avanaut Variations of a photograph. I sometimes do more than one version of an image when trying to figure out what works. With this particular one I think it ended up a tie. This, of course, is the Cylon Raider from the 1978 Battlestar Galactica tv-series. It's an old model, an original Monogram issue, I built it quite young and it's probably best photographed from a distance to keep the illusion intact. It has been in a cardboard box for decades, never really photographed it properly. I tried to capture the filght dynamics of that thing, they had a very distinct character in flight. Also the engine glow was really bright, but since this is an old model and no electronics built in, I had to Photoshop the glow in. I never do that but for this I thought an exception was justified. https://flic.kr/p/2nVSU4b

Tantive IV Lego Poster by Vesa Lehtimäki The Tantive IV deserves a spot on my Lego Star Wars spaceship poster series. It is such a no brainer that it didn’t occur to me until yesterday. The previous all new poster, the U-wing, is from almost two years ago. So, this was a long overdue new entry. I tried to avoid the Tatooine twin suns because I had already used them with the Millennium Falcon poster, but there was no way around it. It just had to be. I made the sun layout a little different to make some distance between the two.

The Teddy Bears' Picnic by Vesa Lehtimäki Via Flickr: I like walking in the woods, especially when it's foggy. You see the woods in a different... light when it's foggy.

The Timely Visitor by Avanaut https://flic.kr/p/2hKcGg5 I mean, I've had these images on my computer hard drive and I got this peculiar feeling about them. I went through the archive and what do you know, I found this! It's from January 2016 and I don't recall seeing that thing sitting there when I took it. The question is, is this photograph from a different timeline in which that pod was there? When I took it, it wasn't there but now that it keeps showing up, it does it in images taken before it appeared? Is that thing able to travel through time and space? What is this? This really is from January 2016, I didn't change the date and it has no special meaning, I just gave an old photo a go with the Discovery EVA pod and it worked nicely. We don't have snow at the moment, it actually is quite warm up here, but the snow will come – eventually.

Lego U-wing Starfighter Poster
flickr
Lego U-wing Starfighter Poster by Vesa Lehtimäki The U-wing is another great new spaceship design from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. I like it a lot, especially the interior, which I think is one of the best spaceship interiors in the whole franchise. If you take a closer look at it, the amount of detail and the brilliant weathering makes it look as real as any interior can be. Real or fictional. Set design and decoration at its best. It's brilliant! The Lego iteration of the U-wing is neat, the folding wings are a bit short, I guess, but otherwise it's really nice. For this poster I enhanced the folding wings by having them represented partially in graphics only. This is number nine in my ongoing series of Lego Star Wars spaceship posters.
