Imagine you and Natasha training
You trained alone in the base training room. You hit a punching bag trying to relax but it didn't work. Today you missed the opportunity to go on a mission with Thor, Captain America and Tony. You wanted to go on a mission for a very long time, you wanted to prove to them that you are a talented fighter just like Natasha, but Nick Fury refused, on the grounds that you are not ready yet. You kept hitting this bag until a familiar voice caught your eye.
"Hmm, I wonder what that bag did to you to deserve such blows," Natasha said from behind you.
"Nothing," he said quickly, continuing to strike. Why are you here ? You shouldn't be with the them in Japan, saving who knows what city.
"I turned down the mission," Nat said.
- Why would you do this ? , you stopped abruptly and turned to her.
"Because I know how important this mission was to you, and how you were turned down, I thought I'd stay here with you and train you a little ." So, what do you say ? If I win you wash the dishes for a week, and if you win you get a surprise prize.
"Are you challenge me, Romanoff?" , you smiled as you approached her.
- Maybe, so you accept?
- Be ready to lose.
The fight was intense, you tried countless times to bring it down, but it always blocked your movements or avoided them. Her fighting style was different from yours, but after a few minutes you adapted the same way she did when you used your own fighting style. You were on the same level, none of you wanted to give up, but you decided to use the secret movement that Yelena had taught you a few weeks ago. Movement that caught Natasha. Now you were sitting on the floor, smiling.
"I won," you said happily
- That was Yelena's move, nice fight.
- Thank you, your moves are amazing . Now what is my prize ?
With a single movement Nat was now above you, and you couldn't say anything because your lips had met hers forming a kiss full of passion and desire. You both fought for a while , for supremacy but in the end she win . Now Nat is whispering something in your ear, something that made you very happy.

Thunder&Mischief: Valentine
A/N: I totally flaked on valentine’s day!! Sorry!!! This is more of a story than a chat message, but I didn’t know how to bring it across otherwise. Hope you enjoy :)
You loved to celebrate valentine’s day. Even though, you knew it was more of a corporate holiday than a ‘real one’. You thought it was worth it to grab every chance you were given, to spend time with Loki and celebrate your relationship. And Loki loved to plan suprises for you. You couldn’t wait what he had in store this year. Truth be told, you needed it this year. Your work had been crazy for the last few weeks, leaving not much free time. And if you had free time, you usually fell asleep on the couch.
Loki was busy as well, helping Thor with Asgardian/Avangers stuff. Besides, one of the kittens got an eye infection a week before Valentine’s day. The two of had to give Thunder eyedrops, twice a day for a week. Meaning, you had to schedule your whole life around it. Which you gladly did, but it was difficult sometimes.
The day before Valentine’s day, your present for Loki arrived. You had two knives engraved. One with both your names and the date of your relationship, and the other one with the name’s of the kittens and the date that Loki had rescued them. You wrapped the gift yourself and put a photo of the four of you together on top of it. On the back you wrote that you loved him.
Unfortunately, the two of you weren’t together on the morning of Valentine’s day. You cut your work short today, and headed home earlier. Eager to start spending time together. Walking through the door, you saw Loki applying the eyedrops to Thunder, which was quite the struggle. When he finally had succeeded the kittens ran away from him. You walked towards him, and before he could react you sat down on his lap and kissed him deeply. He looked suprised, but didn’t argue.
‘For you’ you said, while handed him the present. You couldn’t wait anymore, you wanted to see the look on his face.
Loki took the gift from you and looked confused. ‘I appreciate the gesture, but why did you get me something?’ he asked.
You just laughed. ‘I always get you something on valentine’s day, because you are the one who always plans it’
That’s when Loki’s face turned into pure horror. You playfully slapped his shoulder, thinking he was teasing you. But when you saw the tears forming in his eyes, you knew he wasn’t. ‘Darling, I’m so sorry! I totally forgot!’ he said.
Those words started a huge fight. With Loki accusing you of working too much and you accusing him for always putting the kittens above you. Eventually, the two of you lost track of what you were initially fighting over and things spiralled out of control. It ended with you going to the bedroom, crying. And Loki sleeping on the couch. Even the kittens split up. Mischief crawled into your arms, and slept with you, while Thunder was laying next to Loki on the couch.
The next day, Loki was already gone when you woke up. You cuddled some more with the kittens, fed them and got to work. After a long day, you walked back into the appartment. Loki still was nowhere to be seen. You went looking for the kittens, but couldn’t find them. You were starting to panic. Suddenly, two hands rested on your temples from behind. ‘Do you trust me?’ Loki whispered in your ear. When you nodded you felt the warm feeling of his sleeping spell wash over you.
When you woke up, you weren’t in your appartment anymore. You were in a large bed, with very thick blankets. There was a glass door and a few windows nex to it, across from the bed. It was light, and you knew you had been out all night. It was also snowing.
You got out of the bed and started to explore the cabin you were in. You eventually found Loki in the living room, playing with the kittens by the fire. When he saw you he immediately got up and rushed towards you.
‘Where are we?’ you asked.
‘Norway’ he answered. ‘Darling, I’m such an idiot! i shouldn’t have forgotten and I certainly shouldn’t have gotten mad at you. I have rented the cabin for the week, already cleared it with your boss. Don’t worry about that. I have all sort of things planned this week, and I will do my best to make it up to you. Please, please forgive me’ he begged before you could ask any further.
‘You did all that for me?’ you asked
‘Of course I did! You deserve it, especially after I opened your present. Love, it was perfect’ he said. Before he could rant on you kissed him. When you broke the kiss, you saw Loki smiling brightly.
The two of you snuggled in front of the fire, played with the kittens until they were tired and fell asleep on top of the two of you. Loki started to take you trough most of the plans for that week, but not everything. Some things he wanted to keep a suprise.
‘How are we going to do all that and take care of them?’ you asked, while you petted the head of Thunder.
‘Thor will fly over and will take them with him for the rest of the week. This week is just us’ Loki said.
‘And you are okay with being away from them for such a long time?’ you asked. Knowing how much it meant to Loki to be close to them.
‘I am. Besides Thor will call me twice a day with an extensive update, will send at least 3 pictures and 1 video of them each day. Or I have made him very aware of the consequences’ he said.
You cuddled closer against him. Feeling a bit sorry for Thor, but glad that Loki did that for you. When Thor came to get them the next day, Loki was still in the bathroom. He was quickly rushing, because he had some more instructions to give to Thor about the kittens. But before he could reach you and Thor, you already had made a deal that Thor would bring the kittens back for the last two days you were with Loki in the cabin. Knowing that the suprise would mean the world to him.

Vladbruarie day 26
ziua 26: viata de familie (family life) || incursiuni la sud de Dunăre; cetatea Giurgiu (incursions south of Danube; Giurgiu fortress)
💫 headcanons 💫
historical-fiction style
Vlad's a mama's boy
as Mircea got most of their father attention as the most probable heir (the romanian leaders choose from their sons the one they thought it's the most suitable to rule instead of letting the oldest get the reigns), Vlad got close to their mom
which is why, after she died when the kids were still young, Vlad got closer to Radu, the small toddler he was so used to help their mom with
it doesn't mean the boys didn't all spent time together, searching comfort in each other, but most of all in their father
who tried his best to be the parent his kids deserved
but then, he had to sent Vlad and Radu to the Empire, the hardest thing he ever did
Radu, at 3 (or 5, historians aren't sure), didn't understand much of what was happening, but Vlad (who'd want to learn everything Mircea is learning from their father) was a bit more aware
in his younger siblings absense, Mircea became sloppy, thinking about them, all alone at the enemy court
he was slower in his lessons, mind more often than not slipping away in deep thought during a meeting, trying with young hope to find a way to bring his brothers back
their father would act as if it didn't happen, as if he had only one son all along, not wanting to accept the fact he allowed Vlad and Radu to be taken from him, thus dissappointing his late wife
they were both killed by greedy boyars
meanwhile, Vlad grew more and more bitter, hiding it all too well and noting any weak point, gathering any information, he could
he allowed himself to learn from the enemy, while angry tears would lull him to sleep every night
angry for losing so much of his family in such a short while, angry that Radu seemed to enjoy himself, as if he forgot their true home, their true blood
but what was a 3 (5?) years old to do? could he have been any different? his brother was telling him one day they'll live that court behind and roam their lands again, but that day never came and Radu couldn't find it in himself to feel as strongly for a place he barely remembers as his brother
tw: attempted sa on a minor
it was years later, when Vlad would soon leave the Empire to avange his brother and father and reclaim his birthright to rule, when his little brother would be touched unproperly by the Sultan
how could he leave Radu alone after that? but how could he abandon his people?
end tw
the choice wasn't even a choice as the future leader of Valahia rode the sunrise towards his throne
his relationship with Radu became cold after that day and Vlad fooled himself into believing his brother a traitor that he's better off not knowing anything about
as for Radu, he might have resented Vlad for leaving him behind, for not fitting in, for seeming so uncaring towards him, more than he'd care to admit
as voyevode, Vlad was married twice, the first time out of love, but when she jumped from the hights of the fortress to escape the ottomans that attaccked it, Vlad swore off love and married for political purpose
he tried to be a good father, for he loved his children ca pe ochii din cap
but his destiny didn't allow him such pleasantaries
always fighting off invadors, always on guard, having to sent the kids to a protected place as the boyars were out for blood again – his
he barely saw the kids, with all the on and off of his reign and the dangers his title held
but he still managed to be part of their lives
he'd visit, often, and take them on long rides, showing them the trees and rivers, bears and deers and wild flowers and bees hives – all blooming from Valahia, just as them
he'd tell them bedtime stories his mother used to tell him: of brave heroes and scary creatures, beautiful fairies and magical creatures
he'd play with them, with wooden swords and small bows with tiny arrows, they'd jump in freshly arranged hay and try to pass a stream of cold water without wetting their boots
and for a couple of hours, Vlad would feel like a normal man, a happy man, that didn't have the weight of a people in distress on his back
as a husband, he'd be shy, a long time has passed since he spoke with a valahia girl and he never actually courted (or was taught how to court) a woman
he'd be tender and loving and while he was the leader of his people, his first wife was deffientely his leader
when he realized he's actually in love with one of the women he was supposed to court, he didn't waste time on anyone else, stunned by the blessing that came his way
and when he lost her the way he did, that old wound the Emperor left in his heart, the only one that never scared, but rather was left open, dripping blood until it'd drain him, got deeper, spliting his heart in two
he respected the second wife, and held her in high regards, but they never shared the intimacy of his first marriage
but they became friends and confidants and it was enough to trust each other with their scarred hearts and tired minds (for she, as a noble woman, wasn't a stranger to pain)
Vlad would dream of his mother, father and Mircea as the days of his end were closing in
he'd hear his first wife, calling... or is she shouting warnings at him?
but her voice is too far, a painfully long time has passed since he last heard her that whatever she says, is a balm to his aching soul
when he dies, his last thoughts are of Radu and hid kids, praying with his last breath that they'd have a better life than he did

Random Fun Facts While My PC is Charging
[~*~] I literally have just ONE Oc who doesn't has a happy ending. I always feel a little bad about her and now I propably will think about a good end for this girl because she deserves. :3
(✒) It would be a very visual fic if wrote that, because it's gore. And that is exactly why I'm not writing XP.
(✒) It was to happen in the world of Magnus Chase (from Rick Riordan) but I guess it could work being original? :'3
[~*~] My very first OC was for a Naruto Fanfic. Her name is Mika and her power was summon clones but as part of her personality. It was crazy. I literally just remember about her today, like, five years after The Big Creation. Sivsjgsugsyfakba. I'm clearly an awesome mom.
(✒) She had chapter about her, though. This is rare between my OC's (poor babys :'3 I'm sorrey).
[~*~] I have a OC called Times and he is, like, an humanization of references about all the fandoms I was at that time. I used to talk with him to calm myself. He is very cute and logic. -w-)b
(✒) The fandom was: Sherlock Holmes, FullMetal Alchemist, Undertale, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Percy Jackson.
[~*~] My first OC (COF COF which I didn't ignore the existence and REALLY elaborate a decent plot COF cof) is called Melissa and she has a spirit sharing her body with her. Non of them wanted that, though, and it just happened for a revenge prank. The storie happens in Percy Jackson.
(✒) The spirit is called Inner. It's pretty powerful, but doesn't can use her powers most of time because she doesn't have a body.
(✒) Melissa isn't really daughter of any god, but she can get in the Halfblood Camp because of Inner (and in the future she got some god's blood mixed with her own. Long short story: She almost died and Apollo is a little sorry for some prank [that will endure the rest of her life but that's okay :3] and try to do some good action.)
(✒) The godly blood unblocked some strange powers from Inner. They can talk with water, now! :D)/
(✒) Inner is not bad, is not very good, though.
[~*~] I like to created OC that could easly be just a secondary character. I find it cool.
[~*~] The OC who I am always desevolving the storie is Alex, who is like a psicologist for the characters of every fandom that I am. XD. She can travel to their universes and help them. However, she doesn't choose where, when or who she will help/find. And everytime she gets out from a Universe everyone forgets about her, just rembering when she is back. Even in her own. She also change gender nor apparence in some Universes. And when Alex really needs help, she travels too.
(✒) "But this means that, when she die, everyone will just forget about her?? Im every Universe??" Almost like that. In that case will not just 'forget' her existence will be ereased. She bought that power for this price.
(✒) About Alex, yup, she has a happy ending! (Happy as it can be) and in a quite... Ineffable way. ~
(✒) She already went to TMNT 2012 (But can't come back to there), Batman, Avangers, Transformers and Good Omens.
Okaaaay. The computer is full now. I will keep putting random facts here day by day. Most because I really don't want to forget about they and because is really fun remember all of this!!
Feel free to ask about them! I would love answer! ^w^)s2
\(-w-\)
(/-w-)/
\('w')/
Thank you very much for reading!!! Eat chocolate!! Yaaaay! Byeioo ~ ('u~)s2

i'm currently writing something old and new at the same time, one of my Avengers stories that got stuck and started all over again multiple times already, i counted at least six different approaches-- anyways, the part i'm working on right now would get so many trigger warnings if i was going to post it, it amazes me that i'm even able to write something like this
i'm drunk-writing, so i decided to share my thoughts, don't judge me. since it's not a new chapter of that "the road" series with Loki imma say i'm sorry, but i need to focus on something closer to my heart to feel better
i'm stopping the whining now, long story short, my oldest Avangers fic got really dark in the past two years because yesterday i counted a new trigger and that'd be teenager drugging another teenager
i'll see myself out
xoxo, Charlie

[[ Greater Moonsea Map by cuiilv. From the creator via Candlekeep:
Just want to share a map that I have been working on for a few years. It started out as a map of the Moonsea, the Ride and most of Vaasa in the early 1380s DR, but slowly grew to cover more and more land, until it included all of Damara, Impiltur, the Vast, the Dalelands, Sembia, Cormyr and large portions of Anauroch and the Great Glacier as well, before I finally forced myself to stop.
The map itself is very much inspired by Mike Schley's works, but I have tried to make it different enough to not be mistaken for the original.
All locations have been taken from official sourcebooks, magazines, articles, adventures, games, novels, short stories, and directly from designer (mostly Ed Greenwood and George Krashos here at Candlekeep). So everything should be canon (depending a bit on how inclusive your definition of canon is).
Note: This awesome map is HUGE and VERY DETAILED. It’s also thoroughly researched by the creator. I’m saving a copy of all the references they used, for the unlikely chance that this information will disappear from Candlekeep. ]]
cuiilv:
Here is a list of references for 1869 of the 1872 names that appear in the map. They are listed exactly as they appear on the map, so Kingdom of Impiltur is found under K, not I. All alternative/historical names are listed in a separate category with ( ) around the name, exactly they way they appear in the map. The reference is a reference (in some rare cases two references), not necessarily the best one.

Hopie Johnie ~ OTP Questions
OTP Questions source post
Which one drives the car and which one gives them directions?
John can take the sky, because Hope would crash and kill them instantly, but on the ground it’s both of them. Depends on where they are going. If it’s a short trip to the store or to a friend’s house it’s Hope that drives. But if they’re going to a trip somewhere John is the one to take the wheel. Either way they argue a lot about directions, both of them getting angry at each other “we should take a short cut there” “no, this way is better”
Which one spends all day running errands and which one says “You remembered [thing], right?”
They both run errands, having a planned out schedule. Like Hope: doing the grocery shopping, while John takes care of the mail. If one of them forgets something for example Hope didn’t buy milk or John didn’t pay the bills, they just go together and do it, it’s not a problem.
Who would wrap the other in a blanket when the other one has a bad day?
John is the one to do that. He makes her a cup of hot chocolate, grabs a bunch of blankets and readies her a hot bath. While the bath is filled he wraps her up in the blankets, gives her the hot chocolate and just cuddles her close, asking about her day or just sweet nothings. While Hope wouldn’t grab any blankets, she would just go and hug the living hell out of him.
Who in the OTP would be more ready to sacrifice themself for the other?
My answer would be both, but Hope is a bit more ready to sacrifice herself for John. If it’s a moment where they have to act quickly she would be faster to throw herself in front of John, protecting him even if it costs her life. John would do the same, but he’s more an avanger than a protector.
Who sings along with the radio?
Hope, and John finds it utterly adorable. Even if it’s just hums or full voiced singing, Hope does it while: showering, cooking, driving. Sometimes even without a radio, if a song is stuck in her head she humms it all day long and John just smiles at her from afar.
Who hogs the blanket?
Hope. If John thought a king sized bed will prevent someone of snatching the blanket from his side. He was wrong! John could try getting the blanket back to his side, but fails every time. So that’s why they sleep with double blankets... thing is Hope hogs that too.
Who is embarrassed when they have to wear their glasses and who thinks they look super cute?
John is embarrassed when he complains about his headaches only to realize it’s time for him to wear glasses. So when he puts them up he tries to hide it or go to his office, to read there. But Hope finds it incredibly cute, and also hot as well.
Who does some crazy stunt to try and impress the other and who ends up driving them to the emergency room after it backfires?
Absolutely Hope. She’s done some crazy things before but sometimes when her stunt doesn’t go her way and it ends up with her being injured, John rushes her to the emergency, both saying she’s an asshole and stupid but also saying he loves her and has to stop acting like this. Although he’s always impressed by her, even if her stunt doesn’t work.
Who sleeps on the couch when they get into a fight?
John. He has to because if they fight and it ends with Hope saying: “Okay... you’re sleeping on the couch!” And John dares to say: “This is my house, I’m not going to sleep there!” Then he’s in more trouble than before. Because she’ll get angry and say: “Fine! Then I’m going over to Kim and you can stay here with your stupid house!” If the fight goes to that point John knows he did it, it will take a lot for her to forgive him. So when he gets clever and just stays on the couch Hope usually comes down in the middle of the night, getting under the blanket with him, hugging him and saying she’s sorry for being mean to him. He wins if he chooses the couch.
Who takes a selfie when the other one falls asleep on their shoulder? / Who takes photos of the other while they sleep?
John. His phone would be full of photos of Hope in every kind of situation. He has different folders for everything, and there’s definitely a folder for the pics only about Hope sleeping.
Who is louder in bed?
John, without any doubts. He loves the sound of his own voice and he’s a talker. Sex won’t stop him to stay silent, it will encourage him even more, talking about how good she feels and how much he loves her. Also some other stuff if his BDSM kink kicks in.
Who knocks on the other’s door crying at 4am?
Hope. She’s more emotional in this way. She cries more about things than John - though he’s pretty emotional around her, Hope still wins in this. If she ever feels lonely, or just not sure how John feels about her. She wouldn’t be able to sleep and would end up knocking on John’s door, saying sorry over and over again and just smashing into his chest and crying.
Who takes longer getting ready?
John, definitely. Hope can get ready in ten minutes, she’s used to it from her work of being a deputy and from the time spent in Hope County. But John, he takes his time. Making sure his dress is perfect, he spent enough time under the shower, he done his hair right, etc. He has a routine and he doesn’t care if Hope is begging him to hurry the hell up, he won’t.
Who talks to the other while they are sleeping?
Hope doesn’t know about it, but John does it almost every time. Just whispering, to not wake her up, talking about all kinds of stuff. Opening up to her, telling her how he feels about her or other things in general. Or even just tell stories about his childhood, or some cases he’d done while being in Atlanta.
Who shops for groceries?
Hope, almost every time. Only on few occasions, like Hope getting sick or just not feeling alright, OR being on her period is when John takes over and goes shopping himself.
Who bakes the other a cake and puts a playful insult on it?
Hope. She’s a great cook and she loves baking cookies and cakes. And she would definitely bake something and decorate it with “to the jerk I love” with a winky face. John would roll his eyes but smile and appreciate it anyway.
Who cuts the others hair?
John loves playing with Hope’s hair and will adore that she lets him cut it, if it gets too long or out of control. He’s good at what he’s doing as well so she doesn’t have to worry. On the other hand Hope is pretty clumsy in this, so she doesn’t even offer to cut John’s hair. But she’ll gladly shave him, if he lets her.
Which one of your OTP overdoes it on the alcohol and which one makes the other stop drinking?
Neither of them drink, really, for obvious reasons. Hope just hating alcohol, and John not wanting to get back to his addiction. But on few occasions, when John feels bad and grabs the bottle it’s Hope that confronts him about it. She’s gentle but firm with him about the topic, saying she loves him, but he has to stop. On other occasions, for example a party or a wedding of a friend Hope might grab the bottle and drink. Only for John to come to her rescue and help her to sober up, pulling her hair back when she pukes into the toilet.
Who is sleepy and cuddly all the time?
Both of them, really. They love cuddling and just being lazy. If they have something important to do in the day it’s pretty hard for both of them to get out of bed and just let go of each other.
Who is horny all the time?
John, John and John. Sure, Hope likes to sleep with him, but it’s John who is ready to do it 24/7, no matter the place and time. Or position, his body is ready and he makes sure to let Hope know about it as well.
Who wakes up first?
Usually Hope. She’s used to wake early in the morning and lets John sleep while getting ready, taking a shower. But sometimes John wakes up first, and then he doesn’t leave the bed, just caresses her hair while Hope sleeps or plants kisses on her body until she wakes up.
Which one gives the other a piggyback ride when they’re tired?
John loves to carry Hope on his back. She’s small and not heavy so it’s even easy for him to do it. When she gets tired after a walk or almost falls asleep in the house, he picks her up on his back and carries her to the bed.
Who likes to wear the others sweatshirts?
Hope loves to wear a lot of John’s clothes, but John loves it even better, to watch her being in his sweatshirt or in his pants or his coat. He likes it because it shows even more that Hope is his and his alone.
Who is the morning/night person?
They’re both night owls. Both fighting with insomnia a lot, but Hope can get up early a lot more easily than John. If they spend a whole night awake and have to continue their next day, John looks a lot more exhausted and acts more grumpy than before. On the other hand Hope can stay energetic for at least a couple of days before acting up.
Do they like the food network channel?
Sometimes when they’re bored they watch it, but they don’t pay too much attention to it, just having it as a background noise.
How good would your OTP be at parenting?
Both are wonderful parents. Hope is a great mother, sometimes strict, but very loving and caring, always protecting their child and making sure they’re safe and sound. She would be strict, giving rules and not letting their child do whatever they please, but not on an extreme level. She would encourage their child to be whoever they want to be and would praise them a lot. John would be careful at first with parenting, afraid he might be a bad father like the ones he had. Then would become more comfortable at what he does, giving everything to their child they deserve and more. Not just objects but love and care as well. He would be a lot more forgiving if their child acted out, but that’s why they would make great parents, balancing it out.
Who wants to have sex at work/school and who is terrified of getting caught?
John is ready to have sex in his office anytime, and Hope would be very nervous about it, trying to stop him, saying they’ll be caught. But would eventually ease up and just go with the flow.
Who is a fussy eater and who will eat food even if they’ve dropped it on the floor?
Neither is picky in what they eat, really. John had a bad experience in his childhood to know that he can be greatful to have the chance to eat something at all. And Hope’s not a fussy eater either. Although neither of them would go to the extremes of eating something that they dropped on the floor... well, three second rule for Hope sometimes.
Who’s prone to wearing socks indoors (or to sleep)?
Hope just LOVES fluffy socks and she’ll wear them indoors, always. Especially in cold weather, she just loves those fluffy things John bought for her and she would show it off with a grin to John as well, like a five year old, happy with her ‘toy’. Because those are definitely socks with a penguin or another animal on it. But they don’t wear socks to sleep.
Who reminds the other to put on sunscreen before going to the beach (or pool)?
Hope. She’s a lot like a mother, wife and girlfriend to John, really. So she definitely makes him stop before going and just putting a whole bottle of sunscreen on him. He acts annoyed, but loves the attention and care.
Who would have 10 pets if they could and who is adorably shy around animals?
Hope has a dog, a cougar and a bear for companions on her missions in Hope County, so pretty much she’s the one to pick every stray animal from the street and introduce them to John with a simple: “This is xy, they are or new pet, deal with it.”. John is mostly shocked what kind of animals she keeps bringing home and can get attached to. He loves simpler animals: dogs and cats, mostly cats. So he would be pretty shy around her wild animals. But after some time he loves those fluffy creatures like they were his children.
Who keeps getting threatened by the other’s overprotective older sibling?
Hope, all the time. Jacob never stops with his teasing and threats. Sometimes it’s hard to tell these from each other, when it comes to Jacob. He’s overprotective with John and will always be, no matter how long Hope and John has been together.
Who will have sex in any place and at any time?
John, without any question. He loves getting intimate with her at any time and any place. She’s near him, he’s pretty much ready to go, she just needs to give the word, sometimes not even that.
Who makes fun of the other for having a crush on them, and who has to remind them that they are in a relationship?
John would tease the hell out of Hope even after years, and be smug like: “you know you love me”. And Hope would give the exact same reaction as always, with a face that says: “bruh, we’ve been together for years now, of course I love you, you stupid little shit.”
Who is more protective?
John. While they’re both protective over each other in a different way, he’s more possessive and protective over Hope.
Who would accidentally set the kitchen on fire while cooking?
John. He tries sometimes to surprise Hope with something, but he’s not a good cook. Sometimes he can actually make an edible meal, but it’s a very rare thing to happen. He would usually burn the food or make it too wet, and so it’s not a surprise when Hope comes home and the kitchen is on fire, John using a fire extinguisher on it.
Who reads while the other snuggles up to them?
John. Sometimes he just reads law books that he wants to go over again and Hope asks him to read it loud, and she snuggles up to him, falling asleep to his voice. Sometimes it doesn’t even have to be a law book, just some random book he reads for the night. She loves the way his voice goes over the words, so vivid and smooth.
Which one likes to surprise the other with a lot of small random gifts?
John likes to drown Hope in gifts. Even though she told him he doesn’t have to buy her anything, he still does it, wanting to express his love and care for her with gifts. Though he buys a lot of stuff, he also makes some notes and just leaves it for her to find during the day, love letters and poems he wrote. Hope appreciates and loves those more than any other gifts.
Who sleeps in the other’s lap?
Hope does it more than John. But sometimes John snuggles up to Hope as well, laying his head in her lap and letting her toy with his hair and singing him to sleep.
Who is incredible in bed and completely knocks the other off their feet the first time they have sex?
John has a lot of exprience and he loves to make sure his partner feels good during sex. And the first time being Hope’s first time as well, he’s gentle with her, which actually surprises the young woman. He’s great as well, really great, but she won’t give him the satisfaction, to boost his ego about it. He already knows anyway.
Who points at a dog when they see it?
Hope. She just loves animals and when she sees a dog, she grabs his hand and pulls on it like a child, to then point at the cute animal. He would try to shush her: “ow, ow, okay, yeah, I see it, it’s right in front of us, stop..ow... stop pulling on my arm!”
Who sneaks in cookies in the shopping cart?
Hope. If they go shopping together John would push the shopping trolley around the store, looking at the shelves and making sure they get everything from the list. And Hope would act like a ninja, putting all kinds of sweets into the cart only to John to find out about it when they’re already in line. She would act innocent and pull up her best puppy eyes on him. He would buy it anyway, he loves to treat her with anything.
Who starts the hand holding?
John. It’s a show of affection and love on his side. And not just only for her but also for others, to know that she belongs to him. He’s protective over what is his.
Who grabs the others butt? Who slides their arm around their waist?
John, he does it always. Not only that, he loves to keep any kind of physical connection with her, be a hand holding, butt grabbing, waist hugging, carressing her cheeks. He loves to be physical and he loves the attention he can offer to her. She loves it as well, but she’s more shy around others out in the public than he is.
Who likes to put their fingers in the belt loops?
It’s not their thing to do. But Hope would pull him closer, putting her fingers in his belt loops once to kiss him. It would put him off guard and surprise him, but would love it non the less.
Who bugs the other while they’re trying to get work done?
Hope. She just LOVES annoying him and teasing him while he tries to focus on his work. She would put on a show if they’re home: wearing her hottest lingerie and walk in front of his office door like that. He would leave his office in about 2 seconds to go after her and make sure she knows to not tease him like that when he works. Although she wins, obviously. But it’s not just the intimate teasing she does. If he tries to go over papers or work, she would pull on his arm, give his shoulders a massage and just try to make him to go and relax and just cuddle.
Who proposes?
John, and he has it planned since the beggining of their relationship. Before that, even. He’s a big planner and he loves to do things in big. It’s going to be something she’ll never forget and he’ll make sure of that. Although he would be nervous about it, under the layers of confidence, he would fear she would reject him. But she won’t. She wouldn’t.
Who is more likely to cry over a sad book or movie?
Hope. She’s an emotional baby in this topic. She’s always annoyed how John doesn’t react to these kind of things like that. “HOW COULD YOU NOT CRY?! MUFASA JUST DIED!” She would shout over her tears as John points at the tv: “Sure, it’s sad, but I’m not going to cry over an animation!”
Who says shitty puns and sex jokes just to see the other giggle and blush?
No matter how long they’ve been together, John will always flirt with Hope and vice versa. They love their dirty talk and flirts.
Who starts random slow dancing with the other in the kitchen?
John would come behind Hope while she prepares the food, grabbing her hands and slow dance to the good oldies songs on the radio. She would giggle through it, he would grin at her the whole time.
Who holds the other just above the ground and kisses them?
John and Hope loves hates it. She always fears he’ll let her fall one day and smack him on the shoulder afterwards, saying he can’t do that ever again as he walks away, chuckling. But he would do it again and again, and she secretly loves it.
Who is more seductive when they are drunk?
Hope. She’s an emotional drunk and it’s more like her being emotionally seductive. Asking for sex and for him to never let her go and say other nonsense as well. They never end up being intimate if one of them is drunk though.
Who has an adorable sneeze and who sneezes so aggressively they pull a muscle?
Hope finds John’s sneeze adorable and he’s very shy about it, being embarrassed at first when she hears him. But she loves it and finds it cute. Hope has a pretty average sneeze. It’s nothing special really, but John loves it the same.
Who checks the prices while grocery shopping?
Hope always does that. She’s used to being an average girl, with counting her money and everything she wants to buy. On the other hand John just throws things into the cart without looking at prices. He only checks the bill afterwards, because he keeps track of what he wasted his money on. He’s thorough with his expenses. But not because he doesn’t have the money.
Who reaches for the other one’s hand while driving?
John. If they’re going on a trip or he has the wheel, he reaches for her hand or her thigh and caresses her skin with a smile.
Who wakes the other up in the middle of the night to tell them a cool dream they had?
Hope would totally do this and John would look at her in alarm, not knowing why the hell she woke him up. He would think there’s an intruder in the house of a fire had started. Then he would pull a pillow over his eyes and smile as she tells about her cool dream. It’s an exhausting experience, but he adores her for doing it.
Who has the most nightmares, and who sings them back to sleep after?
Hope has a lot of nightmares, sometimes she doesn’t even want to go back to sleep, but John is there to make her comfortable, cuddling up to her, caressing her hair, giving kisses to her sweaty forehead, shussing her and singing to her their song. He doesn’t sing much, he’s unsure about his voice as well, but he does love to sing her back to sleep quietly.
Who writes poems/stories and love songs about the other? Do they sing the songs the write for them?
John writes a lot of poems for her daily notes and he also writes a song just for her. He loves expressing himself to her this way, and although he’s pretty shy about his voice he does sing sometimes to her, or with her. She always tells him his voice is great, he shouldn’t be shy about it.
Who is the more relaxed one?
Neither of them are really relaxed, honestly. They’re both pretty energetic and non stoppable. But Hope is a bit more chill about some things, and she loves to pull him into it as well.
Who cooks at 2 in the morning?
Hope. Mostly bakes some brownies or makes some hot chocolate. But she makes sure to not wake John. But if he does wake up, with an empty bed he goes down to check up on her, staying in the kitchen and watching her do her thing.
Who picks fights for no reason just so they can have kinky sex?
Both of them, but John does it a lot more. He’s a lot more kinkier than Hope and loves to pull her doing these things with him. She’s adaptable for it as well.
Which of your OTP gets emotionally attached to the characters in a show and has to be comforted by the other one when a main character dies?
Hope. She’s an emotional person and hates when her favourite characters die. John doesn’t comfort her, he just laughs how ridiculous but adorable she is. She’ll get angry at him: “how can you laugh? This is sad.” and he would try and hug her to be pushed away at first, but eventually she would let him cuddle her.
Who is always running late and always gives the other a running late quick kiss?
Neither of them do this really, they have a pretty great routine and they can follow it as well when they go to work.
Which one tells the other not to stay up all night and which one stays up all night anyway?
Both of them are night owls. So both say: Hope: “We should go to sleep.” John: “I know.” “You won’t be able to wake up, if you don’t go to sleep.” “I’ll go to sleep if you go to sleep.” “Well, then... we should have sex.” Pretty much sums them up.
Who greatly exaggerates being sick every time they feel even a little poorly just so the other will take care of them?
John does this, because he loves the attention and care Hope gives him whenever he’s sick. Hope knows he acts most of the time, but she takes care of him still, calling him a big baby.
Who secretly admires the hell out of the other and thinks they’re the bravest person they’ve ever met?
John admires Hope in all ways. Thinking she’s the wildest and bravest woman he ever met. But also calls her bold, reckless and stupid whenever she gets into trouble, hating to have to worry about her.
Who constantly tries to get the other to shower with them?
Hope likes to shower alone, but John wants to share that moment with her, just like every other moment they have. Not even for the sex - though he loves that - just to cuddle under the water and run sloppy kisses on her wet back.
Who was popular in high school and who lies that they were just to impress the other?
John lies about being popular in school. In fact, he was a big nerd, no one really liked him. But he loves making up stories about how cool he was and how popular he was. Hope gives him the look of doubt, knowing exactly when John lies. So she usually tells him about her stories in high school, how much of a loner she was and it was horrible. Which leads to John telling her the truth as well, to make her feel better.
Who takes like 10 minutes of persuading to get out of bed each morning?
If they have nothing better to do. Then both. Just like a conversation about going to sleep. “We should get out of bed.” “I know.” “... you go first.” “...after you.”
Which one tries to make food for the other but burns it all by accident and which one tells them that it’s okay and makes them both cookies?
John tries, tries really hard to do at least one great meal for her, but fails. And to make it better Hope bakes his favourite cookies for him. He’s still pissed he didn’t succeed, but is happy with the sweets.
Who’s the first one to admit they have feelings for the other?
They’re complicated. They don’t really say it at first, but show that they care for each other and have feelings for each other. But eventually Hope is the one to say it out loud. Not on her own accord, being captured by a crazed stranger, then finding out she’s pregnant with his kid makes her say how she feels about him though.
Who makes the bad puns and who makes a pained smile every time the other makes a pun?
They’re both great at their jokes and teasing, really. Both acting annoyed by the other one. It’s their weird way of flirting with each other.
Who is more into taking showers/baths together? Who tries to make it relaxing and who tries to make it sexy time?
John wants to take showers and baths together. And he tries to make it relaxing and a sexy time as well, he’s good with both. While Hope prefers her showers to be lonely. But if John does want to join her so badly she would prefer a relaxing bath.
Who would throw the other into a pool?
Hope would definitely push John into a pool. “Cleanse yourself John!” But she would jump right after him, to not make him feel lonely.
Who thinks they are not good enough for the others love? Who’s more afraid of losing the other?
John is terrified he’s not good enough and that one day Hope will realize that too and leave him.
Who thinks they keep messing up, only for the other to tell them they don’t need to worry?
John, especially when he becomes a father, but Hope keeps reassuring him that he’s more than good at what he does.
Who believes in astrology and who doesn’t care and just wants the other to make out with them?
Hope loves the constellations and the stars. But doesn’t really believe in astrology. John neither, so I guess that leaves both of them wanting to make out.
Who is prone to road rage?
Both of them are wrath, so it’s pretty much both. They do it rarely, but when they do they both shout from the car only to then laugh at how ridiculous they are.
Who likes to walk around the house naked and who tells the other to go put some clothes on? Or who walks around the house half-naked and who yells at them to put on some clothes?
John loves to walk half-naked around the house. If it’s their room then even naked, but he usually puts on some pants. Hope does the opposite, walking around the house in his shirt and her underwear on, but without pants. They don’t tell each other off, both of them enjoying the view.
Who said “I love you” first? and who ends their arguments in a fight with “Because I love you”?
John uses the ‘because I love you’ a lot in fights, because he knows that’s an excuse Hope will love, even if in the heat of the moment she doesn’t care and keeps arguing. Hope says ‘I love you’ first to John, because he’s more careful around the words, afraid his feelings aren’t returned. After that he can’t shut up how much he loves her.
Who is super bad at sexting? Who sends them encouraging messages throughout the day?
John would sext her all the time, keeping all the messages they exchange, not afraid even a bit someone else, like Jacob, being curious might see it. ‘At least you could delete them’. ‘Are you kidding me? They’re precious.’ But Hope is more shy around these things.
Who initiates cuddling sessions?
Both of them. Both love to cuddle, and they could argue about it for years who wants it more, because both of them love it equally. Thank God, they don’t fight about it.
If they were about to rob a museum, which one does backflips through lasers and which one is strolling behind with a bag of chips?
Probably Hope would do both. While John just buys the whole museum.
Who kisses first? Who initiated the first kiss?
John kissed her first. Sure he was drunk and she was emotional and vulnerable at the time, but they both loved it and wanted to do it way earlier than that anyway.
Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant?
John, he keeps track of everything that Hope likes even a little in his head. He’s really attentive and caring in this way, always making sure that he knows what she likes and what she doesn’t likes.
Who comes home from work to see that the other one bought a puppy?
John comes into the house, greeted by a scene of Hope holding up a puppy to his face with a grin: “Meet Sirius, he will live with us from now on.” “Oh God, another one? Why don’t we just buy a damn zoo?”
Who rocks the Ferris wheel seat and who flips out and begs them to stop?
John would rock the seat, while Hope grabs on dear life, begging him to stop. John is not afraid of the heights and he keeps laughing at her while she fears for their life.
Who starts a food fight in the kitchen?
Hope. She would make a cute and playful line of flour on John’s nose, saying he has to let her cook. Then John would return the favour. The whole kitchen will be covered in flour in about ten minutes both of them laughing like children.
Who initiates duets and who is the better singer?’
Hope is the one to encourage John to sing along with her, and after some begging he does. Hope is a better singer, but John’s not bad himself and they’re having fun whenever they end up singing duets.

so here I am look for an old article about robert downey jr that I read ages ago and instead i stumble upon this dinosaur
it’s dated April 30, 2014, which means captain america: winters soldier was the last movie that had been released (march 13, 2014) prior to this article being written.
i remember reading this article too at the time, and I remember the dramatic sigh I let out when it laid out all these great points about how certain things would never come to fruition. except now I’m reading it for the second time, four years later, and i’m smiling, because guess fucking what. I think almost everything mention in this article has actually already happened or is going to happen, and to be honest, i’ve never been happier to have some bullshit, cynical thinkpiece proven wrong.
the article starts off by claiming certain character will never get their standalone films and how could that possibly be when, at the time, we already had four spider-man movies, three iterations of the hulk/bruce banner, and a handful of other superheroes who had a heyday prior to the current explosion of superhero content.
specifically the article grapples with the idea of how we’ll never get a solo deadpool film or a standalone black widow.
and yet here we are today with two deadpool films already released and black widow being talked about (in fairness, the fact that there’s two deadpool movies and no black widow, is just a gross injustice, but I’ll take what I can get).
i love it when cynics get proven wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.
(for context, the rest of the entry simply explains that heroes with masks get more movies because you can pay the actors less money because you can have stand-ins act their part out when you see them in costume and the actors who are worth more like RDJ, don’t have to be on set as much and thus marvel can afford to pay him his asking salary. and with a heroine like black widow, she doesn’t wear a mask and they would not be willing to pay ScarJo her asking salary as a big star-- again, proven deadass wrong)
so, the title of this one is pretty self explanatory. have we seen the x-men working together with the avengers? obviously-fucking-not. however, that could also be easily a reality if this fox/disney merger actually comes through. but one thing we have gotten is spider-man working with the avengers. and not just in one avengers movie, but in three full movies, one avengers, one his own, and one captain america film. that’s a win if i ever saw one.
did I mention i love when cynics get proven wrong?
another great and self explanatory entry that also gets proven wrong with this most recent phase 3.
just to recap, phase 3 is
Ant-Man (okay, it’s phase 2, but) -- not only did we get a nice scene as to why the avengers weren’t called, but Falcon shows up anyway. was it to help? no. still a nice punch in the face for the guy who thought avengers wouldn’t show up in each other’s movies.
Captain America: Civil War -- we literally get all the avengers on this one (with the exception of the obvious Thor and Hulk being missing for justifiable reasons, with ya know, the whole being in space shit). I don’t care if this is “avengers 2.5″ it was still marketed and is titled a captain america film, so the avengers did show up to help and fight each other.
Spider-Man: Homecoming -- literally the OG avanger himself is a side player in spidey’s solo outing. so i don’t think i even need to go into this one more. iron man is a huge help in more ways than one so.
Thor: Ragnarok -- I like to think of this as a reverse Civil War in that the two players not featured in Civil War get their own little buddy film, and obviously the avengers weren’t going to show up when neither Thor nor Hulk really had means of contacting them short of going to earth, and literally half the movie is Thor literally trying to escape a planet, so like, priorities on this one, but either way, Hulk shows up, so it counts.
the rest of the films in phase 3 I like to think justifiably do not heavily feature other avengers (Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Guadians 2) if only because, two of them are solo outings that introduce characters and with one of them being a king from an african nation that literally conceals and hides itself from the rest of the world? legit reason. but then you have bucky come in at the end and thor at the end of doctor strange, so can we really say they didn’t have other avengers in them to begin with? and again, i think both these movie make good cases for why they didn’t call or ask anyone else for help in their respective cases. especially guardians, who are unaware of the avengers anyway and wouldn’t be calling them to begin with
and aside from the main article arguing that the casts have six picture deals that prevent them from doing more than their six films (3 solo films + 3 avengers), civil war and spider-man made it clear, that if it makes sense, marvel is more than willing to renegotiate contracts in order to have characters appear in each other’s films as long as it makes sense for the story and enhances as opposed to detracting from solo films, which should be about their respective heroes to begin with
this is impossible to argue at this point, so i won’t even try. considering the original avengers are still exploring their big story arc. i like to think, though marvel is making way for new heroes. i think it’s clear, especially with rumors i’ve heard about what marvel is planning for phase 4, they may not necessarily resolve a hero by completely retiring him or her, but they are going to explore other stories. they will probably kill some, which will be a definite resolution, whereas other may get an ending whether it’s outright retirement or simply passing on their mantle to a side player, they will get solid endings. i also am in the camp that each movie is its own story and those stories get resolved in and of themselves within their respective films, so i also think it’s a matter of opinion.
i will say this, though, part of the article argues about how marvel will not use the same director twice.
a. they have in fact begun to keep directors around. the russo brothers have a streak going, with three movies currently under their belt and a fourth movie on the way.
b. they are more than willing to keep directors for as long as they would like. it’s clear james gunn has his way with the guardians movies and peyton reed has taken on ant-man. scott derickson has expressed more than enough interest in coming on for a second doctor strange film, if it gets made, and jon watts is officially doing the spider-man sequel.
c. joss whedon chose to not do avengers 3 saying the second one p much stressed and burned him out. it was, from the sounds of it, a personal choice he made. and while i think he hinted at the way marvel didn’t give him the creative freedom he wanted, other directors actively vouch for the amount of freedoms they get, notably james gunn, peyton reed, scott derickson and taika waititi who have all vocalized these feelings on twitter (and if you made it this far and want screenshots, i’d be glad to look it up and show you the tweets myself). i think the joss whedon scenario was just whedon wanting to do something that the marvel executives didn’t want and in fairness to marvel, a lot of fans were more than happy to have whedon stepped down and i am of the personal opinion that it was a good decision in the end. but in fairness to the writer of the original article, whedon, at the time, was the golden child who delivered an avengers movie that worked and was a box office hit and critical acclaim, so he probably had a lot of stress, pressure, and contention with marvel while making avengers 2.
d. i think it’s incredibly clear from thor: ragnarok that marvel allows its directors plenty of artistic license. ragnarok was as amazing and insane as it was only because of taika and it was better for it. any other director could not have pulled off what taika did. you cannot convince me otherwise and the proof is in the logo
ragnarok logo went from this boring piece of shit
to this bright, beautiful miracle
but 3 out of 4 things happening four years later? that ain’t bad.
i also like to think marvel is constantly learning and has made it clear that it wants to tell great stories and it will do whatever it can to tell those stories with the passion fans deserve.
original link to the article is here if you’re curious ( x )

How 2Checkout’s New Ordering Engines, Inline Cart and ConvertPlus, Can Optimize Your Conversion Rate
Each customer reacts differently to the online checkout experience, and it is critical to tailor it as much as possible to their needs and comfort level in order to drive conversions and increase revenue. Fortunately, 2Checkout offers two ordering engines that help merchants customize the best setup for their customers: Inline Cart and ConvertPlus.
In a recent workshop we organized a live demo on Inline and ConvertPlus and we went through the ordering engines’ main features. Alongside our audience, we went behind-the-scenes, reviewing the merchant’s perspective, as well as what the shopper would experience. In this talk, I demonstrated how either of these carts substantially benefit merchants in multiple ways:
Improving shopper experience through a fresh & up-to-date design
Localizing the shopper’s experience, including access to both international and local payment methods
Converting more leads into customers through lead management features
Increasing average order value through promotions and other marketing tools
…all of which result in significant increases in conversion rate and revenue
We began with a brief description of our larger “factory,” 2Checkout’s Avangate Monetization Platform, whose modular capabilities cover many use cases and makes it one of the top eCommerce solutions. Businesses can use some or all of its following offerings:
Digital commerce
Global payments
Subscription billing
Global tax and financial services
Partner sales
Risk management and compliance
Reporting and analytics
Before diving into the specifics of Inline Cart and ConvertPlus, the two ordering engines that were the focus of the workshop, I detailed three critical features that define how 2Checkout can handle the checkout flow:
Product Catalog. Businesses need to have it and, fortunately, 2Checkout does offer the functionality to accommodate multifaceted product pages, based on:
Product type: digital/physical
Pricing configurations
Subscription billing
Product options
Advanced pricing options
Dynamic Products. For those cases when the product catalogue is managed outside the platform, 2Checkout offers a mechanism designed to let businesses pass product related information from their system to 2Checkout without being required to have them configured. For example, the product can have a defined name to be displayed in cart pricing and recurring option assigned; an item with a coupon offer can contain the discount to be applied to the entire order; the item can contain the name and amount corresponding to the shipping method; and additional tax fees and charges can be considered in the ordering process.
Checkout Localization. Irrespective of how and where the products are set up, 2Checkout’s engines have this important feature embedded, dynamically customizing the checkout flow with international and local payment methods, display language, or currencies, based on each shopper’s location. This feature alone can increase authorization rates by up to 25%, limit cart abandonment, and improve the customer experience.
After this intro, we entered the 2Checkout Merchant Control Panel and did a walkthrough for the easy process of setting up either ConvertPlus or Inline Cart.
ConvertPlus
ConvertPlus is an out-of-the-box ordering engine that requires zero development and involves a redirect to 2Checkout for the checkout step. It supports numerous configurations available in the platform for pricing, fulfillment, renewal, etc.
How does it work? The merchant sets up its products either in the 2Checkout product catalog or dynamically, and a link is generated that can be placed behind a button on their website. When the customer clicks the button they will be redirected to the 2Checkout payment page, which is clear, minimalistic, and easy to use, with a short form that only contains the mandatory order fields and a dynamically generated list of available payment methods depending on the shopper’s location.
ConvertPlus offers the merchant the opportunity to customize the basic template without any technical or programing skills, by adjusting colors, header and body elements, fonts and images. ConvertPlus is also equipped with a signature feature that secures the payment process when dynamic products or custom price parameters are used.
There is a guide available for ConvertPlus users, that is feature-oriented with all the steps of implementation explained.
Inline Cart
The Inline Cart offers a seamless experience without redirecting the shopper to a different checkout page, by opening up the cart in an overlay on top of the merchants’ website.
The Inline Cart is best for use cases where the merchant already collects most of the shopper information on their site, and just needs the payment processing function. It is a simple interface with no distracting elements, and a minimalistic design.
For best use of Inline cart, we have an Inline Cart Checkout guide available, an extensive library with very detailed scenarios addressed and explained step-by-step, including a demo.
Towards the end of our demo, we went over our platform’s available marketing capabilities, including promotions, coupons (one-time and multiple), recurring charges, etc. The lead management function can compile lists of leads in two categories, so the corresponding marketing campaign can be tailored to the category:
Unfinished payments campaigns, where customers tried to place an order but payment didn’t go through, even after retry.
Shopping cart abandons, where the customers left the cart without completing the order.
We concluded with some success stories that show how employing either Inline Cart or ConvertPlus ordering engines resulted in successful cart conversions (a 9 to 20% increase), a streamlined customer experience, and an uptick in revenue, up to a 20% increase, for different businesses.
To view the entire workshop and learn more about how ConvertPlus and Inline Cart can benefit your business, check out the full session here.

Imagine Tony helping you with an invention
You've been in the lab trying to complete your new invention, a solar-powered robot. You worked on this investment for more than two weeks and even now you had not managed to make it work, you followed the plan strictly and nothing escaped you. But you still couldn't figure out where you were wrong, you reached for your cup of coffee and realized with disappointment that there was nothing left in it. You got up and went to the kitchen to make a third coffee today and hoped that by a miracle you would be able to make your robot fly. Entering the kitchen, you went quickly and made your coffee, then sat down at the counter, analyzing the plan for the hundredth time, until a familiar voice startled you.
“What are you creating this time?” He asked.
"Oh my God! Tony ,you scary me . I was working on my new invention, a solar-powered flying robot. But ..." You stopped halfway through the sentence, you didn't want to tell him the truth, you didn't want him to know that you failed . You were afraid he would laugh, so you tried not to reveal anything.
"But? Is everything okay? Y / N? Do you need help?", he asked after in the next second he takes the plans out of your hand and looked at them very carefully.
"Hey! Those are mine. Give them back."
"You know, if you changed a little here and there, I think your bird would fly," he said, returning his plan.
"I didn't ask for your help! And it's not a bird ." you said.
"I know you don't asked . But I know one thing you're not good at asking for help or saying what you want, but your eyes do. You know my number call me whenever you need me." he said, and winked at you before leaving the room.

How SysTools Software Has Created a Successful Affiliate Marketing Program
Interview with Chirag Arora, Marketing Manager at SysTools
Thank you, Chirag, for taking the time for this interview. The company you represent, SysTools Software, has been working with us for a year now, and has shown great results in running the affiliate program with Avangate/2Checkout.
Q1. Could you please tell our readers more about SysTools?
SysTools Software, as the name suggests, is an IT company whose digital imprints have been global since 2007. SysTools’ journey to simplify technology has been nothing short of epic. Many benchmark products have been developed and released by our company, including major contributions in the domain of data recovery, data backup, cloud migration, and digital forensics.
Since the world is moving towards cloud migration, SysTools has come up with the top, most efficient tools to migrate data to the cloud. As a result, today SysTools is the leading company in the arena of data recovery and data migration tools. SysTools’ award-winning, 100% malware-free products have become the number one choice of three million users worldwide.
Q2. We at 2Checkout are celebrating a year of collaboration with SysTools, going from first building up the affiliate program, to recruiting affiliates, and now managing all of your affiliate marketing promotional activities. Looking back, how will you describe this evolution to what SysTools’ affiliate program has become?
First, it has been a wonderful journey over the past year with 2Checkout and its team, a journey SysTools chose to begin when 2Checkout and Avangate started their collaboration. The evolution of setting up an affiliate program is a slow process, but we had the right guidance from you guys.
We began with the basic step of building up our connections, then to managing all the promotional activities. Today, after a year of collaboration, we are earning good revenue from affiliate marketing as things have finally started falling into place. We are connected with a large number of affiliate partners worldwide. Even under the unusual circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are yielding good results using affiliate marketing, even more than when we put together the case study on the affiliate program success.
Check out the SysTools Affiliate Success Story here.
Q3. What is the most challenging aspect of working with affiliates? What is your advice for businesses that are deciding whether or not to open an affiliate program?
The most challenging aspect that we’ve faced while working with affiliates has been to activate all the partners in terms of promotion. Even if you have thousands of affiliates connected with you, very few among them actively participates to pitch your products to their fullest potential, because they might need more awareness and guidance in this arena.
Q4. Your company has generated more than 12% revenue, thanks to the affiliate program with Avangate/2Checkout. Can you please share with our readers what some of your tactics to increase the revenue from this channel have been?
To earn a good revenue through affiliate marketing, the most useful tactic that every affiliate marketer should use is offering exciting deals and discounts on a weekly and/or monthly basis. Furthermore, Avangate plays a vital role in our success as they are always utilizing some kinds of promotional activities. Communication is also crucial – so don’t overlook this aspect – to raise awareness about your program among your connections, including running campaigns, scheduling promotional newsletters, conducting interviews, and other activities like these.
Q5. For 2020, we are in a very unusual situation as the world copes with the COVID-19 pandemic. How do think this will impact online commerce and the affiliate marketing activities?
Coronavirus is shaking up businesses and consumer behavior on a massive scale, but there are two sides to the coin. The pandemic impacts affiliate marketing in both positive and negative ways, depending on the category of product they are promoting. So, while some are suffering traffic or revenue declines, others are seeing increases. We feel optimistic during this unusual situation that several of our affiliate partners are generating unbeatable conversions and retention rates.
Q6. To wrap things up, affiliate marketing stands for communication, building strategical partnerships with key affiliates, and performance-based rewards. Can you please tell us what you appreciate the most in a business relationship?
Since affiliate marketing is all about retaining healthy relationships with our partners, I would say that what we most appreciate is our potential and dedicated partners, who put forth their best efforts and actively participate in all of the exciting activities. We always give our best to keep our partners encouraged and motivated, by offering exciting rewards to our top three performers on a monthly basis.
Curious to learn how else did the collaboration with 2Checkout benefit SysTools? Make sure to watch this interview with Chirag!
